Rune_Crys
Ultra Hat Dimension, probably my last on this term. I am burning out, so I am going to do a new policy for future endeavors - only five games at a time and 90% of them will be EZPZ, only one game will be a meaty grind. That way I can focus on that one game and not worry too much about having 100 100-hour games to plat.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom One True King Awarded for achieving 100% completion Bibbidi bobbidi boo, Higgledy Gaggledy...goo? This has got to be one of the most uplifting games I've ever played. Everything's cheerful. Lots of colours and beautiful scenery. Everybody's happy, even the sad ones. Villains are not all evil, even they have a heart of gold more or less. My One True King Evan-san just wants peace and joy to the world. I'm all for positive thinking and motivational stuff, but this is some syrupy shit I truly believe Evan is Joker in making, asking people "why so serious" and "putting a smile on that face". Creepy stuff, man. Alright, so the package looks and feels like Tenderheart Bear bonded with Pinkie Pie in the land of Teletubbies. But besides an inspirational story (which is quite good, ending is so and so) and stellar graphics, there's the music. Soundtrack here definitely has echoes from Studio Ghibli's awesome animated movies. And, oddly, from Bionic Commando Voice acting is passable, too much repetition on conversation's, though. Goddamn "Crikey!" and "Flippin', man!" gets on my nerves every time. Combat is something I still quite not approve. Instead of turn-based (t-b 4 Life!!!), it's copied from Tales of...series. Now you actually have to move around enemies, dodge attacks and block too. Nah, I'm more of a "CHAAAAAAARGGGEEEE!!!" guy So, me being a Leroy Jenkins didn't help at all in the tougher battles. Getting stunlocked at times didn't either. Lots and lots to do, this being a proper JRPG. A nice, wide open world with 150+ side quests and collectables and skirmishes . Nothing we haven't seen before, just bite the bullet and grind away! I still have to go on, there's DLC's to be...plowed. The first Ni no Kuni remains one of my very favourite games on PS3 (my 2nd Plat ever!), but this one's pretty okay too. Action-oriented combat, a few unfair skirmishes and some cheap enemy types with too much HP drop my final grade to a solid 8/10 Edited July 27, 2020 by Ala-Arska
Popular Post Slava
#14 - TEKKEN 6 Tekken Fanatic Did not expect to achieve my fastest platinum with my first fighting game. After learning the basics I got addicted to this game and couldn't stop playing for the past 6 days. Fantastic game. Great roster of characters to choose from, it feels very satisfying to land every punch, music is cool, the cutscenes and character endings are over the top in a good way. I had lots of fun. My only compaints have to do with the Scenario Campaign mode. It's a fusion of fighting and beat 'em up mechanics in one mode, and while it's an interesting idea, it wasn't executed perfectly. Your AI companion almost never picks up health items, your lock-on stays on the dead enemies for too long, the movement is a little clunky, etc. The trophies are not very hard, as you can guess. The battle against Azazel was difficult for me (and also unfair, that son of a bitch usually teleported to the ceiling as he was about to take massive damage from my long-charged attack, what the hell), and of course the Nightmare Train stage was... a nightmare as well. Nevertheless, I can recommend this game for newcomers like me. There's nothing you wouldn't be able to do. Although it's probably better to pick up Tekken 7 at this point. A big shout-out and special thanks to @PooPooBlast for playing with me and helping me get the online multiplayer trophies (and kicking my ass ). It was fun. Popular Post erickt123
#61 - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (PS3) Decided to pick a physical copy of the Sly Collection on the PS3 not too long ago, I felt like revisiting the old Sly games for a while now. Sly 1 is a pretty easy game and it has some duds for levels, especially if they're in a vehicle of some sort, but for the most part, I enjoyed it. The platforming levels are still fun for me and they have some pretty good pacing. While not required for the platinum, doing the Master Thief Sprints are pretty challenging and are a nice bonus to these short levels. No idea why the physical release of the Sly Collection doesn't have the dev commentaries though. Overall though, I'd say Sly 1 aged well and still has its charm even despite the sequels overhauling the gameplay formula.

