Popular Post damcrac5
Update #2 This was much more thorough and thought out, but I lost my write-up... So this will be much shorter, and personally disappointing. Control: Ultimate Edition I won this game on a youtube livestream by Platinum Chasers several months ago, and knew I needed to get it done. At first, I really enjoyed the game, and the gameplay is still a lot of fun. However, towards the end of the main story, and definitely throughout the DLC, I lost interest in why I was doing things, mostly by how confusing the story got to follow. Needless to say, I ended up using Optinoob's guide to finish this one off, and get it complete. Happy I played it, just felt the story either went a little to long, or got too convoluted. Cat Quest 2 What a fun little game. I've heard nothing but good things about this game, and it delivered. It was especially nice because it was easy enough for my kid to play with me. Being able to actually enjoy a game, while also enjoy playing with my kid was great. Single player or co-op, I'd recommend this title. I'll play the first one down the road. Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS Vita) Managed to get it done. Part of my struggles where using an armor that drained stamina, thus making the aiming of my gun move all over the place, the other part is trying to manage my aim while using my Vita. Shooting a tiny frog from a moving motorcycle with an unsteady weapon was too much. As soon as I switched it up, I managed to clear each area within a handful of attempts. However the frog trophy didn't pop at the end of the game. Luckily, thanks to @rjkclarke telling me about it, I started a NG+ and as soon as I got to frog 22, the trophy and the plat popped. Took me about 90 minutes but at least I didn't have to do the motor cycle section again. Wild 40-ish minute cutscene to end the game, but I do understand why people like the game. I don't feel like it has aged all that well, and the trophy list is a pain, but I'm glad I have it on my list now. Would recommend the PS3 version for others, and a blind playthrough before speed-running the collectibles. Outside of those three games, I am making progress on Elden Ring. I'm using Fighting Cowboy's quality build using the Bloodhound Fang as the main weapon. I'm about to get to the first real skill/level check, so I will have to see how that goes. I also finished Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition's multiplayer trophies. Now I can plug away at the story trophies, which having played 30 minutes, I know I'll enjoy(will have to be a swap). Might start working away at TLOU multiplayer while I am at it every other day or so. My only other title going to get attention is Sly Cooper Thieves in Time on my Vita. This will be my title while on break at work. Happy hunting! Catch you guys in the next update. Popular Post willythom88
One down with Adventures of Mana! I ended up liking it more than I thought I might but at the end of the day, it's still not a particularly strong game. I think it's a fine first action RPG, but I wouldn't recommend it personally. Going in on Secret of Mana or Rime next. Probably Secret to get a bulkier title done.
Popular Post reaperveteran86
Update #2 - Super Neptunia RPG 13% - Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal 25% -> 62% - Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez 32% - Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age 17% - Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception 33% - Biomutant 7% - We Happy Few 5% - Valkyria Revolution 30% -> 100% - Blair Witch 0% - The Sojourn 100% - Maitetsu: Pure Station 0% - Trine: Enchanted Edition 2% -> 20% - Shantae: Risky´s Revenge - Director´s Cut 19% - The Dark Eye: Memoria 0% I (finally) completed Valkyria Revolution, which was the main game I played since my last update a week ago. I also made progress in Trine (1/3 of the first playthrough done) and Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal (I finished the good shinobi storyline and have to play through the evil one next). Valkyria Revolution: I have only played a little of the other games in the series (I have Valkyria Chronicles 1,2 and 4 but they are deep in my backlog) so I can not say, how good or bad this one is in comparsion to the others (but I heard, that VR is consideret as the black sheep of the series). Which that out of the way, I liked this game. It is by no means a must have or something like that, but it has it strong points. The artstyle was beautifull and detailed, the cutscenes were fully voiced (I played with japanese voices) and the gameplay had this hack and slash hook to it (similar to the musou/warriors games). I liked the story too, but the way it was presented (long cutscenes with a lot of speaking) gives the game a very slow feeling. The same goes for the gameplay. The aforementioned musou gameplay has an Active Time Battle component to it (like the one in the Final Fantasy series) which makes it feel slow. The platinum was also very grindy, because you get only very little money from missions and you need ca. 320 000kr of it to get 2 of the trophies (as I had finished everything else trophy wise I had only 140 000kr).
Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys. Hope you've had a good week. Very minor progress for me. Due to poor staffing at my hospital I did an extra day and then a night shift leaving zero time for games... well about 10 hours across the week. For the challenge I should have focused on Dying Light 2 collectables mopping etc, but feeling tired and brain dead I just played Deep Rock Galactic instead. I managed to get another promotion and very close to a third class promotion. Having a lot of fun with this still, starting to get better at finding the best progression opportunities (just completed 30 minute mission for 30000 xp!). This week I'll try and focus on getting a few more trophies from story driven games. Have a good one Spoiler Deep Rock Galactic 34% > 36% Dying light 2 64% Elden Ring 8% Horizon Forbidden West 10% Legend of Heroes: Tales of Cold Steel 2 10% Muv-Luv Alternative 16% Nier Replicant 31% Okami 18% Sakura: Of rice and ruin 14% Undermine 37%
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 4 - I managed to get the Grand Theft Auto V platinum, which marks my first platinum of the challenge! What a fantastic game that was, the online part of the platinum was something I did about 5 years ago now, but the story mode was a joy to play from start to finish. My only criticism about the story mode trophies were the Stunt Jumps, good lord they were tedious, but other than that, it was incredibly satisfying to platinum. I doubt i'll ever return for the DLC trophy sets, but i'm totally fine with that. It's crazy to think this game came out back in 2013 and is now going to appear on three different generations of console. Next up is to push on with more Divinity: Original Sin over the coming days. Hope everyone is making the most of the last bit of the weekend Catch you all later! I can’t say that I really enjoyed it, but it’s of the list now for good! It took way longer to complete than I initially thought it would. For the Arcade minigame I had to make use of the cross save function as I just couldn’t get them done on the Vita with the controls. Got them all with the PS3 controller first try. This was actually the only game I played so no further updates on the other ones, but I think I’m going to do dive in to Homefront: The Revolution the next couple of days. Not sure if I should do one run on hard or do one on easy first and then do the hard run… I’ll let you all know in the next update! In the meantime keep it up everyone I’m loving the progress so far! I loved Divinity, but the learning curve is pretty steep and almost every trophy is missable. Honour mode is no joke, but I ended up speed running it with the God box method ?. Also I played it local co op with my husband. The online co op only gives the trophies to the host, which is a bit of a pain
Popular Post FreddySM14
Update ? Hello everyone hope life treat you all well. I finally done with my first game What's next? What do we do? Where do we go? Difficulty 2/10 Enjoyment 8/10 Time to plat around 25 hours Here's my experience getting the plat that may or may not contain spoilers. I'll put it inside spoiler tag just in case. This is probably the easiest survival game outhere. You can survive without need to steal, kill or go to dangerous place. That's good since melee combat is awkward and the result randomly generated. I never engage in combat unless I have firearm with me. The trophy that got me troubled actually Diary : Back from the brink. You need to make your character mood to be "broken" then heal it back up to at least sad. Make your character broken actually very easy : just kill few civilian and rob 'em. Trying heal it back up on the other hand.. quite a challenge for me. Thing is character with broken status will become useless, they just sit and cry. You need to babysit all the time. My advise is to do one playtru focus solely for this trophy otherwise you'll got overwhelmed like I did. Another trophy that I'm worried about was Diary : We made a Stand. This is the only trophy that require luck. You need to survive a random event called "Outbreak of Crime". After completed 2 full playtru, I never encounter this event ever. Turn out the trick is just to set the crime intensity to High, making the chance to happen almost 100%. Those two the only memorable trophies, the rest I got naturally or got on first try via custom story. I enjoy the game but not sure want to call it a fun game. Dialogue was depressing, atmosphere grim and dark, bgm is eerie with distant mortar and gunfire. Character voice only sighing, crying and just sad noises. Truly portrayed the horrors of war. There's no better way to end my thought without saying #FuckTheWar. I'm currently playing Batman Blackgate on Vita. The map is so confusing, I think it'll be while before my next update ?

