Second update and, with this, 2 new games added to the list. I was already working on Modern Warfare so I knew the game was gonna be here in some time but for The Witness, that was totally unexpected, didn't think I would get a lucky run and finish the challenge. Deciding what to play and finish next, most likely gonna return to some of my PS3 backlog.

Got two more games done since my last update. First one is Rime, a nice and relaxing little indie game that I picked picked via PS Plus a couple of years ago. It was a nice and rather short experience. The other game is Erica, if you want to call it a game that is. It's one of these Full Motion videogames, sadly not a very good one if you ask me. Plotholes everywhere you look. But hey at least I banished that 40GB monstrosity from my PS4 for good now.

It's been a few weeks since I've updated, but I got two more games done. Should be able to finish 13 Sentinels and Shenmue 3 for 1 and 6, but I ordered an EU version of Catherine for 7 that may or may not make it in time for the event. Hopefully it does.

I enjoyed Toren, however short it actually is. 

 

I don't know 2 of those games, but the rest I have waiting to be played.

 

I would have joines in, but my games are all being saved for other competitions at the moment. Haven't popped a Plat since 16th June...

My 4th game is done - Tropico is a fun series if you like city-builders with some comedy and Tropico 5 plays surprisingly well on console, looking forward to picking up the DLC when it's on sale next time. The plat is pretty easy as well despite it's rarity

This event is not just about getting but rather for playing and finishing games I completed 8 games that don't have a and i am working on two more for the last spots. So if you don't want any that doesn't mean you cannot join this event. it's just about halfway through so think about it   Sorry i forgot the sign ups are closed, but keep this in mind for the next Gaming by Numbers event

Dang!  I don't know if that is driving you crazy or not.  I think it would be hard to go a month with out actively popping a plat...  If you need someone to talk to we have support engineers standing by to help you through this dark and terrible time.

ok hopefully someone got that. if not then I have failed.....  lol  Song of Memories is now complete.  Good game, I enjoyed this VN a lot even yes it had a lot of endings about 24 or 25 all in total. Though the system set up you could jump around from a chart so it really wasn't too bad.  And all the characters true ending were unique enough it kept me reading the whole time.  I would skip the joint part were it was the same no matter the choices.  The music was really good, I wish there had been english voice acting, but I can live with that.  The only part I didn't really care for was the "action rhythm" battle games.  At least you could skip for an auto win or set it it auto hit. lol.

Sadly my next game to play on my backlog is repeat of number 6 so it won't count here since I was a bad gamer and didn't finish Trails of Cold Steel 3 before the event started, (missed beating that one by about 50 hours of gameplay lol).  Luckily I don't expect Deponia to take me too long to complete.  But now I have earned my badge, so I get to collect another sweet piece of @Spacey Dweeb art.  Ah my collection grows with every event... MUWAHAHA.  err... um back to your regular scheduled nice guy.

It took me a little longer than I wanted, but I was preparing for plat #125, so I should have another update soon. Ikenfell had an interesting, Hogwarts-esk story and feel to it, but if I am being honest, the gameplay was lacking a bit. The Zelda-like puzzles were neat, but kind of simplistic, and the grid turn-based strategy got repetitive towards the end. However, the game is still charming and pretty impressive for a small indie team.

Saved this one for #125. I was originally going to do P4AU for the milestone, but I don't want to jeopardize the event by putting off a bunch of games in order to focus on a single trophy. A trophy that would take a lot of time away from playing other games. Therefore, this was the next best thing.

 

I was new to the series and honestly, after playing it, I'm a fan of detective games like this now. Story had me laughing and crying. Characters were all cool (except Teruteru) and it's experiences like this that make me think that if you ever get trophy burnout, try something new. Look for a new genre or play out of your comfort zone. You may just end up having more fun that way and reinvigorate yourself.

Alright...  the number 5 is starting to frustrate me a bit. It will be my last digit after finishing ME3 tomorrow then GoW 3 Remastered after that. Trying to find a title that I would want to play and add on my profile. Initially I was leaning Severed on the Vita, but 10 hours of swiping on my screen might not be the most enjoyable.   I also have spyro, but watching my kids play it, I'm not overly interested in adding it to the profile, thus needing to finish the other 2.  My struggle is I have so many great games on backlog that I'd prefer to play over these 2

 

Anyone have any recommendations for a quality 10-20 hour #5?  (I have looked at what others have completed and nothing caught my eye yet)  Can be longer if it is a really good game.

Just goes to show you shouldn't care what others think and play obscure stuff to your heart's content  I think Toren is a shining example of the problems with people caring so much about graphics now.  That game sure has pretty graphics, but absolutely nothing else of value and I'm still shocked it made it off Steam.

I'd planned to do Ikenfell for #9, but Phoenotopia caught my eye on the new trophy lists section of PSNP's home page due to, IMO at least, its awful, awful title. I checked it out, mostly to confirm my suspicion that it was just the latest Kemco RPG, but instead found a very solid and very unknown metroidvania. It's also very unique in that space, taking most of its cues from Zelda II of all things rather than the traditional Super Metroid, but unlike Zelda II it's... well, good. It has a good trophy list as well, covering almost everything the game has to offer, but don't let the 46 second completion time fool you-- the game has a quirk where trophies are unlocked manually from the menu after the requirements are fulfilled. I'd estimate it was closer to 60 hours across two playthroughs. Overall it's a strong and easy recommendation for metroidvania fans, even at full price, and especially considering how poorly it's apparently sold in the past year since its initial release over on Switch.

I thought it was OK for the $2 or whatever I paid for it. I'd be pretty pissed if I paid full price.

 

The funny thing is that I went with it because I didn't think I'd have time for Shadow Tactics...and yet I started that anyway. (And it's a much better game.)

Finished up my fourth game that qualifies with World Wrestling Entertainment 2K Battlegrounds. I would like to request that @Jens list it that way on the spreadsheet since if you use the anacronym version, the title won't be long enough for my liking  This game was free, short and just what was needed if I plan on getting anywhere close to done with these numbers by the end of the event! The game was more frustrating than anything else, but if you're looking for a '9' game, this one can be a good filler game!
