Yeah, I know I can still have fun, but since I don't go for 100%, thought it'd be better to ask and make sure how this event works so I don't make mistakes if I decide to take part in this.

 

And I think I will take part in this.

 

As I said, I don't think I'd go for too many UR trophies in a row/in a short amount of time because I'd like them to be milestones (or at least make the  into milestones), so my list will have only one game. At least for the time being:

Battlefield Hardline (PS3 version which has a 4,18% rarity).

Icymind25, just an fyi, the Test Your Mettle/Complete 25 Competitive Matches trophy is no longer obtainable in Battlefield Hardline. EA stopped doing competitive seasons in December 2020. I believe all other BFH trophies are still obtainable. The game should still count for this UR competition. If I remember correctly, Copanele stated in 2021 a UR game still counts even if a player can no longer obtain 100% completion due to a server shutdown. Just get all the other UR trophies you can, including those awful, awful "10,000 kills each for four separate classes" trophies.

Swapped CB4 back in as it’s almost not UR anymore. After almost 5 weeks of daily trying to launch the game a few days ago it finally booted up. I left the game running for 4 days straight until I needed to play Payday 2. ? After that it didn’t launch again after many, many attempts but now it’s booted up again so I’ll leave it running again until the next Payday 2 session.

 

Really enjoying this game. Working on the Insanely Perfect Relics, which aren’t bad at all, and that’s a lot of fun. Not really looking forward to the Time Trials but let’s just blast through that. Hopefully I can get it to boot up a few times more. I’ll try to finish this game asap.

To be honest, the NPRs are bigger chore in my opinion. Some of the levels are extremely tedious when going for all boxes and I personally preferred Time Trials which were a lot more fun imo.

Everybody knows Trials Fusion, so it does not need any introduction.

I started this something like 2 years ago, the experience back then wasn't really positive as I decided to go for all the collectibles despite not having the best bike unlocked yet. That, combined with the fact I was a beginner and so I didn't know the various techniques made the run quite annoying. I also started some challenges but I couldn't continue in that mood once I reached Pipe Phobia.

So I was so bored from this game that i dropped it for good for like 2 years, before I came back to it. Since I didn't really know how to play the game when I left it, I didn't really lost my skills as I came back, since I had none anyway ?.

So, in oder to git gud I decided to go for DLCs first, and that part was quite tough. I spent well over 100h for all of them and the learning was quite slow, but eventually I learnt all of those techniques that are mandatory for the 100% such as throttle control, bunny hop, fapping and some more. It took me awhile to realize that the rear wheel is faster than the front one, since I figured that detail the physics started to make a bit of sense.

The difficulty from the DLCs come from clearing some extreme tracks, particularly Way of The Machine which is considered at the same level of Inferno IV if not worse, personally I don't know because the latter was the real last thing I did and I had a lot of experience already so i cleared it pretty much on my first try, while the former took me several days of practice and I had to get used to some techniques.

There are also some difficult trophies that gave me quite some problems, "Anger management" was quite tough even in the no fire version, the "Speedcuber" took me like 20h despite it doesn't look that hard, and the Dev times were annoying, particularly Sleepy Creek.

 

Anyway, after all that I had definitely improved a lot, so I started to clear the challenges of the main game, starting from Pipe Phobia which took me lsomething like 5h to do. This motivated me to continue on so I started to clear challenge after challenge, there were several that blocked me for like an hour but all in all the progress were going great, and eventually I reached the infamous Top Roach. People name this and Pipe Phobia as the hardest challenges to do, and some even name Pipe Phobia as the hardest: how, is out of my understanding.

Top Roach took me something like 15h to do, most of this time was spent figuring out how to pass the hardest checkpoints, once I had found out it was a matter of some extra hours to pull out a no faults run.

My difficulty rating goes between 9 and 9,5 mostly due to the large amount of difficult things to do. I felt pretty consumed from all this stuff, if there were no DLCs I may have rated it 8 or 8.5 instead.

This is a game where you must improve quite a lot before you can clear the most difficult parts of it, you will need to keep trying despite it is easy to feel like you are making no progress at all. Maybe the road map I followed (DLCs before clearing the challenges) is the best one to acquire experience.

 

 

I should clear Raiden 5 soon, it's just a grind at this point.

New (late) update, Chronicles of Teddy now 100%-ed! It's a somewhat cute 2D platformer that's pretty simplistic in it's nature (and a lot of collectible chests, some hidden in plain sight, other behind hidden walls), but the combat is sadly what kinda ruins the wholesome experience, because the enemy designs aren't just fun. When you're trying to trick shield enemy into crouching so you can hit him on the head, he can just forget that he's in a combat encounter and walk straight towards you (enemies deal contact damage), some slimes leave trail of fire behind them and like to walk away from you, so it's a waiting game, because your dagger (can't call it a sword) has a pitiful range and the final boss that I just had to cheese with the left corner strategy for avoiding attacks and bouncing on his weak point to make the fight shorter. But besides that, exploration is fun and new abilities are cool to use (especially that scroll which allowed you to charge an attack with bigger range), so it's not the worst way you can spend some time.

10 Second Ninja X has been fun, a great game to play when you don't have much time, I just have to get that minigame done (I suck at it, to be honest ?) and I'll be finished. And I've been trying to finish Splasher but the last speedruns are ~90 minutes long and I'm struggling to a) have that much time available to play in one sitting and b ) keep my concentration for that long. But it will come, it will come.

