Update: Yippee Kai Yay ********* because Velocity 2X is done! V 2X is a mix between shmup and sidescrolling running and gunning with platforming and puzzle elements. The gameplay is fast and you have to get PERFECT on all levels which means you have to get a gold medal on all stages without dying and there are some criterias like beat the level under a specific time, save all humans, collect all crystals and kill all enemies  and everything without dying once.

 

There are two DLCS. Which are just more levels and I found the second DLC harder than the first one.  The first one only had 1 annoying level and it was the last one and for the second DLC there were like 3 levels which I had a hard time with. But replaying the levels over and over again (the DLC levels are very short between 30 seconds up to 1 minute and 30) increases the learning curve. If you never heard of this game I HIGHLY recommend it. Here are two pictures of how this game looks like:

I made a couple of swaps. Unfortunately my PS4 refuses to read any disc at the moment so I have to swap out all of my disc based games. So out are Crash Bandicoot 4, Dragon Quest Heroes II and, ofcourse, my nemesis, Devil May Cry 5. I’m really annoyed by this by the way..

Have you tried lightly tapping the top of the PS4 where the disc would be after inserting the disc? My Pro started giving me issues with unrecognised discs and that’s the solution that works for me!

I did try that as I’ve also read this could solve the problem. Unfortunately, unless I was tapping at the wrong spot, it didn’t help. Thanks though.

What I will play instead is Arcana Heart 3. Lots of grinding, some skill based trophies, Japanese oriented, will make people question my choice in gaming  Pretty good trade-off!

Okay, so given how busy I am right now, I've decided, instead of putting stuff off or even dropping out, to revamp my entire list and, if I finish these up, coming back to the long stuff.  With that being said, I've swapped my entire list out.  I am kind of stoked to see what the new specials will be starting April 1st, but for now, here's my new list.  The bottom three are expendable depending on what the new set of Most Wanted end up being.

Tier 1 Update - Bleed (1.35%)

 

Have you ever wondered if "aggravation" could be considered an art form? If I were putting together an exhibit dedicated to such an art, this conventional, Matrix-esque run-and-gun platformer would fit right in with some of the most frustrating games I've ever experienced. Despite its brevity, Bleed sent my patience packing faster than anything I've touched since last year's Super Meat Boy Forever.

Like any classically-inspired platformer, you're expected to blast your way through seven short levels stuffed with hordes of opposing monsters and bosses. What sets Bleed apart is the ability to briefly slow down time and dash up to three times in mid-air. On paper, these may sound like the ingredients for a stand-out platformer, but they fall flat against uninspired level design and maddening boss patterns.

You'll enjoy a few fleeting moments of fun dashing around in slow motion before quickly losing steam when you trudge through the same hum-drum level layouts you've seen in hundreds of other platformers bookended by low-effort bosses with poorly telegraphed attacks (I often had to spam slow motion to anticipate certain moves because I could never get a clear read). The cherry to top this frustrating buffet of errors is the game's "Arcade" mode in which you're tasked with beating the entire game with a single life. 

 

Bleed's hardest trophies involve beating Arcade mode on all four difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Very Hard). On "Hard" and "Very Hard," certain boss patterns can feel mercilessly unfair, your health bar might as well be made of paper, and the levels are stuffed with even more mindless fodder than they already were. Here's my run on Very Hard if you'd like to judge the game for yourself. I respect Bleed's vision and feel it could have been so much better with more time in the oven, but found very little to love with what's on display here...

I also finished Neon Drive (1.17%) a few weeks back! @Cruscah and @Eqill5 have already covered the gist about this rhythmic indie arcade, but I enjoyed my time with it much more than Bleed (aside from a few sections that leaned too heavily on memorization).  

I'm also making a few (hopefully final) swaps!
I'm swapping out Yakuza 0, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, and Crawl for Towerfall Ascension, Thumper, and Dirt Rally.

Heyo! In that situation, if that happens and the platinum becomes unobtainable due to launcher migration (weird thing), the game is automatically counted as completed.

That rule is available for every game with sudden server shutdowns, if you play any other game and the servers/game client gets axed, that one counts as a completed game.

Arcana Heart 3 (1.26%)

Difficulty: 7/10 (Psnow)

Fun: 2/10

Time spent: about 50h

 

So, I thought I would have skipped this game, but since it was on Psnow I couldn't resist to another UR.

My experience for ps3 games from PsNow had always been positive, as I could not really notice the infamous delayed inputs until i actually jumped into this game. That's when I had realised that there is a delay of about half a second, which has inevitably increased the difficulty because there are some combo trophies and they took me a bit of time, particularly a combo that I did in about 5h of attempts. Doesn't help that another combo trophy does specifically deny you to spam inputs in its description, and another that has a stricted dpad inputs that get faster and faster and can't be spammed neither. But all in all it wasn't too bad.

The rest of SP is mostly quite a tedious grind.

