MarkusT1992
I have I quick question, maybe someone of you know something. I wanted to get the multiplayer trophies in Need for Spee Rivals with Voodo but had some account problems. I than contacted EA customer support and went in the live chat. That was on the 18th of December. All I got so far is an E-Mail three days later thatthey are investigating and it could take three days longer as usually due to high request income. I'm still waiting for anything from them since the 20th of December. Does anybody have any experience with EA support? Should I contact them again? I slowly doubt the will write me back. I found it was a lot faster to level up to 55 by playing solo in Wolfpack. You can set your kills up for maximum points by being incognito, hidden, etc. The key is to stop running once in view of the target so your bar fills up to incognito for the kill. Yeah I'm using Wolfpack, and going slow and on different kill modes is how I played ever since Brotherhood I'm doing about a level and a half per game of Wolfpack now. Started on a game with randoms but they were shite, not looking at locks and just running around... Doing it on my own now, but if others from here join then we can discuss tactics in advance. DamagingRob
Finished the Normal time attacks in Shadow of the Colossus. Some of them sucked.. I hate time limits. When I'm forced to rush, chances are I'm going to fuck things up somewhere. I'm going to do everything else, and tackle Hard mode(and its time trials) last. Maybe by then, I'll have improved at the game a bit. Switched jump to , which I didn't realize I could do on my playthrough during the event. It's just a very tough one to Plat, should you choose to do so. I wasn't as impressed by ICO. It wasn't bad, but nothing like SotC. It's just on another level, in my opinion. Probably my favorite game from the event, and up there with the best I've played. If I can actually manage to Plat it, I'm planning on making it my 200th. Popular Post PerryToxteth
So I've been meaning to update my progress for awhile after this event so figured I would when I hit the halfway point. I have now completed 5 of the 10 games I played in KYC...A. Here's quick thoughts on what I finished. The Order: 1886 - completed in event. See review in thread for more information. Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands - This was my last game in the event so I kept playing to platinum it out. As stated in my review, I loved this one. Great throwback game. On my quest for platinum, two trophies were a bit of a pain. Both require you to beat a boss without taking damage. Took about an hour of repetitive trying to find some sort of pattern and then executing it. Also, the last level is particularly challenging with platforming feats, often leaving my hands contorted in trying to execute the required maneuver. The Raven - I left my rating on this one as 'Incomplete' because of two possibly glitched trophies, but by following a guide, I was able to get through unscathed and give it a 6/10. For a point-and-click, this one starts out pretty basic and simplistic but the story comes on strong in the end. The Raven is broken down into three chapters and like any good mystery, it has a few twists awaiting for you. If you attempt the game, I highly advise you use a walkthrough in the first chapter to avoid a major glitch. If you miss one trophy, it can not be fixed, even by deleting all the game data. But It's worth a go, the story was well thought out. LEGO: The Hobbit - This was the most exhausting game I played in the event but I began to appreciate it more on my 30+ hours of playing toward the platinum. The story mode felt like the most grind with the Free Play being more enjoyable to me. And that Free Play includes earning 250 bricks in various events and quests, unlocking 30 special bricks, and amassing 10 billion studs. What made it challenging was having characters with special skills all looking alike. Why didn't Tolkien's editor say "There's too many damn dwarves!!" when he turned in his first draft? Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - After playing through to the finish during KYCA, I had just five trophies left for the platinum. But this game does not make it easy! There is a lot of downtime toward a couple trophies; as in, push the thumb stick forward for 10 consecutive minutes as you slowly make your way through the entire map to set up a trophy try. Then, there's lots and lots of YouTube watching as well to pick up all the collectibles. The kicker is, the game does not alert you that you did whatever task to count the collectible. You basically just keep your fingers crossed. If you missed something, there is no way to know which one didnt count. Ugh. The Completionist Trophy, collecting all story segments, took me three hours of walking in-game and watching YouTube on my tablet. Thank F'ing Goodness it popped at the end. And I thought I would rewatch the story on my second playthrough but it wasnt really adding anything from the first time so I skipped most of it. Of my remaining five games, two will be easy, one is an unknown, and two will be a grind. Never Alone and Jazzpunk will be completed within a couple hours. Apotheon probably has another 5+ hours left. I'm not sure if it gets more difficult. Rory McElroy Golf will take another 30+ hours but I can't forsee something from preventing the platinum. The skills challenge will take lots of effort but I need to play through the season to get my attributes up high enough. DiRT will be my platinum nemesis. I've been slowly chipping away at the season but I think the skills challenge trophies are too tough for me. Hemiak
Earned the platinum for Dragons Dogma last night, which was a game from the 1st event. Great game and I'd recommend it to anyone, though a few trophies were pretty annoying. Then I fired up some more Geometry Wars from this edition. I'm now about 40% through the campaign and I've got 6 or 7 levels 3 starred. Still need to figure out what game I'm seriously working on next. @PerryToxtethGrats on finishing another one man. Will you be the first one to ever finish all 10 games from one season? We'll just have to wait and see.
