I wanted to add to the discussion with my experience with the jet motor racer trophy. For a while, it was not popping for me, even though I had for sure gone past AT LEAST 15 races. A comment on YouTube said that theirs didn't pop until they set the settings to three laps and Intermediate difficulty (Or whatever the difficulty above easy is).

 

I did the same, and sure enough one race down, and the 15 races trophy popped. Another 15, and the 30 races trophy pops. So there may be something to that.

Was Parappa the Rapper 2 always impossible to play? Even on ps2? Really a bummer cuz it looked  interesting but it's unplayable and totally off beat.

Coded Soul PS5 had a frame rate problem, and stuttered heavily throughout my playthrough. PS4 version has been smooth so far.

 

I downloaded the game from my Hong Kong account, and played exclusively on my Australian account; which is mcaussiekids

Is anyone else having issues with Kurushi Final?

I can't get the game to start Survival mode, I only get a black screen after confirming. Tried different parameters or characters, but always the same result. It sometimes even crashes the game.

 

I'm playing the PS5 NA version 1.000.002.

 

EDIT: Changing the console language to English solved the issue, so it's apparently a language/region issue?

What language was your console set to when it was crashing? When playing PAL games (which Kurushi Final is even in NA) it will automatically load the original localised version of the game depending on your system language - if one exists for your language (usually English, French, German, Italian, Spanish). Otherwise it defaults to English I believe.

Latin American Spanish, so yes, I was getting the Spanish version of the game.

@jefXfreeThis is a bit of a long shot request but I'd appreciate if you could pass it along.

 

Playing some Ridge Racer Type 4 and I'm reminded that this release doesn't support d-pad steering input.

 

In the original game when you used a Dual Shock controller (like this release does), you had to press the "analog" button on the controller to be able to use d-pad steering.

 

It would be nice if the ability to press this button could be added to the emulator menu, or - similar to how it was implemented in the PS3 and PS Vita PS1 emulators - a menu option to toggle the controller between digital mode and analog mode. I think technically the first option would be better, as being able to press the analog button would allow you to use d-pad for steering input while retaining the dual shock vibration support; whereas forcing the controller to digital mode may mean you lose vibration support.

Resident Evil: Director's Cut (EU) has no option to switch regions to the NTSC version. Could you please pass that along?

This was happening to me when I played the PS4 version on a PS5. My console language was already in English, so I'm not sure that just having your game in the english language will work. My workaround was just to play it on a PS4 console instead, which stopped the crashing in survival mode.

Hi, am writing to inform that i had trouble unlocking the 30 wins trophy on jet rider ps4 version, i had to do 30 races 3 times 1st time i had a break inbetween races, 2nd time in 1 sitting done extra races aswel but no trophy, then few days later i done another 1 sitting then it unlocked. As I said on another thread, I purchased Twisted Metal on the VITA's built-in store, and it didn't give me a PS4/PS5 upgrade.

 

Even worse, it made me unable to add the PS4/PS5 version of the game to the cart, either via PS4, PS5, PS App or the website, returning an error.

 

I had to open a live chat with Sony's support, which refunded me for the game.

 

The person said that they were looking for an definitive list of games eligible to upgrade from the old store to the new store, which they never gave me.

 

I could test with Twisted Metal 2, however the game's page has no "Purchase" button or even a price. This bug is very old.

 

Is there a "definitive" list (for each region), in this sense, or just trial and error?

 

By the way, Ape Escape 2 and The Warriors are still a mess when running on the PS5.

Please consider adding the "Enable Right Stick Remap" option to Thrillville and Thrillville: Off the Rails. Both games have first-person shooter minigames that by default use x/circle/triangle/square to move the camera.

Hi @jefXfree - some feedback for todays new games. Testing from PS5 versions downloaded on the UK store. 🙃

 

• Dual shock vibration support seems to be missing from both Star Wars Episode 1 and Rally Cross. Analog input is working, but vibration is not (and both games did support it).
  Edit:- playing Episode 1 again and it does seem to have vibration now... odd I'm sure it didn't earlier!
• Episode 1 specifically seems to have very sensitive analog input. When the stick is in a neutral position, and you move left or right then it's OK. But if you're pushing the stick fully forward (ie. running full speed in the game) and move either left or right then the movement is then extremely sensitive and hard to control (original game was not like this).
• The free upgrade from the PS3 version of Rally Cross on the European stores seems to be missing. Additionally the German store does not seem to be able to download the game via Premium (download on the UK store worked OK).

 

Additionally incorrect analog configuration still affects some other games:

Disney•Pixar Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! - analog not working; vibration is working

STAR WARS Demolition - analog is working; vibration is not working

 

Lastly; the PAL frame blending toggle option that started to appear in releases last year around October has been missing from all of the recent 3rd party game releases. Can these have their emulator version updated to include the option? (all of the 1st party releases since October have included it).

Maybe wait a bit longer, I had the same issue (although I got it from PS+ 11 years ago), and after a while, it now showed up as free to purchase on the phone app.
