Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (PS4) - 0% Swaps used: 2/2 It's been a little while! I'm back working behind the bar again after 4 months. It's nice to get back into it and see some old faces from town. The Covid precautions are pretty good. It's now all table service so you can scan the table number to order through the app, or order with the waitress. The bar is out of bounds. There's a big line of tables blocking the way with signs on saying no bar service. The amount of times people squeeze through tiny gaps looking me in the eye while they're doing it. "What are you doing mate?" "I just want a pint of..." "No, that's a barrier you've just struggled past. It's there for you and me you dick". Numerous times, men, women, young, old. Other than that, lovely to be back making cocktails and pouring pints in civilisation! I'll try and keep it down, too much work words... Kona is a survival detective mystery basically. Survival, as in, finding wood to make fires. I didn't know before I started, probably a good thing because I don't think I would have started it. I just hate being in panic stress mode. Luckily it's not that punishing. You can be in the "oh my god, i'm going to die, look at the frost coming in on the sides of the screen, it's all hopeless" mode for a fair while and still be alright apparently! It's a true detective game as well. You really have to hunt for clues to fill your journal up and progress. The film style narration of the protagonist Carl is brilliantly funny in parts but comforting as well because there's not a lot of interaction. The trophy list is varied and fairly challenging. I was able to get the no shooting, smoking and drinking trophies in my blind playthrough, but there was no way I was going for the no driving trophy without a guide on my 2nd run. Scary wilderness etc. I think it's a fab game. Not had any real poor ones yet, but... ...I hope Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a grower. At the moment I'm battling with it. I'm there with the plot and it's really nice visually but there's things. I thought i'd put in an hour last night. No no no, don't give yourself an hour. There's a reason the controller has to rumble violently when the game's ready to play. It's been 3-4 minutes. You're off doing something else and you go "oh yeh, the game". Can't knock the method though, it works. I bet they hated feeling obliged having to put that in. I thought I'd go and get some of the seeds that I'd missed on the planets I'd done rather than progress the story, time restricted and all that. Go to the 1st one, my mistake, I need double jump for that one. Go to next planet and look at the time. Right, should get this one in half an hour. Battle battle battle enemies, map check, which floor? Where? Right, gotcha, battle battle battle, map check, I'm even further away, bloody map. Times up. There'll be better days. I've opened a few shortcuts so I hope the navigation gets better but wow it's not fun at the mo. About as fun as sliding down the ice, jumping and missing a rope, over and over. Note to self, get gud at sliding and jumping. Erica needs one more playthrough (I hope). I need to try and merge a couple of playthroughs into one but I should be able to. I'll finish that in a couple of days and come back with another update because I've gone on a bit with this one. I'm another that sits down in the morning and really enjoys reading how everyone's doing! Lots of love to all! Take care.

Popular Post StilRh
Weekend update: Finished Ghost of Tsushima. It honestly is a 10/10 game, I took my time and played most of the game over 2 weeks. This is not a game you want to rush - eg - I found the minor tales tedious towards the end because I made myself do them all in the space of a day. Progressed Resident Evil 4, controls more sluggish than I remember but warming up to it now. Dabbled in Planetfall, I feel completing all of the base game trophies is very achievable and ofc will go for DLC as well. Started Blue Reflection, I think I stopped playing it due to anxiety about missing items for the crafting quest and having to do another playthrough, I have some guides to work through for that now Spoiler Age of Wonders Planetfall 42% > 44% Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey 12% Darksiders II 14% Last of Us 2 100% Legend of Heros: Trails of Cold Steel 2 7% Black Mirror 100% Blue reflection 15% > 17% Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink 100% Ghost of Tsushima 72% > 100% Resident Evil 4 5% > 21% Edited August 2, 2020 by StilRh

I have also finished my first game. It only took 2 months. Tales of Xillia 2 is a great game. I'm not sure which one's better, ToX1 or ToX2. I clocked out at 148 hrs, really took my time with it but every second was worth it. Now I just got to play the other Tales of games and maybe not wait around a few years before doing so. As for Rise of the Tomb Raider, I almost managed to get the plat in it too. I only have the Score Attacks left for that. At first I didn't like Score Attack but I'm beginning to warm up to it. Everything else I enjoyed so far. Also completed the Baba Yaga DLC. I'm hoping to finish up everything in Rise next week except for the co-op stuff. If I have a little extra time maybe I'll play some F1 too.
