That is true of 95% of games. Maybe Rockstar and Naughty Dog take a little longer but all others drop fast.
Dangisuckatgamin
Caught a complete glimpses of the gameplay reveal stream. Will watch the gameplay trailer later that i can watch in 4k hopefully. It looks good though from what I could tell. I always have fun with most Far Cry games. Wiki list this as having Multiplayer? Is that true? Ugh. I hated FC5s MP crap.

I’llWill get on a sale around the Holidays but this I is one of the PS5 games I want most. I enjoy the open world nature of the series, the environment, animals and the story looks compelling.

Popular Post ziggypossum
Far Cry 6 Takes Big Swings on New Gameplay Elements The idea of a guerilla fantasy -- building up a revolution from scratch and overthrowing a territorial despot -- has been a staple of the Far Cry games, and although Far Cry 6 looks to carry on in that tradition, don't be fooled: there’s plenty of newness here too. During my hands-off preview and interview with Lead Designer David Grivel, I was impressed with the fresh systems the team has baked into the latest game. For a series with Far Cry’s pedigree and built-in player base, they took bigger swings than they strictly needed to. From tweaking the game’s outpost system to introducing the possibility of Hitman-like stealth to a wild array of cobbled-together weapons that we’ll definitely get more into, your quest to overthrow El Presidente and free the Yaran people aims to put more gameplay options at your disposal than ever before. Most of what we’ve learned about FC6 thus far has been about the world and cast, and fairly so. Giancarlo Esposito is an incredible get for the game’s big bad -- if anyone can rival the impact of Michael Mando as Vaas, it’s the man who played Gus Fring. As Anton Castillo, the murderous El Presidente of the fictional caribbean island-nation and Cuba-like called Yara, he seems to want nothing more than to consolidate his power and hand the reins over to his son Diego...before, in true Far Cry fashion, you wander into the plot and presumably throw a monkey wrench into his plans. To do so, you’ll team up with an existing band of revolutionaries working to overthrow the fascist regime, calling themselves Libertad. It’s through Libertad that players will learn the art of "Resolver" -- a guerilla concept of using every resource at your disposal that the developers seemed to truly take to heart. By scrapping together various items from Yara’s decaying cityscapes and lush wilderness, you’ll unlock weapons like El Pequeno, a massive minigun powered by a motorcycle engine, or a gun rigged out of an old portable CD player that blasts The Macarena while you take out baddies. 6 features not only more weapons than any prior Far Cry game, it may also boast the widest range of weapon types. The developers weren’t afraid to run with that resolver idea, to the point of sometimes even taking things a little over the top. And I mean that in a good way. The story of Far Cry 6 reads as a tense thriller, but combat looks to have a somewhat lighter tone, as the game stretches historical accuracy in favor of making the gameplay -- you know, super fun. Case-in-point, let’s talk supremos. Supremos are customizable and upgradeable super-weapons you deploy from a backpack. At the preview session, they mostly featured the one that fires a barrage of rockets in all directions when you’re desperate, but the game will naturally feature a number of different supremos, including some that support a stealth play-style over the play-style where you desperately fire a barrage of rockets in all directions. That was cool though. And stealth has a new meaning in Far Cry 6 as well. The developers have added a holstering system this time around, as well as in-game checkpoints the player can talk, bribe, or shoot their way through. It’s now a legitimate option to blend in and lay low...until you don’t. And once the S hits the F, you’ll be able to make your getaway in a whole slew of new ways: you could take a guerilla path, one of Libertad’s hidden corridors through the dense jungle, you could hop into one of your customizable rides complete with jets coming out of the exhaust, even mount your horse and disappear into the hills. And speaking of horses, Far Cry 6 seems to have taken a page out of Red Dead 2’s book, adding camp activities to the bases you unlock and develop, giving players more of a reason to hang out beyond simply expanding their territory. Animal companions are also back, with at least two featured in the preview footage we got our eyes on. There’s Guapo, an alligator with a taste for man-flesh, and Chorizo, an adorable little doggie used primarily to distract enemies during stealth runs. Naturally, there’s also a wide variety of other wildlife to encounter, hunt, or get eaten by in the wilds of Yara. Always a nice touch when an open-world game has a functioning animal ecosystem. I’m looking at you, Cyberpunk. We were also promised that FND Bases -- what this game calls outposts -- have been tweaked and made more various in an attempt to refresh the time-honored Ubisoft tradition of killing some dudes and changing the color of that part of the map. That said, we didn’t get to see a base takeover in action, so how much these “tweaks” really alter remains to be seen. But it’s clear that the Far Cry 6 team have taken some risks with the formula, while maintaining the core gameplay elements the series has refined over the years. Yara’s unique mashup of Far Cry-standard jungle environments and an aging communista city-state is already a bold move, and like the Yarans themselves, the dev team seem to have taken that momentum and tried their best to use every part of the animal. We’ll see if the borderline-zany combat detracts from what seems to be a fairly serious storyline, but ultimately, I’m excited to see such a well-worn series trying out a few new tricks, and I definitely left the preview session significantly more excited for Far Cry 6 than I had been previously. David Grivel, Lead Designer, also led the Far Cry Primal team, so he’s no stranger to unique entries in the series. It looks like he’s bringing the same sort of originality to this game, but beefed up with the systems introduced in 5 and plenty of new ones to boot. Hopefully, it all comes together nicely and makes for a wild, dictator-deposing ride. https://www.ign.com/articles/far-cry-6-first-preview Edited May 28, 2021 by ziggypossum EDIT

BrandedBerserk
Looks damn good, it's nice to see they're still trying to do new things without completely changing the formula. A lot of people hate on ubisoft but to me they make games that I can always play for mindless fun despite them being similar to each other.

Not to continually spam this thread, but I had to comment and agree with this. I love the mindless fun these games offer. They aren't usually "ground-breaking" or much different from one another, but they always keep my interest. As for FC5's MP... it almost made me despise the entire game itself though HAHA. But i suffered through it and glad I did because I have the platinum to show for my suffering LOL. Let's hope the MP in this one is slightly better or the trophies are easily obtained without being like "ARCADE competitor" of the last main game.

AJ_Radio
Did Ubisoft borrow from Wolfenstein: The New Order and Fallout 4? Some of the guns look very much like the weapons you get in those games. The old 1950s era cars you see in the screenshots look like they belong more in a Fallout game than a Far Cry game.

Yeah, as much as I like pretty much all Ubisoft games, they always tend to be buggy and overpriced at launch. Ill wait some months before I get it, like always. Will pay less for a better product. I stopped buying Ubi's games day one, instead I opted to wait up to a year which eventually got me the Gold Edition of their games at $25. I mean their games are good but not good enough to warrant buying them at launch. Edited June 3, 2021 by milanbarca82