(PS4) 0% Games Completed 2/13 I sort of felt like I needed to add those three titles there. Let's hope that thirteen doesn't turn out to be an unlucky number. Peaky Blinders I thought I'd add as the sixth series is airing currently so what better time than right now to play it, whilst I'm actually in the mood for it. Chicken Police, I just.... well actually I don't need an excuse to play a game as a chicken detective called Marty MacChicken. NieR is one of those oversights that I just neglected to think of when I was throwing my list together - I'd forgotten that I'd planned to do something I wouldn't usually do, which is to set aside a specific milestone (Platinum #350). The original NieR is quite possibly my favourite game of all time, so it seems only right that I can make the Remaster/Alternative version something special. I'll throw out a few thoughts about the games then. Thoughts on Little Nightmares. I'll just paste in my thoughts from the ultra rare cleanup update for this one - seems easier that way. If you haven't played Little Nightmares yet then you absolutely should - it's an absolute stunning video game - it has got some of the best art direction I've ever come across in video game form. That's not even scratching the surface of it, almost every element of it absolutely works to an incredibly impressive degree. The sound design is immaculate, the soundtrack itself is so unsettling, yet situationally perfect. There are so few games that effectively build atmosphere the way this game does. It's incredibly impressive. Little Nightmares also contains some of the best DLC I've ever played - that's perfect for this event too, because it means you couldn't miss out on that amazing extra content. It must be said, this is definitely not an especially taxing completion - difficulty is subjective, of course, but once you start to get to grips with how Six moves and her own weightiness, it will start to make the Hard to the Core trophy a little more manageable. It sounds cliched, but this really is a case of practice makes perfect. I really loved my time with this, and I'm very interested in playing the sequel further down the line too. If you wanted to read my more detailed thoughts on the game - here's my Little Nightmares review in full. Thoughts on Child of Light. I absolutely didn't expect to enjoy this game quite as much as I did. I wouldn't say that I have a love/hate relationship with turn based RPG's these days, but I certainly don't have quite the same tolerance for them that I used to. I don't know why either, I just really have to be in the mood for them now, whereas when I was much younger I could pretty much play any one you'd throw at me. I was really surprised by how excellent the visual aspect of this game is - I'd heard very good things about it, yet I didn't quite expect it to be like it was, it's very unique and I think that is absolutely to its credit. I really think this is a good one though - versatile combat and a battle system that is not too dissimilar to Final Fantasy X, in my book that can't be a bad thing. Child of Light also boasts an absolutely beautiful soundtrack, although as I mention in my review it's one that I definitely struggle to want to listen to, as it's just hauntingly sad in places. I'm sure plenty of you will have played this by now, but if its on your backlog and you've been putting it off for years like me, then for me at least it was a pretty great time, and it likely won't set you back more than about twelve hours. If you wanted to read my more detailed thoughts on the game, as usual I'll drop a link for them here. Keep up with the awesome progress everyone - just like the last event, even just reading along with all of your progress is helping to keep me motivated, and that can only be a good thing! @damcrac5 - I'm super glad that you were able to load that clear game data and get that one pesky frog nailed down. Those can be a real pain, and like you mentioned at least it wasn't one of the bike chase ones. You have got a backlog that I'm almost envious of, to be able to play some of those amazing games again for the first time would be such a treat, and you have got a hell of a lot of good times ahead of you with those by the looks of things. Also I'm really glad you had an awesome time with Cat Quest II, those games are so much better than they have any right to be, there's just something so satisfying about them, even better that you got to experience them with your kid too! I guess I'll catch you all in the next one!