Popular Post Xenoblast91
UPDATE 4.0.: L is real 2401! August hits again, and personally this always has been a month with a lot of expectations, dreams and realizations alike January, but with more deskjob feeling in the air; also, is when the heavy rainy season in my region begins (not pun intended), and this gives me new visions and views for the upcoming two-quarters of the year. Well, since my last update few things has happen, and finish 2 more games and started a new one. However at this pace, and because I wanted to refocus my gaming approach, I took my foot from the gas and wonder about this challenge, and what I'll be doing next; I highly doubt to be part at the next because I want to focus into time consuming and online games that sadly are in my backlog and payed full price for them, so let's see how that goes! Oh, and almost forgetting it. The completely unexpected Cuphead reveal and release to PSN actually triggered my gears and pumped me up to replay it again! This is may be, and without any doubt, the main reason why this backlog slowed down so abruptly! Actually, that game is in my backlog, and has resurfaced again. So I really want to replay it here, but wanna train a little bit before that and trying to be one of the best times in the leaderboard (a proper challenge by itself, which will require to do, ironically, something that I displease a lot doing: speedrunning). I've been playing it again and just 4 bosses away from 100%'d it. At least, I was able to beat Wally Warbles and that is the true boss on Expert, IMO (aside from the tutorial). This week surely I'll finish that! Another World – 0%➡100% The Bridge – 0%➡100% Final Fantasy XV – 91%➡100% Call of Duty WWII – 61%➡100% Attack of the Toy Tanks – 0% Journey – 0%➡100% Ōkami HD – 0%➡21% Swaps used 1/2: Wolfenstein Youngblood – 15%➡100% LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 – 0% Detroit: Become Human – 0% The Last of Us Remastered – 0% Ok, let's break it down. Since my 3.0, I played mostly Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Yes, I now understand what people were complaining. I was waiting to play it since E3 last year, and was wondering if it was truly awful as many were talking about. And yeah, why tf you didn't put a map for the game?! Seriously. That is its biggest flaw overall. The game feels rushed, and because you revisit a lot the same areas over and over again, a well layout or level design at least in minimal requirements would have been great! Anyways, the story was predictable but likeable, the gameplay however was... Ugh. How to tell it? Clumsy at its best. The bullet sponge of enemies and the hell grind for coins were absurd. However the clock's exploit is reliable and helps a lot. Fun Platinum, like its FPS experience and the thematic of the series but felt souless despite I'm not a core fan to be honest. Inmediatly after, I jumped to Journey. Really wanted to try this one since PS offered it as free for the lockdown, but due the impossible matchmaking with any friend and the random generation of companions made me upset about playing it. But I looked forward and the thing payed out. The last 2 trophies were tedious, because people weren't cooperative but the last one (I hope you read this Arcane...!) stick to me until the end and I managed to get my Companion and Return trophies! Beautiful game overall, a good clean flavor for my previous games. A relaxing game which a pretty easy list for completition. Following it, Okami. Oh, man... What I'm supposed to say about this one? A 14-years old game, which has aged well imo ngl and a highly praised one with a very interesting story and elements from Japan's folklore. Gives me memories for sure. I wanted to play this one A LOT since I was a teen, and wanted it madly for the Wii (because I lacked PS2 at the time) and after all those years I'm finally tasting it! I'm glad to being waiting. It lacks Spanish as language for dialouge, and if I had try it before, I certianly couldn't undertand it really well compared as today. This remembers me however, those days when I was at Hyrule Field with Wolf Link in Twilight Princess. The resemblance is solemn. I know it can be done in a week or so, but I really want to take my time with this one slowly and enjoy every bit of it. Also, years of gaming have allowed me to play it without guides (aside for few collectibles and the missable trophies) and that has added fuel to the pleasing experience this game has to offer. Alright, only 2 more updates and the challenge will be over. I highly doubt to finish this challenge, but I had a ride doing it! If I can play 2 more this month, that would be great and my backlog will be reduced again. I'm hoping everyone is doing well and enjoying their lists! Let's continue, because the adventure hasn't finished yet! Happy hunting to everyone! ?

