Popular Post stuthesheep
So my plans to update the card on a regular basis seem to have fallen by the wayside slightly, so this is going to be a fairly hefty update. In date order *deep breath* First off is O1 and Player Operated Vehicles with FAR: Changing Tides, a story about a boy and his boat in a post apocalyptic wasteland. Fun little game with a not particularly fun speedrun trophy. Next is my Anthropomorpised Animals square. Now I reckon if you asked 100 people in the street to name a game that fits that square (particularly those of a certain age) most of them would say Sonic the Hedgehog (although personally I'm still patiently waiting for the long-overdue remaster of Nobby the Aardvark for a Pointless answer). Hence, B2 is marked off with Sonic Forces. I clearly lack both the skills and patience needed to nail the speedrun requirements for the plat, but the rather lightweight story is done. Followed up that with a bit of sci-fi, marking off O3 with Scars Above. Fun, if slightly formulaic, sci-fi shooter where a scientist is transported to a strange alien planet with some very cool aliens and boss battles. Great fun. Back to Earth next to mark off G5 with the PS4 exclusive Concrete Genie, which was undoubtedly very pretty and fun to play, but wasn't around for long enough to make much more of an impression than that. Fortunately my PSN name starts with quite a common letter, so N2 is a nice easy one to mark off. With an eye on another square I decided to go for South Park: The Stick of Truth. The main reason for that is I joined this site in 2017 and I've already played most of the major 2017 releases that appealed to me already, with the exception of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, story done there and just a small clean-up operation needed to mark off O2. Spoiler N1 (Retro) - Secret of Mana 8/2 O1 (Player Operated Vehicles) - FAR: Changing Tides 14/2 B2 (Anthropomorphised Animals) - Sonic Forces 28/2 I2 (Historical) - A Plague Tale: Requiem 23/1 N2 (Same Letter) - South Park: The Stick of Truth 12/3 O2 (PSN Year) - South Park: The Fractured But Whole (2017) 19/3 B3 (One Sitting) - Lake 27/1 G3 (New Series) - A Plague Tale: Innocence 15/1 O3 (Sci-Fi) - Scars Above 5/3 I4 (Recommended) - Omno 4/1 I5 (No Humans) - Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion 25/1 G5 (Exclusive) - Concrete Genie 7/3

Popular Post Yen-Pop
Another little update with B1 Crafting Mechanic with Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh DLC. It's a pretty basic mechanic, but especially with the addition of creating outfits for people there is a small element. I thought about using it for Romance Options since you can marry cult members, but that felt like a stretch, or I really wanted to use it for Banned or Censored but I couldn't find any information about it being banned or anything be changed for release anywhere shockingly enough. But! It's another box marked off nonetheless! Updating my card with: - Tomb Raider II for O-3 Retro Re-Release (originally w/o trophies): This was one of my favorites among the original PS1 Tomb Raiders when I was a kid. I still remember the day when I finally managed to put in the cheat to skip levels. It was the day before our trip to the beach and although I enjoyed every moment of it, in the back of my mind, I couldn't wait to get back home and explore all the levels of TR2 that I never managed to get through normally. TR2 was so difficult for me at that time that I didn't care about completing the levels, I just played around. This was the first time I actually finished this game and it was so good! The challenges that previously kept me from completing the game are now the spark that keeps me playing it. They really don't make games like this anymore; - Tomb Raider III for O-5 Ultra Rare Platinum: TR3 is the first PS1 game I played (not counting the PS1 demo CD) and my first contact with Lara Croft and this gaming world that I love so much to this day. Unfortunately, the copy I played was rented, so I eventually had to return it. It was during the 90s in Brazil and I depended on the only store that sold games in my city, and for some reason, over the years, I managed to get the other four PS1 TRs except this one. So now, being able to play this game from start to finish is like finally fulfilling a childhood wish. Currently with less than 1% of total players who have achieved platinum; Edited March 28 by Biscoito18
Popular Post zaxonzaxon
