I'd consider using Forspoken for either Tan or Brown (both of which are still free on your card,) as they are much more obvious matches - and Blue for Hogwarts, given the dominance of the background...

... but up to you - there's enough there to see where you were aiming with them!

Machinarium for Tan. An interesting little puzzle game with a very nice, quirky art style. Similiar to the old Lucasfilm point and click games. Man, I missed playing those.

 

Peaky Blinders for Brown. Heard a lot of good things about this game so thought I'd give it a shot even If I've never watched the show. A bit weird that, but I'm glad I did. Another interesting puzzle game with a time forward and backward mechanic, Simiiar to Sexy Brutale in a way, where the entire level happens at once. 2 of my gold medal level times were milliseconds away from going over!. So, challenging but fun.

 

Also, this is a really cool way to adapt a show for gaming. Doesn't affect the show even if you haven't watched it. And since i started binging it right after i finished the game, i can tell fas of the show already would have had some fun with this.

 

Next! Gonna go for something a little longer for next game, Mafia for orange. Then, I've got 1 more trophy for Days Gone: Challenge Maps which I don eve know if i can actually do because it's been kicking my ass! Bloody Hell.

?Adding a new game, with Puyo Puyo Tetris 2!

 

 

 

 

 

 

White for this one, as despite a lot of colours on there, the background is predominantly white!

 

 

A good game, though very very similar to Puyo Puyo Tetris, with only a few relatively minor changes and additions.

 

There's a bit more customisation, and the options to create teams of players with different special skills and customisable buffs for the adventure mode, but really, this one is about as direct a sequel as I've seen for a game. If you didn't like the first one, you still won't like this one...

...but if you did like it... well... this is more of it!

Second Update:

 

Done more than 2 more games, but I don't know if I will add those games or other games, so meanwhile, this is my update.

Metro Exodus: Grey. very good shooter, might be the worst Metro game in terms of gameplay, but the best in terms of story.

Connektank: White. This is a strategy, puzzle game... man some of the trophies took way too long for what it was, I really like this game but that last grind and RNG was awful.

Finally one that fits for Red - you wouldn't think that would be a tough colour, but I had an oddly difficult time finding one!

 

 

Another awesome DLC entry for Dead Cells - at this point, the game is in serious contention, along with Hitman and Cities Skylines, for the "Best Supported Game of the Generation" award!

 

I'm not particularly familiar with Castlevania...

...I know, I know, for shame!... but it's one of those series that I've played far more of the games that it influenced than actual entries in the real franchise - and chief among those "Castlevania-influenced" games is probably Dead Cells... so it feels fitting that this is the game finally looping back around, and lending its considerable weight to actually lift up that franchise that inspired it!

 

I'm not sure I think this is quite the best Dead Cells addition - I still think the Queen and the Sea DLC retains that crown, but this one is still a very good entry, and further bolsters the games amazing gameplay with new areas, new enemies, new weapons, and a bunch more awesome fun!

Seems like I actually might do every color after all. Got Outriders for black, it was so generic and unimaginative, with some really dumb design choices. I mean, having tons of unnecessary 3 second cutscenes and even more slow AF fades to black in a fast paced shooter is not a good idea. Also, 2 DLCs, some patches and way points still point you to completely different locations. Wouldn't be a big deal if there was a map that actually showed you which direction you're currently looking or where's north... Dumb stuff like that aside, the game is a moderately entertaining poor man's Gears game with loot. 

 

And for orange, The Suicide of Rachel Foster. One of the best walking sims I've played, with great story, acting and the overall creepy atmosphere. Doesn't overstay its welcome, that's always a plus.

Yeah, just put that out there but orange is not very prominent there. I'll put up an update and show which color I'm replacing when I get the platinum for that game.

I finished this one as well and was excited to use it as Pink for the main game image, since some of the DLCs use that image... But no. This DLC has to be red which I just finished with Dead Nation. Oh well. Congrats! I enjoyed this dlc. Waiting for the wiki map to update so I can finish the guide....

An update... My platinum hunting this year has been slow, but I have many games whose credits I already rolled so many of them are close to the end. Anyways:

 

 

I platinumed It Takes Two and Chicory. Both of these games I got the platinum with my girlfriend (talks about his girlfriend for the nth time on the forums) which I introduced to gaming. We completed both stories this year. She helped me get the remaining trophies/mini games for It Takes Two. As for Chicory, I told her I could do the collectibles that were left post-game but she said she wanted to experience trophy hunting and hunt the collectibles (she felt she was on a mission!) and got me the platinum. Even though she only plays on my PS4 when she visits me, might as well suggest her to create an account so she could try single player games I already finished and platinumed.

Go ahead and let her make an account she can play on. After all, if the two of you eventually take the relationship to the ultimate level(I am talking about marriage, you idiots who have stinky minds ), you are going to be living together so might as well get started letting her share your stuff. Update on my Kaleidoscope!