Another add, probably my last unless I get to my joke milestone in time. I stumbled across Letter Quest Remastered somewhere else on this site and it looked like fun. I wanted to start it as soon as possible, so I started it as soon as I finished Coteries. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it soon! I’m enjoying Vampyr so far, and it’s so much less stress not having to worry about so many things to be able to get so many endings. The parallels between now and the Spanish flu epidemic in the game suck, but otherwise I really am enjoying the game. Coteries of New York is also really interesting. Another cool VN added to my collection! It’s got me excited for the new Vampire: The Masquerade game coming out later this year even though I’ve never played the older games. There’s also apparently a sequel to Coteries itself in the works, which I’m also excited for! I’ll now be bolding games I’ve finished, to more easily distinguish them all now that I’ve done a game with no plat. Last bit of info I want to mention is that I’ve decided to set up the Ace Attorney Trilogy as my birthday plat this year (end of this month, woo!) so from now on I plan on doing a case just about every day so it’s ready for me when the time comes. I got scheduled another 7 days in a row, most of which were this week. Surprisingly though, I didn’t get as burnt out as last time, though probably because I got to work the location I wanted for once so that made me feel better. I was still tired of course, but at least I wasn't so exhausted I couldn't play anything at all like last time.

Seasons After Fall - 0%->100% [8.2.2020] 13. √Letter - 0% Started and finished three games since my last update bringing my total finished for the event so far up to seven games. The Turing Test was intense in regards to story despite it being a short and fairly easy game. My significant other saw a small bit of what I was playing and asked if it seemed like a game accessible to him (he doesn't play modern video games because he gets frustrated because "there are too many buttons" - LOVES retro games though so we have Nintendo Online for the Switch as well as the mini consoles) to which I responded yes, so I will likely have to give up some gaming time sometime soon so he can play that one. (I'll probably end up playing on my Vita ?). I love stories like this though - ones that involve robots and morality - and the addition of it being in space was the icing on the cake. I am so glad I picked up PS Now for three months because I hadn't bought this game previously because I read it was short and couldn't justify the cost. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter was a solid game as well though probably my least favorite of the three, not for any dislike - just the story of Turing Test and style of Seasons After Fall grasped me more. I did quite enjoy the variety of the different cases you worked on which helped keep the repetitiveness of some of the tasks from seeming bland and boring. Probably the part I liked the most is that there were so many ways to analyze the evidence in the deduction section that you could come up with different endings for each case (though I believe only choosing the correct criminal nets you the trophy) and then there is the choice to absolve or condemn. (spoilers below) Spoiler The interwoven story with Kate & Alice was probably the weakest point as the occult aspect seemed pasted on and while you get Alice's motive for why she would mess with Holmes they don't explain why she decided to kill herself & Kate. I also am not super fond of the trope that anyone into the occult must be crazy because while it suits the era the game takes place in its really a tired trope for modern day writing. Finally, I played and beat Seasons After Fall. I actually own this game on Steam but haven't been able to play any PC games in some time because I desperately need a new computer. I absolutely loved the painterly style of this game which paired with the soundtrack lent to the whimsical and ethereal tone of the game. I originally picked this up because there was a fox in it (I absolutely adore foxes) and was overjoyed when I discovered you get to play as the fox the whole game. The concept of changing the seasons affecting the environment was pretty novel. I have seen stuff like that done before but not with this much artistry involved. Watching how the entire environment reacted each time I would switch between seasons was beautiful the whole way through. While this is a puzzle platformer, near the end it becomes more of a straightforward platformer & loses some of that puzzle aspect because they rely on reusing the same elements & have a little less variety than would be desired (especially if the game had been any longer). Overall, thoroughly enjoyable though. I made a little more progress on The Bridge and am actually nervous that once I beat the game I am going to discover that I have the collection glitch regarding the wisps (I just started reading about it). I think I am going to tackle √Letter next and then Shadwen but I also have some other games I am working on that aren't on this list. Eventually I will go back to Psychonauts but I am in a points based team challenge right now hat requires me to get trophies a little more quickly than I will with that game so its now relegated to being my "buffer" game in between working through others quickly.

Finally had time and willingness to play through Dead Space once, managed to do every single trophy on easy, now what's left is to do Impossible playthrough and kill 30 enemies with 3 weapons each. I don't know how I feel about the game, I mean, I appreciate the atmosphere and I get it how influential Dead Space was for the survival-horror genre, but I didn't like the game that much. It was okay, a little bit too long (definitely not as long as Dead Space 3 - fuck this game) and it was not scary at all. Like, I'd say under my nose "you dirty fucker" once or twice thanks to some cheap jump scares, but that's pretty much what this game is, jump scare festival. Anyways, the gameplay was satisfying so I'd say, I give this game a solid 6/10. Nothing too special. I will never touch it again after I get the platinum in it. Cheers guys, have a safe week!

