Popular Post PooPooBlast
#185 and trophy #10,000 Like a Dragon: Ishin! (Trophy tile looks gorgeous btw) Have you ever asked yourself, what it would be like to play as Kiryu during the Bakamatsu period in the late 1800s? Well look no more! In Yakuza Ishin, you assume the role of a historical figure - Sakomoto Ryoma (aka kiryu), who goes on a quest to avenge his slain father-figure after a meeting goes awry. Without getting into the details, that signature Yakuza crime drama is there in full-force with recognizable cast members from previous games assuming the role of other important historical figures. Power struggles, betrayals, big dick contests (though no shirtless fights ), laughter, WTF moments, all the usual Yakuza shenanigans are there! As for the gameplay, Ryoma has access to 4 different fighting styles - the brawler (fist-fist combat), Swordmaster, gun and wild dancer (sword on one hand and gun in the other). There is great emphasis on stats and weapon types to choose with various buffs you can apply in the form of an enchanted seal (more on that below) to get an edge over an opponent. With Ishin Kiwami, there's also the trooper system which some weren't a fan of but I didn't mind and thought it was a welcome addition. Plus, I liked the throwbacks to the yakuza NPCs from previous games. Essentially, you have trooper cards allocated to the D-pad which when activated, grant a temporary boost of some sort or a special attack. Minigames: Ah yes the minigames. Only in Yakuza, can you spend hours betting on chicken races, being the best Buyo dancer in 1800s Nippon, singing your heart out to Ichizu Samurai and playing rock, paper and scissors with a prostitute . Oh yea - You must also partake in a bullet-hell style minigame with her, shooting away horny thoughts...literally! Music: RGG studios be like Just wanted to share some of my favourites here Spoiler I lowkey like this one because this guy is just a massive simp that appears in a sidestory for like 2 mins and gets an anime style battle theme xDD One of the arena themes! Trophies: It was all fun and games until the devs decided You gotta craft all 206 pieces of equipment which consists of swords, spears, guns, headgear, bodygear, gauntlets and seals (enchantment items). The materials to craft said equipment aren't found at all shops and therefore you must repeat particular dungeons 5000 times for a material you're looking for to drop. To think that the drop-rates were worse prior to a patch. *Shudders*. WTF RGG studios. The worst offender on that list is the seals which I won't even talk about because it's hard to explain without going into too much detail. To put things into perspective, I finished everything in the game by about 75ish hours. My final game time which was solely focused on the equipment was 104 hrs (Not counting the constant save scumming and reloads). So yea.. roughly 25-30 hours dedicated to crafting stuff :/. ---------------------------- All in all though, a very solid entry in the Like a dragon yakuza franchise. Great game but a mid yakuza game in my opinion. I'd put it above Yakuza 1, 3, 4, 7, dead souls and fist of the north star but below 0, 2, 5, 6, judgment and lost judgment. Well, onto the next one!

When I first played and completed it; It instantly became one of my top favorite games of all time and it is still one of my top favorite. I'm glad to have another chance to re-platinum this on my main PSN account and it's fairly easy, but time consuming list to complete. Fantastic game! Awesome screenshots too. Very hilarious moments

Popular Post MidnightDragon
#98 Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion This is a very charming, cute game that has an old school Zelda feel to it. Since April 15 is traditionally tax day in the US, thought it would be a fun one to do. However, due to some RNG while going for the final trophy, I didn't actually finish it on the 15th, but close enough. It definitely gave me some chuckles and was quite fun. It is pretty straightforward and nothing can be missed. I would recommend it.
Popular Post Jermster_91
#125 Lake Not what I was expecting. I expected this game to be similar to Tell Tale or Life is Strange where your decisions affect the outcome. Instead, most of the game is a postal delivery sim. Sure you meet other people that you can interact with but I thought it would gonna be something bigger, an experience which I didn't get. It is a easy enough platinum however so that is a bright spot.

