Popular Post RotatingCube
#135 Untitled Goose Game I was actually aware of this game when it went viral during its initial release but never got a chance to experience it. Beyond the novelty of playing a goose, the game itself is actually pretty good and a bit unique. It's sort of a mashup between a non -violent stealth game and a puzzler. The game is short but that's not a surprise since it's an indie game from a company with only four people. If they ever create a sequel. I wouldn't mind playing that.

Popular Post Valzentia
#165 - Dance Dance Revolution Difficulty: 8/10 Fun: 10/10 I have been playing DDR for years on PS2, Wii, and in arcades, but I never had the chance to play this one until now. Having been an avid player for over a decade it was quite easy to pick up and I think my prior experience helped a lot (in addition to countless sleepless nights) in getting the platinum faster than I imagine most people have. By sleepless nights I mean the first night I played it I played for 20 straight hours, and then I planned a last minute trip over to Georgia so I did an impromptu 26 hour long session to try and get the plat before I left...and I just barely made it before I had to hop off. The gameplay didn't change much outside of the PlayStation Move modes, which also helped me pick it up really easily, but goddamn is this the weirdest soundtrack i've ever seen in a DDR title. Jason Mraz, Train, and a lot of slower-paced songs that aren't very danceable to me...which just violated all logic to me considering every other game I played prior to this had far more danceable "slow" songs. Perhaps it was Konami's attempt to take some ground back from the inferior monster that is Ubisoft's Just Dance?
Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2950 Meet Your Maker (PS5 version) Difficulty 3,5/10 Time: 33 hrs Fun: 8,5/10 If you have played Dead by Daylight before, then you might know how Behaviour Interactive works with their games, pushing out a lot of content filled with bugs and trophy glitches. Not so Meet Your Maker, their newest game which keeps the asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay, but in a whole different way. From DBD's toxic community to Meet Your Maker's toxic wasteland, you play as the custodian, searching in tombs, dungeons and buildings for GenMat (the game's MacGuffin) to feed a fetus in a tube called The Chimera, which is the last hope for dying mankind, though personally I felt this being like a false prophet. Turns out these places to go aren't abandoned at all, and the valuable GenMat is protected by mutant guards and traps, in a hostile environment. That being said, not only do you have to extract the GenMat and escape these so-called outposts, you also get your chance to build your own outposts to torture other scavengers. Meet Your Maker comes with a limited content at the start: you have two different firearms, one (two with DLC) melee weapon, two (three with DLC) suits and a handful of gadgets, of which the grenades and the grappling hook for fast traverse are used the most. But while it's a first-person shooter, you won't be running-and-gunning all the way through the corridors, since you die in one-hit, but so do the enemies unless they're armored, and even then a head-shot still seals their fate. Ammo is scarce but you can recollect your projectiles (your suit's upgrades contain abilities that makes that easier). There aren't many differrent traps but some outposts utilize them to make your life miserable, with some players using deception, raw numbers or well-placed combinations with the environment, such as close to the deadly acid blocks. Still, every outpost follows a rule that there must be a direct path to the GenMat and a way back, it cannot be blocked. This is shown by an AI creature named The Harvester (think of a demented lovechild between the Companion Cube and Deep Rock Galactic's Mule) that walks to the Genmat and out again at slow pace, serving as pathfinder for the Custodian with the habit of getting in your way - unless you kill him or he gets killed. Likewise, the four different enemy types (your this year's summer collection of mutants) cannot activate any trap but can be killed by them once the Custodian activates it. With the rule of having a path for the Harvester this means there isn't much space for platforming your way to the GenMant - you have to be able to follow your companion. That's something to consider how much variety