Update on the Babylon's Fall delisting.

 

For any potentially interested in Babylon's Fall Physical it's getting reported now that GameStop will be ceasing all physical sales of it. The game is still marked currently at $40/$50 most places and likelihood of a sale before it gets removed isn't likely.

The next sale is due in 2 days but the odds of this game being in it, are effectively 0 so don't get your hopes up . Also, according to Psprices.com, this hasn't been on sale since 2019 .

Not sure if this is a difference because the EU contracts are different. But I can find a copy in the big chains here in the Netherlands for 10 - 20 euros. 

 

Its still more expensive then I would normally think when its shutting (eve and battleborn both costs 5 euro when they announced shut), but its a very new game too.

 

What is gamestop gonna do with the game, return it to square?

It’s £5 in Smyths (toy/game store) in UK if anyone’s interested.

 

Sucks about Onrush, it’s going to be tight trying to finish that along with the other games I’m currently working on

Not sure how it is in the EU, but while the Canadian EB Games retailers were seperate too by contract exclusivity. About almost two years ago, GameStop started officially converting all of ours under officially their banner. While they are still seperate in a way. (Like many Canadian vs US version of retailers/franchises.) They typically now get communicated particulars like stop of sales across the board. Though individual stores could ignore it still, which does frequently happen.

 

Btw something to keep an eye on during this most chains can't actually deactivate an items SKU from sale. (They can't deactivate it because of returns generally.) Instead they just typically put a return order for all items from store and may mark down the price to 1 cent or $1 to show it as a garbage sku. So if your at a GameStop, Walmart etc if they do get pulled with copies on shelf. Doesn't hurt to ask them to check the price to but it.

Will Ultimate Chicken Horse go on the list as well? Or will that be migrated to a new server? What about 7 Days To Die? Some people say 7 Days To Die is a P2P?

I was under the impression the devs said UCH was safe from closure ?. As for the others, it's currently unknown what their fate is, though 7 Days to Die is supposed to be P2P but someone posted a while back that middleware might be used for matchmaking and the leaderboards so could get nuked when GameSparks closes.

While 7 Days to Die may bite the dust, it won't go completely unobtainable, as the online trophy can be done vs a shopkeeper if you go back a few patches on the NA version. This method is actually way faster than boosting it as well. Only downside to not playing it with the servers intact is you lose the ability to duplicate items by trading back and forth with other players.

Oh my god I can't connect to the Hyperbrawl Tournament servers   I've been trying for a while and didn't have any issues until now. I hope it didn't close prematurely.

 

Ok, after 25 min of retrying it connected again, but this scared me. If you're working on it, get it done ASAP!!

I got the PS4 version from the Netherlands and I still got the free PS5 upgrade on my account from Belgium
Was afraid that wouldn't work as some people mentioned the upgrade didn't work for them and I wasn't home when the game arrived which was just before those mentions. Got a bit scared there

I can confirm that Superstar progression works in offline mode as well in Onrush on the PS4. One of my friends tried it this morning and it saves without being online just fine, can't confirm the offline trophy pop though because he has the plat already. Me and my friends have the disc version, so can't tell for sure for the digital/PS+ versions.

I'm sadly away from home without a game, so can't really get the plat right now...I'm missing the last two superstar trophies so I really hope that it's either not going to be shut down  after September 30th or we really can pop non online trophies in offline mode.

I started Onrush a couple of nights ago, will the ‘gears’ trophy be one that is likely to be affected by the potential online closure? I know the game insists on an online connection so I’m playing the game as though I need all trophies by Sept 30th

That is 1 of the 6 online trophies in this game so you don't have long to get it.

Well, isn't the Superstar progression the means by which you get currency or level crates to get the 250 gear items? If it's confirmed to work offline you should be fine, right?

I saw it in EU store last night.

 

And it's still there, it's just that for some reason it doesn't come up as the first result. Always Super Animal Royale and other things before it.

Superstar progress is saved in offline mode yes, but for player level progress you need to be online and connected to the servers. You can only gain level and unlock crashtags/überrags while online. Any trophy tied to user level and crashtags/übertags will need an online connection and yes, this includes the 250 gear trophy. Before the delisting, you could buy premium currency and you could pay real cash to unlock the needed gear items if you wanted to get it fast.

See I felt like their response was weird, like that they just assumed it was gonna be OK or NP, well in the end they seemed to agree that it did have an effect.

 

Its nice that they are looking to implement new backend servers. But im not taking any chances with this game. This game was popular when it released, but no way that they have the uncle scrooge money to uphold it

Btw I saw in the hyperbrawl discord  that they were shutting down because "their backend servers will stop" exactly at 30 september too. However I dont believe I saw the gamesparks logo when booting up.

 

Makes me wonder if there are more unknown games that gets shutdown. Just like the recent discovery of onrush to be running on the gamesparks engine.
