fantrig99 Posted March 25, 2018 Share Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) ReLIFE Episodes 1- 13 ReLIFE: Kanketsu-hen Episode 1-4 Enjoyment - 9 ReLife is a slice of life anime that tells the story of the 27 years old main character Arata Kaizaki who is struggling with his job seeking and life complications. One day he meets a ReLife institute member name Ryou Yoake and being chosen to participate in an experiment where he gets a chance to go back 10 years prior and live a life as a 17 years old high school student. I have a lot of enjoyment about this series for its interesting concept. This anime gives a what-if scenario that I can relate to as personally there were and will be moments in life where I'm lost and wanting to go back and redo something. As for the story it can be a little slow at the beginning but it gradually picks up and all the characters are interesting and unique in their own way. I watched the first series back when they first released and was eagerly hoping they will continue the story with a sequel of sorts. They eventually released the 2nd series which is an OVA and finally completes the story after some wait. However I think the story of the 4 episode ova sequel is quite rushed but it ends well. The series also has a live action movie which has adapted the story quite well in my opinion. It has been a heartwarming journey to see their story coming to a nice conclusion but also very sad to see it end. Overall a very enjoyable series. OVA Score: 9/10 Who would have thought anime girls + tanks would be such a great combination!? The tank battles themselves were pretty fascinating to watch since the team this anime follows usually has the odds stacked up against them in a major way, so winning requires a lot of strategy (and a bit of luck). It's always cool to see their plan come together. I learned more about tanks in this anime than I ever did in school. Even when there aren't battles going on, the characters kept things interesting - a lot of funny moments. I really enjoyed this anime and I look forward to playing the PS4 game which should hopefully arrive soon. Why does this work together so well!?