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #62 - Crash Bandicoot (+100% ✅)Difficulty Rating 7/10 Enjoyment Rating 10/10 Ultra Rare - 4.10% Back to where it all began! The orange marsupial himself, Crash Bandicoot, used to stand as the lovable platforming mascot of the PlayStation brand. I suppose he still is in a lot of people’s hearts. Just gotta pretend that he isn’t Activision property now Crash is the game which put Naughty Dog on the map and in my humble opinion stands as their true masterpiece. I’m a person who loves my games filled with lots of action and gameplay, so I’m a little biased until I can get around to playing Jak or Uncharted ? From afar, Crash may look easy to play.. but when you’re the one holding controller, tension soars and rage induces ? As cute and kid friendly Crash appears, his game is anything but forgiving. Even someone like myself who considers himself good at platformers had some trouble with this one. But I kept at it and naturally prevailed. It shaped me into an even better player than I once was ^^ The platinum journey is simple. No missables and all about completing levels, time trials and finding gems. That doesn’t mean it’s easy though. A lot of these levels were not made to be rushed back when they were on the original PS1 release, but Vicarious Visions thought it would be hilarious to add time trials to them all. A lot of them have very strict target times and there is no checkpoints for them. If you die once, you’re doing the time trial all over from the beginning. Many levels are possible, but a good number will also make you want to rip your hair out. These levels consist of Sunset Vista, Generator Room, The High Road, Slippery Climb, Fumbling in the Dark and The Lab. You will need to earn gold relics for all if you want to see that platinum. But if you’re a serious completionist and want the 100%, you’ll have to mentally prepare yourself for the dreadful level known as Stormy Ascent. Hardest time trial in the game by far.. and not to be taken lightly. Patience, perseverance and tons of practice is required to see this through to the end. Once you do, the feeling of triumph is like no other and is totally worth the whole journey alone ? I hear this is the hardest game of the N-Sane Trilogy, and it definitely shows ? My guess is if you can get past this game’s challenges, you can easily handle the other two games that come after it. I don’t think nostalgia plays into it, Crash Bandicoot is a solid experience that set out to something a little different with the formula its competitors were already doing before it. A great showcase for the PS1 hardware back in its day, and this new N-Sane Trilogy further polishes that experience. You’ll feel like you’re controlling an interactive cartoon ? Crash should grace everyone’s trophy list and pay homepage to its legacy. I say it’s important to know your roots, and it doesn’t get anymore classic for PlayStation than this. Maybe you’re a Spyro type a person, but I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Ba-da-baaaaa!! ?
Popular Post Raveniteh
Platinum #329 - The Strange Brigade, 25.12% Pretty enjoyable coop experience from the kitchen of Rebellion, developers of Sniper Elite and Zombie Army games. Pick one of the members of The Strange Brigade and go exploring archaeological dig sites, forgotten temples and wonders of Egypt while in pursue of ancient Egypt evil in this third person coop zombie slaying game set in 1930s era with cheeky and incredibly hilarious narration. Trophies are pretty simple and straightforward - complete the game, get all collectibles, unlock all the stuff. Even those pesky horde trophies can be cheesed.

Guest
Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 (On Normal, played mostly on very easy for collectibles) There's nothing that I could say that would persuade people on one side or the other, so I'll keep this spiel short. Loved the story, loved the new characters, loved the gameplay. The only reason I took 1 point off the enjoyment was because of all of the collectibles. That being said, I'm unbelievably grateful that they fixed the collectible tracking compared to how Uncharted 4 had it. The rest of the trophies were relatively straight forward and nothing caused an uproar in me. I'm thrilled with how this game turned out, even though I had the entire story spoiled for me (Mostly my own fault, but still a shame). Omelette Paradise
#385 & #386 - Bouncy Bullets (EU Vita & PS4) I wasn't a big fan of this game. I didn't like the floaty jumping physics or how the player controlled character moves forward slightly when landing on the ground. Nothing that a patch wouldn't fix though and this could have been quite a fun game otherwise but in it's current state I found it a tad frustrating at times. Popular Post preciseRNG
#9 MotoGP 20 MotoGP™ Hero First time I have played a bike racing game and this was a pretty good one. When I started I was constantly crashing and didn't even know how to keep it on the track. After a while I got better and as soon as you figure out how to ride it can be a lot of fun. Did the MP players trophies quite early to get them out of the way. All the other trophies were pretty straight forward except the Historic Mode which was a much bigger grind than it had to be imo. At the end I was quite happy to be done with it, overall a enjoyable game anyway with nice pixel-art trophy pictures (even though they don't really fit)
