Popular Post Biscoito18
I just got the plat for The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (the day before it left PS Plus Extra) and the color that stands out the most is the orange of the trees. If by the end of the year I get a platinum that matches the color better, I'll change it. Popular Post diskdocx
Small update Completed Chicken Police. It is probably the most Grey game ever. Really can't recommend it. Story was obviously intended to be over the top cheese, but it really was just rather boring. The guide on here is pretty good, but there are a few errors. The game also glitched on me, with the game spanning trophy for annoying the chief dog not popping. Had to do a full replay to get it. At least it was free on Plus Extra. Still feels like I paid too much... I have started FIST for Brown. Not the best metroidvania, but I'll hold final judgement until I'm done. I also moved Space Elite Force up into the Tan category, I'm planning Stray instead for Orange
Popular Post IntroPhenom
You, sir, crack me up. I'm game. Here are my first two. Alba is a cute little game that has a young girl (Alba) following clues to save both her grandparent's home and the fauna who live there, snapping pictures along the way. I happily played it twice. The trophy list is disappointing, however. Just basic stuff will pop them all; no trophy for photographing every animal on the island, nothing for interacting with townsfolk or making repairs, nothing for stupid, meaningless things like running a certain distance or trying to drown in the ocean. Pretty big bummer, to be honest. Babylon's Fall is the most curiously despised game I've encountered. Read almost any review and find nothing but vitriol, but going all the way to the platinum trophy, I can confidently state that I had a great time. Sure, the aesthetics didn't represent most modern games, but the combat, loot, armor/weapons, story (for what there was), and sense of progression had me loving most every minute of it. The voice acting was good, despite the dialogue being less so. I enjoyed helping out other players and was helped out quite a bit myself. Guess it just didn't catch on. Oh well.

Popular Post KindaSabbath
Update #2 Games complete 7/16 Adding 3 games to my rainbow today! Blue - Gris: A beautiful platformer with a killer soundtrack. I found this game incredibly immersive and I’m always appreciative when a story can be delivered without the use of words. Gris manages to do this effortlessly through excellent colours, music and well paced but progressive gameplay mechanics. Yellow - My Friend Pedro: Totally fucking bananas ?… Im a big shooter guy, my profile doesn’t really reflect it but those of you who know me, definitely know this. However, twin sticks and shoot em up games aren’t really sub genres I’ve messed around in too much over the years. Pedro blew my mind and I can’t help but feel as though this particular title through its sheer unadulterated fun factor - has sparked massive interest for me with this style of gameplay and opened my eyes to a whole bunch of games that I may never of given much consideration beforehand. Slick gameplay, buckets of style and multiple ways to maintain a combo / build a score - Pedro is a blast and the slowdown mechanic is very reminiscent of games such as: Stranglehold and WET, both games which I adored back on the PS3! Red - Streets of Rage 2: I ACTUALLY CAN’T BELIEVE how fucking well this holds up in 2023!! It’s as fun as it ever was! Probably even more so now because I got to play through this gem in co-op with a friend overseas. Couldn’t do that back in the 90’s! SoR 2 is a gem in every sense of the word and it was a pleasure from start to finish. I feel as though it brought me and @YaManSmevz much closer, too, because there were parts where we literally just couldn’t put each other down. For real.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
That should be everyone properly represented in the OP lists so far, Rainbow People! ? Any issues / mistakes / people scurrilously left off, let me know! Also, just wanted to say - hell of a turnout for this event, and it seems to be going great so far! Great to see everyone enjoying! I hadn't expected so many folks to join, and there's way too many for me to give all the rep points I'd like to - I'm pretty much using rep points as markers to show where I had updated to last, to keep the grand-master lists updated.... ...so if I don't give you one, rest assured, it's not for lack of wanting to - it's just down to the limitations of the forum software, and limited RAM available in my mind-grapes! ?