Popular Post DamagingRob
Platinumed Shadow of the Colossus, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although, part of this was likely due to taking Hemiak's advice on Colossus #3's Hard Time Attack. If I had continued to do it the way it's shown in the video, I may still be at it. :/ Thanks for the helpful tips, man. Still an amazing game, that I would urge anyone to give a try. Even if you didn't care much for Ico, because I know I wasn't that impressed with that one. Likely why I went 2+ more years, before finally playing SotC.. 6 games down, 4 to go(still have some Dishonored DLC, too). But I'll likely be going back to Wild Arms 3/Ray Gigant, now that my Vita lives again. So, not sure when I'll play one of the others from this event.

Popular Post FilmFanatic
Haven't really paid much attention to this thread since the event ended but here's a quick update. I finally platted Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. I don't know if I mentioned it previously but I somehow missed a sandcloud which meant I had to do another playthrough up to the last sandcloud again. However since I got the Rewind No More Than 20 Times trophy on my first playthrough I was free to rewind the game as often as I wanted and you know what, I actually enjoyed the game a lot more . Over my Xmas holidays I found a guy on the Destiny app that was doing Flawless Raider runs on Crota's End so he took me through that once for that platinum killing trophy and then again on Hard for the Epic Raider trophy which earnt me the for Destiny which I was very happy about. Now I just need to complete the Kings Fall and Wrath Of The Machine raids and I'll have the 100% for it as well. A few days ago I popped my 11th UR platinum which was Tropico 5 and this evening I completed the Espionage DLC so I now have my rarest 100% which is sitting at 0.27%. Coming back to the game after the event I still loved playing it as much as I did the first time and had more than a few very late nights because of getting carried away with playing it. Tomorrow I'm going back to Tales Of Xillia and then I will be jumping back and forth between the PS3 and PS4 to complete the rest of the games I played.

If it helps, neither game is super long. Managed to get the under 4 hour trophy in Ico without really trying, and my final SotC save for my initial playthrough was just over 7 hours. I went around saving at every shrine before facing the final boss, though, so that time is a little bloated. I would have been better off saving at the shrines, while hunting for lizards. There's one or more on every shrine..
Popular Post MStalker58
I've been meaning to update my progress for a while but kept forgetting about it. Anyways, I've finished a couple of my games and my thoughts on both have changed somewhat since the event. LittleBigPlanet 3 - Actually finished this game a couple of weeks ago but forgot to mention it here. Thanks again to @Hemiak for helping with the online trophy. The plat turned out to be my #6000 trophy milestone too! After getting the plat, I would probably drop this game a little bit in my final rankings. The online is just absolutely terrible. There is so much lag that it is barely playable at times. Seriously, there were a couple of moments where I couldn't tell which character I was actually controlling. Thankfully, I have 2 controllers so I was able to do most of the co-op by myself except for one level which required 4 players. I can't imagine trying to do the entire game online with a partner. When you are actually playing levels, the game is still rather fun and I enjoyed it. However, issues outside of the gameplay like long load screens, lag in the menus, terrible online, and all that stuff lowers my overall feelings on the game. Also, the campaign was rather short and didn't quite live up to my early impressions. It was fun but didn't really build on any of the interesting gadgets or characters that much after being introduced to them. All that being said, it would probably only drop slightly in my rankings and might get surpassed by.... Remember Me - This game is definitely moving up the rankings. An early candidate for my "Sleeper Hit of the Year" in the annual PSNP awards. I really wish that I would have been able to spend more time with this game during the event and been able to discuss it more in-depth. To keep it brief, I would describe it as taking parts of Enslaved Odyssey to the West, Assassin's Creed (the animus and present time scenes), Mirrors Edge (the visual style and futuristic city environment not the gameplay), Batman Arkham (combat), and Uncharted/Prince of Persia (platforming) threw them all in a blender and created a linear action game. It might not be on the same level as some of those games and it definitely has some flaws but it is a solid enjoyable experience. The camera being annoying and not being able to skip cutscenes when replaying chapters were my biggest complaints. The combat is somewhat similar to the Arkham games in the sense that it involves using combos in melee combat against groups of baddies while you jump over and avoid their attacks while trying to continue your combos. There are differences to the combat system and it's not nearly as polished