I played online a lot before the server shutdown, but it was split between doing high end stuff and helping lower level players get their 15 missions in for the trophy. So I've still got a little farming to do for the final weapon upgrade and last 2 "paths." I haven't played this much Vita in years and my hands are feeling it, but I should be able to finish up the platinum before the new year. I also got my first win in XCOM. It was on Easy, but it still felt pretty good. Going to start the Classic playthrough next and see how bad I get destroyed. Still hoping to get one more game complete before Friday, too. Maybe Doraemon or Darksiders. See you next year! Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
Update: Alright, alright... I KNOW I said I probably wasn't going to feel like updating after being up for over 24 hours, but I walked in the door and a second wind hit me like a freight train. I think all the energy drinks finally kicked in. I'm, like, hearing smells or something, I don't know. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> 03DEC2021 Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - started at 13% --> 04DEC2021 --> 100% 7 hours later FFVII - started at 10% --> 03DEC2021 Dark Cloud - started at 0% --> 12NOV2021 Spyro 3 - started at 8% --> 30OCT2021 Call of Cthulhu - started at 22% --> 03DEC2021 Naruto: UNS - started at 10% --> 01NOV2021 Greedfall - started at 14% --> currently at 17% About another week before I work on this one again. Fernz Gate - started at 1% --> 12NOV2021 Antiquia Lost - started at 0% --> 03DEC2021 Revenant Dogma - started at 0% --> currently at 34% I hate it, I absolutely positively HATE this game. Between it literally crashing my poor Vita and the lack of a mini-map in this pointlessly labyrinthine B-tier RPG, I did not get as far as I thought I would. I usually really enjoy KEMCO games, they're like a guilty pleasure. The information I have scrounged up on forums for strategies don't work, so I've been having to use my own strat. I call it revival juggling. You just max out on revival items before a boss and revive characters over and over until you get lucky enough your health is in a good enough place to actually attack. Grinding is ridiculous, and this is the first one that actually feels like a pay-to-win scheme. I have 18 pages of notes in my notebook for this game alone now and it's driving me absolutely bonkers. The only reason I'm still continuing with it is because I'm determined. Gravity Rush - started at 5% --> currently at 65% I didn't play this one overnight. Moss - started at 0% --> currently at 92% I''m going to hit this one up after work on Wednesday, have a good time and stay patient. Skyrim - started at 0% --> currently at 61% I've currently got this pulled up on the PS3 to the opening screen just for background music while I typed my mini-rant above. I've got other plans this morning. Hades - started at 0% --> 22DEC2021 Oceanhorn - starting at 0% --> currently downloading so I don't forget this weekend. So I've completed 11/17 games on my list, used 1/5 swaps (because Berserk deserves a major milestone slot), and 1/2 games started above 33% (but still below 50%). Two guides published over the course of this challenge. Currently at 55.83% completion. I'm estimating a total of 160ish hours remain on my selected games (I underestimated Revenant Dogma). I need a good time after the Helscape of my least favorite KEMCO game and @SicilianDragon92 has inspired me to play The Forgotten City due to the absolute gush-fest. If a game can get anyone to fall head over heels like that, it's definitely worth a shot.
Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Heya Peoples! Happy Holidays! I hope everyone is having/had some good times. @Heather342 Happy belated birthday! ? Only cool people are born on Xmas Eve. I should know. And now for my: Update 16: Resident Evil 3 [PS4] - 100% Shadow of the Tomb Raider [PS4] - 54% -> 100% Farming Simulator 14 [Vita] - 0% -> 10% Skylanders Trap Team [PS3] - 100% Darksiders [PS3] - 100% Metal Gear Solid 3 [PS3] - 100% F1 2021 [PS4] - 100% Mugen Souls Z [PS3] - 0% => Far Cry 4 [PS4] - 0% -> 2% LEGO Dimenisons [PS3] - 0% -> 5% Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear [PS3] - 100% The Good Life [PS4] - 98% Swaps: 1/5 The Good Life: I reached 400/500k then sold all the rare items I collected for 75k so I'm real close now. Only a couple more hours of grind left. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: It's done 100%. My first run exploring everything was a hoot, including the DLC. Deadly Obsession run wasn't too bad, knocked it out in 2 days. I died a few times and it was a bit frustrating but I persevered. I even busted out my new controller for that run because the old one is starting to wear out and I didn't want to mess up because of it. Also it seems there might be a couple of checkpoints still present on this difficulty other than the campfires. At the end there's a puzzle section followed by lots of combat and a chase scene before reaching the next campfire. I messed up on the chase scene and I thought it's going to put me all the way back before the puzzles but I got respawned right at the chase scene. I hope they make more TR games because I love this trilogy/reboot. Farming Simulator 14: I played a little bit of it on Christmas. Surprisingly, it plays very well on the Vita. The map is quite small due to Vita limitations I guess, but in my opinion that's a blessing in disguise as it's easier to memorize it and get to places. I'm ready to play more. It's going to be another grind but that's cool. I've been bitten by the Farming Sim bug a few years ago and since I collected all the games on PS with the exception of the first one on Vita (delisted), the '15 stack on PS3 (played it on PS4) and the latest one '22 (I'll get it later). LEGO Dimensions: First off, I had my LEGOs neatly put away but when I took them out I discovered some of them were broken. All the same pieces with the two prongs, I had to use some "Cragle". I guess they don't make them like they used to. Second, the game bugged out on me twice already, once the portal would stop reading anything I put on it, then the game froze. Going in, I knew the game didn't perform as well as on PS4... hopefully it won't be like this till I hit 100%. Otherwise that LEGO game humor is there and I still haven't put together the kits that I got since I played the PS4 version so that'll be fun. Far Cry 4: I'm swapping this in for Mugen Souls Z. With The Good Life and Farming Simulator 14 being grindy games I just don't want to do another one at this point. So far I've only played a top rated map for a trophy but I'm in a session for more MP stuff. I will have to find a co-op partner for a couple of trophies and get the DLC too (I don't think I got it yet but will check). Hopefully I'll have 2 more games done by my next update. See you all next year!
Popular Post L0sT_NZ_Kazekage
Merry Christmas all hope it's been a great time, I have had a bit of choice paralysis between Hades, The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 2. Had the Witcher unfinished on my list for years and played a bit of Hades on an alt. While trying to decide I've been back in to Valhalla, managed to finish 1 of the main DLC. I'm just going to swap this one back in as next year I'll be back to study so will focus on my actual backlog to save cash. Anyway taking out Ruined King for it. Still feel okay about finishing the list ? 1. Sackboy: A Big Adventure (42%) 2. Dark Souls Remastered (100%) 3. A Way Out (100%) 4. A Plague Tale: Innocence (100%) 5. Until Dawn (100%) 6. Popular Post Heather342
Update 21 My time off work is doing wonders for my trophy hunting this week, I've made some pretty good strides in my completion percentage increases ? I'm mainly focussing on two games right now - Ghost of Tsushima and Two Point Hospital. For Ghost of Tsushima, I've completed the first act of the single player story, and then headed over to Iki Island to knock out the DLC content. So far I've completed the main story of the DLC, but still have a bunch of collectables and secondary missions to complete. Overall it doesn't look too challenging. Two Point Hospital is where I've seen the most progress this week. I've mostly been jumping around the different locations and trying to earn the first star in each of