 

I'm planning on starting Yakuza Kiwami this week, it's been long since the last time I played a game with a significative plot, and Zero is one of the best things I've come across over the last years, so I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you for the information, Justice, but I already knew that ?. People boosted that trophy in a Discord server I'm in before it became unobtainable.

And I'm sorry, but I'll only go for the   if that's allowed since it's an UR trophy and was thinking about starting the SP soon after getting a few other s so I can make that trophy a milestone here on Profiles ?.

Also, I don't want to torture myself with that horrible grind for the 40K kills

Hey, quick update at least, Tera now platted! It's a fairly generic and very average MMO, which surprisingly for a MMO, has a pretty short plat, normally those kinda games require 200+ hours, but in this one, hitting the max level is a matter of few days, you can even make a reaper class character once you lvl up any character to lvl 40 previously, which starts at lvl 50 and finishes the tutorial on lvl 60, didn't even had to finish the story line.

 

Once you hit that level, you get access to very powerful weapons and armor for a month (those weapons had triple the attack of what I had at the moment), so going for the dungeons one after another was a breeze. The world bosses were however a big problem, because they have hidden spawn timers, other players can fight and kill them while you're checking for other spots, and the respawn timers are really long (some about 5-6 hours). Thankfully I got really lucky with the spawns, finishing off three lvl 68 bosses (the only ones from all required that are a challenge - and a big one at that), with two last ones fought one after another. So that's a shutdown secured... kinda, cuz there's still AS stack and I'm thinking of doing it, though I suspect that I'd have worse luck that time...

Completed my 6th game : OlliOlli 

 

 

OlliOlli is a side-scrolling 2D style skateboarding game. The control scheme is very basic, you use X to land, R1 or L1 to spin and the left stick to launch tricks. The purpose of the game is to score the most points by doing tricks and landing perfectly. Failing to ace your landing rewards you with only a fraction of the points that would have been earned had you gotten a perfect landing. Each level has 5 challenges to complete, once done you unlock the pro version of the stage with 5 harder challenges. Completing all 125 challenges will unlock RAD mode where you need to complete the full stage with only perfect tricks and landings. 

 

I had a lot of fun going for this game, it's easily the most enjoyable game I have played on this new profile so far. It's simple to control but challenging enough to keep you hooked. I needed a few tries on several levels in order to perfectly complete them, especially in RAD mode. What I noticed however is that I was still having fun even when I was struggling in a particular stage, sometimes even laughing at my own failures, and always wanting to retry again and again until I could get it done, a feeling I do not share with the other challenging games I went for recently (Pier Solar, Smash Cars ..) in which I get bored and frustrated very fast ? 

 

As for what's next, well I enjoyed the first one so much that I immediately booted the sequel right after finishing the original. I played for a little bit and it looks like a much more polished and evolved version of the first OlliOlli with added tricks and new gameplay aspects. I also intend to pop the platinum for my 500th milestone trophy. Fun times ahead ?

Raiden raises memories for sure, it was amazing the elitism I managed to trigger several years ago by clearing the 4th game, unfortunately I can't do the same with the 5th one since it is quite an easy platinum to get. Particularly because it introduces a save system, you don't need to do the current run in one sitting, you also get 3 checkpoints per stage and you can even restart them, this does not deny the 1cc run required (which you can do on Easy difficulty, I did that on Normal to reduce the amount of runs required). It could have been a bit difficult to get the true good ending since it requires not only a 1cc run but also some other requirements, but you can do this run in Practice mode where the enemies don't even shoot at you.

For the platinum you will have to clear the story a couple of times without that you need to touch anything harder than Normal difficulty (apart for a trophy that involves the first stage), then you will have to do some grind. Simple enough, if needed you can also pause-exploit, which works as flawlessly as Raiden 4.

I have been putting a ton of time into Yakuza 0. Just wanted to do some quick notes on some of the minigames.

Mahjong: Easy, got it done in a few hours. Mostly just had to familiarize myself with the hands and symbols. Was honestly fun to play again.

Casino Games: Annoying RNG with no cheat items in this game. But not too annoying.

Karaoke: Significantly easier then Kiwami.

Disco: Hard but doesn't seem crazy hard. I seem to do better with the sound off just focusing on the squares.

Cat Fights: RNG on top of RNG on top of more RNG. Who thought this was fun? Stupid as hell.

Batting: Who ever made this deserves to be in jail. Such bullshit. The window to hit the ball is so incredibly god damn small. I don't remember having nearly this much trouble with batting in Kiwami.
Darts: Beening forced to play drunk against AI that is crazy good is awful. Raged a lot here.

Other stuff like bowling, pool, telephone club, etc, has been about the same as I remember it in Kiwami / not very troublesome. Real Estate Royale is just a boring time sink. The club is a little more engaging but sill far too time consuming.

 

EDIT: Current timer in game shows my playtime at 66 hours. ~70% of the completion list done. Still on chapter 10. Have climax battles and legend mode to look forward too. I am guessing 120 hours total.

So anyways I'm reporting my second completion and a switch. I completed Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and will start playing The Phantom Pain next, which is barely not eligible for this event, and at some point very soon TERA, the game I'm switching in for Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. 

 

I absolutely loved Peace Walker when I played it back in 2015 and still remember most of it since I love the Metal Gear series, so Ground Zeroes is a very good, and sad, epilogue to that story (and some characters) and a great nexus between Peace Walker's and The Phantom Pain's stories. It sets the darker tone of TPP and explains why some characters evolved to be the way the are now. I just wish TPP was finished, it is a real shame. You can see the potential for more, but it is not realized. Still, both are great, incredibly detailed games and the new style of gameplay is awesome.
