Popular Post Dantes_994
VOICE OF CARDS: THE ISLE DRAGON ROARS Ruler of the Dragon's IsleEarned all trophies. PLAT NO.30 (HELL YEAH!) FUN: 10/10 DIFFICULTY: BOTH 3/10 AND 10/10 What a charming surprise this game turned out to be! I loved every second of it, from start to finish! It's not that rich on character development and the world building is sub par but that's not why you're here. The humor alone is enough the price of admission while the music is... WOW! The soundtrack is so magical and so emotional that I swear there's more character development and subtext in it than the actual story and character stories. It's just so relaxing and fun to roam around, going from story beat to story beat while enjoying the soundtrack. It's really the main character of the game and I cannot wait to play the other games in teh series! Having said that, if you are here for the usual Yoko Taro experience of heavy storytelling, it's not a game for you. But I didn't mind, what's on offer is magical! Also, the plat, is incredibly easy and you'll get most trophies by just playing the game... except for the secret potion trophy. FUCK THAT TROPHY! I'm not that into trophy hunting and I wont do it if I find a certain trophy too irritating or impossible, I jsut do it for fun, like One Punch man. But this trophy, which was hte last before the plat, had me pulling my hair. Aside from that bit I fully recommend the game!
Popular Post PakaloloPlant
Platinum 28 - This Is What We Do A underrated yet great game that’s straightforward and fun to play with an easy platinum. It sucks it didn’t get a sequel. I’d recommend it to everyone and those who want a break from platinums that are grind consuming or high difficulty. Popular Post Darghel
#191: Tormented Souls (Gametitle II: the revenge) Difficulty: starts out pretty difficult, but gets much easier later on Time to Complete: 15 hours (3 playthroughs) Recommended: Yes Total score: 8.5/10 I really wanted to play another Horror game after playing Signalis a while ago, but one that wasn't a jumpscare-fest and had some cool puzzles and horror elements like in the good days, I recalled having this in my list. And of course, I thought to give it a try since Resident Evil (The older ones) are still some of my favorite games of all time. And so I went in, knowing full well what I would get...and then I got smashed into the wall by how difficult the game was! Wow wasn't expecting my first fight with my first enemy to almost kill me! Let's start from the beginning, however. Tormented Souls - or TS from now on - it's a horror game inspired by the classics such as Resident Evil (fixed camera, optional tank control, limited saves etc) and Silent Hill (demonic themes, unlimited inventory, Alternate reality, etc) and takes what makes them amazing and greatly improves them. For starters, the graphics are quite amazing and they did a great job at recreating the "Mansion" from Resi 1, but this time it's a hospital, but also having a lot of nudges and hints at Silent Hill. It's a great mix and I loved it, especially in later areas where it gets even creepier! The theme is more on the Occult than "biohazard" so you'll basically fight against demon spawns and the likes, which are definitely worth your attention: these enemies are tough as NAILS (Get it? because your main weapon is a nail gun) and if you're not careful they can easily wipe you out in no time! It also doesn't help that your ammo is incredibly sparse and a normal enemy can sometimes take up to 6 or 7 shots to take down...then you have to use your crowbar to finish them off because they are probably alive! And the fact that you also have extremely limited saves (Even Resident Evil had more ink ribbons!) and the best healing items are also very rare and extremely limited (I think there are only 7 in the entire game?) this makes the game quite a tough challenge for beginners and even vets like me who can regularly play old RESI games on hard difficulties still had my butt kicked from time to time! Add some great puzzles that actually require some thinking (My favorite is the monkey riddle), as well as some proper item examinations, some spooky dark areas that actually can kill you, and a couple of endings that requires you to get through an optional area, I can safely say that I had a blast with this one and it's definitely a game I recommend. There are a few flaws sure: the story it's probably its weakest point and, I am not joking here, me and my sister literally figured out everything from the FIRST PICTURE we got, and we also figured out who the real villain was...I mean okay even RESI games had no masterpieces of stories but at least we were engaged! We wanted to see who was who and there was a little bit of mystery in it, although nothing amazing mind you. TS feels like it doesn't even try, it doesn't even bother being subtle and before you know it you feel disappointed knowing that "oh crap, I was right from the start". That's really a shame honestly... Also the difficulty itself, while it gets easier later, that's mainly because of certain enemies that can ruin your day: the Spitters are the most common enemies you'll find and they're fast, but overall weak so it checks out...but they're also the only ones who shoot at you from long range and their damage is not exactly low! These are the enemies that would damage me the most as their shot is incredibly precise! Surprisingly, once they're replaced with Sliders and even Slashers, it gets incredibly easy because they're much slower and don't have long range attacks. Talk about frustrating! Trophy wise, this game is overall simple, it requires some exploration to get some files and the true ending, but unfortunately it has a speedrun trophy (which is not hard to be honest: my second and third run took me only 2 hours each) a no-heal run (which is a lot harder due to the spitters above mentioned) and a no-save run. I initially planned to do all 3 + the bad ending to get my final trophies and the platinum but I had to save or risk dying and lose 50 minutes of run...kinda regret it now but at least my final run, which was a no save run, only took me 2 hours and thanks to the triple nail gun I was able to kill a lot of enemies easier. Bottom line, I highly recommend this one: it's tough and has some unfair moments BUT its puzzles are great and the atmosphere is creepy and its enemies just as scary as they are frustrating to deal with. If you're into old styled horror games then this game is for you! Edited July 23, 2023 by Darghel
Popular Post OakfieldPark
#52 Synapse My second PSVR2 platinum. So. Damn. Fun. This game is pretty much what I imagined I was doing while playing in the park as a kid - picking bad guys up with telekenisis, flinging them around and also shooting dudes with SMGs and grenade launchers. The use of eye-tracking in this is so good, the telekenisis part of combat uses it to know which objects you want to "force grip" so it's just a case of looking at the box/grenade/helpless goon and pulling them in or away or over a cliff or crushing them against the ceiling all with a hand gesture - full evil sith lord style. Even with a large gunfight happening in front of you and many explosions the game is still pin-point accurate at knowing exactly which object you want to grab or catch in the air. Scrolling through menus just by looking at them isn't getting old any time soon either. Once you get comfortable with the combat you really feel like an Akira-level OP superhuman. The haptic feedback on the controller triggers are great for the guns too. As far as downsides, I do wish there was more of it but it is a roguelike game so kinda designed to replay the same levels which get increasingly more difficult while also getting stronger and gaining different abilities. Zero bugs, glitches or lags. Also David Hayter is the main voice actor in this, Solid Snake himself. There's just a lot of great things to this game. So fun to platinum.
