Popular Post tommeyliang
#75 & #76: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS4/PS5) Earned my 75th and 76th platinum trophies through Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. My second Yakuza game that I've ever platinumed (Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name was my first); no stranger to the Yakuza series as I've played almost every one of them except for Yakuza 3 and 4. Infinite Wealth improves so much from Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon) in terms of gameplay, quality of life such as demolishing lower-level mobs instantly, and intercity-traveling. I really enjoy how in combat you can position each character, do combo attacks with party members, and use environmental objects to deal damage. In addition being able to attack someone for extra damage when they're still down. Thought the story and OST were also great, but its prequel still wins for me. Character development was solid in this title and absolutely loved playing both parties for Yokohama and Hawaii. I also had fun developing Dondoko Island. Hope to see Infinite Wealth appear in some game awards categories at the end of the year. Overall: 9.5/10 and cannot wait for the next one whenever that releases.
Popular Post Redgrave
#310: Epic Cycle - Assassin's Creed: Odyssey After Origins I was aiming to play this eventually to see how the whole RPG formula went and despite hearing how this was a downgrade from Origins I feel like I actually liked this more than Origins and I think a part of that is you are seeing more than mostly desert and the way the Greek world is shown just felt really captivating. So captivating in fact that I wound up using the photo mode a lot more than I normally do. Really, there was just so many moments where I felt really lost in the scenery that I feel like you could take just about any screenshot and make it a wallpaper. A lot of areas are just beautiful to look at especially on the northern side of the map where you can see yellow leaves and other autumn colors that made me wish I was there in the moment. They did a fantastic job making the world look nice and detailed, even with me doing all the quests there were still areas I hadn't explored and throughout the game I would come across towns that I didn't think there would be. In terms of gameplay I'm not sure how it compares to Origins because it's been a while since I played Origins but I guess it is mostly the same. I do think it kind of does the thing Origins does where you're sort of just thrown into the game without too much of a tutorial or learning who all the characters are but I think after the beginning part the game does start to introduce you to them and the mechanics better. It does feel like there is a lot more in terms of choices in regards to the story this time around too, with me loading saves if I felt like I made a bad choice in a questline. Some of the earlier quests you do can also affect other ones later down the storyline too. Speaking of, I guess I wound up picking the non-canon character and in the family questline I wound up getting the less tragic outcome for it. Whoops! But I still think I liked playing as Alexios more since it felt like the story was more tailored for him and I felt like he did the range of emotions very well. I feel like the only thing that doesn't make sense for him is that he can become leader of the Daughters of Artemis even if he does earn that through legit means. But like I said, I guess I wound up not getting the true ending anyway which is kind of a shame but I felt like he went through a lot for it to end up the way it was supposed to. For the DLC, it takes the more ideal path for DLC that I like where it actually adds some extra story and questlines and not just some slapped on gimmick that I wouldn't want to play otherwise. Legacy of the First Blade is my favorite of the bunch since it goes into a bit of your character becoming a parent and you see how the Assassin and Templar stuff started out, taking place even before Origins. It was done really well and I looked forward to starting each episode. The Fate of Atlantis was also neat too since it goes more into the Isu stuff and I liked how it explains certain Greek myths like the Cyclops and such along with seeing Atlantis in general. You also see Elysium and the Underworld which was also cool to see and thankfully the Underworld didn't overstay its welcome because the bleak atmosphere was kind of draining to look at. I'm not really knocking it since I get that it's the point of it being the Underworld but I didn't want to be stuck looking at it too long however the questlines there were also nice especially in regards to a certain couple characters that wind up dying in the main story. All in all I feel like if you can get the Gold or Ultimate edition of this game on sale then you get a pretty big package that feels like a big adventure. I guess like Origins it comes at the cost of it not being like the traditional Assassin's Creed games so I guess your mileage may vary but I think the storylines were good enough to be invested in especially if you are into the setting and I don't really mind the RPG style combat since even if it is repetitive I would say it's not frustrating or feels like it does anything cheap for difficulty. If there is one undeniable positive about it, it's the movement. Climbing and running around feels like a dream since you basically move and jump or climb the way you want to and there isn't much you can't climb on. They more or less perfected the movement and it's a shame that apparently they have managed to take a step back from this with Mirage going by what I read in an earlier post. The trophies are pretty simple with it basically just being a checklist kind of thing that you don't have to worry about much with. I think another bonus is that you get 94 trophies total. But as far as the main game goes the only one that might be kind of tricky is the Hermes Homie one where you have to visit every area because the map is very large and even by the end of doing all the quests I still didn't find every area. My best advice for it is to save it as one of the last trophies you do and then just see what is grayed out on the map. I went out of my way to get the sync points so the way I narrowed it down was if there wasn't a sync point or nothing discovered there then I didn't visit it. Apparently there used to be a missable trophy in the first Fate of Atlantis list however I guess it got fixed in a patch but I managed to do it before doing the final main quest of that one. For context it's related to a quest where you have to knock out and recruit 8 enemies in each area of Elysium but for some reason I never saw anyone mention to make it much easier by just unequipping your weapon so you will automatically knock them out by hitting them with your fists enough and then recruiting them. Other than that there isn't much that really sticks out. In the other DLC's you are required to use certain abilities for certain things but they aren't difficult to do, in fact I got a few of them by normally playing. But now that my odyssey is over, who knows where my next Assassin's Creed journey will take me. Maybe I will go Rogue, or maybe I will take some wisdom from when my mother told me some day I will buy a galley with good oars to sail to distant shores.

