Popular Post kanzenchaos
#80 - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (PS3) I really can't believe I never heard of this game in the PS2 days. Imo it was a really fine platformer that does have some really challenging sections (yes, I was fooled by the >50% plat rate lol). All in all I really recommend it to everyone who likes platformers! Hope Sony hasn't forgotten about it as well.
Popular Post Yuuria_
#28 ASTRO'S PLAYROOM I finally managed to get my hands on a Playstation 5 a couple days ago (worry not, it wasn't through scalpers) so I decided to give this game a shot and I'm very glad I did. Astro's Playroom is a short, fun little bundle of joy and nostalgia that will take you on a journey into the playstation universe, from inception to today. Be prepared to be amazed by the many nods and references to the games that have defined the gaming landscape. Had it been just all that it would've already been more than enough to be worth your time but Astro's Playroom also succeeds at being a very good technical showcase for the Dualsense's new features! TIME TO PLATINUM: 4 Hours You can easily get through the game in around 3 hours. The game offers collectibles tracking which allows you to know exactly how many artifacts of each type you missed on each and every level. The runbacks to get to any specific point of a map are extremely short, always clocking in at under 60 seconds, making cleanup fast and efficient. Timed challanges are available for those who seek more longevity out of the title and for those who fancy being at the top of their friend list's leaderboard! DIFFICULTY: 1/10 Gameplay wise Astro's Playroom presents itself as a simple 3D platformer. Given the game's goal as that of being a technical showcase for the new controller's potential, it being a very easy experience that most player will be able to overcome with very little effort shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. FUN FACTOR: 10/10 Reliving Playstation's history is nothing short of a magical experience. I felt compelled to scour every nook and cranny of the game-world looking for every last secret and reference to titles new and old. Seeing little nods to some of my all-time favorites got me nostalgic and reminiscing of times past and excited for what's to come. Astro's Playroom comes preinstalled in every Playstation 5 so you really have no reason to pass up on this one! Popular Post DeathNyx
Grand Theft Auto III Platinum N°98: King of Liberty City Unlock all trophies. Game enjoyment: 6 - 6.5 Trophies enjoyment: 6 - 6.5 Trophies difficulty: 5.5 - 6 (potentially higher if you don't follow a guide) Comment: Ok this is most likely my least favorite GTA (III < LCS < IV < SA < VC < VCS < V < Online). It is fun overall, like you would expect from a GTA game but there are certain things that break the gameplay experience like those annoying overpowered gangs that shoot you on signt interfering with your ongoing mission, no bikes, no helicopters... tbh i didn't even enjoyed Claude's story and also the location/map of Liberty City. Radio stations however, have some really nice songs (also from Scarface movie!) and Chatterbox is fun. I hope R* will bring LCS and VCS to PS4 with trophies and and the latter on Android as well)
TomSince1991
#30: Just Dance 2019 Hardcore Just Dancer Difficulty: 8/10 Enjoyment 7/10 Fun game i did with the GF. Wouldn't have been able to get Megastar on all songs without her, that's why i gave it an 8 in difficulty ?. I really enjoyed it though. Not on my own, but together it was a blast. Gets a little grindy near the end. Had all other trophies around level 70, but getting to level 100 took a while. Totally recommend it for playing together with friends, partners or kids.
Popular Post leandrorhcp
#103Stardew Valley JOTPK killed the game for me, makes no sense to put this trophy in an otherwise a very relaxing and enjoyable game. I just can't comprehend how this was possible before the 1.5 patch, even so I found it incredibly hard and frustrating. My respect to the people who got it the "legit" way.

freeman4200
Finally got ten platinum trophies over the course of 6 years. I loved the borderland series and when I started the first one again, it brought back many memories. Took me a while to get to level fifty but I only play a couple hours a day, so can't complain. On to borderlands 2!
Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #314 Shadow of The Colossus (PS3) Wander and the Colossus Acquired all Trophies Shadow of The Colossus is such a truly phenomenal game! I hadn't actually played it for about fourteen years all the way back on my dusty PS2 that retired to live under my bed. At least that was the last time before recently picking up the Team Ico HD collection, I'm so glad that I did because playing through these classics the last few weeks has been an absolute blast, I feel like I probably should have revisited them a bit sooner. I also don't think when I first played this all those years ago I truly appreciated how well crafted the game is. I appreciated it yes, but ironically it is probably going for the trophies in this that really opened my eyes to how good it is. I saw so much more this time round than I ever did before, I never bothered to collect fruit or lizard tails when I used to play this, because I thought "well you get enough stamina from the Colossi lets just move on". Silly me I suppose haha, because due to that I missed out on so many landscapes I had never even noticed before because it was more a case of going from Colossus to Colossus back then. Everybody, that still has a PS3 and hasn't played this version BUY IT NOW!! or y'know maybe get the digital version whilst the store is still available because I have a feeling this game physically might start to skyrocket once a fixed digital price has vanished. I think, just like the remaster of ICO the remaster of Shadow of The Colossus was made with such a large degree of love and dedication. Like I said in my post about ICO I do feel like the need to sell a product has somewhat hindered modern remasters, where a few more corners get cut, less dedication and time is given, which does sometimes lead to an inferior product. I get it though nostalgia sells and all that. This remaster was released back when there were fewer remastered collections around I suppose, but I think of the ones I have personally played from the PS3 era this was definitely up there as one of the best. As usual I won't mention anything about the story in case anybody hasn't or still wants to play it, or has somehow managed to avoid all the spoilers about this game for the last fifteen years or so between now and its release haha. Outside of the fact that just like ICO it is something quite simple executed incredibly well, which is quite often the case with cinema too. Visually and musically, it was just as I remembered it just a little glossier looking, which obviously is great, it always seems to be a bit of a mixed bag when you see PS2 textures in a HD format, sometimes it works better than others, but I think for a remaster they did a fantastic job both visually and musically. There are so many small and brilliant bits of attention to detail too; one of the Colossus is absolutely afraid of fire, so when you manage to knock its armour off, you can see lots of burn markings all around the fur you grip onto, illustrating why it fears fire, I had never noticed that when I played it back on PS2, but a fantastic detail that I guess could be easily overlooked. As with all the other Team Ico games that I have played so far, (I've not played Last Guardian yet but I plan to soon.) the OST in this is also incredible, with so many memorable pieces. One of the things I really liked was how the tempo would often switch from serene and peaceful, to ferocity almost in the click of the fingers, particularly the music during the Phalanx fight or the flying nutsack as one of my friends calls them. Taking all that into consideration, it is possible for a game to possess all of the above yet have some really uninspiring and uninteresting trophies or trophy requirement that can sometimes hinder enjoyment. (Looking at you Tales of Berseria haha!!) this DOESN'T though! I thought it might, but even the fact you essentially need about six playthroughs for the platinum and to find quite a lot of collectibles, I don't think that I was ever bored once. To me that really illustrates how good this game is. I don't think its too difficult either, the only thing that would probably give people the most trouble is the Hard Time Attacks, I guess those could become a blocker for most people, especially as in this PS3 version Wander's movement reminds me of one of those animal balloons that mimic the motion of walking, especially when jumping, I don't remember him tipping over quite so much on the PS2 version, but its quite possible he did. I only really struggled with Colossus 3, 6 and 15 for the HTA's, most of the others only took 2 or 3 attempts at most thankfully. If I was going to give advice on them I'd just say make sure you cut corners where you can and that most Colossus' weak points have a much larger hit box than they actually look like they do, so you can use that to your advantage to get in spots where you are less likely to be thrown off and have to restart. I would obviously recommend this game to anybody that hasn't played it and still wants to, or just wants to play an absolutely awesome game. I could probably spend a stupidly long amount of time listing all the reasons this game is absolutely worth your time, but they probably would have released a remake of the remake by then haha. Just trust me that it is. If you are into your Ultra Rare Platinums this one might be for you as well, it was 2.49% when I achieved it yesterday which is always nice to nab another Ultra Rare plat when you can, its got 6 or 7 Ultra Rares too if those are your thing. All the guides say that the game takes about 50 hours, which it might have done, I'm not actually sure. If it did then WOW because I've played games that can take about 15 hours to platinum in the past, that felt longer than it took to get the platinum here. As if it wasn't obvious I enjoyed it a lot, there really aren't many flaws to be found within it, they aren't really worth mentioning as they won't hinder your enjoyment. I do plan to play the remake soon as well whilst all of the games mechanics, collectibles and strategies are still fairly fresh in my mind so I'm really looking forward to that!! Popular Post JoaLoft