Popular Post madbuk
#381 - TY the Tasmanian Tiger There are a lot of games on PS2 that I wish had trophies. And over the years, more and more of them got ports, remasters, remakes, etc. which introduced trophies to them. TY is part of that long line of PS2 games I was hoping I'd see trophies for one of these days, and it has finally happened. And honestly, considering the drastically reduced size/budget of the studio and the fact I never see anyone talk about the series at all, it always felt like one of the most unlikely ones to ever get a re-release, so this was a very welcome surprise. I played this game a lot in my childhood, although there was always one barrier that prevented me from 100% - portraits. These collectibles were hidden in transparent boxes that were very hard to spot throughout the game. You get a device later that emits a noise when you're close to one, so they're really not much of a problem, the issue comes in when you're only missing a couple. Because back on PS2, there was no individual level tracking for these collectibles. If you missed one, have fun exploring every corner of every single level again, perhaps multiple times. The biggest improvement of this remaster for me is absolutely the fact that these collectibles are now tracked on a level by level basis. The updated graphics are nice too (though the CGI cutscenes don't look remastered at all), but this one little change finally made it actually fun to get every single thing and 100% the game for the first time. Beforehand I had only ever gotten every other collectible instead and ignored the portraits (multiple times.) It has held up better than I expected. Is it oustanding, revolutionary, or one of the best in the genre? No, not really. It doesn't do anything to set itself apart from the many 3D platformers we got back in this era of gaming imo, and that's completely okay, because what it does, it does well enough to be a fun time, and that's enough for me to be able to say I enjoyed my time with it. I don't need every game I play to be a groundbreaking experience. I hope to see TY 2 and 3 ported over to PS4 some day as well, we never got 3 over here in the UK so that'll be brand new to me, although tbh I never really liked 2 quite as much as 1. It's fine, but I didn't like the drastic changes to the formula it made, which is why I'm very interested in the idea of revisiting it all these years later. It's a shame this didn't get a physical release, I hope that doesn't hinder their potential sales too much, but they launched it at a completely reasonable digital price so I'm grateful for that. This was a joy to relive and the list of PS2 games I want to see ported continues to decline (honestly all that's left at this point are TY 2 and 3, LEGO Batman 1, Indiana Jones 1, Burnout 3, Burnout Dominator, Harry Potter 1-3 + Quidditch World Cup, and Legend of Spyro) which is great to see. I can absolutely recommend this to 3D platforming fans if you don't go in expecting something incredible.
Popular Post AstralYato
#3 Marvel's Spiderman Be Greater I've been meaning to play Spiderman for a long time but I didn't have a PS4 for a while so I missed out when it came out but now I've finished it and platinumed it so what do I think of it? First without even mentioning the combat or story swinging around NYC is so freaking fun that I never wanted to fast travel to get around the map so I gotta praise Insomniac for making web slinging so good. For combat it feels good (Played all the Arkham games so I'm used to the style of combat) a few enemies did piss me off but it never was a big issue. Storywise I love this version of Peter Parker (Resemables Tobey alot) it's good to return to a older Peter who has issues in his life and isn't just a Iron Man jr. Yuri Lowenthal did such an amazing job and especially the last few cutscenes the performance he gave actually made me teary eye ? If I have any issues with Spiderman it's definitely the path in getting 100% and it's not because it's difficult at all, If I could summed it up in one word it would have to be TEDIOUS . Most collectables and side missions are fine and actually enjoyable but oh god all the crimes you have to do is just ridiculous and it got really fucking boring and annoying fast. I didn't mind the thug and demon crimes, the real problem was when you finished act 2 and now there's a total 10 extra crimes around each district. So now you have to wait around to get the crimes to appear for each district and that's when it was actually starting to make me get irratated but besides that everything else was fine. Difficulty 2/10 (Everything is marked on the map so it's quite a handy game to keep track of all the progress and with no difficulty related trophies it's a chill game to platinum. I'm giving a extra point because of the absolute boredem of doing all the crimes.) Enjoyment 8/10 (it was truly a great experience playing this game and I mostly had a great time in getting this platinum but the tediousness of doing the last bit of the 100% did damper the exprenice a little but still it was a great game and I can't wait for Miles Morales on the PS5) Next up: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Edited July 29, 2020 by AstralYato