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Game #2 complete! Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Minor spoilers, but nothing egregious, I promise. Spoiler First off, let me start off by saying that I finally understand the mania behind this series. The amount of love and care that the devs have for the world, characters, and spirit of the game with the over the topness and crazy cutscenes is super obvious and really puts a smile to my face. I wish all devs cared about their series half as much as these devs do because they definitely go all out for their games. This game is a turn-based RPG, but there are times where it's a rhythm game, a kart racer, an arcade game, a fighting game, etc. based on what you decided to play. The game gives you everything to explore and everything to play and try out in Japanese culture and seeing this ALL in a single game is super cool. The characters and story for the game started off great, got a little cringy, and then got great again. I thought the idea of Kasuga wanting to become a Hero after getting out of jail was kind of lame and wish he was a bit harsher like Sawashiro. However, I think this is intentionally done as a parody to the old classic games as this is like the basic bitch storyline for a lot of older RPGs and there was clearly much more going on behind the scenes with Arakawa. The story takes a while to really get going with you learning how to be a homeless person and pick up junk off the streets, but once you start getting involved with the other Yakuza groups midway through the game, the story starts to pick up again. However, it was the last few chapters where everything started to come together that I really enjoyed the most so sometimes it's not about how you start, it's more about how you end and I feel like they really nailed it in this regard. The actual turned based gameplay was... ok. Just ok. I've played a lot of turned-based RPGs in my lifetime and this one falls somewhere in the middle. I think the job system was a good start and switching jobs to learn new abilities and perma stat boosts was great, but I wish there was a bit more to it. Maybe if they added more jobs or allowed you to equip a secondary job or each job has like a cool passive ability unique to that class... Something other than just stats and abilities could have really added some needed depth to it. It was also a bit infuriating that a lot of the jobs (out of the little choice you get, especially for the female characters) are locked behind stats that you don't get until mid to late game where you already have a good setup. There's very little incentive to change jobs early in the game because you have very few choices, and your stats are significantly lowered when you do change them. It wasn't all bad though as the attacks themselves for each class were amazing. A lot of them are stupid and ridiculous, but I absolutely loved it. One of my favorite attacks in the game is one where you grab an old telephone (with a cable, yes, there used to be this thing called a "home phone" and it was plugged into a wall) and wielded it like a pair of num-chuks. There's also an attack where Ichiban would sniff a flower and then throws it at someone like a dart or an attack where you throw bird feed on someone and birds attack them. It's stupid shit like this that really kept me entertained in a somewhat mundane combat system. I definitely would recommend this game to Yakuza lovers and all, and I think if you played one of the other Yakuza games and didn't like the beat-em up system, this may be a good change of pace, and luckily you don't have to do everything for this one. Just a lot of level grinding... but compared to some other games on my profile, 10-15 hours of additional grinding was nothing. Popular Post Taruta13
So that's another swap. I stopped putting up pics of the trades because they might kill this thread's bandwidth. That means PicNic the newly renamed Grimmsnarl shiny is going to a Japanese guy in exchange for a regular Rotom. Funny story, this: I downloaded the game to play with my niece, but she was only 4 years old. Instead of following Jirard Dragonrider's advice and letting my dear niece mess around while I played the game, I tried to have her control the Brush, which didn't go great. I deleted that save and started over and HOO BOY, this took me two days because of how hard it was to find all of the collectibles, especially the litter. I ran out of litter very fast and had to scrounge about for more. I learned about the NPCs who tell you where the most collectibles are in an area but the guides I cross-referenced didn't mention that "Brekkie" and "Gulp Swamp" extended out from the spots the guides point out, so I was fuming when I said "I had all these things, and the NPCs are saying I am still missing one!!! AH!" I used invincibility to deal with the bosses, which I did not skip because I feel like they were not too tough. All in all, it's a very nice game and the devs did their best to ensure that your four-year olds didn't see anything scary(they give content warnings). Zodiac Age is going to have to wait a while longer. Don't worry, there will be one more swap but that's because I have to stack a game. The games I am not touching are World of Final Fantasy(that's for Spring Backlog), Disgaea 4+ Complete(because I have a plan in mind) and Ni No Kuni Remastered(because I had platted the original and I want to give this physical copy of the game to future generations). Popular Post RustyBacon13
Finally on the board! The Withess is pretty interesting. I do love puzzle games, though I do wish they wouldn't make me feel like such a dumbass sometimes ? The only trophies I had left on Hitman 2 was the Hokkaido level. I've done all there is to do in 1 and 2 now. Onward to Hitman 3. Will be very sad to come to an end of the series though ?