 

 

Just found out yesterday that The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is disappearing from the PlayStation+ Catalog in several days, so I knew it was time to knock this game out. I was thinking it would be much more similar to Gone Home in terms of story, and it was certainly an interesting game experience. Quick and easy platinum.

 

PowerWash Simulator's platinum was super chill to get. I'm the kind of person who would play Super Mario Sunshine and made sure to clean up all the goop in an area with FLUDD, so I am definitely part of the target audience for this game. It probably took me about 40 hours to get the platinum, and it was a nice game to relax to while watching TV or listening to a podcast. I loved how detailed and elaborate some of the later levels become, as well as variety of tools at your disposal. But it's also for this reason that I would not recommend this platinum to anyone who isn't at least mildly interested in the simulation concept, as they would probably be bored out of their mind.

 

I've earned a few additional plats, but I'm going to aim for card images that don't have a lot of very different colors in them, so I'm not going to include those game cards unless I need to at the end of this year. This also means that FFVII Crisis Core is going to be replaced (with AER: Memories of Old, once I get that platinum - I just don't want that game to be my 70th Plat, lol!).

So I did one more swap to another LEGO game, and while I tried to justify Tan for the icon, there's no denying that the LEGO Ninjago characters all have yellow faces. Fun fact: This got a lot of heat from LEGO because the original LEGO minifigs were all yellow-faced because LEGO wanted a race-neutral color, turns out that yellow skin is a common stereotype of Asian races. So it makes sense to have ninjas have yellow faces. Please note this is what I learned and I am not being racist towards Chinese, Japanese or Asian cultures.

 

So, since everyone had yellow faces, and Lloyd(guy in green) has yellow hair, I sadly had to swap out World of Final Fantasy, even though I do plan on doing it for my spring backlog. I doubt it will make a return since it'll take 40 days to play through Disgaea 4 Complete+ and Ni No Kuni and get another card up and while I do plan on that, I might be bustling WoFF out since I have a save on my PS5 which is the only console going with me to Florida.

 

So that makes the final two that remained be Tan(Ni No Kuni Remastered) and Orange(Disgaea 4 Complete+, which I will start working on in two weeks when the RPG Mania event starts, so I can't earn any trophies in it until April). Still, that's 7/8 of the spectrum done and I already have plans to start a new card once this is done so I can be a Rainbow Elite.

Just completed the Wanderer of the Rift DLC for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin for my red color.  It was fairly difficult.

 

 

Completed Colors:

Tan- Little Hope

Orange - The Medium

Deep Purple- Gone Home

Grey- Skyrim

Green- Oxenfree

Brown- House of Ashes

Red- Wanderer of the Rift DLC: Stranger of Paradise

 

Also any idea what color the next DLC image would be best for?

Gotta say, y'all are killin it! Peeps are already getting their first rainbow and I'm like "HAY GUISE I FINISHED TWO GAMES." Huge props to all my fellow challengers, I need to step my shit up!

 

FINALLY finished Dynasty Warriors 7, which is serving as my Tan entry. I knew it was gonna be a grind, but damn if I didn't vastly underestimate how long it would take! I saw there are players who completed this in less than four days, I'm like did you even sleep??

 

Get all the weapons. Get all the seals on the weapons. Collect all the animals like you're Noah or some shit. Max out a bond with all 62 officers, and make sure you've gotten each and every one of their skills unlocked as well. Oh, and don't forget that there will be a quiz with over 470 questions. GOOD GOD. I'll always have a soft spot for these games, but Dynasty Warriors and completionism do not mix.

 

Finished Enslaved: Odyssey to the West for Green, which I felt was a really good game that should've been great. I liked the leads and their rapport, the visuals are stunning, and it really is a fun game to play. But the story just crash lands into its ending, which creates more questions than answers and feels like it's trying harder to be deep than wrap up a narrative. The combat is DW levels of repetitive, and 1,606 tech orbs, just why. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO PEOPLE.

 

I'm only hard on this game because the potential was through the roof though, I really did have a lot of fun with this one.

 

 

Anyway, that's all from my mouthy ass! Hopefully I'll be able to pick up the pace and not just be updating every month and a half! Keep up the good work everybody?

Congrats on getting the platinum for DW7.  It takes a lot of perseverance.  I finished it back in December.  Holy crap is it a grind.  You also forgot to mention playing the same battle over and over again about 600 times because it is the most efficient way to grind.  That is the one platinum I would recommend people not go for.  It's really not a fun experience.

This is me in a nutshell. 

 

I feel great finishing 1 or 2 games a month and people got a Rainbow in 2 months. Complete savages, I swear.

 

It's probably not going to get better once I start doing some RPGs, but I plan on playing other games and take breaks from grinding so hopefully I can still manage 1 game a month. ? I'll leave it to someone else to get a double rainbow.

I confess to making a lot of swap as I wanted to get two cards done this year. Some of those games I removed might return on Card #2.

WORD!! That loses its charm real quick. And while it's true that I got to listen to a lot of cool new albums and podcasts, that's what you're supposed to do when you're folding laundry ot washing dishes or some shit, not playing video games!
