Will be submitting for pink, the number 2 is pretty pink looking. Just to get ahead of any shit I would normally get, no I didn't plan on finishing this game for the event 3 months in advance. I know I earned almost all trophies in July, I stopped because of personal problems and a lack of motivation to hunt trophies. It's been a really hard year between financial struggles and losing several family members including my grandmother (who had metastatic cancer at the time of her death in June). Just couldn't be focused on videogames the past few months but this event was a great opportunity to finally jump back into trophy hunting, finish my 14th ultra rare platinum, and most importantly, be a tiny positive in the fight against cancer. Seemingly every time I've played this game, it's been updated to make it easier, when I played the PS5 original in 2022 Feb, I needed my brother to assist me in coop mode finish the final boss. And on this third playthrough I beat the boss on my first run. If I played it three times it must be good right?... Well it's free. In fact, until today I thought this game was a scam to try and get people's personal email addresses. But I now know that this is a PETA game, the controversial animal rights charity, and the PETA website is pretending that the game was released 2 weeks ago rather than nearly 2 years that it was actually released. You know what I wanna talk more about the meta-context of this game, because everything about the game itself is bad and boring. This game was made by the same guy who made "Light in the Darkness" the story of Jewish people living in wartime Germany, it was quite informative but wasn't a good game itself; "Kitten Squad" another PETA game that probably doesn't teach me why veganism is great; and will instead give a cat a gun, and... Oh my... Oh no... They made a Holocaust memorial museum in Fortnite. I can think of several reasons to not to release this in Fortnite of all places Now I've just gone through Bunny Raiders memes on Instagram, and I can't believe that they exist. I will count Rugby 20 as I think the lights do produce an orange haze across the field when I look at it, but I'm going to say no on the second one. So I'd better throw in my first completion for the event with Unpacking I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a whole lot of this game over the next two months in this thread, which is no bad thing! Plus, so long as it's helping to give cancer a swift kicking off a cliff onto a pit of spikes, on top of being an awesome little experience? Where is the downside, I can't see one. I really want to try my best for this event. Unfortunately I recently played around 15 games with Orange/Pink in the game banner and now I’m struggling to find some more I’m interested in. Finished my first game for this event: A second play of a great game! I finished up the PS4 version earlier this year, and for the life of me couldn't understand why I put it down for so long, because it's great! I has so much fun, that I paid the small upgrade fee to get the PS5 version within minutes of popping that PS4 plat - and got around to playing it just now! It's definitely the version to play- it's mostly the same, but the rather long load times of the PS4 version are all but completely gone, the 2 excellent DLCs are included, and moreover, the level cap is raised from 36 to an absurd 99... which is only a good thing, as it stops the game reaching the "max-level-fatigue" that happens when you can no longer upgrade! Could probably work for Pink or Orange, but I'll slot it for Pink, since I have an absolute glut of Orange ones coming shortly! ...speaking of which: I assume all these: ...can count as 5 separate entries, since they each have their own lists? Popular Post Breakingthegreen Posted October 7, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted October 7, 2023 (edited) I'll be honest, I didn't expect to complete this game so quick, it's the the pink anti-murder 'em up: Killer Frequency. I think this is one of my biggest surprises of the year. I didn't really know about this game before it's release, but after hearing about the game from the short the PS store update videos that PS Access do, I knew that it was the kind of game I'd like. The setup is this: all 911 calls are getting funnelled through a local radio station and it's your job to save the lives of the callers who are being pursued by the long dead Whistling Man. This is done with Escape room style puzzles which are conveniently located around the radio station. Follow the clues and you'll be able to intuit how to save these people. It's worth saving these people for two reasons: One, it's the nice thing to do. And Two, every character saved gives you a more complete overview of the story that happened to kick off this game. The puzzles have a lot more clues than I realised on my first playthrough, often when I failed, it's because I was stuck between two options and I chose to wing it. And Sod's law showed the sense of luck that I have. But the true highlight is the voice acting, Forrest and Peggy form a "Firewatch" style bond that felt incredibly real. Forrest never loses the Radio Host persona, even as he becomes a 911 phone operator and it helps to keep the tone light, even as you listen to 10 teenagers get brutally murdered. Peggy is also constantly empathetic and light hearted. If you watch her silhouette as you save someone, you can see her make a little cheer which I think is just so endearing.