Popular Post Dexistential
#47: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered #48: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered #49: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Remastered Haven't posted here in a while (couple years at least). Started getting back into gaming and trophy hunting again. This year I wanted to limit the spending on games and go through my backlog + any PS+ games I 'own'. I knew Uncharted 1 was a game I wanted to get back to (please ignore the Platinum in 6 years 1 month 😇) and thought might as well do the whole series. Favourite so far is without a doubt Uncharted 2, although I haven't played 4 yet (to be my 50th platinum). Going through the Uncharted series also means I can get back to A Lost Legacy, which weirdly enough was my first ever playstation game. Loved the series so far, but not sure if I love it enough to go through a Brutal playthroughs or full speedruns for the 100%s. Maybe another time though...

Unlock all trophies in Disney•Pixar Toy Story 3. --------------------------------- Toy Story 3 , one of my all time favorite animated movie , and the game itself is great too in my opinion. i've played it back in the day on the PS2 but unfortunately i've never owned a PS3 to get the platinum trophy. so i'm so glad to see it now on the Premium catalogue with trophy support🏆 sony did a great job bringing this game back to life , it's actually a really fun game and it tells the story of the movie really well , one the better licensed games out there. even tho i think the PC version is better (the PC version is a completely different game made by different developer) than the PS2/3 version , it's still it's worth a go in my opinion , especially if you love Toy Story. Popular Post kkulifay
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake (PS5) Why don’t we have more couch co-op games like these available? Adding this title to my favorite list of games (It Takes Two, A Way Out) to play next to a loved one. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the overall charm and sense of collective adventure. The trophies were very straightforward. Typical Indie-Game trophy list: like discover what’a behind a particular corner or experiment with this object to see the “cause and effect” etc. Honestly, it’s nice to incorporate these types of games into our rotation to break away the monotony. Lastly, the graphics and art style left my son and I with a lot of “oh awe” moments. Strong recommendation! Up Next? Dead Space Remake (so damn good) and 100% completion- Fallout 76 (currently at 95% just need to basically max out both faction’s reputation ranks).

Popular Post disaster500
#118 - Ghostrunner 2 - 14.60% Personal Difficulty - 4/10 (possibly 5/10) Time Played - 12 hours Ghostrunner 2 is a fast-paced action game with parkour and intense combat. You play as Jack, a Ghostrunner (basically a cyberpunk cyborg ninja) who has been revived following the events of the first game. After The Architect's death, Dharma has fell into chaos, with various gangs fighting for control. One of these gangs got a new leader Ahriman, who is extremely dangerous. Jack goes to stop him, but not before he revives Mitra, a Ghostrunner hellbent on destroying Dharma and everybody living there. Not good. Ghostrunner 2's gameplay, like the first one, is great. It's split into 2 main parts, parkour and combat. Jack is equipped with all sorts of anime ninja bullshit like dashes, grappling hook, wallrunning etc. This combined with level hazards makes for some fun platforming, that can get difficult at times. These moves are also helpful to evade attacks during combat, which is especially important as you die in one hit. Fortunately, the enemies die in one hit too. Your main weapon is a katana, which you can use to slash through enemies, as well as parry/deflect bullets with good timing. You also get a handful of abilities, including shurikens, a decoy clone and various ultimate abilities too. Enemies will usually be placed around an arena, and you have to use your movement to dodge enemy attacks, close the gap and slice them. If you get hit, you die and you can instantly respawn and try again. Although not as difficult as Ghostrunner 1, there's some tricky parts and finishing a large arena with many enemies in a clean run is very satisfying. There's also some motorbike and wingsuit sections, a nice deviation from the standard stuff. Although the game is easier than GR1, the trophy list is harder. On top of the standard story, miscellaneous and collectible trophies, there's a few more difficult ones. You have to beat 5 levels deathless instead of 1, if you slip up once you have to restart the level. The other difficult trophy is surprisingly a collectible one for earning all swords. Almost of all of these are easy like your typical collectibles, but one requires you to finish a roguelike mode. This mode consists of 4 stages, to clear a stage you have to clear several parkour/arena sections with a limited life pool. As you clear levels, you get perks or extra lives. I'd imagine this can be quite tough. However, there's also the occasional shop/gambling node for additional perks. I managed to land a 20% chance of getting a double jump, which basically breaks the game. On top of this, later on I hit another 20% chance to get a triple jump. This combine with some insane shuriken perks I got turned it into a breeze, and I beat it basically on my first attempt. I also cleared stage 5 for fun, an additional DLC stage that's much harder. Moral of the story: always gamble. Overall, the game's so damn good. Due to dying in one hit, it's probably not for everyone. But if you like fast-paced action, or parkour in games like Dying Light and Titanfall 2, both Ghostrunner games are an easy recommendation.

Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#136: Color Guardians Legendary (20.48% - Uncommon) Win all trophies in the game! I had originally retired my PsVita, at least from Trophy hunting, back in October after earning the Platinum of Fifa 15, but recently I went back to it for Ninja Senki DX (Which I eventually completed on the Ps5 because it's easier with a turbo controller) and for this game. Color Guardians is a cute auto runner, where you have to switch colors in order to collect gems and avoid dying. The Trophy list is easy and doesn't even require you to get high scores in the levels or to collect every collectables: you merely need to complete the game and to pe few miscellaneous tasks. Time to retire my Vita again.
Popular Post Jermster_91
#180 Star Wars: The Clone Wars I had never played The Clone Wars back when it was on the PS2 so this gave me a chance to play it. The gameplay reminds me of Rogue Squadron for those that played those games because of the vehicular combat. Most of the trophies are tied to just finishing the 16 levels of game along with doing bonus missions in each level. There are 3 bonus levels per mission and a total of 48 but you only need to get 30 of them. Most of them are have all your squamates survive a mission, beat the mission in under X minutes, etc. The game is a 2/10 in terms of difficulty and will take you between 3-5 hours or so to get the platinum.
Popular Post Mariner1534
#96: Sea of Stars (PS5) - True Solstice Warrior As a lover of classic JRPGs, I was really interested in this game after hearing all the positive buzz surrounding it, with lots of compliments about the game's throwback style. However (and this is probably a hot take), I found Sea of Stars pretty overrated. It's definitely a stunning game in terms of presentation; the 16-bit-inspired graphics are beautiful, and the soundtrack was great in its own right. The combat, which reminded me a lot of Super Mario RPG with the ability to time hits/blocks for stronger effects, was also decent, and I liked how you could break the enemies' concentration through various combinations of attacks/elements. However, I couldn't really get into the story/writing all that much - it just felt a bit "blah" to me. The combat, while decent, also got kind of repetitive since there are only a few special moves per character and very little party customization. I also thought the game had a bit of a slow start (to the point where I almost quit a couple times), though I enjoyed it a lot more in the second half. Overall, I still thought Sea of Stars was a fun little throwback RPG, though not really deserving of all the 9's and 10's thrown at it. The plat was a straightforward "do everything" kind of deal - you will have seen just about everything the game has to offer by the end of it. Not a huge game and nothing missable to my knowledge, plus there are toggle-able relics that can make things easier if you'd like. The most notorious trophy is probably the one for beating 10 bosses with a certain relic (which doubles your damage output and makes timed guards block all but 1HP of enemy attacks, but lowers your max HP by 95%). I honestly didn't think actually beating the bosses this way was all that hard, provided you have good timing (there are a few ways to manage the HP restriction on top of that), but you get the relic so late that you'll likely have to dip into New Game+ or farm the lengthy final boss to finish it off. Difficulty: 3/10 Fun Factor: 7/10 Plat Time: 32 hours
Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
165 3on3 Freestyle EU (Hall of Fame) 0.68% I have finally done it after 500+ games. That final push was effort for 200 mvps and 300 wins but after 7 years of chipping away I got it done. Was a decent game when teamed with decent people or just people that passed the ball but when teamed with hoggers it became a slog and frustrating. Even going for the 1k assists was a pain because it was either that they never passed or passed to someone else for the shot. I'm happy to never have to touch the game again and now got my rarest plat on 0.68%
Popular Post Boomshanks
( 100) FINAL FANTASY X COMPLETION Enjoyment: 100/10 Difficulty: 5/10 I finally got my 100th platinum and it’s for one of, if not my favorite game of all time 🥳. This game holds a lot of nostalgia for me as I spent hundreds of hours playing through it on the PS2 when I was a kid, both alone and with friends. Together with Kingdom Hearts, this is the game the pretty much defined my childhood and my love for the Playstation brand so it was incredible to be able to make it such a milestone. I was curious to see how it would be after all these years but thankfully it holds up really well and I loved every second of it. My wife was very surprised to see that this is my favorite game of all time but it excels at the things I love the most, a great story and characters and fantastic world-building. Even though I hadn’t played the game for 15 years I could still remember most of the areas and story-beats