Popular Post disaster500
#56 MediEvil A remastered PS1 game. I was very young when I played PS1/2 games on a PS2 Slim, so I barely remember anything about most of the games I played on it. MediEvil is one of those games. So when I saw it on PS Plus Extra I thought I'd give it a try, see how it is. It's a decently fun game, but you can tell it's a remastered PS1 game because of the camera. The game's levels have all sorts of random camera angles built into them, and shifting between them can throw you off. It wasn't enough to ruin my fun though. Would recommend.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #254 Star Wars Episode I: Racer Now THIS is podracing Earn all trophies. Didn't intend to play this, but I wanted a physical copy of Republic Commando one of my favorite SW games and this was with it so why not? I did play it way back in the day at a friend's house for awhile. I don't think I liked it, but hey. It's alright. I wish they put any effort at all into the trophy images. You really couldn't at least use some character renders. I'd even take some hideous ingame character models rather than reusing the banner image for every trophy... Anyway, other than one track "Abyss" the game was ranging between boring (first cup) or decently fun. Abyss was unnecessarily hard considering nothing else is even close to it. You can die a thousand times on every other track, but this one if you fall off a specific spot and end up off the main course you're going to lose no matter what you do. It's stupid. But I did it in the end. I don't have much to say other than the draw distance kind of dampens things a bit. Maybe at a lower framerate it wasn't as bad back in teh day to handle processing what's coming at you at high speeds, I don't know, but it felt like I was just playing bumper cars half the time. And I really don't understand how the part mechanics work in terms of repairs/damage they take. But I guess you don't have to understand to get the plat. *shrug* Another on the backlog down. This made me want to pick back up two other common plats of racing games. Beach Buggy Racing or something to that effect, and... some Jetski Racing game. Maybe I can do it now. The former requires driving an insane amount of distance though as I recall, and I'm awful at both for some reason in these 'easy' games, but who knows. edit; oh yea, soundtrack is amazing. Not entirely fitting of what’s happening sometimes, but you can’t fault SW music Edited December 21, 2022 by Elvick_
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #1025 Ape Escape PS5 Uncommon: 36.18% Difficulty: 2/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 8/10. Music: 8/10. Story Mode: 5/10. Genre: Action, Adventure, Platform, Single Player and Time Travel. Grind Difficulty: 3/10. Platinum Time: 4 hours and 6 minutes. This feels so good to go back to Ape Escape for the first time in 23 years and yes I am playing the EU version voice cast of it and you know what? The game maybe very short and all but it is still a great game and fun to play and capturing the monkeys all over again. I do recall something was funny in the EU Version of Ape Escape. It's funny when every time Spike jumps he says "Fuck" or "Butt" or any other crazy shit going on and warping in your heads at the very least. Specter's Castle was my favorite music and same applies goes to TV Tower and Specter's Factory (Both Outside and Inside). The only downside that I have a problem is that Ape Escape should of have both stacks of EU and NA versions since they different voice casts from different settings and most importantly, having more trophies would of posed a decent challenge for the game. But other then that it's all good and I'm still happy for that. To be honest I think the EU voice cast of the EU version of Ape Escape is alot more better then the NA version sadly because it has or shows a great depth of raw feeling within you. I mean hey that is just my opinion on how I really feel about the game. I couldn't leave and finished this game half-baked even though I platinum Ape Escape well enough and I thought well fuck it, I'm gonna get all the Specter's Coins and captured the remaining monkeys and send them back to the petting zoo where they belong and facing Specter again for the 4th time was a much better appealing challenge for me and you know what? I have enjoyed it immensely. I think Specter's Castle has a great taste and mysterious vibe when you entered his castle and see all of his medieval death traps, bats, and other crazy shit to go on. I have found it more interesting to see or use the glitch by using the Slingshot and it still always works. Now I don't have to take the lazy way around the long way and tried out this new bad boy and it was really helpful cutting through corners and chewing up all the good bits and spitting them out completely. Now I think it is really useful and helpful for you guys to try this one out when you have the time to do so. Platinum Trophy! Spoiler Money Bags Trophy! Spoiler Pro Catcher Trophy! Spoiler It was fun, nostalgic, and great theme of music to go on and I am very happy that I enjoyed this game well enough. Now then, what to do now? Highly recommend for this game! Popular Post s68sc
(PS4 Stack, the PS5 stack is 24) I never played it on PSP despite having one, not gonna lie this game was very fun and I hate the fact that it has a very easy trophy list but it could be worse, at least it has a platinum and is the first ever PSP game with a trophy list, I hope they will put more PSP games with a trophy list. Just an fyi if you want to do beach buggy racing you’ll need to pick up the EU version because that got patched to lower the amount of distance and coins needed overall and the NA version never got that patch. It’s literally a 50+ hour difference between stacks.