you expect from the game. There are three color-coded currencies, of which one is rare, but with the right setup you can harvest the most out of your scavenges. A good source is having built a successful outpost by yourself - deadly enough to kill other raiders but entertaining enough for them to come back. Meet Your Maker's tools are based on a block system which allow you to be creative enough to build some fascinating outposts. One outpost I visited was a church while others looked like a circus tent, a shanty-town or something that fits more into 1980s science-fiction (second season of Tripods for example). Graphics are okay, but not latest-gen tier. There is a lack of music (though still present), mostly due to the fact that you need a keen ear to locate enemies, the Harvester, or Forgotten Tombs for extra loot. On my journey to the platinum I saw myself in dozens, if not over hundred outposts, with maybe two or three being annoying enough to quit them. Otherwise I was happy to see so much variety in the ways people want to see you dead. I built five outposts, of which the first one (more like a pit crowded with enemies) killed 900 raiders, but I am honestly not a builder, same as Minecraft or LittleBigPlanet. Still, you are forced to have a minimum amount of defense, so you will never have a cakewalk, but also no infamous 1-second H4H levels. There is a bit of grind towards the end (upgrading your suit to the max or getting seven augmentations for your guards are likely the last two trophies) but the game kept me interested enough for 33 hours over the course of three days. Online trophies are coop-based an can be done in under 30 minutes (thanks to @Sikutai for helping me). FPS skills are helpful but not necessary, you can carefully plan each step, check all blocks for hidden traps or run through the outposts with no regrets, it might work. You can restart as many times as you want, and each of your death is shown as a tombstone in that outpost's builder. If you quit, you keep your earned XP and resources, but no GenMat which is needed to upgrade your Chimera and the five equipment dealers in your base. I enjoyed the game more than expected, especially the trailer does a terrible job at advertising it, making it look like a PS3 game with sub-par Red Faction graphics. For free you can't do anything wrong, and Behaviour has shown a roadmap for more content coming this year. Meet Your Maker is also on PS4 but I am not sure how trophies transfer or progress between both versions. PS5's trophies just worked fine.

Popular Post Biscoito18
#161 - Wytchwood Platinum Potion Platinum in 2 days, 4 hours Rarity: 41.06% (Uncommon) Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 A fun and cute game of pure crafting that gets a little tiring and repetitive towards the end, but I recommend it. #162 - Ghostwire: Tokyo Ghostwire Tokyoite Platinum in 2 weeks, 1 day Rarity: 29.84% (Uncommon) Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 My first PS5 platinum! I loved Tango Gameworks' last two games (The Evil Within 1 and 2) and Ghostwire didn't let me down. I loved the atmosphere of the empty city bathed in a red moon, the yokai, the excellent creature design (Tango's specialty), the freedom of exploration and even the countless collectibles. In the end, I wish there was more. The main plot is simple but the side quests are great, and the combat is repetitive but stylish. Still I enjoyed every second of it. #163 - Resident Evil 3 (PS5) So Long, RC Platinum in 2 weeks, 2 days Rarity: 51.88% (Common) Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Following a tradition started by chance in 2009 when I bought my PS3, my second platinum of a new generation is always from a Resident Evil, my favorite series. It's my second time unlocking RE3 platinum and by coincidence it ended up being exactly on the third anniversary of the game's release. I love these coincidences. The original RE3 is still my favorite of the series so, for me this remake was disappointing but still a beautiful and fun game. #164 - Stray (PS5) All Done Platinum in 2 weeks, 3 days Rarity: 30.81% (Uncommon) Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 My second time unlocking Stray's platinum and my second time facing the infamous "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy. Just like the first time, it took me over 30 tries. So irritating. The rest of the game is wonderful and I hope the sequel doesn't take too long.
