If you only found 5 character items so far that’s your own fault. You can find 10 different character items in one game if you know where to look it’s incredibly easy to find most of the items. You clearly didn’t know where to look for them...

Still doesn’t change it. I had EVERY specialist except a Firebreak, which was broken for the last several weeks. So even though I spent forever going to them now I just look like everyone else who just got it auto popped. When in reality I went out & spent Time & effort towards them. :/

Not for Firebreak. That man was glitched for several weeks. This games platinum is a joke. The Prefyigiing 25 weapons was glitched for ages & added so much time to peoples platinum.

120+ hours I spent working on characters and I finally unlocked Prophet which was my last character yesterday.........yesterday.........at literally 11pm.......then they do this today, I’m not angry, I’m not pissed......but it hurts man.

 

I’m glad that people don’t have to go through the struggle I have, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. 

 

They didn’t do this to help people out they did this to sell character skins...it’s surprising it took them so long.

Exactly... yesterday i got Shaw with a friend. I was so pumped that i was ready to do Prophet the next day. Gutted but its all good... just trophies... at least it wasnt unottainable.

I’ve unlocked all the specialists, zombies characters, historical characters and ones for reaching 80* rank, legit. so this kinda feels like a kick in the balls, but as long as they don’t do the same sheeeyit with the other sets of characters I’m ok. Atleast I’ve got some fancy “numbers” camo to show off in MP I guess. Still though, this game as good as it is, really caters to the casuals far too much. If they do this again with the next set of characters though, I’m officially done going out of my way doing challenges in blackout. May as well just wait til they award me my participation ribbon for “kinda trying”. #slightlybitter ☠️

 

EDIT:  maybe now the default character skins will be the most unique! #silverlining

You can get Dempsey and Nikolai in the Battle Pass as well, but those versions of the characters don't count for the trophy.

Jup, was thinking the same thing. Send my buddy a message saying someone at treyarch fucked up, but appearently it was intended. Only needed 2 more. Firebreak and battery, but never encountered those items before, so im not complaining..

Yes, but Dempsey and Nikolai dont count For the Trophy, cause this are special editions of the Characters. And Richtofen is the original character For the Trophy.

I already had the icons and zombies trophies. I %100 had the skill to get battery, but in 500 games I have never once seen, heard, been killed by, or looted a war machine. I will unapologetically accept this specialist trophy. I would have also accepted some kind of upped spawn rate on the war machine. I hope they don't unlock the other 2 trophies because they actually have set spawns for items, so you can consistently attempt them, but I never even got a chance to try to get battery.

I’m not surprised one bit. 

 

One would think after all the bullshit Activision has pulled on Call of Duty for the past decade, charging high prices for map packs, shoving in a lackluster single player, releasing the same multiplayer drivel over and over and over, etc. 

 

That a multiplayer game made by a company that Activision controls isn’t going to be tinkered or have something in place that is going to screw over the players that invested their time into it. 

 

This is why I don’t bother with AAA multiplayer only games like Star Battlefront 2, Destiny 2 or Call of Duty Black Ops 4. All of which have gotten scrutiny. 

 

I can’t feel sympathy for you guys. I know that sounds harsh but that’s how I honestly feel.

 

Treyarch sounds like a shitty company. But this kind of behavior is what we should be expecting from companies like Activision.

The problem is when the game released everyone was required to earn the trophies by finding certain items and completing those challenges. Respect to those who did it, I only managed to get two before taking a break and made plans to return later. But pretty much they fucked everyone who did do it by now giving the trophy to everyone for free without stating they had plans to do this or release them for free to begin with.

It’s basically going from something that everyone had to earn and work for to something that anybody can get. 

 

I would be pissed if I spent weeks beating Mein Leben difficulty in Wolfenstein 2 only for Machine Games to come around and change the trophy requirements to where any casual who doesn’t give two shits about trophies can earn that one trophy. 

 

Another example is going from something that took you 20 hours to earn to something that now only takes 3 to 4 hours. 

 

That’s one reason why I quit Runescape and World of Warcraft. They have to keep making the games easier and easier to appeal to their audience. 

 

I’m not in the least bit surprised this has happened in a Call of Duty game.

 I understand the frustration but like I said in previous post, after 1 month of playing blackout I only found character items 5 times in which I successfully completed 2 specialist characters, the other 3 times I got killed by my own teammate just because they wanted the item, I don't know if this happened to other players but I don't think this will be the reason why they did this, maybe the reason is just plain the money, lets face it they aren't dumb and are aware there are a lot of trophy hunters out there and giving the hardest trophies for free could help to boost the sales of the game.

In 1 month you only found 5 items? I literally find Poker Chips in MedBags every time I open one.

Teammates killing you to get the item. First of all, how did they know you had the item (suppose they were randoms if you say they killed you) and second, when teammates kill you they can't loot your death stash.

Well, maybe is my fault that I get killed 3 times by my own teammates just because they wanted the character item, maybe is my fault too that I arrive in places where the item spawn just to the get killed because other 80 players decided to arrive to the same place as me or maybe is because I don't have much time like others players so I can't earn 100 platinums per year. This is really confusing to me.