Popular Post DesmaBR
THE FINISHIST Complete it! I've grown up watching AVGN. I would always watch his videos when they first debutted on gametrailers. His Action 52 video? I actually watched it back when it first released in 2009, and boy, what a classic. That cliffhanger at the end kept me in anticipation for months until I could finally see the cheetahmen. Not exactly a youtuber I'm dropping everything to watch their newest nowadays, but some of his newer videos are still pretty good. I still get a crack of his Amiga CD32 video every now and then. I was actually watching some other youtuber when they mentioned the AVGN game, and that made me look up the store page for it. I though "I'll just leave it on my wishlist, and buy it when it's on sale", but to my surprise, at that moment the game was on sale, so I picked it up. The game is surprisingly very neat. The difficulty is very cheap, but that's exactly what I would expect from this game. Something I did quite like is Perfecting stages; you need to beat every stage in the game without dying, and honestly, even on easy it's a good challenge. And surprisingly enough, this game can actually be quite funny. Actually got a few laughs out of me, which I wasn't expecting. like wtf, Grand Dad???????? The second game is a bit low on AVGN references, which is a bit dissapointing
Popular Post sillyrobo75
Tails of Iron Time to plat: 9h 30min Difficulty: 3/10 This plat kinda came naturally for me just from playing the game. After I finished the story, doing side stuff along the way too, I only needed to beat two side bosses, and find 4 or 5 collectibles. I played it on normal difficulty since I enjoy this type of games, and it provided a fairly challenging and fun experience for me, but for the plat one can play even on easy if one wants to, since there is no difficulty trophy. btw there is a dlc trophy that needs the player to beat the final boss on the highest difficulty. Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2975 Need For Speed Unbound Difficulty 3 / 10 or more, depending on your willpower Time 50 hrs After way too many Need for Speed games done by Ghost Games we finally get a Need For Speed from Criterion, however thats a shallow corpse of the company who did Burnout Paradise. And somehow, after the disappointments Payback and Heat were, I feel tricked again into buying a Need For Spees game. The experience isn't different: I have been disappointed again. The elephant in the room: the terrible choice of adding celshading to the graphics, giving the otherwise pretty game a comic look nobody asked for. Characters and effects are cel shaded and it isn't a pretty sight. This NfS' location, Lakeshore, is clearly modeled after Chicago and filled with details, while lacking true panoramic views or creative locations like fake-Miami (Heat) or fake-Vegas (Payback), looks interesting enough. Its also filled with pedestrians for the first (or at least very long) time in a NfS, which happen to get in your way a lot but also teleport out of danger no matter how you are. This isn't Need For Speed Uncivilized, you can't run over people. What you can and will instead is bumping and crashing into other cars, the NPC traffic gets random in a while and causes some unnecessary crashes for you, like when the delivery truck tries a U-turn on the freeway. Outside of the races you also don't see any other racers, but an army of police cars. Lakeshore definetly didn't defund its police force, however they could have since they are no threat to you, giving the lack of means to stop you. Instead they are annoying, waiting for you many times close to the hideout where you can bank your money but not enter if you're chased. Chases take forever until the cops run out of steam, they never arrested me during my journey to the platinum. There is also a feature that adds inconsistency to the objects you can or cannot crash through, like most trees are obstacles but some will stop you, same as bars, fences or other things - you will learn whats good for wall-hugging or not the hard way. Story mode offers a less cineastic story like Payback and seems to fit on a Magic card, like scribbled down after someone saw one or two Fast & Furious movies. However the characters were less annoying than the actors in 2015's NfS, yet still cringey. Rivals tease you during races and make it personal, which was fun. Your big bad guy is only mentioned by name and never shown, thats okay, it means less cringe. Whats also in the story mode is the aggressive boringness in the first half: you earn little money, have a hard time getting upgrades and you need to save up for the starting fee of the qualifier, over the course of one week with a day and night cycle. A progession roadblock at the end because you can get upgrades and better cars after you qualified for the next week. Its getting easier during the third and fourth week though. There is no pressure in winning all races, you can finish third or fourth, only the qualifiers demand a first place for progress. This saves time and nerves since you don't need to perfect every event. My time in B and A tier took forever. Luckily if you find all teddy bear collectibles and street art you get rewarded with OP cars, making the races significantly easier. The aforementioned problems during traffic give you less Fahrvergnügen for your money, though. There