Popular Post No longer here
#193 - Resident Evil 4 (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 60 Hours PSNP Rarity: 8.47% PSN Rarity: 0.8% MY GOTY FOR SURE! I never played the OG but this is without a doubt one of the best experiences I had in a while. They say this is Capcom's masterpiece, and I have to agree with it. This shows the mastery of mechanics, design and combat that was also shown in Devil May Cry 5. The game is fun from the start and it stays that way. The gunplay, parry, and enemies are fun to mess around with, and the game can be goofy as hell sometimes which shows how self-aware the game actually is. The level design, the pacing and the variety of enemies makes the game standout for sure, the difficulty is just right, bosses are good imo, the OST is a banger is some parts, and it does have some of the RE horror in certain chapters of the game. The story is nothing crazy but it is fun to follow at least. You can tell a lot games like Dead Space and Evil Within get their ideas from this game. It is a remake but it still shows how survival horror evolved during the Gamecube/PS2 days! Another thing I have to say about this game is that I never got bored, despite the 6 playthroughs I did for the platinum. Now tell me what other game can maintain that quality and fun factor for so long? (DMC5 is another example) Yes the game is not perfect, there are flaws but the good completely almost negates the bad. Yes Ada VA is bad lol but funny, the whale fight is the same as the original, it is pretty much very linear, not that its bad thing as it helps the pacing. The story can be just be uninteresting sometimes, Ashley while she is likeable, she has the same exact screams everytime she gets grabbed lol. Also would like to mention that the game focuses more on gameplay than horror, and imo it is a great thing, but I can understand that someone would want it to be more horror-based. Yes this is pretty much nitpicking but now you understand how hard it is to find a problem with the game. As a Capcom game, the game wants you to play it multiple times on multiple difficulties going for the highest rank possible. Speedruns are especially fun in this game because there are many skips, strategies and even glitches that make the game so much fun and much more replayable! Capcom knew what they were doing when they were designing this game, but we have to keep in mind that the core is from its' 2005 version. One day I will play the OG and will still be impressed on how timeless it is. So yeah, buy the game if you want to play a peak game and probably the best Resident evil game of all time. Mercenaries is fun too!

Was fun to do again other than the annoying no hit trophies which I sucked at worse than before. Lol. u actually prefer Super to New. Super has Lucky run on all fours, it adds significant personality that is absent in this version. Gameplay is slightly better in New but not enough to make up for less personality. But at least there’s no insane grind trophy for coins like Super, that made me want to die. Much better trophy list here. Wasn’t sure what to do the milestone as, but I love Lucky so he works.

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #1102 Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered PS5 Common: 63.03% Difficulty: 3/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 10/10. Music: 9/10. Story Mode: 10/10. Trophy Progression: Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered 100% Completed. Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Open World, Stealth, Murder, Death, Crime, Hack and Slash and Beat em up. Grind Difficulty: 8/10. Platinum Time: 5 days and 11 hours. Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered Summary. This has been quite the huge and fantastic experience when playing the remastered version. I honestly gonna say I really love the quality refinement and the ray tracing effect when begins very quickly. This has been quite the workout for me and going smoothly when playing the game nicely. I'm fine with the new face of Peter Parker and I have no complaints nor bitching about it whatsoever. Story mode was excellent and best gameplay I have ever seen. I still do feel the nostalgic vibe and everything else was perfect. I really feel the electricity and goosebumps when facing the toughest bosses on Ultimate Difficulty and New Game + and both on DLC so to speak. To be honest I feel better already. Skill Sets and Buffing Up My Gadgets and Skills Included. During my gameplay in the open world, It really took a small toll effect on me when maxing out everything on my skills for my Spider-Man power-up and my Gadgets as well. Having those like that really comes in handy when your stuck in the position or getting boxed in by enemies that surrounding you. It is still a good thing to have a better chance at grasping and knocking out enemies at the same time. It made me feel really good and pretty much fucking everything up and yeah it was fun for me and no shaming about it. It was a small hassle but nothing major for me nonetheless. Story Mode DLC's Summary Explanation. I have enjoyed the DLC's pack and taking on it's triple experience out of the 3 of em. The Heist, Turf Wars and Silver Lining. The Heist was very good and it was a good starting experience when playing the first round DLC pack. I still do feel it's really not that bad and chewing up the easy trophies and it was really impressive. Turf Wars was slightly better then The Heist itself and challenges like the Turf Wars was good enough for me but hey it's still a fun DLC on round two and nothing itself is bad or anything like that at all. Finally the Silver Lining. Well in it's final round on Silver Lining, it was much better then I expected and Hammerhead going half human was weird for me but he's a weak ass boss and fried him to pieces. Platinum Trophy! Well I Am Half Naked and Great Ass! I Heart Manhattan Trophy! Screwballed Trophy! A Suit For All Seasons Trophy! Power and Responsibility Trophy! Highly and strongly recommend for this game! Popular Post KaganDraka4
