Popular Post pelagia14
Another update! GREY: Toem I'll admit that I had low expectations going into Toem - primarily because of the monochromatic color palette, when I am someone who *adores* color - and I was pleasantly surprised by the game! Quirky, silly, and a very fun, relaxing experience. BLACK: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales This was an interesting sequel to Peter Parker's entry! I was happy to see that the combat system was a little bit different for Miles' entry, so it didn't feel like you were just replaying the first game but with a new skin on. The narrative didn't feel quite as strong as Peter's entry, but that's bound to happen when Peter's main story was four times as long and filled with a Rogue's gallery! There is Toem, which is the mountain, and it bursts into color, but all in all I enjoyed the game, and the DLC wasn't too hard either, since it was a love letter from the devs thanking us for playing.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
?Adding a new entry, with Cities Skylines Remastered! Making a call between Blue and Light Blue... but since I think my Blue will be Horizon: Forbidden West, this one is a little lighter, so going with Light Blue! A good (if not hugely different feeling) version of the best City Builder out there! Adds a few things like the map editor, and the ability to unlock 25 Tiles and whatnot, though, given that these are non-trophy things, from a trophy point of view, this version is pretty much the same as the PS4 version... but with a couple of the latest DLC like Plazas and Prominades and Financial Districts not there yet. Still feels basically the same as the PS4 version... but since it's an awesome game, that's not really a knock against it... and the fact that it's hundreds of hours of gaming for free - I can't sniff at that! That also gets me into the Rainbow Warrior's category! ? ? ...getting there, slowly but surely! Edited April 8, 2023 by DrBloodmoney
Popular Post Shivora
inFamous Second Son is completed for yellow. A nice and easy platinum even with a second playthrough, there is nothing really frustrating or grindy about it, I had fun throughout, though I probably won't remember much about the story in a month. Now Bloodborne is the platinum with the most achievers that I don't have yet, something that must be remedied.

Popular Post MikkelEhlers
Here's finally an update from me again: The new game on here is Superliminal - I suppose it could go on red, but I strongly feel the pink on the walls and ceiling match the pink so well. I have actually been completing a fair amount of games, but I don't know if I subconsciously just prefer blue games - I feel like so many of the games I play are blue - maybe I prefer a few colours. That's a bit weird. It's also pretty evident in how my list is pretty skewed. Anyway a little on Superliminal: I was extremely positively surprised by this game. I have seen some gameplay and heard some people say it was good, I just saw it and thought "huh, that's pretty cool actually" and never really got around to it. If any of you have the chance to play it - I really recommend it. It's pretty short and in my opinion the puzzles are very intuitive even though the concepts can be pretty mind boggling. Usually when I play puzzle games I start out feeling smart until they become so complex that my mind can't really comprehend it. And then I often turn to a guide instead of maybe playing something else and coming back with a fresh mind. But this game really made me feel smart seemingly the whole way through - I didn't need a guide once, and I think I only got kinda stuck in one room, where the solution was really cool when I eventually discovered it. Sometimes it feels like you can just break the game - and then you find out it's intentional. I don't really know how but this game had a really large impact on me by the end, and almost got goosebumps sometimes by what happened. I never thought I would say that about a puzzle game. I'm just really impressed with this game, and I think this could be my favourite puzzle game - from someone who generally don't really like puzzle games. The trophies were pretty fun - there were the standard collectables trophies which forced you to find all the cool secrets they've hidden away in extremely clever ways. I ended up using a guide for these because some are practically impossible. However I mostly used the guide to find out where I had to look for the secrets I had missed. I could honestly keep praising the game for so many cool things it does, but I think it's best experienced by playing it There is a speed run trophy in the end, which might put some off. Usually it puts me off more than anyone - because I like just taking my time and not missing something because I was slow - but in this context, and because the run is only 45 minutes, I actually really enjoyed it. There are also some challenges for each level, which I suppose was dlc or something but comes with the PS5 edition at least, which I really liked, where much of it prepared you a lot for the speed run segment. The best thing about it is you're allowed to pause. So you don't really have to practice the run the same way you would otherwise, because when you reach a puzzle, you can pause and take a moment to remember, think about the fastest way which also is helped from the challenges because they're about making as few actions and jumps as possible. In challenges you have to be perfect though sometimes there is some smart way you can do it better, and in the speed run it's like doing the challenges as fast as you can, but without punishment for failing them, only some time missed. Honestly I don't think you can not like Superliminal. Probably a big statement and probably false, but I think it's so good, that I'm convinced if you try it you will like it. And I'm convinced because when I saw it I was just thinking okay that's pretty cool but is that all you do? etc. I won't praise it more, just play it.