the three hospitals in the areas. I ended last review on 36 stars, I have just achieved the trophy for 45 stars. This also included the trophies for earning 1 star at each hospital on Pebberly Island, 1 star at each hospital in Close Encounters and 1 star at each hospital in Off the Grid. I also managed a few of the miscellaneous trophies, including getting my hospital organisation value to $50,000,000. I only have 3 misc trophies left to get, and then the remaining trophies are the 3 star requirements for every single hospital, which is a huge grind to 81 stars for the 100% completion (or 63 stars for the platinum trophy requirement). I'll keep going with this one and see how far I can get with those stars ? Trophy progress - Ghost of Tsushima - 22 -> 26% - Two Point Hospital - 53 -> 70%
Popular Post skeggah
Hiya! Again, not a big update, but an update none the less! ME2 is going great, I have knocked out all the combat specific trophies! Only have 1 character dossier left to finish before starting on the loyalty missions and former DLC stuff. Everything I do in this game feels really fresh, as it must have been 10 years or so since I played it (didn't complete it though) on PS3. The Smurfs are really smurfing me the wrong way, but it's getting close now! 6 more areas to hunt collectibles in and I will have the platinum. Don't really have any time off work during the holidays, but I will try to regain the pace I've lost. Quite a lot of time has been spent on New Pokémon Snap, A Hat in Time DLC and Plants VS Zombies: Neighborville. Completed games! 20/28. 1) Dark Cloud (PS4) 2) Altered Beast (PS3) 3) Brave (PS3) 4) Moving Out! Popular Post Zach
Update! I just finished Control on the PS5. Having the DLC from the start makes the platinum WAY less grindy, making the ultimate edition the BEST way to experience this game. I think I'm going to make Nier Replicant my #200. I've only heard good things about this game and the gameplay is totally up my alley. I can't wait to experience it! Popular Post YaManSmevz
Toasty War Journal #15 12/29/21 Happy holidays, everybody! Finally, a nice productive week, and a chunk of games are completed! San Andreas took longer than intended, and I enjoyed it so much that I got kinda mad again for the people who didn't download the original trilogy and won't get to play it... they seriously got robbed man, that shit ain't nice. Hitman 2 was absolutely phenomenal, but one thing - some of those Sniper challenges were annoying. The Hold Your Fire one for example, where you have to get all environmental kills, took me far longer to figure out than I'd care to admit. Not that it sullied the overall experience or anything like that! I just had a brief period where I wasn't enjoying myself, and it felt so foreign while playing Hitman? so pumped for 3! Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was excellent! Short, super charming, visually lovely, engaging story following the titular brothers, and the ending had a gameplay-related moment in the epilogue that really drove the ending home (which I of course will not be revealing). Highly recommended! Started Islanders, and with such a high plat percentage and quick playing time cited in the guide, the fact that i haven't plowed through it extremely quickly made me wonder if I'm just dumb! Like remember the guy in Mallrats who couldn't see the Magic Eye painting image, and everybody around him is like "ooh a sailboat?" This game legit makes me feel like that! It's a nice chill game though, and I'm sure I'll have it wrapped up sooner than later. With the new year upon us, it's really hitting me how it's high time I lay out a plan for my remaining games! A swap or two us probably in my near future, but.. in spite of my pockets of inactivity, gotta say I'm still feelin pretty good about my chances! Happy new year to you all, I'm excited for 2022 and even more so for gettin some more work in during January! As always, thanks for reading and thanks for posting! 1. Resident Evil 5 (34%) 2. The story is pretty good so far and I wouldn't necessarily call the game easy, or it's just cause I suck at stealth. Popular Post GraniteSnake