Bit of a shame the episodes wouldn't give me the "scores" at the end. XBlaze Lost: Memories I paid attention to the start and then just mashed X through all the cutscenes. Seemed like a pretty poor VN with quite a bit of a fanservice, I'm honestly not sure if it's better with context from the other games...? Collar x Malice Only cleared one route, but I'm really interested in finishing up - may be a little scattered since I have to be careful where the Vita is, but hopefully soon. Has an interesting story that seems to be pretty light on the romance for an otome VN, and the brief other portions (shooting, investigating) are a nice addition.
Popular Post Draps-1337
It's been two weeks since my last update. Things are going well for me! I've been playing a fair bit of Rocket Arena, but getting the platinum is a hell of a grind. So I moved onto Killzone: Shadow Fall. It's a pretty good shooter. I've 100% the single-player. but now working on the multiplayer grind. I realized I don't own the DLC so I don't think I can 100% this O.o So I'll probably be swapping this for something else next update. Unless I cave and buy the DLC, but knowing that I need another human player is a tough ask. If anyone in this thread has Killzone and hasn't got the 100% yet and would like to boost a couple of multiplayer required trophies (support supply ability, Co-op Revives) A Plague Tale: Innocence - 100% Killzone: Shadow Fall - 0% -> 43% Yonder - 100% PaRappa The Rapper Remastered - 100% Mirror's Edge Catalyst - 100% 428: Shibuya Scramble - 100% CHAOSCHILD - 100% FullBlast - 100% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - 0% Tearaway Unfolded - 12% -> 100%
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Hey folks, early week update from me. I'm looking at my list and I don't think i looked after it enough for this run, a fair amount impacted my progress like the streaming stuff, general life and work commitment. What I learned here is that I shouldn't go too overboard with the starting list and I need to focus a bit more on curating it to avoid this happening. My Fall/Winter challenge list starts off with about 5 -6 games, rather than the 22 I put down here. Anyway! I made some decent progress in the three games i'm currently working through, more on that below: Resident Evil 3 Remake I managed my first playthrough on Standard difficulty and I could definitely feel the difference in the mechanics compared to RE2 Remake. Little things like a nerfed combat knife, almost arcade-like gameplay with the Carlos sections and the RNG in that seems to have been inserted into enemy behaviour etc. I've had fun with it so far, even though the perfect dodge mechanic is taking a bit of time to get used to. It's more like a long punchy action sequence with survival horror interludes compared to the predecessor. Next up i'm going to play through the game on hardcore, earn some challenge points and buy the infinite rocket launcher + manual to improve perfect dodging. Ghost of Tsushima What an amazing game. I've cleared the lower half of the map completely now, along with Act 1 and all the side missions in that part of the game. Next it's more of the same, clearing all of the map locations in the Act 2 region, all the side missions, mythic tales, mongol camps etc. Can't wait. Mafia 3 I'm still really enjoying this one - my progress since last time has been to recruit all three of my associates and slowly work towards collecting money for the trophy to save150,000 dollars in my bank. The soundtrack to this game is great and the radio stations are belting out some real classic 60's and 70's songs. Next up in this is to start taking over different parts of the map and giving them to my associates to increase their power and the money they generate for me. And that's it for this update, take care of yourselves everyone and see you in the next update. Popular Post Liioni
This has been a really weird summer for me, with a lot less game-time than usual. And whenever I've had time, I've only had the strength for slacking around in easy games. But, I've started making some progress in two of the games at least, and I am aiming on finishing the Lego-game this week so I at least got one game done this challenge. Hah. I have really enjoyed playing Lego Ninjago, it's an easy game, but not to easy leading in to boredom. I got stuck on a simple quest in AC Black Flag because of silly reasons so I got kind of fed up with it, but once I got past it I really do enjoy playing it, but I get annoyed from time to time with the weird running-targeting where the character won't go where I expect him to. It's been really amazing following all the progress you all have made, especially when I haven't been able to game that much on my own! So thanks for making my summer brighter (and making me hyped about finishing more games in the coming weeks!) Popular Post Stanners316
