Again an increase of my %, currently at 89.21%.

 

- Don't start new games ❌ --- started Returnal (after the Tiny Tina's Wonderlands platinum) together with a friend. Currently at 28%

- Platinum Crysis 3 ✅ --- Platinum #118 on my profile. Trilogy completed!

- Progress in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands ✅ --- Platinum #119. After Returnal we're gonna start with the DLC

- Progress in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 ✅ --- cleared some missions (35% --> 50%). Still need to do alot!

- Progress in A Plague Tale: Requiem ✅ --- Finished playthrough 1. Currently in NG+ for the last few trophies (6% --> 89%)

- Unearned trophies under 700 ✅ --- Despite starting a new game (Returnal) I completed this goal, 692 trophies unearned

Update 3.

 

Started @ 66.07% now @ 69.47% - Goal 75%

Week 1 > 0.47% increase 

Week 2 > 1.57% increase - Platinum's = 1

Week 3 > 1.37% increase - Platinum's = 2

 

Games played this week:

 

Lego City Undercover - 60% > 100%. Finished the collectibles grind for the plat.

 

Cyber Engine - 0% > 100%. I needed a game with some purple on the thumbnail for another challenge I'm in. Though this was going to be a puzzle type game but ended up being a shameful platinum.

 

The Witcher Wild Hunt - 61% > 61%. Running around for them Gwent cards.

 

The Hunter - Call of the Wild - 3% > 17% Bit the bullet and deleted my 200 logged hour save in order to unlock the trophies which were glitched. 18 trophies unlocked in about 3 hours. I can finally work towards the platinum.

 

Back log games i'm looking to improve upon or complete:

Thief - 28% (not played in years)

Mad Max - 23% (Unobtainable platinum due to server shutdown but easy trophy list for a 98% completion)

Marvel's spider man - 97% (New game plus and ultimate difficulty)

 

This week I'll be continuing the grind on the hunter and the Witcher while also completing a few easy games I have in my library (Omno and Brother's) which are included with PSplus.

The Messenger (18% - 100%)

First half was awesome. Very fun action plat former. But the second half were it becomes a metroidvania really kills the pace since you end up just sort of aimlessly looking for mandatory collectables with very few new bosses or power ups of note. Wish it just stuck to its guns and did not try to mix it up. DLC was okay, mostly just more of the action platforming but harder and more annoying.

 

Dragon Sinker (7% - 100%)

Very generic RPG about an evil dragon and the elves, dwarves and humans needing to unite to defeat it and save the world. Literally just turned my brain off and mashed my way through on the easiest difficulty. It's one less physical Vita game in my to do list though. Slowly working my way through them all.

 

SoulCalibur VI (50% - 100%)

Second backlogged game done! I remember why I shelved this two years ago. The single player is just such a long slog. It has not one but two different single player campaigns. The first has a man story and then twenty side stories. Almost all of which contain 4-6 fights with tons of cutscenes that I had to skip through because they were so boring. The second campaign is sort of like Soulcalibur 2's campaign, except worse in every way with tons of superfluous fluff. It also had some of the most unbalanced fights I have ever scene in a fighting game with effects like enemies always having a special meter, being able to auto react in 1 frame, my health constantly decreasing over time, etc. It's a shame the single player was no fun to me cause the actual mechanics during a fair fight are fun. This also marks me completing every unique SoulCalibur game:

 

 

So that's pretty cool. I would love to do the Japanese stack of SoulCalibur 2 but since its delisted that is likely never going to happen.

Hi guys, so this week boosts worked quite well for overwatch 2 and I was able to complete it, just missing the plat now, also played a lot of crisis core which should be done quite soon too

 

Completed this week:

Overwatch: Origins Edition - PS4 - Back at 100% after I finally got Ramattra and was able to grab his trophies quite fast in quickplay, this game is not going to the completed list cause it was already added last year 

 

Progress this week:

Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion - PS5 - 47% - Went ahead and moved the story quite a bit, currently at chapter 8 and stuck at some bombs you gotta kill fast enough, gave it a break to do some missions which I'm almost at 30% done, so far it is going well

Overwatch 2 - PS5 - 96% - W Almost done, was able to do everything with boosts this week which was quite a nice surprise and I'm only missing lv 50 trophy and the currently bugged friends trophy which I'll try the workaround when I get the lvl50 one

Lego DC Super-Villains (40% -> 40%):

Finihsed up a few more over-world sections. Ugh. So much grind. I've only got 30 hours into the game, but it feels like 100 lol. Hopefully will finish sometime next month.

 

Monster Monpiece • JP (0% -> 100%):

I did find someone to boost so I was able to absolutely smash this game. I really enjoyed it again. It's a card battler, 3x7 grid, summon girl monsters, send them to attack the enemy base.

I am pretty pleased with myself. There is one fight you are suppose to lose against Clairdia, and I absolutely smashed it. Didn't lose one health, felt so good hahahaha.

I am still going to be playing it since there are rare cards I am missing. If you want to play the JP version and need a boosting partner, let me know and I will boost with you. You can get rare cards from online only packs and i am ready to be disappointed and open the packs and not get any cards I need XD.

 

I found my disk for Lollipop Chainsaw!!! Once the above mentioned Lego game is finished, I will be playing that Very excited. Also starting Senran Kagura Bon Appetit for the vita. Side note, does anyone know if the JP Physical version comes with the DLC Character pack for the trophies? That might be the only thing preventing me from getting that...

Week 4 Update

Been a mixed bag of gaming this week!

