Played if for a few minutes, deleted it and moved on but nice for those who like it.

Alos88
God, Blow is so pretentious. This man getting 9 and 10s for his first attempt at a game and he's sitting in a dark room sobbing because they're aren't smart enough to understand rick and morty

Helyx
Bought Braid at release for $15 due to all the hype and chatter. What a waste of money.

The way they use the mechanic to subvert your interpretation of the events at the end was really clever. It recontextualized everything for me with an extreme sense of melancholy. I also found the music quite moving.
Popular Post alien713
I didn't care much about message this game conveys or the story, I love it for fantastic puzzles and level design, can strongly recommend to anyone who likes this type of games. emailking
The music, the level design, the puzzle solving, all were very good. I think it deserved the good reviews, I also don't think the demo is enough to judge it by as it doesn't have the best elements. I think Blow probably read too much into the feedback but there's nothing wrong with having an emotional reaction to it. Debating reviewers in all the comment sections was perhaps a bit much.

The puzzles were really neat from what I remember, but it's been awhile. Sucks consoles don't work like Steam, because I can get it 50% off there for owning the original. I'd be interested for the new puzzles.

Popular Post zaxonzaxon
Don't think I've ever seen any substantive criticism of this game beyond "the developer is a pretentious ass." I had the same reaction initially, and I was kind of disturbed by it because it was entirely knee-jerk and emotional. After a lot of brutal introspection, I decided my ego was just hurt because I didn't "get it" and it made me feel dumb. As a result, I made an effort to actually listen to Blow and try and get a better of idea of what he and his game were about. I'm glad I did that, because I've since found him to be one of the more thoughtful and interesting people in the games industry. (He comes off as less pretentious if you realize he's just a deeply internal thinker who is kind of socially autistic.) I still don't "get" Braid, but I appreciate that there's someone who's at least trying to think deeper and more seriously about games, even if their work doesn't quite "hit" for me. Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing the remaster now, to see what I think about it after 15 years of personal growth and change. If you're so bothered by the game (or its creator) that it inspires you to pre-emptively shit on its re-release so many years later, maybe you should consider doing the same.
bogaards1997
Never played it, and only in the past 2-3 years I've been playing all the indies people call classic. Now with this and the plat I have a reason to play.

I'm being completely irrational but with The Witness, I got hooked on the mystery which eventually lead to nothing. Did some digging and got told "that's the point" and "you didn't get it" which just made it all the more frustrating and so I wrote him off. It's okay not to "get" things but with The Witness I genuinely don't think there is anything to "get", I just think Blow was fucking with us. NashtyMouse
Weird to see people shit on Braid/The Witness, I never actually played Braid but will definitely pick it up since The Witness is arguably my all time favorite game.