#247 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Anyone who knows me, knows that my perspective on Call of Duty games remains skeptical at best, due to their annual releases, little improvements in gameplay and short, lackluster campaigns as of late (looking back at the last 7 to 8 years). However: I've always remained on the fence about 2019's Modern Warfare reboot. I heard about its campaign being praised everywhere, so I finally caved with the current Spring Sale being online, and decided to add the game to my library. It may be a reboot, but it carries the hallmarks of a Modern Warfare story: amazing campaign (again, finally!) and a few familiar charismatic faces to carry its morally heavy subject matter. Featuring series favorite Captain Price and newcomers Kyle Garrick, Alex (last name classified) and insurgent fighter Farah Karim, it focuses on the theft of a batch of Russian chemical weapons and multiple factions entering into conflict with one another because of it. It is up to our protagonists to chase the weapons, find out who is behind it and stop the conflicts' sparks from igniting World War III, eliminating any threats along the way. This campaign is one of the best yet, my fellow journalists were not joking, or providing cheap PR for Activision. Except for the fact that its finale is not as jaw-dropping as Modern Warfare 1's (2007) or Modern Warfare 2's, it still has very tight pacing, with virtually no superfluous chapters. Almost every mission brings something memorable or worthwhile to the table, with some chapters being downright incredible. The London townhouse mission, "Clean House" is an excellent example. This high-quality storytelling goes hand in hand with the brand-new engine they designed for the reboot. The audiovisual department killed it, bringing action-packed levels and stealth encounters to life in awe-inspiring fashion. And important to note: the campaign hosts some shocking scenes, which don't necessarily function for simple shock value, but to bring the fading of the thin line - between what is morally just and what is required to defeat your adversaries - to the narrative forefront. Modern Warfare also features multiplayer. Surprise. Which works fine, I guess: there are a lot of customizable options, and the gunplay is still satisfying. I'm not a fan of the small maps and quick deaths, making it feel like you're all headless chickens running around with itchy trigger fingers, but depending on your favorite mode, it's quality stuff. There's also a Special Ops coop mode which I have yet to try out, but I've heard it's only a small yet decent addition to the overall package. And how could you have missed Warzone, the final (free!) addition to Modern Warfare. Battle Royale games have slowly been flooding the market ever since Fortnite, but Warzone is one worth playing, without a doubt. It features the same engine and same satisfying gunplay, presented in its own unique style. As an overall package, even a critical skeptic like me has to admit 2019's Modern Warfare is a Call of Duty entry worth picking up, especially when it's on sale. For a Call of Duty game to get that level of praise from me is a hard feat to achieve, indeed. One thing I need to add, is that I do still wish they would one day release a campaign mode that is longer. Six to seven hours, despite them being filled with high-quality gameplay, just doesn't cut it for me anymore. It falls short of what I think a solo mode requires to be considered a finished product. I remain hopeful that someday Activision will see the light and decide to invest more into Infinity Ward's campaign development, so we can pull those six hours up to at least a juicy ten hours of amazing warfare storytelling. I am skipping 2020's Black Ops Cold War, because I found the campaigns from the other studios have not been able to meet that same top level quality of Infinity Ward, not meriting its hefty price tag. But I will be keeping a close eye on Infinity Ward's next project, most likely being a direct sequel to this reimagining of the cultural phenomenon which was the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Most frustrating trophy - ... NONE! You'd expect I'd put the trophy here to complete every campaign mission on Veteran or Realism difficulty here, would you? While it is the hardest trophy to achieve for sure, and taking into account that Veteran difficulty levels in Call of Duty campaigns can be notoriously frustrating (I'm looking at you, World at War, with your relentless and ridiculous grenade barrages!), this was surprisingly very enjoyable and as such, not notably frustrating. The campaign's high quality definitely mitigates the high difficulty level, because aside from a small difficulty spike at the end of the campaign, it never felt punishingly hard. You'll definitely still die more than a few times in total, but the new gameplay mechanics - especially the corner leaning - made it more immersive and a bit easier to pick off enemies one by one. Not just that, I went for the Realism difficulty to get the complete Veteran experience without a HUD, which was a blast to play. Especially those nocturnal stealth missions are some of the best Call of Duty campaign levels you'll ever play. Most of the trophies consist of miscellaneous challenges, i.e. achieving a multikill with a molotov or killing all enemies in a mission without hitting any civilians, and there are no multiplayer or coop trophies (aside from one coop DLC trophy) to speak of, making this not only the most enjoyable Call of Duty platinum trophy to get, but also one of the easiest ones yet, save for the Modern Warfare 1 & 2 Remastered ones which also focus exclusively on solo achievements. Maybe my skills have honed in these many years, maybe this Realism difficulty level just wasn't as hard as I was expecting it to be: regardless, both Modern Warfare and its trophy list were an absolute joy to complete. Infinity Ward, I'm betting it all on you to keep injecting the franchise with quality campaigns. Don't go dark on me.