Check-up time: Frightening/Horror: The Forest -- Creepy cannibals, dark caves full of dead babies, terrifying mutant flesh beasts, and the most frightening of all... buggy trophies. Award Winning: Rollerdrome (BAFTA for Best British Game) -- "Hype!" would have also been a good box here if I had it on my card, but Award Winning works well since this game is absolutely fantastic. Really wonderful blend of old school (challenging) and new school (streamlined and accessible) gameplay with a terrific dystopian 1980s aesthetic. Archive: Spoiler B3: Contains Holiday Themes -- Yakuza Kiwami (Christmas Trees and Christmas Music) C3: DLC Pack or Standalone DLC -- Steep Xtreme Pack O1: That "Everyone" But You Has Played -- Final Fantasy 7 Remake N5: Retro Re-release -- Quake II (25th Anniversary remaster) G1: Banned/Censored -- Wolfenstein 3D (Banned in Germany due to Nazi imagery)

Popular Post Baker
Game #13 done: Aliens or Robots Ghostrunner 2 I will ask straightaway if this can be used for One Word Title as I will be swapping it over to that tile then. I have a hard time finding games for that one. As it’s spelled ‘GhosTTrunner’ Anyway. Fun game. A bit easier than the first one. It still has some good platforming and combat sections, where you and every enemy, except bosses, die in one hit. It also introduces motorbike racing segments which were also good. Apart from one open world level where I drove around for hours figuring out where to go. Open world does not work in this game. Onto the next one.

Well, I didn't know that. I've been using the platinums to measure my worth. If I had known I just had to complete the story of a game, this makes the card much easier. Speaking of which... I2: In-game weather effects: Dragon Quest Builders 2 I just got the platinum for Dragon Quest Builders 2, but had I known that the requirements were story completion only, I could have put the update up last night while waiting for my cats to grow up to get the Rare Breeder Trophy as I was done with the story days ago. The reason it's on that slot is because you can explore islands called Explorer's Shores which have various weather conditions, like rain or snow. The main story islands also have various weathers - Furrowfield tends to have rainstorms now and then, and one part of Moonbrooke has periodic blizzards! Now that I know the rules and don't need a platinum for a game to win this challenge, I think I can find some good titles that could fit the other slots. Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Copying the text over from the kaleidoscope challenge Quote Completed my tan color / released in your birth month square and finally a game I can use in two challenges at once. Released 10 days after my birthday during the month of october, A Plague Tale Requiem is the sequel to one of the greatest story games of the PS4 era imo, A Plague Tale Innocence. There's gonna be some story spoilers later, I'll put them all in a tag, you'be been warned But first, the game looks stunning, like 9 / 10 for the visuals and how it feels, especially the chapters that are played on the island, yes I had a collectible guide and yes I made sure to get them first in each exploration area, but after that, wow. The visuals about the plague looked distusting, whenever I felt save during the story, the game looked beautiful, but the soundtrack always gave me some insecurity that something bad is going to happen soon, loved it. The gameplay is more or less the same, although I think the three different skills are a bit much and it took me a while to get myself to actually do NG+ and unlock the rest. It's a fantastic game to experience for the story, but completing it takes the magic away, at least for me. I think just having the stealth and opportunist skills and getting rid of aggressive would have been better, it just felt wrong mowing down the soldiers in my NG+ run, that's not what Amicia would do imo. Spoiler But now for the story spoilers... Another part why it took me a while to finish NG+ is the last few chapters. Sometimes I played not even 20 minutes before turning the game off again and do something different. Amicia didn't deserve that. It's one of those games you don't want to finish, I want it to end when you reach the island Hugo dreamed off, find a cure and just be happy. But going from having hope that the order thingy might have a cure in that sanctuary to learning that they just used the carrier as test subject, having your mother killed and in the end having to kill your brother. That's just cruel and it really hit me hard. I had a feeling that the order wasn't what you think it is when the Magister you meet during the beginning is rude and insulting. Hugo is a huge part why I like the games so much, he see's the world as a child, breaking up the suspence with his simplicity and rather dump things to do / say in situations. Afterwards I looked up if you can somehow spare Hugo, but no, if you don't kill him, Lucas will. So I'm kinda glad that I choose the "better" ending where Amicia and Lucas stay friends, because if he does it, Amicia also hates him. It's interesting to see where they take the IP from here, they teased a new carrier of the macula in the end with Amicia going out to try and help him. Me personally I had hoped for a cure and the end of the plague in this game and maybe a third game where Amicia and Hugo go back to their old home, rebuilding it, restoring their family name... maybe against some other old families who know about the story or something like that. Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
New update! 2 more games added to my Bingo Card: B2 - Release in your Birth Month (August) - Tinykin / Released: August 30, 2022. Ok, there’s so much to love here, this game is charming, it’s witty, and it’s full of adorable creatures. Plus, the gameplay feels really smooth, the level design is superb, with each of the 6 areas feeling unique not in just design but in storytelling and exploitability, specially Balnea in my opinion...geez this level is great! ❤️. Long story short, do yourself a favor and don't skip this marvelous little game. G5 - Metroidvania or Rogue-Like - Moonscars This game has a similar vibe to Blasphemous, but the biggest issue is that it simply isn't as good. It feels more like a second-tier metroidvania. Gameplay wise, it feels... ok-ish, combat is good but is extremely laggy on ps4, map is easy to navigate around, well placed save points and that’s about all i can say positive about it. Updating my card with: - Alone in the Dark for G-2 Originally Released in 2024: I've always heard about the influence of the "Alone in the Dark" franchise on the creation of Resident Evil and, consequently, survival horror games, but I had never actually played one of their games, just watched gameplays and read about them. I was rooting so much for this new beginning to be successful after so many mediocre releases that I even pre-ordered it, and despite having loved several aspects of the game such as the clever puzzles, the beautiful Derceto mansion and its interesting occupants lurking around the corners, the well-written (and voiced) files, amazing visuals, the great acting of the main actors and crazy endings, it's impossible to deny the serious problems that ruin part of the experience: bugs (including a buggy trophy that prevents owners of the digital version, like me, from getting the plat), clunky combat, simplistic and boring exploration, overstuffed plot and, worst of all, the eternal feeling that it had the potential to be so much better than that. In the end, I still enjoyed the game and I think it deserves praise for having nailed some of the most difficult aspects of creating a survival horror. Popular Post GT__Jedi
Finally getting off my butt to update my progress. Mystic Pillars was a new addition to PS Plus. Puzzle game whereas you have a pattern you need to copy by moving gems from one pillar to another. You have a limited number of moves. Nice afternoon game and Jedi approved 👍 Life is Strange 2 which is another addition to the franchise. Different characters this time about 2 brothers escaping a bad situation. Didn't know if I'd enjoy this one but was actually very good. Not too thrilled with the ending but hey, that's life. 👍 I Am Dead, which I've heard about this game for years now. Well, it seems like years but since it was part of the catalogue, why not. Loved it. Fantastic puzzle game with a bit of back story. Highly recommend it. 👍 Okay, let's get to the winner. The Wild at Heart was one of the best games I've played in a long time. Engaging story, liked all the characters and Woah! Love the graphics! Interconnecting worlds with beasts to battle, collectibles and you don't die! Play this game! 👍👍👍 Life is Strange: True Colors. Best game in the franchise. Updated graphics, really nice story and the main character was actually likeable. Another winner and definitely one I'd recommend anyone to play. 👍👍

Popular Post whodeygamer
Here’s an update to start the month of April. I decided to put Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth in the takes forever to beat category because it took over 100 hours for me to get the plat plus I kept doing other stuff which delayed me getting done with all of the non-DLC content. I don’t know if I’ll end up buying the DLC at a later point, so I’m counting that one as done. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus is going in the “For another PSNP Event” since it’s one of the game I chose for the “Spring 2024 Backlog Challenge”.