On 4/2/2023 at 11:26 PM, Undead Wolf said: #444 - Resident Evil 4 Cuz Boredom Kills Me Obtain all trophies. I'll preface this by saying that the original RE4 is one of my all-time favourite games. I've probably played through it at least a dozen times over the years. This remake was never going to replace that original game I hold so dearly, but I will say that I was very impressed by this modern adaptation. I think where it really succeeds is in its gameplay (at least for the most part). You can still do the cool melee attacks from the original when an enemy has been stunned (even the suplex made it in!), but they also added to it with stuff like being able to sneak up behind an enemy and stealth kill them, parry enemy attacks with your knife (really satisfying when you pull it off), and of course you can now move AND shoot. ? It feels awesome to play. Best combat in an RE game yet! I was a little disappointed that the laser sights can only be used with a few weapons unlike the original where it's on every gun, but that's a minor gripe really. What isn't a minor gripe though is what they did to Ashley. I'm not talking about her new design or personality which I actually quite like, but rather her AI. They made her much more unpredictable in the remake. She no longer sticks right behind you like she did in the original even when I've commanded her to do so, and that makes running past enemies extremely difficult. This isn't something you'll really notice on the lower difficulties (I barely even noticed Ashley was there on my first playthrough on Standard), but she was the bane of my existence when playing on Professional mode. I lost track of number of times I failed because of her, either because she got grabbed a mile away from me which made me have to turn around and run after her recklessly, or she'd run in front of me when I'm shooting or throwing a grenade. This wouldn't be so much of an issue if they kept the "wait" command from the original game, but someone at Capcom in all their wisdom decided to replace that with a "hang back" command instead where she still follows you just at a greater distance. Totally useless. I feel like Ashley's knight armour is pretty much a requirement on higher difficulties to stop her being a problem. At least it is if you want to stay sane. But anyways, you can put your combat skills to the test in the shooting range which has also seen an overhaul. That bonus round music is a banger! ? Instead of winning bottlecaps like in the original which were just for show, in the remake, you can earn tokens instead. These tokens can be used on a gachapon that reward you with charms of different rarities which is another addition to this game. You equip them to your case and they give you various bonuses like increased ammo from crafting, more health gained from herbs, etc. It helps add to the replayability since it's randomized each playthrough what you'll get. I also loved what they did with the merchant. They expanded on the medallion hunt from the original game to make it a while merchant request system throughout the game. Not just medallion hunts, but also stuff like killing an optional "miniboss", or selling him X number of snakes, etc. He'll reward you with spinels for completing these tasks which can be used on a seperate menu to get some cool items, so it's worth doing. For all this game does right though, where it disappoints the most is in the character interactions and the personalities of the different antagonists. Gone are most of the codec conversations in the original which is where a lot of the hilarious dialogue was from. It feels like something major is missing when you don't have Saddler and Salazar shit-talking you over in the codec calls. Hell, you don't even see Saddler at all until much later in the game which is weird given how he's supposed to be the main antagonist. Even in cutscenes, all the characters in this just feel a lot more bland. We still get some cheesy one-liners from Leon, but it's nowhere near as often or as funny as it was in the original. I'm also not a fan of what they did with Ada. Her voice acting is pretty bad. It's a night and day difference when you compare her to the original VA. I mentioned earlier that I liked what they did with Ashley's personality, but I think they went a little too hard into the whole "stronk independent woman thing". Like I'm supposed to be this badass government agent here to save you. ? One character who they definitely improved upon though is Luis. They gave him a lot more screen time and development which I was really happy to see. I just wish Leon warmed up to him a little more in this. I really enjoyed going for the platinum in this game. There's the typical stuff you would expect like getting all the collectibles, completing all merchant