Popular Post Gooboid
Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex I'm surprised the platinum rate for this is so low! The relics are a little tricky but after a few attempts they're nothing special. Solid platforming fun, and I'm looking forward to continuing the rest of the trilogy before starting on the 4th installment.
Popular Post Megahiro10
#96: Final Fantasy XVI Difficulty: 3/10Fun: 9/10 Time: 70 hours I had so much fun with Final Fantasy XVI! It is now in my Top 5 Final Fantasy games. The ending had me crying so much. The platinum trophy is quite easy, especially when using the AutoDodge ring. I rushed through the NG+/FF mode skipping all the cutscenes. I just wish the FF mode was a bit harder. I got all the ability trophies through my normal playthrough as I experimented with the Eikons a lot. The chronotrials are a lot of fun and the Odin one is quite difficult. A lot of the trophies are earned by playing every content there is in the game. (You should do it either way cause a lot of the side content is very good). My plat screen is very cool but I put it in spoilers cause it's the final boss/scene. Popular Post kkulifay
Sackboy (PS5) My new favorite platformer of all time now! I played co-op with my son for half of it until it started to get more challenging. Then, I either hosted with randoms or paired with players on this site. Popular Post Gooboid
Fallout: New Vegas There's nothing I can say about this game that hasn't already been said. However, my primary takeaway from this playthrough is how unplayable the game is for PlayStation users. I started this playthrough five years ago via streaming and it was virtually unplayable. I opted for the Ultimate Edition on disc to continue my completion of the Fallout series. This was not much better. I was forced to load an earlier save file around five times as things were simply unplayable. I'm talking dropping to 0.1FPS levels of unplayable, here. I'm glad to have finally got this finished as it was the nostalgia-fueled enjoyment that I experienced with 3. If you need to play this, forget about the trophies and play it on PC. Here's to starting Fallout 76 at some point in the next few days/weeks/months!
Popular Post shadaik
#91 Playstation Vita Pets Best Friends Forever In a dystopian future, humans have disappeared, remaining are the ruins of our buildings and mere invisible echoes of our own existence roaming the world with the sole purpose of tending the neediest bunch of puppies the infernal adoption center managed to spew out. Oh, and the puppies talk. To the point were in some sections I would just switch off the sound on my Vita (showering is especially agonizing). Yeah, that one was not fun. I can't tell you what my dog was named because after not recognizing what I said a few times, I started cussing at the mic and that was what the game picked up as a name. Not that the pooch's name is ever relevant to anything. It's basically a tiny 2nd person rpg featuring a dog that is constantly dirty, poops everywhere and eats and drinks the hairs of its owner's head. So, 10/10 as a dog simulator. The world is gradually explored using abilities that take far too long to level up in monotonous minigames. Thing is, I think there's a fun game in here and maybe half a year more of development time would have helped make this a great game and start an ongoing franchise. It is fairly unique. But, alas, this was killed as a franchise (and a good game in itself) by rushed development and halfbaked gameplay. Shame, really. Did not know I had this, found it when going through an old cupboard. I think I got it in the last days of the Vita on sale for like 5 euros. So I can't complain too much. But I'm not letting that stop me. Fun: 4/10 Length: 4/10 Platinum: 2/10

Popular Post Tyrannius
#169 for me was Resident Evil 4 (PS5). https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/21539-resident-evil-4/Tyrannius I've loved the Resident Evil series since the original 4 mixed up the formula, and the remake is no exception. It's a good thing I do love it, because I had to complete six playthroughs of the game to get the platinum. I probably could have done it in 5, but the "no healing" trophy sounded like a pain combined with any of the others, so I saved it for last. Even with the big time investment, I enjoyed it all.

Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
187 - Spyro the Dragon Owned this as a kid, was a pleasure to go back and 100% it now like I never did then. This trilogy of remakes has to be some of the most vibrant and beautiful games I’ve ever played. They’re like candy for my eyes. The flying levels were kind of annoying but didn’t take too many tries overall, and I guess they did add some variation to the gameplay. Trying to decide if I should do the sequel straight away or something different in between. 188 - Twisted Metal PS5 I remember thinking this was good as a kid, I didn’t think so as much now lol in my opinion this doesn’t hold up very well compared to some other ps1 games. Also dislike trophy lists that expect you to finish the game 12 times as well, yes I know you can use a cheat code to skip to the last level (which I now have memorized from entering it 11 times lol ) and yes, you only have to play through the entire game once that way, which is what I did. Still for all beating that last level 12 times was quite repetitive. Don’t think I will do the ps4 version of this as I didn’t enjoy it enough to merit that, but I will go on to Twisted Metal 2. If my memory serves me correctly, it’s better then the first in every way. Edited July 25, 2023 by Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