Update #6: Hey everyone, the increased gaming time over the holiday's has been very productive! I've knocked out four games since my last update. Not entirely sure what I'll play next. It'll be 2022 by the time I next post in this thread so I hope everyone enjoys the new year's celebrations! Abzu: A very simple underwater exploration game. I followed a video guide for the collectibles and got everything done in just over three hours. Would recommend if you're looking for something relaxing to play! Uncharted 2: Improved on pretty much everything from the original. Gunplay felt a lot smoother, the chapters were more diverse with a wider range of enemies and exciting set pieces. Shame I'll never be able to revisit the MP, was absolutely addicted to it back in the day. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon: Fun 80's style game. I haven't played this series in a long time. Gameplay was sluggish, felt very stiff at times. Aiming was awkward but the difficulty of this game was so minimal that it really made no difference. It's a cool game but not one I'd be rushing to play. Feels quite dated Uncharted 3: I was pleasantly surprised with UC3! I don't remember it being so good. The weapons sounded great, melee combat was improved and the set pieces once again impressed in this game. Graphics were fantastic too. Had a lot of fun with this trilogy, was great to play through them again after all these years. Completed: Life is Strange: Before the Storm - 100% Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered - 100% Ratchet & Clank: Nexus - 100% Tekken 7 - 100% The Order: 1886 - 100% [PS3] Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - 100% Guacamelee! Gravity Rush - started at 5% --> currently at 65% Played this one very little on Tuesday, but managed to snag a gold in a sliding challenge. Moss - started at 0% --> currently at 92% I'll smack this one after I finish Skyrim. Skyrim - started at 0% --> currently at 98% I'm just trying to get Kolbjorn open so I get F&F to do the telekinesis XP exploit to get a legendary to spawn at Arcwind. All I have left is the legendary. Hades - started at 0% --> 22DEC2021 Oceanhorn - starting at 0% --> currently downloading so I don't forget this weekend. The Forgotten City - started at 0% --> 28DEC2021 Wonderful game, recommend a blind playthrough before using the guide. Thank you, @SicilianDragon92, for bringing this gem into my life. Absolutely destroyed my glumness. So I've completed 12/18 games on my list, used 1/5 swaps (because Berserk deserves a major milestone slot), and 1/2 games started above 33% (but still below 50%). Two guides published over the course of this challenge. Currently at 56.1% completion. I'm estimating a total of 130ish hours remain. Yup use those leave days, day on day off duty is miserable.
Popular Post DFuzed
Well it's the end of another year and, with that, another time to update the games I've played for the month. I won't do a huge update of the games I've played this year; I'm not a sadist and not going to make you read however many games I've played in the last 12 months. I'll just keep to the games I've played this last month and leave it at that. Trials of Mana - I picked this game up on the cheap while waiting around saw it in a bargain bin. So I bought it and had in on my to play list for a bit. I started playing thinking back of how I always enjoyed the Secret of Mana series, including Secret of Evermore and I had always planned to play it eventually. I enjoyed it immediately and the things they added, including multiple protagonists and how they managed to make the various characters and monsters into their third dimensional version. And bringing some of the original bosses back given the same 3rd dimensional treatment was nice too. And how broken it can get by equipping skills on New Game Plus from previous games helps too. I did have a few issues, mainly that I hated Charolette with her way of talking and only played her because she had to be played for all of the trophies. Almost done the game at this time, with the last run part-way in. Lego Batman 2 (Vita) - I kept coming back to this game, as I said on my weekly updates, that I'd be playing this when I was on vacation, since there was a huge chance that I would be playing it while visiting family. I only had the challenge mode to finish and get gold on each five challenges to plat it. I definitely overthought it and didn't think I'd be able to finish it, thinking that to get gold I had to not die. But then I noticed that you had 4 or 5 deaths before it dropped to silver. So took a few tries, getting used to the both what you had to take on and what had to be dodged in each area, sometimes using the environment to my advantage (shooting the target to call the train, jumping on objects and using ranged attacks). Once I figured that and how to hit the tougher enemies that were giving issues, things were a breeze. This game is done and I might take a break from Lego games for a bit, focus on different games. Word Quiz - I have always enjoyed trivia games and games where you have to think. Not that I hate other genres but if I can play a game that has trophies that is more about thinking about an answer or figuring out a puzzle, I'll play it. Saw this game come up online and bought it immediately. Lots of trivia, including a daily quiz