Popular Post Squirlruler
Update time! First, I don't know if I like DC Villains as green. I am on the cusp of liking it there. Will probably remove it though. Dead Nation: Now this one actually fits perfectly for red! I really loved this game. I plan on playing the PS3 and PS4 version, if you want to do co-op, let me know! I have done a bunch of other games but I don't really think the colors fit well for any other slot, which is sad. Oh well. My next vita game should be able to slot into blue or light blue. Need to look at other colors and get some more slots done!

But I'm going to try to stick to my own internal rules and initial goal and TRY to finish my from my sign up date. Gonna def keep this in my back pocket though. Just in case ? Popular Post pelagia14
Kaleidoscope update! RED: Marvel's Spider-Man Fantastic game, as many have vouched for. I wish the PS5 version was free in the PS+ Catalog so I could use the dichromatic image instead, but the PS4 image is still beautifully predominant with the color red. I completed the platinum and all the additional story DLCs in about 45 hours. Currently playing a NG+ to 100% the game. LIGHT BLUE - AER: Memories of Old (replacing Crisis Core) I was expecting this game to be akin to a less-developed Rime in terms of gameplay concept but with a flight mechanic added in. Ultimately, I didn't find the world compelling enough to explore, so I was happy this platinum only took around 2 hours to get. LIGHT GREEN: Donut County A delightfully absurd game and relaxing platinum to get in about 3 hours. In contrast to AER, I would have loved to play more levels in this game and see what other mechanics and amusing 'easter eggs' the developers could have come up with. WDB_Chaotic
Hey I want to sign up to this event but have a couple of questions about it. 1. can I retrospectively include games if they were inside the initial start date 2. How strict are we on the colour, is it the background of the game or is it the logo that some games use this looks so awesome and I can’t wait to participate

Yes, as long as they were earned this year. 2. Depends on what colour is primary in the image. Doc is pretty lenient with what colours you pick but for simplicity go with the first colour that comes to your mind when you look at the image.