is also no teleporting on the map which means you have to drive to every event, and you can only pick races currently available for that day and time - this added one hour to my playtime because I had to wait for a specific takeover event. Need For Speed Time Wasted. Online is better done with a boosting partner since is as chaotic as usual, and your earnings and car pool are seperated from what you got in Story mode. That being said, Need For Speed Unwanted has a surprisingly easy platinum, thanks to the poor late game content. Buy two or three good cars (the Countach and the Silvia K 98 in my case), max them out and tweak a little bit (pushing your drift cars' drift steering to the max) and you can crush all speed or drift zones. Collectibles are also surprisingly fun to collect. In addition you have a reasonable amount to customize your car, but not as deep as NfS veterans hoped it to be. Need For Speed Unbound gives you the thrill of driving dangerously but is held back by too many questionable design choices. You have to cut a lot of fat to get to the games' meat, but you will hardly find that filet piece.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Graveyard Keeper (+100%) Collect all Trophies Collect all Trophies Not scary, but still makes you soil your plants. Graveyard Keeper is a 16-bit farming/multitasking/building game, kinda like Harvest Moons. And you dig graves. And bury bodies. And remove their brains, skulls, skins and all before dumping them six feet under. Because you are the Keeper of the graveyard, and by god keep it you will! This game keeps you busy every second of the way. It's overwhelming at first, but luckily you can do everything at your own pace. There's never a straight line from task A to task B. At minimum there's mini tasks C,D,E,F and G that you have to do first. This makes GK addictive as hell. I was so hooked on it, it was not even funny anymore (yes it was, it was goddamn hilarious). Besides million things going on at the same time, there's also a surprisingly thought out story to be found. Especially if you play the DLC's too. Things go from light hearted to tragic pretty fast. Worth every penny. Dialogue and graphics have a strong Secret of Monkey Island vibe going on, which is never wrong. The only thing that bothered me some was the stuttering that happens every dozen seconds or so. I don't know the technical reasons for it, but it's annoying to watch screen freeze in the middle of button inputs. Despite moving like in a 70's disco with strobe lights turned to the max, I enjoyed the hell out of it. Graveyard Keeper is awesome in (almost) every way possible, you'll most likely love it to death "When I die, bury me upside down so the world can kiss my ass."
Popular Post x7251
#78 - Mirror's Edge Great game. The graphics hold up very well for a 2008 game, and the gameplay is great. The Speedrun trophies are the hardest part of getting the platinum trophy, but it's possible with enough practice, map memorization, and Youtube guides.

Popular Post Wilde_Flowers
#2 The Medium (Personal) Platinum Difficulty: 1/10 Time to Complete: PS5 says 9hrs (but that's with a lot of afk)Rating: 6/10 While i was pretty hyped in the early hours, the atmosphere/vibe felt on point, the story felt interesting, it all crumbled down after some more hours. Stealth sections became tedious, story became a bit predictable and everything felt like i was playing a 3rd person Layers of Fear game. Also the split/screen dimension thing while it was a nice gimmick, it ended up being just that...a gimmick. Gonna need a big dose of copium now for the upcoming SH2 Remake.
Popular Post Wurstmann69
#64 - Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV Difficulty 3/10 Enjoyment: 1/10 Time to plat: 15h I was hyped for a fishing game in VR. In my head that sounded like a perfect combination for a chill gameplay. Unfortunately is the game buggy as hell which alsmost made it unplayeable for me. For example during the last "Bossfight" in the story where you fight a huge demon fish with your crossbow (No, I am serious), a pitch black Void occured on the left VR screen. So I had to finish the fight without 3D sight as I could only see with my right eye. Near the end of the fight both screens went black and I wasn't able to see anything. When I rapidly shook my head the vision came back for a brief second... It was aweful. Then there are missions where you have to catch between 6 and 20 of the same kind of fish. The longest one took me almost 45 minutes and when I completed the mission the game got stuck in the next loading screen until I restarted the whole game. Happened to me twice. Both times in these longer missions. Over all the fishing was ok. You play in six different areas where you have to catch every kind of fish. Each area has 5 or so fishing spots where you can walk to and cast your fishing lure. You aim and throw via motionsense in your controller. Which worked good when the controller light was in a line of sight to the camera, if not it was not working at all. When you managed to get a bite the real pain of the game starts and I am speaking of a real physical pain... In my left thumb. You have to rotate the left stick furiously to get the fish out of the water. I did that around 500 times. Was a good feeling when I could finally uninstall the game after around 15 hours.