that I enjoy. Funny thing it that I was the first achiever for two trophies on this game, which I never had before. Mind you I don't typically play games on Day 1 typically. The few I do, with a couple exceptions, were all physical copies I bought and had to wait until stores were open to get. And even if they were midnight releases the gamers on the East Coast were playing these games for a couple hours before I even get my copy. I plan to get the final trophy legitimately, waiting for 30 days to get the daily quiz trophy to plat this. Persona 5 Royal - Finally finished this game again, with the extra content and the extra characters. I could tell who the extra boss was going to be early on and I knew that there had to be some twist to the new character that would join the group. The game gave me a few surprises, the biggest one being how a certain character returned and hiding how he returned. There were other small things that I enjoyed, like the Showtime moves, especially Yusuke and Ryuji's and Joker and Kasumi's. And I swear that there were variety of a couple of these, but not sure what or how to make them happen. I also overthought fighting the Reaper, had all the plans to beef my characters and such. And...much easier to kill than I thought. Didn't have to drop the difficulty rating like I might thought I would either. Epic Word Search Collection 2 (Vita) - Still working on this game, but had a hiccup while working on this. One of the trophies didn't pop when I highlighted one of the words. I contacted the gaming company and they told how to fix it. I have to wait until I get the rest of the trophies since it involves deleting my data on the game and I want to get the rest of the trophies before I do that. That's it for this month and for this year. Hopefully things will be getting better this year. Cutting this post shorter than I might usually have types since I have plans and I need to get ready. Happy New Year Everyone!

Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
Update: Did a bunch of planning today to relax my own way while visiting friends and family in FL while on leave. Going to be slinging my resume all over the place. Looking forward to next year, last one in. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> 03DEC2021 Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - started at 13% --> 04DEC2021 --> 100% 7 hours later FFVII - started at 10% --> 03DEC2021 Dark Cloud - started at 0% --> 12NOV2021 Spyro 3 - started at 8% --> 30OCT2021 Call of Cthulhu - started at 22% --> 03DEC2021 Naruto: UNS - started at 10% --> 01NOV2021 Greedfall - started at 14% --> currently at 17% I'll be finishing this one on leave, I'm kind of getting that PS3 feel back after Skyrim. Fernz Gate - started at 1% --> 12NOV2021 Antiquia Lost - started at 0% --> 03DEC2021 Revenant Dogma - started at 0% --> currently at 34% A couple of deep breaths (days, I mean days) and I'll be ready to get back to it. Gravity Rush - started at 5% --> currently at 65% This is going to be my main focus on my 18 hours of travel. I hope I'll be finishing it. Moss - started at 0% --> 31DEC2021 --> 100% simultaneous Finished my no death run today, took a food and eye break after sneaking past the Eye of Sauron Master Sentry and was sweating that damn snake. Fireballs almost got me twice, but Quill scurried out of the way by a whisker. I'm on the lookout for the next installment this Spring, will definitely be playing it. Skyrim - started at 0% --> 30DEC2021 --> 100% 31DEC2021 I can confirm the telekinesis exploit remains viable at this point in time. Saved me countless hours grinding levels. I'm ecstatic I was able to do this all on one 15mb save file on PS3. The console was crashing quite a bit near the end. Hades - started at 0% --> 22DEC2021 Oceanhorn - starting at 0% --> currently awaiting acquisition of the Gravity Rush 100%, will likely be playing this on travels, I don't see GR taking too much longer if I can get through the sliding challenges. The Forgotten City - started at 0% --> 28DEC2021 So I've completed 14/18 games on my list, used 1/5 swaps (because Berserk deserves a major milestone slot), and 1/2 games started above 33% (but still below 50%). Two guides published over the course of this challenge. Currently at 56.13% completion. I'll be adding Prince of Persia to the list as I've been curious about the ports since I found them in the store; reminiscing while on a PS3 kick is always nice. I'm estimating a total of 75ish hours remain (the exploit for grinding levels in Skyrim drastically reduced this number). I will likely be adding other games that I've purchased and haven't started and some other games that I started and never finished, lots of free time opening up while I'm on leave.

