Call of Duty: Vanguard artwork & editions leaked via Cold War game files

 

The artwork and logo for Call of Duty: Vanguard has leaked via the Black Ops Cold War game update, confirming an Open Beta.

The new Black Ops Cold War game update has revealed the artwork for the 2021 Call of Duty game, now appearing to be confirmed as Call of Duty: Vanguard.

 

Images have started to float around all over Twitter, Imgur, and Reddit of artwork showcasing the logo and key art for Call of Duty 2021, which will be named Call of Duty: Vanguard. These images have been found within the game files of Black Ops Cold War following its update to Season 5.

 

The leaks reveal that Call of Duty: Vanguard will have three editions similar to Black Ops Cold War: a Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle, and Ultimate Edition. Artwork for all three editions have been found via data mining of the new update.

 

Users have also found another image showcasing what’s included in the Ultimate Edition of the game, confirming an Open Beta Early Access.

The image also shows bonus Operator Skins for three characters, bonus weapons, and more content in edition.

 

 

The images confirm that Vanguard will have an Open Beta, with pre-orders getting early access to the said Beta along with other bonus content for the game.

This officially confirms the World War II theme that was rumored for the title for months.

 

Activision still has not officially announced Call of Duty: Vanguard. The company has been revealing Call of Duty games later in the year in then normal.

The images above will most likely be removed ASAP by Activision as we wait for the official reveal.

Reliable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has stepped in with claims that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be officially revealed next Thursday (August 19), likely via an event in Warzone. Apparently, Henderson has confirmed this with at least four sources, and some CoD content creators and other people have already been briefed about the event. A Tweet he made about the Vanguard reveal was recently deleted at Activision’s request, possibly lending more credence to the information.

Getting real tired of the ww2 setting personally, I find it limits them in terms of customization and weaponry. Doesn't help that they're almost always covering the same conflicts as well.

No you couldn't. Completely different developers. MW Remake series is made bei infinity ward and this is made bei sledgehammer games. If IW had to release this year that would shorten their 3 year development cycle.

Cod community is burnt out from SBMM, if it's here again I'm afraid to say lights out for the franchise. So many other shooters coming out getting allot more attention this year and of course the unofficial SM2 which looks amazing. I mean thanks for posting this new information as we finally have some information, Will Activision change their mind with the amazingly bad mistakes that have been made? Only time will tell. 

 

Ping is King, not safe places and SBMM. Let's not forget the unplayable Warzone which is still in the equation.

It's important for us to be heard though I'm afraid this will never be the case with the likes of Bobby Kotick. I hate to say it but I actually hope Acti/blizz get into an unfixable amount of shite with the case VS California. How such an amazing franchise can fall into a state of greed, there are millions of us that just want gamers making games again and the greed to stay with other franchises. The thing's that made COD so great, the things that have taken up hundreds of days of our lives are far more important in keeping this game alive in comparison to the direction COD is going.

Another WW2? This is like a nail in the coffin' for this franchise. Of course it will still sell well because it's "COD" but after Cold War (which had a great campaign btw.) it's over. Like the guy in the previous post said. There are so many and better games coming out. They killed a great franchise with SBMM and stupid lootboxes, Codpoints and other stupid greedy shit. Most of the MP maps sucks nowadays and WTF are those half lovely killstreaks?? Year after year it's more casual just to get the money out of these kids.

 

But Activision isn't dumb. If this Cod sucks again they will definitely do a MW2/MW3 or BO1/BO2 MP remaster to get the attention of the masses again but the difference is only the "newer" generation of Cod players will buy it. Activision will think "Yeah we will bring those OGs with an OG remaster of xx back"  but nah. The community changed, people changed, playstyles changed yadda yadda. Those times were pricless and not any remaster can bring those times back.

 

But these are my personal 2 cents. If you still wanna support this franchise, have fun. I'm done.

I kinda agree with you it was just the beginning of the Cod WW2 era which was a little bit disappointing imo. Those specific perks or attachments which were division based was a cool idea on a paper but bad in practice but after the complete rehaul of the MP when Michael Condrey left or changed his position (don't know anymore) the MP was great again. The base MP maps of WW2 itself weren't that bad and I actually enjoyed the new WAR mode a lot and yeah sniping was fun too!

 

It's just the WW2 setting which I never enjoyed and I totally agree with you when it comes to unlocking new weapons. WW2 and Infinite Warfare (yeah I know a lot of people hated it but I still enjoyed it) had the best ingame weapon unlocking systems in the whole cod series.

I think this is probably the first cod I skip. I was not a fan of the last sledgehammer game, especially the zombie component, but I'll save my judgement till I see gameplay. I have no confidence in this title, especially after the last couple have had some of the worst Multiplayers in the franchise.

For me best cod on PS4/one was infinite warfare and ghosts. Great campaign’s/ ost/ alien mode.

I miss the old days of cod. Ww2 was the last decent cod imo. It had a really good multiplayer and the zombies is pretty good. Haven’t played the campaign but can’t wait to play it. Main thing I dislike is it’s mostly a cash grab. Black ops 3 was about money but it cared about its players (best cod imo). I don’t need to say anything with the previous cods because they are fucking good

Activision are pretty dumb as they think the COD community are stupid.

 

I think my favorite COD has to be WAW so idk, there are ways to make things right and in WAW's case it was story and Atmosphere. I think AW was the true beginning of the end and since then the only 2 playable games imo are MWR and WW2. Even though WW2 was terrible at launch it really did come good eventually.

 

F'n loot boxes but more to the point SBMM and the f'n score streaks. Do we all know why every second of the game we have spy planes? Because Timmy no thumbs has killed the adequate amount of people to gain this even though he has died more times then not. Score streaks for everyone, no wonder the new players aren't learning the game since 2019. I mean we all sucked at one stage, for me it was cod 4 camping and using LMG's. Like everyone else I had to suck it up and learn the game, My first Attack Helicopter was a Holly F  moment for me.

 

My money is on Xdefiant and maybe the new BF

Yes we could have, it doesn't matter if it's different developers Activision owns the property and choose what each of these developers focus on. Also currently all their owned developers are working on CoD 24/7 in some capacity. I much rather have a proper sequel to a game that was changing the CoD formula into a more healthy approach then rehashing the same old, same tired era that every other fps game does as well. We need more original stories.

i was refering to multiplayer. Campaigns of advanced warfare and black ops cold war were really great and bo3 zombies + extinction from ghosts were fantastic coop modes. WW2 zombies kinda sucked, story was fun but not awesome, but the mp was great.

Every single developer has it's own signature. You can easily tell which developer made which cod without knowing, just bei playing the game. If another studio would continue a series and make it their own, fans would go mad. But they go mad anyways, so you might be right. They better not call that trash MW2022 Modern Warfare 2. Riot incoming then...