Popular Post KooTippa
Platinum #24 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Enjoyment: 7 / 10 Difficulty: 5 / 10 Last unlocked trophy: Charted! - Crushing Decided to blast through original Uncharted: Drake's Fortune once again but this time on PS3 to bump up my platinum trophy numbers a bit. I've platted all three on PS4 already so that's why I gave the difficulty only 5 / 10. I was scared to go through that flooded water room in castle again but I managed to do it without dying this time (I really struggled with that part on PS4 and probably died close to 30-40 times.) It was a fairly smooth run with no major difficulties and had fun replaying the game (for the 1000~~th time).
Popular Post Zanreo
Been a while since I last posted, but been getting a lot of plats recently! #36: The New Dragon Obtained all trophies. (thought I had posted this when getting it months ago but looks like I never did? Anyway it's here now. Loved the game, though Final Millennium Tower grind was a pain) #37: We're Virtual Stars! You've gotten all trophies! Don't forget to like and subscribe! (Quickest and easiest Neptunia plat I've gotten, but this was fun x3) #38: Pic-of-the-Bunch (PS4) Collect all the trophies. (I love Picross, so was probably only a matter of time before I got this x3) #39: Piece of Cake Collect all the trophies. (More Pic-a-Pix, now with.. PIECES! But yeah it's Pic-a-Pix/Picross again, not much more to say except this time several smaller pictures form a big one.) #40: Ultimate Sweet (PS4) You've seen everything in the game! Thanks for playing! (Saw this randomly from a PSN friend's recent trophies and decided to try it out x3 Quick and easy plat, but I also found the game somewhat interesting when I saw it, and I liked it, it's a cute VN) #41: Ultimate Sweet (Vita) You've seen everything in the game! Thanks for playing! (...and with a quick and easy game like this, why not take advantage of crossbuy?) #42: Pic-of-the-Bunch (Vita) Collect all the trophies. (More crossbuy, for this playthrough I just shamelessly looked up all the solutions lol. I also like how the PS4 and Vita versions have different trophy images) #43: Piece of Cake (Vita) Collect all the trophies. (more quick crossbuy plats lol) #44: All Done Unlock all trophies. (So this had been on my to-play-list for a while now, and I finally got around to playing it. Mostly a fun and cute game, though with some annoying bugs that made me do another playthrough just for one trophy (damn you, snowman!))
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #398 Life is Strange 2: The Wolf Brothers Uncommon: 44.28% Difficulty: 2/10. Enjoyment: 9/10. Challenge: 7/10. Music: 7/10. Genre: Adventure, Action, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Drama, Murder, Death and Super Powers. Grind Difficulty: 4/10. Platinum Time: 2 days and 22 hours. Whew! Finally got this platinum out of the way. Today went about average at the very least, I was a bit slow at the start at first but I slowly picked up the pace and kept going. The story was slightly longer then I expected and yeah the whole game itself is boring as fuck. Dealing with many obstacles can be annoying and make you end up getting lost so to speak. Whole game can be fruitless and not as better as the first sequel presented itself. I'll explain Pros and Cons below. Pros: The story was a decent start until the end of the game. Pretty much alot to deal with in Life is Strange 2 and experienced a nice journey to the end. I've experience good things and sad things along the way and it can be little sad at some partial scenes and choices to begin with. Choosing to surrender in the end was the best way to end the game and the ending itself was very good and I pretty much enjoyed it happily. Cons: The story was good as I said above however in most contrast to this 2nd sequel is boring, bland, not enough action and emotional to the story. Stories like these should of cut slightly short and not making it to long in the game. The music should of make it at least more, vibe, emotional and joyful but only time will tell. A kid with super powers is ridiculous. It should of been Sean Diaz the main character in the 2nd sequel just like Max Caulfield. Recommended this game for new players. Next Platinum: ???

Popular Post DarkSamurai69
#336 Celeste Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 8/10 A really good platformer with tight controls. New mechanics being introduced throughout kept the gameplay interesting. I was surprised when I got to C-Side 8 and was introduced to a new way to traverse. I decided to go through the story and attempt the B-Side and C-Side without use of the Assist mode. I actually managed to do it all without Assist mode which I was happy about. Of course the level that I'm sure most people had trouble with was C-Side 7; particularly the last screen. I died close to 1000 times on that screen alone. It felt daunting at first when going for these challenges but it is always nice to see improvement as you practice and progress.