The MP is nowhere as horrible as the trophy guide says, it takes about 20h (or 10h if you self boost).

 

If anybody wants to do this game, and I shall warn you @Copanele, the guide on .org is a mess: it has a lot of mistakes, particularly there is a trophy where the writer decided to go for a full explanation of the Poker card game rather than just telling which combos to do (like TA does), but bad guides look typical for most of the old fighting games. TA is a good alternative, although sometimes it does not go in good details, and a few errors are located there as well, if I'm not mistakening. So I recommend to alternate between the 2 guides, using mostly TA.

 

 

Since I can't find someone for Victor Vran, I think I will just do it solo, it shouldn't be that bad with backups. Trials Fusion will most likely take me at least 1 month.

Thanks for the heads-up! Heh I did encounter the "quality" of the .org guide when going for that Atatatata trophy, in the end I found it in a random comment that I can just turbo one bumper button then mash the other 4. It is an old guide in the end, but yeah...quality is eeh.

 

And yes I can confirm also, the online boosting is not as awful as expected. Took me a total of 205 ranked fights to complete the online trophies (level 10 with a character and level 3 with the rest), I could have definitely done it in under 200 fights if I didn't mess up some inputs, thus losing the "Super ender" points.

Glad you got this one done. I'm in the same situation with starting it literally days before they announced the new launcher swap. This store RNG is going to be the death of me. 

How'd you end up getting the team related trophy? I'm guessing a team game finally came around? I've seen 2 of them the whole time I've played

After grinding Squads Shows for several hours, I switched to Main Shows, and saw Fall Ball 4 times in 2 hours (though maybe I was just lucky). It was usually the fourth event for me.

 

Also, the new event where you keep jumping (I forget the name) is good for grinding the 500 qualifications.

 

Keep at it; you got this.

 

EDIT: By team related trophy, I'm assuming you meant Down to the Wire.

Quick update. Just switching Dungeon Siege III for Dauntless.

 

So I've been playing Dauntless with 2 friends, and also by myself. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying it. Most of the trophies have come naturally while aiming for some good gear and having fun with friends. A little grindy sometimes but fun! I only started it a few days ago and I made a lot of progress already so I'm just making sure I add it before I get all of the URs lol

Yeah, down to the wire, that's the one. 

Yeah, this event will be good for qualifications which I'm not worried about actually. I know I can easily 100% this given enough time, it's just the RNG that worries me haha. Hoping this Golden Goal event really is coming in a few days, and also hoping the store starts to be nice to me.

Completed the 5th game on my list : Quantum Theory. 

 

If anyone is interested, I wrote a review on my checklist here. It's basically an outdated shooter with dodgy aiming mechanics and clunky platforming. The storytelling was also pretty underwhelming. Trophy-wise, it's a big online grind with some trophies requiring up to 8 players along with speedruns boss battles on hard. Sometimes it felt like the poor mechanics made the game harder than what it should've been. I did the online part a few months ago and decided to finish up the single player this week. I'm glad I can cross this off my list.

 

 

On another note, I didn't make much progress in the eternal slip minigame in Pier Solar and I'm also kind of losing my motivation so I'm not sure if I will be able to get it done before the bounty expires

Gonna quickly swap out TSR for Fantasy Strike as I've just completed that. Meh game, most trophies are really easy, even the ranked wins were no problem for a fighting game noob like me. The survival was a pain in the ass though, partly because of crashes, but also cause even with the exploit it took a while to get through them. Especially the 50 match run took very long because of the amount of resets I needed.

 

So just Dandara left in my Tier 1. I'm also very close to finishing Hustle Kings, so might have to quickly swap that too, depending which one of the two I finish first.

I finished Team Sonic Racing a week ago. Besides some multiplayer and misc trophies, most of the time is spent in team adventure mode. You can only play the adventure mode in local COOP or alone, which made this a pain in the arse. You drive with 2 others as a team and try to win and gather the most points in a race/grand prix.

Literally every race came down to: drive casually til lap 3, then use team boost close to the finish line to win. Some challenges made this even worse, for example all three members of your team need to survive elimination race, and your AI team mates screw around at 12th or 11th place ..

I also dislike Sonic in general, so this definitely didnt help either.

 

Rayman Legends on the other hand was quite fun, first I didnt enjoy the early chapters but later ones were really unique and creative in level design. Especially the "music" levels were fun. 

Now its only a matter of time to reach Awesomeness Level 11, which can only be achieved by playing dailies and weeklies.

 

Then I also started Dirt Rally (so much for clean-up ..). I did the boostable trophies with @ExistentialSolid and do some progress every day. Overall its a much easier experience than Dirt Rally 2.0, though my mindset is terrible atm, like I think all trophies in Rally 1 belong to me, simply cause I did 2.0 already. Stoopid.

Well this has been a fun game. Wasn't as difficult as I expected, the hardest challenge in the game was to not get distracted by the obvious fan-service that was thrown at me.
