Popular Post Mr_Wright95
Platinum 187 Twisted Metal 2 A sequel that stays true to the original whilst ramping up the difficulty and expanding the gameplay. Considering this is a PS1 Game the controls (once you are used to them) are pretty decent. The game itself, is great! I really really enjoyed the original and this one is even better! Also the gameplay is much deeper than you first realize with move combinations tucked behind the scenes that can be used to give yourself an edge and help counter the heightened difficulty of what was already a decently tough game. The voice acting at the end of each campaign was a nice touch and whilst the premise of this series is so farfetched, the endings are enjoyable and Calypso is a good antagonist. For all of these reasons this game is ranked in the middle of the "Solid & Fun Games" tier. Link to tier List: Spoiler

Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
357 - Rally Cross PS5 Didn’t play this one back in the PS1 days so I had no nostalgia for it. It’s still a pretty fun game though once you get the hang of the controls. Not an overly hard or time consuming platinum either.
Popular Post Starrk_01
Plat #259 - Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice Another Premium PS1 game which is a sequel to Pursuit Force. Plays almost exactly like the first game but is a bit more forgivable on time requirements in the story missions compared to the first game. There is one or two "challenging" story missions towards the end of the game but nothing outrageous.

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #347 Resistance: Retribution (PS5) Retribution Paid Unlock all trophies in Resistance: Retribution Never finished this on PSP, but I got a lot further than I thought. I got to where you fall into a cloven place and get ambushed and there were so many of those turds who jump around on the walls that I got annoyed dying over and over and quit. I wish you could enable aim assist, because it's incredibly annoying trying to handle certain enemies with the controls on controller. The little leaper things are so fast and the game likes to throw tons of them all at you. Not all are in the eggs so you can't just prevent them showing up. Worst of all is that if you get grabbed by one it might take one health bar, usually less away... but you will still take damage from other sources including the other little bastards so you can go from full health to next to none left in an instant. It's incredibly annoying, thank Yevon for the rewind. And the damn drones. Ugh... but, it's still fun and impressive what Bend were able to do on the PSP back in the day. Even swimming sections and combat! I think that was cool (the swimming enemies are another annoying one, but luckily have not that much health and never get armor). Great music, great to get back into the world of Resistance and get a platinum out of it. I will most likely do the PS4 version as well, but it'll depend on the DLC trophies and how annoying they are to get on the 'when'. I don't have much else to say other than to be further disappointed with how Burning Skies turned out. : ( Still need to think of what to do for the 350 milestone. I keep flip flopping because I'm still thinking about what to do for 400 and if I really am going to be a doofus and do Ni no Kuni again.

Popular Post mega-tallica
#277 - Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Enjoyment: 4.5/5 - Love all the Sly games. Played them all on (then) PS Now but never finished off the plats for TiT or Sly 3 until now, only 7+ years later. Probably because these 2 are a little more involved to plat than the first 2 games are and I wasn't much for going out of my way to get trophies back then. Difficulty: 3/5 - Almost entirely due to the arcade game high scores. One of those PS3 games that forced the use of the Six Axis which made that particular arcade game the challenge for many. But that one wasn't mine, it was the first Alter Ego game where you have to get over 25,000 points. That one took a solid hour of attempts. The strategy people say to use is to get to the boss and then just kill the ghosts that continually spawn to get to the score but I couldn't avoid getting hit by the laser. You have to be perfectly placed behind cover in order not to get hit and I couldn't consistently do it so I resorted to having to get to 25,000 points before even getting to the boss which is doable but you have to be nearly perfect the whole way and go out of your way to kill as many enemies as possible to rack up a high score via the multipliers. Definitely a solid challenge, reminds me of a particularly challenging minigame in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time but that one was even tougher. Aside from that, the game is fairly simple just slightly annoying particularly the trophy for checking the map in every area of the game. That was 3 hours of going through every mission again and checking the map for every area because I had no clue which ones I've already gotten or not so thank goodness for YouTube again. On to Sly 3. Only thing I have left to do there are the challenges which should be fairly straightforward compared to this game and why I did TiT first.