Popular Post Valzentia
#123 - Pinball Heroes (PS4) Difficulty: 2/10 (for me) Fun: 10/10 So glad we have a pinball game with a platinum that isn't shovelware; this is instead a port of a PSP game, and a damn fun PSP game at that. It features a collection of eight pinball tables based on Sony's gaming properties. The only one represented in this game that's still active as of right now is Uncharted to my knowledge, making it a cool little time capsule too. The trophy list doesn't ask much of you but it's a blast to play if you love pinball as much as I do.
Popular Post Neo_Zord
#65 Watch Dogs (PS4) - 100% Clear The infamous hacker game that was supposed to be somewhat at the pinnacle of technology but fell short with downgrades when the devs got the actual hardware. Wish this game had an uncapped frame rate at launch, like Assassin's Creed Unity has because PS5 absolutely powers through it, the loadings are so quick that I'm curious to see how it compares to the PS3 version. Anyway, the game is enjoyable but suffers a bit from the Ubisoft's tower syndrome but I did find the collectibles enjoyable albeit a bit boring with the added hacking terminals thing some of them had. But speaking of boring, I've never seen an antidrinking message as effective as the Social Lubricant trophy, it isn't hard by any means but can take a longe time to complete due to the amount of rounds. Now I just have to complete the DLC, take a break and then play Watch Dogs 2.
Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2650: Pinball Heroes (PS5 version of the PSP version ... sort of) A great holiday surprise from Sony, giving us the first PSP game with a platinum, and a stylish one at that. Pinball Heroes had a Vita version without a platinum back then and horrible trophies which demanded all achievements on six tables - a very difficult and frustrating task. Here the trophies are easy and self-explaining. What's better this version has a rewind function, making the platinum a cakewalk - beating the table highscores without rewinding would be a whole different story. Don't expect tables crowded with effects and great ball physics like the Zen Pinball or Pinball Arcade, even Zaccaria Pinball had better physics. Demon's Tilt also comes to mind - you see there are many great pinball titles (forget about the Breakthrough pinball games). Here you have the limitations of the PSP in action (still way better than Breakthrough Gaming Arcade's Pinball), and so nice to see some of the old franchises with their own tables. Worth a try, but even if you are not too deep in pinball games this is an easy and quick (an hour or two quick, that is) platinum with a straightforward list. Popular Post PotrikBerger
Marvel’s Midnight Suns Anticipation - superhero Deck building and card battling mechanics? Yes please, sign me up! - 4/5 Enjoyment - Had played a few stinkers leading up to this one so Was surprised by just how much I enjoyed this game, quickly got onto my top 5 games of 2022 list. Huge list of playable characters, hrs and hrs of story (Truly surprising how much there is) and lots of fun to be in this world. An absolute must play for deck building lovers. - 5/5 Retrospect - Not forgettable by any means. A bit of a grind for last trophy, but I can forgive that because the rest of my time with the game was so much fun. A couple of real annoying bugs, but nothing permanent. Overall, One of the best of 2022 - 4/5
Popular Post Redgrave
#264: And that completes the list! - Toem: A Picture Adventure There's not much to say about this one. I got it from PS+ and to be fair towards it, it's kind of a charming game in its own right with a pretty simple premise of you play as a character that is supposed to go take a picture of something called a Toem for their grandma. Along the way there are tasks you need to do for the Platinum and they are all pretty simple especially if you follow a guide. In fact you can kind of skip ahead with them if you follow a guide. But yeah, it's a nice inoffensive game that if you got it on PS+ it makes for a rainy day Platinum that can be done in like 5 or 6 hours. The only other takeaway is that the main character just made me think of Glep from Smiling Friends ?
