So I take it that it worked since u got the trophies?

Oh yeah! It worked. I was just about to let interested people here know that it worked. So yeah, I did that with the corossive weapon and had no problem with it whatsoever. So it is the damn body parts. Before I posted here I even thought maybe it might be the case but a second later I thought hell nah, it can't be and it turned out it really is the body parts problem. I'm about to get 100% on the PS3 version as well and I'm wondering if it has the same issue or is it just PS4.

The stability problems are a PS4 exclusive and don't affect any other platform or version.

so since borderlands goty is free to play this weekend on ps4  have they fixed the underdome crash yet?

The Stability problems are still very much there will almost certainly never be fixed at this point but you can negate them to a degree, by having the host face the floor for the duration and ensure you use Fire and Corrosive weapons to cremate the enemies so they don't leave many body parts lying around.

So I just got done doing all 6 arenas, did the 3 big ones in one day and didn't have a single crash or even any FPS issues to speak of.  Figured I would post what I did here in case people wanted to try and replicate it in case it's useful.

I'll include as much detail as possible, not sure what did/didn't make a difference in the long run but I will include it anyway.

- PS4 Pro, was on most of the day as I did all arenas in one go

- Both accounts were dropped to minimum 60 FOV, playing offline for all three arenas

- Used the split-screen level glitch to bring all the enemies down to 12.  The split-screen who was host was an alt account, level 6 Brick account that I had hidden away in a secluded part of the map staring at a wall for the entire arena

- Used same two accounts with lower level as host every time.  Allowed the host account to start every arena and also click through all dialogue boxes (end of rounds, end of arenas, etc.) Did not change this configuration for fear of bugging out Big Tournament

- If the alt-account died, I would immediately run them back to the spot after the round ended.  I would only move them away from this spot to another spot if the area they were in became covered in too much stuff (usually due to the tracking of enemies on a Horde round)

- Main account was a level 69 Lilith, specialised for maximum Phoenix damage (more about strategy below)  Used a Hellfire SMG (x4 burn) for all rounds and enemies except for burning psychos.  If you have a Firefly com for Lilith it will go a long way to making Phoenix more potent which is important as it's the bulk of this build

- Main strategy was to kill one enemy with the Hellfire to get Phoenix activated, then spread it amongst as many enemies as possible.  It seems to have almost a 100% chance to melt away enemies so the more enemies you can get with this the better.  Towards the later rounds (15+) you may find it's not enough to get through enemy shields and bring them down so you may need to hit them with a few bullets first

- The above strategy will work on every round *except* ones featuring burning psychos.  They are invulnerable to Phoenix so having a corruption weapon is a good idea here - this will still give you a good chance to remove their bodies from the arena and makes a big difference in the long run to keeping the arena clear

- Boss bodies appear to vanish after a few rounds regardless, so use your Hellfire on them to get Phoenix going first then spread it to all their minions afterward to clear up a boss round easily

Doing the above I managed to get all 3 arenas done in one day without any crashes or bugs.  Hopefully this information helps some other people get these frankly awful trophies knocked out.  I don't know if anything has been hot fixed or if I just got lucky but this is what got them unlocked for me with minimal issue.  Good luck!

I crashed twice on hell burbia, first time was just a normal play through, crashed at round 18.

Second time tried split screen, host staring at the wall. Crashed round 19.

Third time, did the round skip glitch, this worked and i got my first arena done.

I saw that the closer to 1000 kills i was the crash took place.

With the round skip glitch i finished with like 670 kills total.

TOO MUCH GIBBING MAKES ME NO WANNA PLAY

FWIW, I finished Moxxi's DLC yesterday. I did it together with a friend online. We used only fire SMG (Hellfire) and a corrosive revolver, both elemental X4. Most bodies will disappear because of the elemental effects. We didn't experience any crashes.

Before this method we did it with all kinds of weapons and the body parts remain on the battlefield which caused a crash.

How does the split/screen level cap thing work.