It's not challenge related, but I'm currently ranked exactly 50,000. What are the chances eh? Just noticed! Does that make me famous? Anyway, thought I'd share that with the crew while it lasts! Hope everyone's all good. Edit: 3 hours on and I'm not now. Brief god status ended. Loved that though... And I may as well follow it up with a brief update. Update #6.5: 1. The Town of Light (PS4) - (3rd June) 2. The Council (PS4) - (18th June) 3. Ratchet & Clank (PS4) - (28th June) 4. Lego Avengers (PS4) - (2nd July) 5. Valiant Hearts (PS4) - (7th July) 6. The Walking Dead S2 (PS4) - (8th July) 7. Kona (PS4) - (27th July) 8. Erica (PS4) - 81% (3rd August) 9. Steins;Gate (PSV) - 37% 44% 10. Shenmue II (PS4) - 22% 33% 11. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PS4) - 12% 29% 12. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (PS3) - 0% 13. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (PS4) - 0% Swaps used: 2/2 I think I'd already made Erica my favourite FMV before I played it, but now I'm not too sure. It was right up my street being British (I'm a bit of a patriot), being a horror and being an FMV but I think I still prefer (controversially) Late Shift, for it's plot definitely. That being said, the amount of varied interaction is really impressive, and really frequent as well, rather than making you sit there and watch long bits. I think it'll be a long time until a game like this with 6 endings doesn't feel like a bit of a chore through the last couple of plays. My 3 blind runs meant I needed 7 plays in total so that didn't help! Oh maaaan, that song! The scream at the start, the creepy way Blake says we should go back to our flat and get a change of cloosssee. Mate, we're like 15, I'll ignore the kiss. The Vita is still making it tricky to make text decisions in Steins;Gate but I did get my 1st ending. A really disturbing ending, but I guess they all are. It's still slow going with having to reboot every 10 mins. I may open it up and have a look. Shenmue II is like Shenmue I, aged and very funny where it doesn't mean to be. I saw a post where someone commented how they couldn't understand how Shenmue got so much love with people recommending it etc. I think you have to have played it 20+ years ago and are playing it now for nostalgia to thoroughly have a good time with it. Tank controls, missable trophies dependent on day and confusing navigation don't make for a great experience, but it's satisfying to progress through. Did I mention it was really funny without realising? I'm getting on better with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I can do more mental things with my lightsaber so it's more satisfying, and I'm getting better at navigating across the different planets. Still a shame there's only one point on each planet to fast travel to, unless that unlocks later.. The flashbacks where you learn new skills are really well integrated into the story and it feels more like a really good game now. The sliding on ice bits are still shite though. Have fun everyone, we're getting towards the final stretch! Popular Post Fire
Update 5. The Last of Us II - 28/06/20 God of War - 06/06/20 Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls - 03/08/20 Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax - 08/07/20 Batman: The Enemy Within - 16/07/20 So i added Danganronpa for the Fall/Winter challenge last year, but moved it for the spring one and then moved it for this one And guess what? i finally finished it. I can't say i'm really impressed with this one. Ultra despair girls is much different from Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair (two games i really enjoyed). Instead of a VN murder mystery, it's a third person shooter. The best part of the game is following the story but the worst part is an awful control scheme. The shooting is so annoying and slow. Upgrades via Bling Bullets did not help at all, nor did skill upgrades made any big difference. If we put that aside, it's fairly quick and easy platinum if you follow collectible guide. Otherwise it could take some time. And yeah, i guess i finished all my games from the list, long before the deadline. Still thinking if i should add another game to the list before fall/winter challenge starts

Wreckfest: 100% (21/21) Swaps Used: 1/2 Extra Games: 0/5 Total Trophy Haul: 511/959 Almost 100 trophies in three days. Cant really complain. First of all, I changed my mind again. The Crew 2 is an abomination that makes the death penalty seem pleasant in comparison. All because of the Grind for the best parts and the Photo Ops. Also Ubisoft, how do you make a character who is as annoying as both Vic van Lier and B-Fresh from the NBA 2K series? Secondly, started Gravel, and only have the online portion (and another grind) in front of me. Let's hope I can find someone. Game is really fun though, a lot better than Crew 2. After that, it was time for Goat Simulator. I know this game is supposed to be a parody of different genres, but HOLY BAJEEZUS this is absolute dogshit. The glitching, the trophies barely work, the physics, EVERYTHING (except the MMO part, that was quite fun) was a complete waste of time. At least I can't use it for the next challenge anymore, so it's either now or never. Finally, I gave Ninjago another shot and what do you know, I suddenly love it. Why does this keep happening? After completing the storyline I now have to go around getting all the collectibles, but the fact that the Docks part is a complete mess doesn't help matters. I may do it, if I keep going at this rate. Especially because I'll probably earn another four or five trophies on Ninjago later. Happy hunting everyone!
DizzyDavidson
@Berendsapje I got the Gravel online trophies 2 months ago. Luckily I found a random on a weekend and thankfully they stayed the whole 10 races. If you want I can help you with the trophies but right now I only have Sundays free. In 2 weeks I’ll be on vacation and I can help you anytime. Add me if you like.