Popular Post Moridin83
#247 Godzilla Probably my final plat of 2022, and one 7+ years in the making. I actually like the core gameplay loop of this game. Destroy stuff, get bigger, destroy more stuff, smash other kaiju. If you're a fan of the classic Godzilla movies, you move like the big guy did back then, and it's actually fun. However, that's about the only good thing I can say, because the amount of content vs. the amount of time you spend grinding that content is soul deadening. The core gameplay loop is fun for a couple of runs, but you're doing so many runs of the same content, only switching out kaiju, that it's incredibly boring. Yes, the kaiju have different movesets, but not enough so to make this anything other than a miserable grind. The game has been delisted (rights issues), so it's hard to even get a copy, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. As a curiosity, it was great, and with more variety of stages, or less grinding needed, it could have stayed interesting, but as it is, they should have let Godzilla destroy this plat in development.

Popular Post RoastedPeanut
#213: Plague Road Master Doctor (57.63%) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 2/10 Well damn this game sucked! Talk about an extremely barebones tactical RPG. There's really not much in the way of character development and fighting enemies just feels like a chore. Unfortunately you're forced to fight quite a bit to obtain "herbs" instead of exp which are used to unlock new areas of the game. You unlock new characters by rescuing hooded figures called survivors throughout the maps and can then unveil what class they are when you arrive back at the farm which acts as the hub area where you can level up your characters and acquire new skills. The Asian version is the only one that has a platinum trophy, but don't let the rarity fool you. It's definitely not some quick cakewalk of a game
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #255 Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition UNDER DEFEAT MEISTERUnlock all trophies Pretty forgiving platinum given you unlock more continues as you go along. I only ever needed about 7 to be comfortable getting through hard. Just wish the difficulties had stacked. The only issue is the massive slowdowns. Especially in the arcade mode. But I'm glad to have finished this after over 8 years. I don't have much to say about the game itself. I like the plat icon. edit; oh yeah, the final boss is annoying. Half the time time just ran out (thankfully that counts as a win), and then other times I was able to kill it. I never figured out the trick to actually damaging the thing. Popular Post Darling Baphomet
191: Mad Games Tycoon (10.05%) Mad Games Tycoon, or: How I learned to embrace my inner EA, make billions of dollars through predatory monetization in F2P games, and buy and shut down every other game developer. In all seriousness though, this game is... interesting. The core concept is much like that of Game Dev Tycoon - you start out as a single dev working in a garage and slowly work your way up until you've built a gaming empire. Or you go bankrupt. One or the other. It's hard to say whether or not this game is really better or worse than Game Dev Tycoon though, because while it adds a fuck ton of new depth, it may also be the jankiest, glitchiest game I've played in the last year or two. The added features include being able to buy shares in developers or buy them outright, more control over your games (updating them as much as you want and even becoming a publisher in your own right), and much more control over your offices - unlike in Game Dev Tycoon, you actually build your own offices from scratch. But on the other hand, the UI is awful at times, it's easy to lock yourself into things you don't want to do with no way to go back, and managing employees is a nightmare in the endgame since upgrading buildings will mean manually assigning each and every single one of 50+ employees to their offices. All in all it's a solid 8/10, fun as fuck game but also hilariously broken at times. But despite the jank it managed to occupy every waking moment of the last 4 days for me, so it's safe to say it's a fun as fuck game. I'd still recommend it whole heartedly with the suggestion that you save often, not because it crashes often, but just in case you click x by accident and end up forced to either release a game with no improvements or bug fixes or delete it.