requests, etc. Then you have the trophies that put some restrictions on you best saved for a NG+ run. So stuff like competing the game without using a healing item, use only a handgun and knife, and beat the game without talking to the merchant. I decided to combine those 3 into one playthrough on the Assisted difficulty, and apart from a few annoying encounters with the dogs and novistadores, it wasn't so bad. One of the weapon unlocks you need for a trophy is tied to beating Professional difficulty on a fresh save without using bonus weapons which is the most difficult part of the plat. I decided to make it harder on myself though and go for the S+ rank which unlocks the S+ rank trophies for the Standard and Hardcore difficulties. To get S+ rank on Professional, you need to beat the game in under 5 hours and 30 minutes while using 15 or fewer saves. I won't go into that too much since I talked about it in a recent status I made, but this proved to be pretty damn stressful, especially since I wasted a bit too much time in the village section and my poor save planning meant that I had to replay some sections quite a lot. Getting S+ rank on Professional without using bonus weapons isn't required for the plat, but it does cut down o the number of playthroughs you have to do. Still probably took longer though given how many times I died, but I'm still glad I took this more difficult route. It felt really satisfying when I actually pulled it off. Great way to end my plat journey. ? This remake does have some problems, especially when it comes to the characters like I mentioned, but there's a lot to like about it too. I had an absolute blast with it and I commend Capcom because you can tell a lot of love went into this remake. Still, there's only one true RE4 in my eyes, and that's the original. When I'm in the mood to replay RE4 again, I'll be sticking with the 2005 version. #269 - Resident Evil 4 Cuz Boredom Kills Me Obtain all trophies. Difficulty: 4/10 Duration: 20-30 hours Enjoyment: 10/10 Quality: 9.5/10 Almost everything @Undead Wolf stated is what makes this game my personal GOTY. At first, my GOTY pick was Dead Space, but when this masterpiece of a game came out, it felt like I was playing the OG RE4 again for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Capcom put in an insane amount of love, care, quality, and detail in to this game. You can definitely tell that this was a passion project right off the bat and it was a home run and then some! Minor gripes I want to add on top of @Undead Wolf's complaints: - Getting rid of laser sights and giving most of the weapons aiming/crosshair bloom even while standing still sucks which makes the shooting range and fighting certain enemies on consoles a serious pain in the ass. - Ashley can be dumb as hell sometimes. When told to hang back/spread out she'll sometimes literally run in front your sights which can accidentally lead you to shoot/kill her depending on what kind of weapon you're using and where you shot her. - Decent portions of interactions, personalities, and conversations are long gone which kinda sucks. Yup, Ada's VA is downright terrible and they had to hire the actress from the atrocious RE:WTRC live-action movie who can't act for jack and had a very small repertoire in her acting career, she's definitely a diversity hire. I'm Asian myself, dabbled in the acting scene, and I know shoddy/soulless acting when I see it. Felt like she either didn't want to be there and/or the acting director made her say her lines that way. Now, she's crying racism and privilege after being harassed online which I don't condone, but I lost all respect for her when she resorted to the Disney method of excuse/gaslighting. Professional difficulty tips: - SAVE 2 GOLDEN EGGS!!! Salazar will die when hit by 2 of these making this annoying boss fight into a joke in less than 10 seconds, saving A LOT of time. - ARMORED ASHLEY IS A MUST!!! - KNOW ALL THE SHORTCUTS, SPEEDRUN TRICKS, AND GLITCHES!!! Knowing these will save SIGNIFICANT amount of time and give you the time you seriously need to grab some treasures and complete requests for the upgrade ticket and pesetas. Had almost 30 minutes to spare using the glitches. If I didn't use them, I might have gone over the time limit. -BUY THE SINGLE-USE ROCKET LAUNCHER FOR SADDLER!!! One shot anywhere to his body will end the fight immediately to the special rocket launcher phase, meaning you can skip the RNG Novistador bull$#!+ phase, saving you time and agony. Personal Note: -The Mercenaries mode is HANDS DOWN THE BEST VERSION OF THIS MODE IN THE ENTIRE SERIES!!! It's crazy fun and everyone is awesome in their own way. Also, it's pretty darn fun and easy to S++ in every stage with everyone! Highly recommend you unlock the Handcannon via this way rather than Professional with no bonus weapon, you'll have a literal blast that way. - The Deluxe Weapons, Luis AI co-op, and certain puzzle elements in this game are OBVIOUSLY SCREAMING RE0, RE1, RE:CVX, RE5, and RE6 remake with these in mind. Possibly an RE2 and RE3 Director's Cut because Skull Shaker shotgun should've been in RE3 Remake and I feel like Capcom is taunting/screwing with us. Not to mention, when I see the Novistadors, that's what the Drain Deimos/Brain Suckers should've been. Ironic that the team responsible for the RE3 Remake developed the island segment because they made the worst part of the original game actually great in the remake.