Popular Post damcrac5
Completion #16 Well. My Madden days might be numbered. First thing though. The list is the easiest Madden List out there. Shows me getting it done in around 7 hours. an hour of that was eating, another hour was setting up my spare account so I could knock out the online head-to-head trophy. If you were to pick the PS4 version up, a lot of the "frustrating" trophies aren't included, and can be done in under 3 hours. They are frustrating, because they appear buggy, and we don't really know why they pop when they pop. Either way, I wanted to get this Madden since Mahomes is on the cover, and as a Chief's fan, I just can't, not go for it. The reason why it might be my last new Madden is purely from the gameplay. I found myself mashing buttons trying to get the play to select, or to get through another menu. It just would feel unresponsive at times, which I am sure is dealing with loading. Next year's copy, which I assume will have Madden on it with his recent passing, will be a buy for me as well, but that might be it, except for my old school madden 11 I still need to play! I've been working a couple other titles. I finished God of War on Vita, while not on my list, it has been part of my backlog since August. I won't add it, since it was a relatively new addition. To go with that, my backlock games on this list might take a backseat to other back-logged games. Specifically, I am working Mass Effect 2 so I can knock out 3 before EA gets weird about their servers and makes that more difficult to complete. Then, I impulse purchased Ghost of Tsushima. I've been avoiding it since it has 30 hours of multiplayer. But, I'm going to try to be a better trophy hunter than that. I want to enjoy a game that everyone raves about. They say Legends mode is actually decently fun. Something I might invest an hour a day towards as I work on another title. If this goes well, then maybe, just maybe, I'll tackle The Last of Us (despite it's 30-40 hours of actual multiplayer, it does need 3 full runthroughs in order to get the 100%. At some time, I've actually got to finish Uncharted 2 and 3 so I can finish off my already started 4 and actually get back to a 100% list. Until then, the back log list below and the ones not-mentioned will battle for priority as we finish out the remaining three months. This year has started strong, with Madden and Salt and Sanctuary on Vita getting finished on the first day of the year. Heres to a great year of gaming! Popular Post KimBongUn420
Update #12: Happy New Year everyone! Made some progress in Far Cry Blood Dragon Classic. Unfortunately this "remaster" is just as poorly made as all of the reviews have indicated. Terrible input lag and the graphics look extremely dated. I still have the PC version of Blood Dragon from when it first released and booted it up to compare - somehow the Classic edition looks even WORSE than the original PC version from 2013. There is a weird, awful looking haze over everything in the Classic edition that's so bad it legitimately feels like you're playing the game through smog. Ubisoft did this game dirty, which is a shame because the original was a fun breath of fresh air in a genre that had become quite stale. I did end up adding Tales of Arise which is where most of my gaming time has gone this past week. Finished the main story and working on postgame completion. I have a lot of thoughts on this game but will refrain from posting them until I've got the plat, because I need time to put on my flame suit first ? For now I'm done adding new games for this challenge - I need to actually go back and finish Far Cry 6 at some point instead of putting it off for more JRPGs lol. Also found out from my employer right before Christmas I'm getting shifted to a new job in January, and I have no idea what it is or where it will be, so waiting on the dust to settle from that since if I have to relocate it will significantly eat into the amount of time I have for my hobbies. 2022 already shaping up to be an interesting year! I played it first before jumping into the single player. It feels like a grind at the start, getting your first character to level 20 feels like it takes ages, but in the early game you're restricted to the bronze and silver level modes. Once you get to gold, you start getting the really good gear and you can use it between all 4 character classes, so the other levelling up trophies don't take as long. I really enjoyed the survival mode. I still jump back in to play it even though I've finished all the MP trophies. The hardest part is the raid, you need to have a coordinated team to make it work. But that'll most likely be the last trophy you get ?