 

Popped the platinum on God of War Ragnarök, loved the game and it's made me eager to revisit the old PS3 titles to get the full set of GOW plats - so I'll be doing that later this year for sure!

 

Spent the weekend playing some Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City with @rjkclarke, it is as bad as people say it is, and definitely avoid adding it to your list ?. But we have more than half the trophies now at least so that's something, this nightmare is half over ?. Let's do this!

 

Also started up GTA IV and did a couple of misc trophies and made a start on the multiplayer trophies. My old save file from 7 years ago is sitting at 92.83% completion so that was a pleasant surprise, but of course 17 year old me decided to leave the pigeons, stunt jumps and friend activities for the completion. But I'm looking forward to replaying the game with the speedrun trophy which I think I'll leave until last.

 

Mostly played Saints Row 3 and I'm making some good progress there. Enjoying it a lot more now I have more upgrades. It's definitely going to be a game where most of the trophies pop near the end as most of the districts are near 100% completion. 

 

Finally, I decided to boot up Crash Bandicoot: Warped and got a few of the gold relics and gems. I do like the gimmicky levels as well, so it's nice to go back to this one again. Seems a lot easier than the first 2 games though. Getting this one done so I can start Crash 4 this year which no doubt will be a challenge, but I'm looking forward to that ?.

Messed around with some PS3 games this week, and ended up adding Mahjong Tales to my trophy list by accident. I've had it forever, but didn't realize I never got any trophies for it before. So that was a surprise. At least it was easy to self-boost the online trophies so I got those out of the way. Gave Malicious another shot and sorta, kinda got it so I added it and Mahjong Tales to my list for the next backlog challenge. I also re-downloaded Ultra SF4, but my old save is long gone. I had half of the roster up to rank C for the "C to Shining C" trophy and I don't think I have it in me to try and self-boost those all again, or start over on all the trials. Finished the new Stranger of Paradise DLC and should have decent enough gear to finally tackle the Rift without Extra Mode and get the last couple trophies for 100%. Also finished up the platinum trophy for Valkyrie Elysium and will start on the add-on trophies this week.

This week I obtained a couple trophies in Dysmantle while meandering, but spent most of the time working on Back 4 Blood. In the latter, I earned some easy trophies from the DLC and completed my first Nightmare run for Act 1. Thankfully the finales haven’t been nearly as difficult as I imagined; it’s definitely easier playing solo than in a group.

Luckily, I only encountered a few minor glitches in Ether One this time rather than anything game-breaking (well, if you can call one of the puzzles straight up not working "minor"... thankfully it was skippable by using a guide to find the right answer). It's a shame, because it's an interesting game, but I'd be hesitant to recommend it to anyone with the amount of glitches it has.

 

Will be continuing with Fist of the North Star this week, so I doubt I'll be making too much progress with my completion percentage!

Actually, it's console-related: The PS5 version will be the one dropping this February. The PS4 and X-BOX versions will release in April 9, and the PC version drops in July. I think it's because the lesser consoles need more work and beta to ensure that bugs are mitigated. I'll be getting my in Feb since I need more PS5 exclusives.

Yeah, I know it sucks for people who don't have a PS5. (I didn't get a PS5 day one and eventually had to pay a 150% markup and $850 to get one delivered.) But there are probably important reasons why they had to do a split release date(the PS4 is 20% inferior to the PS5 so they have to downgrade performance for it to run properly, that's what I am guessing.)

Pretty happy with how the first month went, I don't think my account has been at 80% ever since I popped the first trophy over 14 years ago now lol. Most of my progress was in the first half of the month as the last couple weeks I've been working through the PS4 version of Catherine and ended up enjoying it enough that I bought a PS3 copy which I started yesterday otherwise I would have finished the month around 80.45%.

 

My aim for February is to finish my first list for the Platinum Difficulty Challenge which I still need to do the 7, 8, 9 and 10 for so how much I struggle on those will decide my progress for the month

Off to a great start  

I started 3 new games and didn't play anything else

 

Evil Genius 2 - got 100% after almost 150 hours. Greatly enjoyed it, it has some issues but it was a perfect game to play during long meetings I, unfortunately, had to attend in January (approx 20+ hours a week). And it's actually an ultra-rare plat. Took me probably longer because I didn't use any guides and was taking extra time to do even missions that weren't required for the trophies.

 

Back 4 Blood - I'm a fan of these mindless zombie shooters, World War Z, L4D, Killing Floor, etc. Was excited when it was announced as a title for PS Plus Extra. Sadly, it's not that good. I can't change FoV, the aim no matter how I try to set it up always feels off, the maps are basically small corridors so the friendly fire on higher difficulty is not that easy avoid. I can imagine it might be a bit better in the local coop but with randoms or bots it's far from the previously mentioned titles when it comes to enjoyment. I might try to get a few easier trophies but no desire to go for Plat or bother buying DLCs

 

Smite - I have no idea what made me start this one. I probably miss LoL/Dota/HotS toxicity and wanted to experience it on PS. There are many bugged trophies so 100% is not even possible. It's not terrible but as usual with mobas, often the matches are extremely unbalanced: one team dominates the other, afkers, bots (have to play with PC players, PS player base is dead).

 

Two new games I won't be getting 100% which is going to negatively impact my completion ratio but hey, I played games I enjoyed and that's what matters. And my Rarity ratio dropped by 0.43% to 39.37%

 

Plans for February - will keep playing Smite but don't expect to get any trophies, maybe one or two. I'm debating whether to start Metro Exodus but there's still no date when exactly it's leaving Extra and I'm not a big fan to be pressured to play games with a deadline.