Popular Post YaManSmevz
Platinum #122: Need for Speed Heat The Need For Speed Collect all trophies Rarity: 11.40% Difficulty: 5/10 Yeah, that's what every image for this game looks like. They were presumably so impressed with their lil gradient that they were like "YO. What if we just made this ONE image, and then used it for EVERY trophy, even the platinum??' "Oh hell yeah, braoh!!! And then we'll just make it into a rectangle for the game's main image!!" "Oh dude, that's fuckin LIT. I GOT THE NEED FOR SPEED, BRAH!!" I have to be real and confess I went into this very much not a racing fan, just wanting to get something out of a free PS Plus game, and my half-hearted hopes that I may be converted to enjoying the genre ended up being sadly misguided. On the plus side, there are several qualities even a hater like me can't deny: it looks fantastic (Palm City is stunning, with solid Miami vibes for days), the driving functions are handled splendidly (once you get the hang of drifting, for instance, it's incredibly rewarding), and um... I thought there was a third thing, but I guess that's it. The story is hot garbage, but I can't be too mad at that - it's clearly from a rejected Fast and the Furious script somebody found in the trash, so it's kind of a fool's errand to expect anything worthwhile there. One thing you would expect a game like this to nail is music, though - sports games almost always get down in that department, but the soundtrack here is shockingly boring. Like they just grabbed whatever dollar bin Hip-Hop, Electronica, and Latin music they could find and were like "That's what the kids like, right? This is gonna slay. Do they still say 'slay?'" The guide rates Need for Speed Heat as a 4 on the Difficulty scale, but honestly I had a harder time than that. Some of the challenges (speaking of which, holy fuck are there an unreasonable amount of those) are severely hurt by the RNG traffic and the completely fucking psychotic cops in particular. I'm glad I now have a racing plat, and that I stepped outside of my comfort zone, but beyond that I didn't get too much from the experience. However, that's just me! Just because I didn't particularly enjoy it doesn't mean I think it's bad, if that makes sense - the basic driving controls all feel great, and the world is a joy to look at and traverse through. If you're an arcade racing fan, you really can't go wrong here. If you're like me though and you're not, this ain't gonna change your mind. 18

Popular Post Dinniestar
After 8 long years playing Black ops 3 on and off Having around 800 hours within the game(mostly in multiplayer) This now being my rarest platinum sitting at 0.75% Black ops 3 is finally mine I would recommend this game crazy campaign but the plat is a drag needing minimum 16000 kills and completing multiple challenges and accolades aren't too bad after played through campaign for realistic playthrough veteran no death playthrough and collectables playthrough you'll have most of the accolades.
Popular Post Thrintus
8 DAYS 6.04% VERY RARE Takezo Doraku Takezo's Path of Revenge achieved. What a ridiculous mess of a game haha. Not only is it downright bad, it has also been delisted years ago and to make matters worse, some of the trophies are unobtainable for EU owners of the game, meaning that it'll forever remain at 95%. I also had to run throught the campaign TWICE, even though the trophy guide states that one time suffices if you use chapter select. Not here of course! Glad this is off the backburner, and good luck to anyone who still has to finish this. Never again lol Edited April 16 by Thrintus

Popular Post mega-tallica
#278 - Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves Enjoyment: 4.5/5 - Don't remember much of the game since I last played it 7 years ago and just came back to it to finish off the challenges and the plat. But safe to say since it's Sly Cooper, I probably enjoyed it very much. Difficulty: 3/5 - Like I said, just the challenges I had left to finish off the plat for this game and a handful were definitely challenging and required many tries. Hard enough that I was getting quite frustrated with a couple just because of the wonky hitboxes and parkouring. Mainly the Tsao and Dr. M boss challenges but that can probably be chalked up to me trying to rush it at that point. Security Breach was the one though that really tested my patience. The one where you have to defend the plane in the hangar. I was never one that was good at multitasking and having to keep track of both sides at the same time gave me some trouble. Once one enemy got through to the plane I'd panic and that'd be the end of the run. I obviously eventually got it though. The Ultimate Gauntlet challenge was also quite daunting and was the reason why I probably didn't plat this game originally 7 years ago. But really they give you plenty of time and you can mess up so much and still get within the time limit easily. Enough time where you can stop and heal if you took hits so it really wasn't that bad at all. They give you something like 12 minutes to do it, I did it in 10 and I messed up a ton so plenty of leeway. Just something about time limit challenges that stresses me out. Love the Sly series but certainly glad they're eliminated from my backlog finally.