How do i make my lower level account host, The host seems to be my level 69 account and can't get the levels down lower

Also, are people still crashing even though your only using corrosive and fire guns. I have these trophies left and claptrap collectibles for 100%

Log in to your PS4 as your alt account, boot up the game in Splitscreen mode then login as your main account and press X to join the game :).

And now Round 19 wave 3 on the gully. (Thumbs up) Used Elemental the entire time to try and eliminate as many dead bodies as possible and it still crashed. I just want my 100% so I can be done with this train wreck.

Did you have your alt account facing a wall or the floor for the majority of the time as well?

**POSSIBLE SOLUTION**

Hi everyone, I'v just completed the Hell-Burbia trophy on my first try. I did a lot of research and preparation on the current issues and made sure I feel I may have found the solution and wanted to share my experience with these challenges.

DISCLAMER: THIS IS IN NO WAY SUPPOSED TO BE A PERMENANT SOLUTION, I AM SIMPLY SHARING MY INFORMATION IN HOPES IT CAN HELP ANOTHER.

Here are the conditions I made note of:

- DO NOT USE GIBING WEAPONS! I found that gibbing the enemy seems to be the main problem with the game crashing, avoid blowing them into little pieces since they do not de-spawn.

- USE CORROSIVE OR BURNING WEAPONS! Allowing the enemy to die by the corrosive or burning effects, means there body will disintegrate having less on the screen. Its is important to know that any bodies that don't get gibed or disintergrate DO DESPAWN after a little while.

- EMPTY YOUR INVENTORY! Gibs arn't the only problem, make sure you have an empty inventory to pick up lingering weapons, ammo and cash so there are less objects on the map.
- PLAY IN 60 FOV! I found that as soon as my game started lagging around 10 - 12, I turned my FOV to 60 and had no problems at all, up until round 20 (But i think this was because of the gibs building up)
- ONLINE CO-OP SEEMED FINE! I did this with my friend online, I hosted and was level 12 and he was level 62. He carried most of the game but I contributed when I could. He experienced a little lag but we figured it may have been his own connection.

To summerize, i do think the biggest issue is the gibs, but playing in a lower FOV puts less strain on your console making it much more reliable for more intense situations.

Hope I have helped all those having problems!

GOOD LUCK!

I play everything at 90 FOV. 60 sounds terrible.

Thanks for the info on gibing and loose weapons.

UPDATE

Just did all the arenas. No crashes or stutters. Everything ran smooth.

I went paranoid for this. I turned everything off. Aim assist, compass, minimap, player callouts, music and voice over volume to zero. FOV at 60. Rebuilt the database. After that even the start game menu stopped lagging.

I noticed the compass and rotate minimal lagged in single player in certain areas. The sound thing I don't know about. It fixed old games on Steam, can't say it does anything here. In theory, if it's at zero, those sounds are not loaded. Plus I was watching movies anyways.

I mainly used a 4x corrosive revolver and a 4x Volcano sniper rifle. Switching to make sure enemies disintegrate. I didn't rush, even walked away for a bit at the kill stat screen (where you have to press X to continue to the next round).

I also see people trying to sync trophies ASAP, going to the home menu while the game is running. I wouldn't. Feels like Alt-Tab on Windows. Not a good idea when running something resource intensive.

Glad it's over. 20 rounds is too much. 10-15 would've been better.

I was so afraid about this trophies bugging on me before playing, because under underdome is painful to play and not fun at all. Now there is only one map left for me.

I must say that I played with friend (we're both 55 lvl) and I've used split screen with 6 lvl chara. I didn't change FOV, I've used corrosive pistol which sometimes exploded enemies and as Mordecai I've used Bloodwing with corrosive element. Yeah, sure, second chara faced wall all the time, but even if there was shitload of bodies and body parts, not once I've experienced lag or crash. And I was person that killed the most enemies. You can say I've practically played like normal?

I wonder why underdome crash for some people. I know that a lot of others was much more careful than me and they still had problem.