as the Batman games but it feels similar. The story is interesting and entertaining despite some plot holes that I don't fully understand. I won't go into the story much since that is a major aspect of the game and to avoid spoilers. There are a couple of twists though. One I didn't see coming at all and one that I picked up on before it was revealed. Overall, I think this game is similar to Enslaved Odyssey to the West in terms of being an underrated game that gets overlooked and lost in the mix of more polished higher profile games. I would give it a solid 7-8 and would probably move it up in my rankings to the tier with Yakuza 5 and right behind Splinter Cell Blacklist. It's definitely not perfect but as a former PS+ game or if you find it cheap in a sale, it has value and I enjoyed it quite a bit. That brings my completed games from the event up to 4. Well only 3 plats but I'm counting Super Stardust as completed because I'm not buying that DLC. As for what's next from these games, I'm returning to Splinter Cell Blacklist next for another event. After that I believe me and Hemiak might try working on the multiplayer trophies for Watch Dogs so maybe I'll get back into that one soon. Also, I bought Mad Max after reading @DamagingRob's thoughts on the game during this event. Edited January 12, 2017 by MStalker58
DamagingRob
@MStalker58 Man, I loved Remember Me. I see you haven't played Life is Strange? That was their next game, and I loved it as well. Lot less actual gameplay, though. More like Telltale and Quantic Dream's stuff. Enjoy Mad Max; that game is dope. Just watch out for the Scavenger Location glitch.
Popular Post Hemiak
Haven't earned any more plats yet, but I'm steadily working through Geometry Wars and Watch Dogs. Both of which got the last day single trophy blitz treatment. So I'm glad to give them both some real attention and see where they go. Geometry Wars 3 is still pretty much the same. Play a level, repeat until 3 stars, or move on if it doesn't seem doable at the moment. I've completed 30/50 adventure levels and I probably have 12-15 of them at 3 stats. It's a game that definitely takes practice, and knowing what to prioritize and how to survive is key. It's fun when played in 1-2 hour sessions, and isn't ridiculously hard.... Yet. I'd give it a solid 7/10 for enjoyment so far. Watch Dogs is absolutely fantastic. I put it in one night looking for something to play with Mim, not sure what to expect. She was immediately hooked by the story and thinks the game play is all right too. We usually put it on after watching our daily shows, until she falls asleep on the couch. The first night I immediately switched back to GW3, but the last two nights I've just kept playing this. There is just so much side stuff to do. I can run around Chicago cleaning up the streets and the map, without advancing the story. I tried my hand at the online last night and it's actually really fun. It's easy and fast to find races, and the tailing contracts are really fun. You get put into a random players world and have to catch up to them. Once in range you have to profile them and then observe them to 100%, all without being spotted. If they do see you, the chase is on. The invader can't use any guns or attacks, and has to escape a designated area around the host. The host can use anything and everything at his disposal to kill the invader. If you die the host gets all the xp and reputation, and you lose some. If you escape you both split the xp based off the % of observation you completed. I meant to just do one and be done for the night. It was so much fun I ended up doing enough to get the 10 successful tails trophy. Out of the 4 times I got spotted I only managed to escape once. Apparently other users don't take kindly to you invading their world's... Who knew? At the moment this game gets a solid 9/10 from me. Edit: forgot to mention that I really enjoyed Remember Me and Mim absolutely loved it. Edited January 12, 2017 by Hemiak

I have not made that mistake yet, though I should add that I have a weird working memory - I can also remember lots of stupid factoids like "a kiwi uses more than its body weight in airplane fuel to get to us" and I can name films going by the actors in it even if I have not seen the films themselves. Yet somehow, I seem often to be unable to remember which of the two is called the duvet and which the fitted sheet. The words in Dutch are very counterintuitive for me and I still never seem to get it right.

Even though I'm behind, I really like the progress I've made in the past few months. Pretty happy I was able to plat Terraria and Conception II. Oobedoob S Benubi
I think joining in March will be very hard for me to do... March 1: Horizon Zero Dawn March 3: Zelda March somehwere: Fractured Butthole ... and then there's all the other stuff I want or have but have not pre-ordered yet, like Mass Effect. I will be joining but it might be more of a "play for half an hour and go back to the main stuff" deal, so I'll probably add all the stuff I want to give a try but probably won't like. Personally I'm glad that the only game I'm interested in ATM launch in the timeframe of March to May (Shiness: Lightning Kingdom, Lego City Undercover, Rime).