Popular Post tommeyliang
#71 & #72: Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy (PS4/PS5) Obtained my 71st and 72nd platinum trophies. It took me a year and eight months to do so because of revisiting after getting the platinum for Atelier Ryza 3, and I had already obtained it for the first one on my first try. I wanted to achieve perfection because the Ryza games are just that great. Overall the gameplay and alchemy system are simple to pick up for Atelier Ryza 2, just like the others. The music is fun, whimsical and engaging. Plot in AR2 is better and more cohesive than in AR3, but the first one is still my favorite. Ultimately this now makes me want to try to earn the platinum for Atelier Sophie 2 again (which I gave up on), so we will see. Popular Post disaster500
#110 - Mafia III - 4.82% Personal Difficulty - 3/10 Time Played - ~40 hours After I got the plat for Mafia II last year, I wanted to finish the trilogy and get this plat too. However, Mafia III is infamous for having very buggy trophies. I simply didn't think playing it all in one sitting and praying it doesn't crash sounded any fun. The trophies work as intended on an older patch though. I said I'd wait until either the game gets fixed or I can downgrade it (which I'm playing digitally on a PS5, not so easy). Months later, I see this thread pop up, and it seemed easy to use, so I gave it a shot. And just 5-10 minutes later, Mafia III v1.09 was downloading on my PS5, and the whole platinum experience was bug-free. I highly recommend using this method to downpatch games, it's versatile and easy. Anyway, in Mafia III you play as Lincoln Clay, who has just returned from the Vietnam War in 1968 to his home of New Bordeaux. His surrogate family are intertwined with the local mafia ran by Sal Marcano, and after robbing a bank with them, the Mafia kill all of Lincoln's family, accidentally leaving Lincoln alive with a bullet wound in his head. Vowing revenge for his loved ones, Lincoln teams up with a CIA friend from Vietnam, and some other local leaders wronged by the mafia (including Vito Scaletta from Mafia II) and takes down Marcano's criminal empire, piece by piece until they're all dead. Unlike the first two, Mafia III follows an open world structure. To take over the city, you have to do certain tasks to damage the criminal rackets in that area. These consist of stealing certain items, destroying valuables like drugs, and killing certain people. Do enough damage to a racket and you lure out a Racket Boss, who can kill or spare. Each of the 9 districts has 2 rackets, and after both rackets you get a mission to eliminate one of Marcano's lieutenants. After that the district is assigned to one of your allies. Rinse and repeat until the entire city is yours, and you can go kill Sal. I prefer the structure of the first two games, but the gameplay was still very good. The storytelling was quite well done too imo, dealing with heavy subjects such as racism (I'm assuming being black in 1968 isn't exactly a fun time). Lincoln Clay is a good protagonist, and the supporting cast of characters around him were quite good too. Trophy list is mostly fine, a lot of standard stuff for open world games, with the notable exception of no collectible trophy, despite there being hundreds of the damn things. I'm certainly not complaining, the Wanted posters in Mafia II were enough for me personally. Where the trophy list goes wrong imo some trophies requiring 2 playthroughs. For example, in one playthrough you have to kill the Racket Bosses, and another you spare them. The gameplay does not change nearly enough to warrant another playthrough for this imo, you're basically clicking X instead of Circle every time you get someone at knifepoint. I basically speedran through this playthrough on Easy, killing everyone with the OP silenced pistols. Overall, the game was a nice end to the trilogy, although the first Mafia is still my favourite. If you can play this on v1.09, I recommend it. If you can't, I definitely wouldn't bother, unless you like the prospect of a crash ruining 8-10 hours of gameplay.