from the game. The story is such a highlight as it tackles very serious themes such as loss and sacrifice. I remember the revelation in Home shocking me when I was younger and the ending had me in tears just as it did all those years ago, which is not an easy task. When playing through the game I get incredibly attached to the characters and they all feel very distinct and fleshed-out. Everyone gets their moment of conflict and a moment to shine and the dialogue between the characters is fantastic. Oh and Auron is just one of the coolest characters ever created. I thought it might be my memory making him cooler than he is, but no… I still found him to be a complete bad-ass . The world of Spira is incredibly detailed and it’s one of the reasons I love the Final Fantasy games. Better than most other games, they make the world feel like a real place with different tribes and religions that all have their backgrounds. And the music… it’s so good . I still occasionally listen to Wandering and To Zanarkand and the Ending Theme never fails to get me emotional. I’m very happy the PS4 version allows you to use the original soundtrack as I find it very much superior to the remastered tracks. The gameplay is a traditional turn-based RPG. Since I know the game inside out I had no problems getting used to the controls and systems. I was surprised by how much the Sphere Grid guides you in a certain path in the beginning of the game, though you have the freedom to go anywhere you want. I really like this system since you are constantly levelling up and making progress and it allows you to customize every character in whatever way you want. Most of the fights don’t require that much strategy and on the PS2 I would often just use the overdrive of every Aeon to defeat a boss that I was struggling with. I never did that on this playthrough and never used Yojimbo to Zanmato any of the superbosses since I wanted to play the game from start to finish without any shortcuts. Even though I played the game for hundreds of hours on the PS2 I had somehow never defeated all of the Dark Aeons and Penance so this was my first time doing that. I was really looking forward to making Penance my final superboss for the platinum since it is one of the hardest bosses in all Final Fantasy games. Which made it that much worse when that trophy for defeating Penance randomly popped in the Calm Lands defeating some random enemy ⚰️. Oh well, I did defeat Penance in the end but I had to make do without the satisfying ping of a trophy. The grind is quite something in this game, but with the Don Tonberry trick it becomes very manageable. I had the most trouble getting weapons and armor with triply XP and empty slots and the weapon for Tidus just refused to drop. The customization system in the game isn’t great since you can’t remove effects and it takes a lot of material to craft things but in the end I had three characters with incredible weapons and armor. Since I love the game so much, the grind never really bothered me all that much though I can certainly understand why people are put off by it. The only thing I miss in the game is a way to see at what point it is best to try to fight a boss. In the end I was seriously overlevelled which made some of the superbosses less of a challenge than I wanted them to be. I still had my strategy guide from the PS2 era with a little note of which players to get for my Blitzball team. Thanks past me. With that team I pretty much breezed by everything in Blitzball without ever conceding a goal. The side missions that I absolutely dreaded thankfully weren’t as bad as I thought they would be. I got both the lightning dodges and the chocobo race within half an hour while I never managed to complete them on the PS2 and I did the butterfly hunt just for good measure. I wanted to fully complete the Celestial Weapons for every character even though it’s not necessary for the trophies. All in all, I loved my time with this game. It remains my favorite game of all time and I’m incredibly happy that I not only got to experience it again, but was able to make it such a milestone

Popular Post NinjaMJD
#5 Dragons Dogma 2 Enjoyment 3/10 Difficulty 3/10 Surprised there isn't a trophy guide here for it yet. It would have helped. Still you can get the plat in 1 playthrough including all the endings if you follow other guides. I ended up hating this game by the end, it just does not respect your time. Also learned that thief is OP and wasted too much time trying out other classes when a basic starter class ends up being one of the best and will easily carry you through the entire game. Once a proper guide is out, I bet you can plat this in under 50 hours. Officially took me 130 but i restarted all over twice early because I did some shit that would mean I couldn't get all the trophies in one playthrough, though there is NG+ if you want. But once a proper guide is written and you realize you can just stick to thief for 98% of the game and you know what to do, the plat won't take nearly as long.