Popular Post Zanreo
No actual updates this time, but felt like talking about what I'm currently working on for this event! (Though I'm going to a con this weekend so won't get to continue playing until I'm back on Sunday... honestly, feels nice to take a break from my current grind lol) For pink, I'm playing Dusk Diver: Got this cheap during a current sale, thought it looked fun so I decided to try it out! Pretty fun game, even if the fights can get a bit "samey" after a while. Only got S-ranking all levels, collecting all the Dragon Vein Shards and maxing everyone's stats left... but man, some of those boss levels are real hard to even beat on... well, Hard. Overall, I recommend it, just be prepared for replaying levels a bunch of times if you're going for the plat ? And for blue, I'll most likely go for Shantae and the Seven Sirens: Just started it and will likely be focusing on other games first, but I'm liking it so far. I've enjoyed the other Shantae games I've played and been meaning to play this for a while... (Technically, the DLC list image could work for black or purple too, but eh, feels a bit "cheatish" to use a list only consisting of two "beat the game" trophies?) As for the other colors? No specific plans yet, just gotta see what games I feel like playing that happen to match the unfilled colors... though if I feel like challenging myself and it's not TOO much of a pain I may go for Like a Dragon: Ishin (PS4) for yellow? Been really excited to finally play that game! Edited February 23, 2023 by Zanreo

Popular Post D4T-V4UL7_HUN7R_
Ahoy I have arrived with my next update! Apparently I have completed 4 whole entries since last time I checked in >.> oops. Lets take a gander: Human Fall Flat - Forest DLC Wellll, this one is kind of cheesing it because it is only 1 level with 3 trophies, but...I needed something for light green and this was about all I had except for EDF:IA, which is way more grindy than I feel like doing at the moment. Trine 3 Trine 3 is different from the other games in the series because it adds a 3rd dimension to the gameplay. No longer are you stuck scrolling to the sides. You can now venture into the distance to find even more collectibles and fine-tune your depth perception. Overall very enjoyable and visually appealing game Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy Out of all the superhero movies out there these days, Guardians of the Galaxy is about the only one that I try to keep up with. So I had been wanting to play this game for a while. It plays out like super long movie and most of the time you're just hanging out watching cut scenes. The combat was kinda meh as you can only play as 1 character and just give commands to the others. But I had quite a few laughs and didn't mind having to do another playthrough to get all of the collectibles. (collectible trophies are dumb) Riders Republic Oh riders republic..I have a love-hate relationship with this game lol. There aren't many games out there where you have downhill bike racing, ski racing, bmx, wingsuit racing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and even a set of wings with rockets strapped to it all in one game. Most events were really fun and there is a hugeee map to explore and do whatever. There are mass races that start every 30 minutes and you get to races against 32 other players which is awesome. What I didn't like was that you have to always be connected to ubisoft servers to play even the single player events. There were several times where I was kicked to the main menu in the middle of a race >:0 The real grind for me was the 50 free-for-all events you have to do. I spent way too much time just sitting there growing old waiting for the game to gather 12 other poor souls so we could start the event. Next I think I'm going to work on My Friend Pedro..and also Asura's wrath..because I like bananas and angry things.
Popular Post seannyboy913
Small update adding Prototype as my white. I had fun with this game but they put no effort on the PS4 release to where they didn't even fix the glitches(Though I'm thankful as that made the 3 playthroughs a lot quicker). Platinuming all the events again in this game was fun and with it mostly testing different abilities in different scenarios it keeps the grind interesting, the collectibles however, with no fast travel and limited tracking made getting all of those again a bit of a pain @DrBloodmoney I think you missed my sign-up as I don't see my name on the participant list.

Popular Post ayotabez
First update, just finished Until Dawn last night, and it's still one of my favorite horror games ever! I played it when it first came to the monthly PS plus games back in 2017, and I had forgotten some of the story until now. It's under Tan for now until I figure out if I need to move it to another color. It's got me in the mood to now play The Quarry for my next game. I have it under Brown as a placeholder, but I'll probably move it to another color if I need to. I also did Pinball Heroes a while back for Black, but I will probably use something else eventually. I put 428: Shibuya Scramble as color contrast for now and will get to it eventually.