Yup, that's all correct @WDB_Chaotic - on colours, there are some guidance rules in the OP... but they can all really be summed up with one general rule: "Don't take the piss" If you really think it's right for the colour, it probably is... ...and if you have to explain why it is, and feel yourself having to justify it with long convolutions... it probably isn't ? Taruta13
Should be able to finalize my first card in April because the last two colors are also on my RPG Mania list so I can't earn any trophies for them until April 1. Though, if I want to finish this card in April, I should swap out Ni No Kuni for Dragon Sinker as that game icon also has a tan background. I might just drop the last two games I had in mind and replace them with Kemco RPGs since I can finish those quickly by buying DLC content. Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
Red now done. Just the hard colours left now in my opinion. South Park was a really fun game with so many jokes but the trophy list and the missables really ruined the experience needing a guide to get everything
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
I don't think the black background rule applies to anything other than white so I'm using Poison Control as game #4 for Maroon! It was a fun, little break from reading House of Fata Morgana. It's essentially a shooter mixed with a cleaning simulator? Idk, it was pretty interesting and different gameplay wise. Story was weird as shit, but I at least got a few good laughs out of it. However, the game does have some major performance issues, especially towards the end of it. There were some crazy frame drops when tons of enemies spawn and when the Mermaid enemy ends up stuck on land after cleaning. The aiming and some of the hit boxes on enemies were absolute garbage and a bit frustrating, but I guess I can't complain too much since I bought it for $4 and it felt like I got more than my money's worth. My plan is to return to Fata Morgana and try to finish the Reqium of Innocence story sooner than later. My goal is to have it read and finished by mid April and start on P3P and Tales of Arise before then. I have some PTO coming up this spring and summer so I'm hoping to use it to enjoy some of these games I keep purchasing and maybe finish a few if I'm lucky.
Popular Post RustyBacon13
2 more down! Black - Days Gone : Challenge mode. I'm really proud of this one. There was only 1 trophy left, gold medals in all challenge and it took me a really long and arduous time getting through. It it wasn't for Borislav247's video guides I don't think I would've done it tbh. Even with guides, you can never do exactly how he does it and still have to tinker a little bit. He makes it look easy! Yellow - Road 96. Really enjoyed my time with this. Interesting story, likable characters and easy gameplay. I did a second play through just for completion sake and with a multiple option story based narrative like this, I was afraid the cracks would show and your choices wouldn't really make any difference in the end (Erica suffered from this, subsequent playthroughs just trashed the story) Quite surprised when I got quite a varied outcome and not that many repeats. Prob wouldn't survive a 3rd go though ?
Popular Post Copanele
Slowly but surely I am completing my list here moving at a snail's pace. For today's Tan color, I have Skullgirls DLC. One time use only! (yes I know it's a bit of a stretch between Tan and Grey...but it works!)
Popular Post Finch_III
I'm going to post my kaleidoscope every few months because I'm lazy. But hopefully nothing controversial below: I've been posting my thoughts on the games themselves in the Bingo Bonanza thread, so won't repeat myself here. Popular Post Fenrirfeather
While the indie pixel game A Space for the Unbound did not make it into my rainbow chart this time, I urge everyone of you who likes the idea of an explorational, story-heavy slice-of-life adventure game to check it out, on the platform of your choice! There are anime pixels, there are cats and an element of the dramatiqué. Following random urgings, my tan game is Cult of the Lamb and it is the kind of lamb that I happily chopped up. With a platinum rarity as high as 30%, I went into it completely blind, hoping for a casual experience to chill. And as engaging as the very beautiful comic style hybrid of simplified rogue-like slow hack and slash combat combined with RPG simulation with light farming, a flock of creatures to care for and a lot of poop was, I had to resort to read up stuff to get my last trophies in order to avoid spending more time on the game which I did not want. To blame, for one, is a rare and unfixed bug that is cross-platform. The bug: the item "Eye of the Witness" cannot be picked up but registers as having been acquired, making the 100% fleeces trophy impossible to achieve on that save. This bug is extremely rare, has been reported to occur on at least three platforms including Switch and the developer is aware. What irked me a little was that multiple guides did not explicitly point out changes in the course of recent updates (such as the Golden Fleece nerf). There's a mind-boggling easy cheese to achieve the no damage trophies for all bosses and it's one of those that have the potential to make you smile devilishly but it's rarely talked about. The trophy hunter cheese: go into the boss dungeon, quit and reload until you get "Hounds of Fate ##" (it looks like this). Then proceed through the dungeon to the boss and mash the button to unload your homing ballistics. On the later and faster two bosses, you may want to remap evade/roll to L/R1 (if you haven't already) in order to evade any attacks within the few seconds that the battle manages to last. Edit: you must wear the green fleece, Fleece of the Glass Cannon! Cult of the Sautéed Lamb Chop is gorgeous to look at and cleaning up after your hideously fiendish flock is a chill affair. (Except when they get sick and you’re tasked to mop up after them. That's just annoying.) To this date, this game receives frequent updates that weed out the certainly not few technical issue that plague(d) it but that also bring minor changes to the balancing and smol to big new features even almost a whole year after the game's initial release. Including future DLC. Possibly with trophies. Guess I'll be chopping some more lamb soon or rather, make the lamb do some more chopping. With my first Life of Strange game played at long last, and now that I have joined the LiS club, Life is Strange: True Colors is going to be my light purple. It was unexpectedly great, the game provides a fantastic and mostly well-rounded experience imo. Not sure I try the other LiS games. I hear bad things about 2 so I do kind of want to check it out... I'm working on AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative for the next entry for this event but it's going slow. Not to say it is bad at all; I'm barely half way into it but so far I heavily prefer the first game. It had the hilarious in-your-face lewdness of Date going for it. Popular Post zizimonster
Purple: Life is Strange: True Colors Despite having an engaging story, True Colors is not as good as the original Life is Strange. Your in-game choices don't really matter here, and Alex Chen's superpower is tame compared to Max Caulfield's. For story-based games, you'd better stick to Supermassive Games and Quantic Dream.
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
I forgot to update my black game Got the platinum for Remant from the Ashes a few weeks ago. Still working on the grindy DLC trophy, but that's going to be a few more weeks. Honestly, without the survival mode DLC Remnant would be the worst soulslike I've played so far, at least for me personally. The two friends of mine I've played with enjoyed every minute of it. Each their own I guess. From all the bosses in the game, I think 95% of them are crap. And for me, that's the biggest feature a soulslike game needs to get right, because that's where I have the most fun, learning bosses. Some of them are just unfair imo, like that weird ice wizard in the DLC. Of course, survival mode is all about fighting bosses, but it's fun testing out all the different gear you can't really use with your main character. Also working on Guardians of the galaxy, but that's another one of those games. I know I don't like super heroes, but I try to give the game a chance. Spider-Man was great, and Arkham Knight wasn't too bad either, but Guardians of the galaxy sucks big time. It's just cringe everywhere I go. I think I will play Cyberpunk or GTA San Andreas next, something I know I can enjoy.

Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
12th game done now with ofc Guardians of the Galaxy for Maroon. The gameplay wasn't so good and combat was repetitive but the dialog was so good that it carried the whole game. just happy to have finished it when no chapter select made it more painful than it needed to be

Taruta13
Probably gonna cop out on the last two spaces as well and go for EZPZs since I use those to fill out the numbers that aren't a multiple of 5 so I can finish this card this week and get started on my second. Will start hunting some easys with tan or orange background. EDIT: I am doing it. Swapping out Disgaea 4 Complete+ for Virtuous Western and Ni No Kuni Remastered for Gravity Duck(there is a lot of sand in the picture so it could go for tan). Will post the final card as soon as I can unless anyone wants me to swap Gravity Duck to Orange and Virtuous Western to Tan. I promise to put some of the swapped games back for the second rainbow card. Edited April 3, 2023 by Taruta13
Popular Post rjkclarke
Oh dear..... That left side is looking naked again..... I said I'd stop mentioning that.... Why did I think not posting for a few weeks makes it fine to mention that Anyway, I am back with a Green addition, in the form of Silence, which was a pretty interesting game...... and the thumbnail is actually much greener than it looks in the chart there.... It's about as dark a green as you can get, so I guess finding a light green won't be much of a problem now If you want to read some spiel I wrote about it in a status update, I'll throw it in some quote bubbles below.... It's definitely an interesting game, and I'd play another game set in that universe.... plus I'd quite like to see a console release of The Whispered World... it's predecessor. Quote If you're a little bit of a point-and-click adventure game fan like I am (Well I'm a humongous one actually, to tell you the truth) then you might be interested to know that Silence is actually a sequel to a fairly small-scale title called The Whispered World, which is also pretty interesting. Ahh..... Silence, what an interesting little game you are, but one I don't know that I'd rush to recommend to people, purely because there's just so many better games available to play, That's not to say Silence isn't worth playing though, just play other games first - this is a game I'm actually quite excited to dive into a review of in a lot of detail in my checklist thread. As, through the games art design, it's got such an incredible amount of depth to it. It really compliments the story beats well, and makes more sense the more you stop and think about it. Silence does have some real charm to it though, it's just one of those games where you can tell the writer wanted it to be more fleshed out than it actually is, as the lore and world building are very rich, despite the relative shortness of the story. I did however have a little bit of a nightmare with the trophy hunting side of the game - which is not a criticism of the game at all. It's more of a warning, that the trophies can be more than a little finicky. I don't actually think a games trophies have any sort of bearing on the quality of the game.... The trophies in this game just are a little buggy.... Which is an irony that was unfortunately lost on the developers when they put in a trophy called "Quite a Buggy Game" Yeah..... no kidding Anyway.... Nice to have managed to fill in one more slot..... Minds out of the gutter ? See you all in the next one
Popular Post candicejean
Added a few more things, mostly from PS+ - Gabbuchi, pretty cute little puzzle game. Sea of Solitude had a nice story. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter I wasn't that crazy about, I usually like walking simulators but that one didn't do anything for me. Untitled Goose Game is great fun and a must play for everyone. Lost in Random I enjoyed the story but I got tired of the combat pretty quickly and had to do 2 playthroughs thanks to one missed collectible. Biomutant was pretty meh, the boss fights were kinda fun but everything else was so repetitive and tedious. The outposts and different tribes were all basically copypasted. I enjoyed Pinball Heroes a lot, just some mindless fun to do in between longer games.