Popular Post Boomshanks
( 61) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Platinum Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 (campaign) 10/10 (multiplayer & zombies) Whoo, 8 years after buying the game for the multiplayer and completing those trophies I decided to finally clear this game off my backlog. I only started the campaign at the end of 2020 and was immediately in for a huge undertaking. The campaign in these games is never really my cup of tea. Just like with Battlefield, the game is just too over the top for me to take it seriously. Every new cutscene they talk about how that shit in Panama was whack, or how that stuff in Nicaragua got completely out of hand and how Mason was one tough son of a bitch, etc. They did manage to create a menacing Bondvillain with Raul Menendez and I liked the gunplay and the levels. Which was good, because I had to play them all at least half a dozen times. First I completed the game on Hardened difficulty, but somehow the relevant trophy wouldn’t unlock. Then I started working on the challenges and oh my God! The challenges themselves are often interesting and fun to go for, but one things fucks it all right into the ground. No… Reloading… Checkpoints… How can this be so difficulty to implement! Games on the PS2 had this feature. But no, this game doesn’t and now if you miss a challenge you have to start the whoooolle fucking level all over again. Oh and did I mention the unskippable in-game cutscenes. You can imagine how much fun this is when you fail a challenge at the end of a level ⚰️. I think I played each level between 5 to 10 times before I had all of the challenges from that level completed. The most frustrating challenges for me were getting the 10 kills with the flamethrower and getting 8 kills at the clinic. I was dreading the Ziggy challenge but I somehow got it on my fifth try. Back in 2012 I bought this game with a group of friends solely for the multiplayer. And what an experience it was. We had a clan of 8 people and would play most evening with voice-chat via Skype. It feels like so long ago now, back when I was still at university and we somehow had a lot more free time than we do now. I miss those times, where everything felt simpler and we would just get together with the guys to play Black Ops 2 online. The online itself was absolutely incredible with tense gameplay, awesome weapons and levels and a 10-point system that worked well to keep everything balanced. I was incredible lucky to go for the Big Leagues trophy on a whim in 2013 as I wasn’t really going for this platinum back then. And finally there’s zombies. I played it once in 2012 and didn’t like it, but this time a good friend wanted to go for the trophies together and I absolutely loved it! The trophies in the Zombies mode are just so much fun. They’re challenging in a good way. I loved slowly figuring out the map as you go for the easter egg. Each round you learn something new and get just a bit further which makes you want to keep playing over and over. We had so much fun with this game mode that we decided to go for all of the DLC zombie trophies as well and thus Black Ops 2 is suddenly back in my weekly rotation and I’m looking forward to it just as much as I did back in 2012 and 2013.
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum No. 215! Valkyria Revolution Grand Cordon of the Azure Wolf My second Valkyria game! Actually, this one is a spin-off which use the same terms (Valkyria, ragnite, etc.), but the combat system is completely different (some kind of action system with the ATB, so you need to wait and fill this gauge in order to attack), but you can easily break the game using the smoke granades... Except bosses, of course! I found the story quite good, but there are so many cutscenes that I thought that maybe I was playing a Cold Steel game! There are also lot of loading times, which are also due to the structure of the plot (this one is narrated after everything had happened, so you need to "jump" from the present to the past and see the "true story") the game becomes quite repetitive, since you need to replay the same missions in order to level up, find new ragnite spells, and power up the characters through the ragnite cores. Some bosses are quite brutal and are really long, like tha huge battleship in chapter 7, or that stupid two headed dragon in chapter 9 (or 10), and this one is really atrociuos, since you have to defeat the two heads at the same time. Easy? Well, no! Because the second head hasn't a HP gauge, you have to calculate the damage using the color of the hits, which are yellow, orange, and finally red. And, if you don't manage to kill them at the same time, the two heads heal themselves, and the battle goes on. And this boss is really annoying with its spamming attacks... Finally, there's a spike difficulty at the end of the game, where you have to level up in order to defeat the final boss. And since I levelled up through the entire game, this last boss was very easy, since I kept spamming inferno against her (and I was also ignoring her elemental weaknesses!). But I found the soundtrack really good, an orchestrated one. So, Valkyria Chronicles was an amazing game (and probably also the VC 4, since it has the same structure), but this spin off is quite mediocre. Platinum screenshot after I defeated a random Valkyria on the battlefield!