Popular Post Pray_4_the_End
I've got a few more games to add to the left side of my card. Metro 2033 Redux (White)- Kinda slapping myself for waiting soo long to play this game cause it's a pretty good fps survival horror game. Enjoyed myself with this one and it ended up being right up my alley, I've got the 2nd game on deck and I'll probably end up picking up Exodus too at some point. Dredge- Sneaky good indie fishing game that I happened to find browsing a random "Trophy Thoughts" section here on psnp. Glad I did too cause it ended up taking me by surprise and now it's one of my favorite games I've played this year so far! (If I can't swing this one for Tan just let me know and I'll switch it with Metro for white and I'll throw that into red ?) Life is Strange: True Colors- Strong entry in the LiS series, not my favorite but definitely top 3 for me. Not sure how long they intend to keep this series going but I'm down for more if they keep putting them out.

Ah, I've seen Dredge in a few places (Guardian games review, and NorthernLion has been streaming it). Quite tempted to pick it up, although it's not something that would usually perk my interest. How long is the platinum? RE: Kaleidoscope colours. Obviously, the final word is up to DrBloodMoney, but I think in the OP, it says stuff with a black background (like Metro Redux) is usually only suitable for the 'black' category. But I've seen plenty of other people sneak similar games into 'white', so ?

It's not too long of a plat, I got in around 3ish days of playing a handful of hours at a time. I'd say around 20 hours give or take for the plat time unless you blast through everything with guides in which case you can probably shave a few hours off that. I normally don't play games like Dredge either but I'm glad I gave it a chance cause it slaps. 10 minutes ago, Finch_III said: RE: Kaleidoscope colours. So... technically I think Metro is okay as a white - the "go only on the background" rule is really there only for purely black and white images (or maybe those with some grey in there)... ...but Metro does skirt around that rule by having some non-prominent red, so I can't really insist it applies! I do think the overall "rainbow effect" works better if the two ends (Black and White) are VERY black and VERY white, (so kind of falling on backgrounds by default)... so if you did end up doing a more white one, swapping it out wouldn't be the worst thing... ...but if nothing else comes up naturally, I don't have an issue with using Metro for white as you have it! ?

Popular Post Fenrirfeather
Green and grey incoming, with Melon Journey and the second AI Somnium Files respectively. I'm still not the greatest fan of AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative, compared to how well I liked its absolutely amazing predecessor. nirvanA Initiative feels like a fandisk of Somnium Files and from that angle, I admit that it was neat. At least they did let me go to Atami again, kept the breasts behind the desk commentary, made sure the porn mags had their rightful comeback but at the same time also forcefully and repeatedly drove the point home about tolerating or accepting other people's lives. Let's talk about Melon Journey which only has 16 players registered on PSNP at this moment. So what's Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories? It is a linear narrative driven pixel playable adventure story, entirely in shades of green. (It's also a 100% game. Can you believe they still make those wonderful trophy lists?!) The game looks great, everything is very distinct and easy to make out despite it all being in pixels and the soundtrack, for me, was just in that sweet spot somewhere between "neither boring or blaring" but not all that demanding of attention either. Except for that hamster trying to sing, perhaps. Your playable heroine in a town full of anthropomorphic animal characters is Honeydew. Although you may actually be free to rename her, as well as her awkward co-worker and implied love-interest Cantaloupe - I simply went with the default names because they're over the top hideous, as is the naming scheme of the rest game. As the title so inncocently suggests, melons are this game's bread and butter but they not so innocent. Don't go and get any summer-ly feelings about melon splitting at the beach yet. So if you think that Honeydew who is a fair and proper employee of the Melon factory works for a clean and decent business, you are sorely mistaken. Waking up one morning, Honeydew finds an odd note near her front door and her dear and reliable friend Cantaloupe has not clocked in that morning. With an uneasy feeling, Honeydew wraps up her shift at the office early and decides to make a quick journey over to Hog Town in hopes of easening her worries. Little does she know, she's about to be plunged into a dark (green) tale of crime and near death. Melon Journey comes around looking like child's play and it may very well have turned out to be when I started it and felt an immediate pang of disappointment about its childlike presentation, if it hadn’t been for the undertones that handle themes of political corruption, corporate power abuse, blackmail, gang activity, family troubles, attempted murder and drug abuse that came to light bit by bit. Brought melons to drug yourself up? That's jail time for you. At the same time, if you're young or just going in blind to what's hinted at and what's implied between the lines, the game presents a mostly endearing animal narrative with extremely clean and cute pixel art entirely in pastel green.
