Just a quick update for me today as I'm hungover and fragile after a holiday party. I'm recovering on my sofa with some Yakuza 4 and maybe a takeout tonight.

I'm also considering swapping out Concrete Genie for the Blair Witch game as I only just realised that is on PS4 now. But I won't make the call on that till i'm done with Man of Medan and Yakuza 4 remaster.

Massive hours spent into Bayonetta(the videogame, please). What a dumb game it is. Not sure if I either love it or hate it .

For each positive I have an equal negative : Good combat plagued by QTE's, Interesting characters but the story is stupid as heck, good soundtrack but the enemy voices are screeching.

Pretty close to finishing Normal mode and gathering all the trinkets.

AT LEAST IT'S NOT DMC2!

Hello all, out of the blue: My fifth update.

• I got lucky with Playstation VR Worlds and where able to 100% complete all of the VR Ludge challenges.
• Cleared the "Clear the whole VR Ludge tour with 10 seconds left on the clock"-challenge with a time of 0:10.35 left on the clock.
• Also I where able to clear the Danger Ball tournament the first time, but did not win against the last enemies without getting any goals from him. So I need to repeat the whole tournament until I get this done.
• Also I added Vikings: Wolves of Midgard (PS4) with 34% (20/39) [Status when I edited my post] because my girlfriend and I are playing it since some time.

Easy and short game but it reminded me again why Chloe Price is my favourite female video game character. (And her voice actor, who's speaking all 3 of my favourite female characters)

Second  platinum this week. Thankfully I made a save before the final boss, because I forgot to re-equip my Makeover gear after the promotion to King Douchebag.

Platinum themed update with number 128 - Dark Pictures Anthology:Man of Medan. Finally got myself organized and did a shared play session to get the final trophy i needed.

That was legitimately one of the best co-op experiences i've had in a long time. I'm hoping there is something like that with the next game 'Little Hope'. It was so much fun. I'm also getting the christmas period excitement too, which is really keeping me on track as well as keeping my mind off all of the prep I need to do for it.

My brother is visiting so I didn't get to play much. Still knocked out a couple of games.

 

God of War: Ghost of Sparta: I got the last trophy I missed. I think it only took me about half an hour to get back to that point in the game.

 

Driveclub Bikes: I started playing the "Cars" part therefore I turned my attention to the DLCs that were tied to the "Bikes" list and got 100% on it. So far I preferred the bikes but I'm still barely into the cars.

 

Wanted Corp: I managed to do the first three missions. It's an ok twin-stick shooter so far but the controls feel a bit wonky. I don't know if it's the game or my Vita... although I haven't had problems with other games.

 

Non-Backlog Challenge game(s):

Driveclub: When I started on cars I had trophies popping left and right because I've already met the requirements in bikes. Seeing all that felt like (an early) Christmas. The servers don't seem to be all that stable and I had a little bit of trouble popping the online trophies. I almost have the platinum now, just missing one trophy for total drifting points (400k/1mil). Actually I didn't expect the game to have this much drifting (my least favorite form of racing). It took a little bit of time to adjust to the handling of cars compared to bikes.

 

I will continue playing (and most likely finishing soon) Wanted Corp for now.

Start of week update. I finally got Trails of Cold Steel. Absolutely 10/10 game for me even though it wasn't something I could make myself play quickly. The first playthrough took 60 hours to 100% with a guide, the second about 10 (leaving idle at times) and then another 30 hours to let the 100 trophy pop. I have the second game queued ready to go, but want to tend to my neglected backlog first. Additionally, found a nice soul to get the MP trophy on Age of Wonders (always the hardest trophies as MP dies quickly with those types of games) and did some work on Criminal girls - only one trophy to show for it, but 8 hours of grinding etc, should pay dividends soon.

Happy Monday! This week's update sees a good bit of progress made in Assassin's Creed II again, which is most likely going to be the next platinum you'll see from me - possibly for next week, it depends if I can be bothered to hunt those damn feathers.. ?

 

I'm very much a realist, and with 13 games to finish in 10.5 weeks it seems incredibly unlikely that I'll finish everything - but compared with my efforts in the Summer 2019 Backlog Challenge I'm moderately satisfied, and there's still time to further improve. The main thing that will distract me in the new year is my own challenge running from January to December. Time will tell..

After a solid month of working on this, it is finally done.  I finished episode Ardyn over the weekend and I have to admit, it made me think a bit less of the character.  Not much, because he is really great in the main game, but I feel like it was a situation where they gave to much information and answered to many questions and made the entire plot of the main game seem a bit contrived when you know the truth.  

 

Otherwise my thoughts haven't changed much one way or the other on the game, though I do wish they had included all of the episode dlcs as part of the main game.  It would have given the royal retinue a bit more character development and explained a lot about what is going on. The game is an interesting departure from the typical turn based combats of FF RPGs and that awful awful thing they did in 12  and the combat is what sells it for me., the story is not bad, episode Ardyn excluded I liked the villian, and honestly the comrades dlc was really really good. Its a shame that they cut it, but it really did feel like a stand along game.  Otherwise game is a solid 7/10 - 7.2/10 

 

That out of the way, I feel like I spent forever on this (even though I know I didn't really) and while I did enjoy myself I want  to not look at this game again for a long long time.

In case you haven't got your answer yet...

You need to create a NA account and make it a primary acc. on your PS4 in the settings. Then just redeem the code in the store on that acc and all other accounts can use the game on that PS4. If you plan on using a US account for future purchases I suggest picking a state where they don't apply sales tax on digital goods (I have no idea which ones don't).

Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon don't charge sales tax at all so those should be safe to pick.

Nope

The only thing I can think of is when you boot up your system you'll have to pick which acc to use unless you set your main to auto sign in I think, then you don't have to think about your other acc at all.

Small update. Got the spec ops trophy in Modern Warfare earlier today. Pretty tough. Did Paladin with a group, but did the other 3 with randoms today. Randoms make everything tougher lol.

I'm in a bit of a pickle here.

It turns out it is the analog stick that's bad on my Vita. ?

Tried the canned air method but that didn't fix it so I've ordered a new stick that I'll have to replace. I got most of the hard trophies in Wanted Corp but it is quite difficult to play a twin stick shooter with one stick barely working. I'm gonna see if I can tough it out and actually finish the game before opening up my Vita.

Update...

 

I managed to finish up the last of the Spec Ops missions for CoD Modern Warfare. So the game is now 100% complete. Man, that first Spec Ops mission was the biggest pain doing it with a pick up group. Got lucky last night and had a group of people where we finally got it done. The other 3 missions I knocked out all in a row earlier today with different pick up groups. Glad that is all over now. The single player story was actually quite good and wasn't all that hard on Veteran. Also took stock of time left and games left to complete. I have 29 games left to complete and there are 74 days left until the end of February. I have to complete one game every two and a half days. I will do my best! Alright, that is all I have for now.