Popular Post iXanon
Update #2 Final Fantasy VII (PS4) - 21% (D) > 30% (C) > 100% (S) Heavy Rain (PS3) - 11% (E) Need for Speed: Rivals (PS4) - 44% (A) Resident Evil 4 (PS4) - 26% (D) Saints Row: The Third (PS3) - 26% (C) Needless to say, I didn't expect this already.. but Final Fantasy VII is finished! ? I was really quite shocked at just how quickly you can become massively OP in this game, similar to Final Fantasy X. There's still a bit of a grind involved with levelling up materia, but it's so much quicker than I anticipated using Triple AP growth weapons and Double AP growth armour with the magic pots and mover enemies at the Northern Crater (and of course, X3 speed).. Turns out you really don't need God mode. I found a bit of a cheap tactic for defeating Emerald Weapon which involved the Knights of the Round summon and Final Attack materia, so I made a save before the battle just in case I fancied doing it "legit". I probably won't bother though, the same tactic doesn't work on Ruby Weapon, which is the harder battle and still turned out to be pretty easy being so OP.. and the final Sephiroth / Jenova battles are just laughable at that point! I'm undecided on which game to focus on next, possibly Saints Row: The Third since that feels like another hefty obstacle in terms of finishing this challenge..

Popular Post ferginator88
Update #2 Elden Ring continues to dominate my gaming schedule. I'm at 62 hours in and probably not even halfway through the game. Thankfully some really good trophy guides have come out for the game and I've used them to ensure I get the platinum in one playthrough! I have all of the legendary weapons, sorceries, ashes, etc. that are available to me at this point in the game, and I've done all the bosses in the first half of the game also. I've also had the chance to boost some Medal of Honor MP trophies and tackled some of the more difficult ones. Just need to play a bit more of each game mode and hit max level and the online stuff is done. However, the SP trophy for beating all levels under "par" time is giving me some trouble. The game isn't hard, but in this mode, if you die you have to start from the beginning of the level. Some levels have a par time of 20 to 30 minutes, so it can be really demoralizing to die at the last section. It's also really hard to determine what your present health is. I've done 2 of 9 levels, so will continue to knock these out 1 or 2 levels per day. 1. Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate - PS Vita - 19% 2. Medal of Honor - PS3 - 38% > 78% 3. Popular Post Static_Rook
Update 2 - 3/14/2022 No progress. Not a lot of gaming time this week. I played some more Elden Ring but didn't make any trophy progress. Then I was gone all weekend for some family stuff. So it's a big ol' nothingburger for this update. And now I'm going to dig myself even deeper by adding another game to my list: Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. I'm kinda bad at this whole "not overdoing it" thing. The plan for this week is to keep playing Elden Ring and get it ready to plat by the 28th. FFO will be my secondary game until I finish Elden Ring and then I'll focus on it. VR in itself isn't a bad game per se, but as you said it is the black sheep of the series. Its gameplay is vastly different from 1,2, and 4, which is what I think turned so many against it. They were wanting more of Valkyria Chronicles 1 (still stands IMO as one of the best game on the PS3). If they were to have packaged VR as a stand-alone game separate from the Valkyria name, it probably would have gotten a better reception. And yes that grind was terrible, had to run through the same 1-minute mission so many times.
Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Update 2 1. Sly 2: Band of Thieves (37%) 2. Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage (24%) 3. A Plague Tale: Innocence (17%) 4. Infamous (26%) >> 40% 5. Bully (1%) 6. Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (1%) 7. Infamous 2 (0%) 8. A Musical Story 45%) >> 100% I finished A Musical Story! Some of the songs that I thought would be hard turned out to be easy and the ones I thought would be easy had me repeating for a full day. I guess I’m not too good at rhythm games, but unlocking that bonus chapter and getting the platinum felt good after all the frustration. I wasn’t the first platinum achiever for the whole game (someone in ps5 beat me to that), but I was the first (and still only) on ps4 and that’s pretty cool. inFamous has been fun, I’m at a boss battle right now on a bridge. I’ve been trying to get all the blast shards I can find, but I’m going to have to break out a guide, there are just too many of them and no way of tracking how many I have already. I’m playing on hard first because the game put me on it, which was funny because I’d just jumped off a platform and died before the message popped up telling me how great I was doing at the game. I’m not sure if it’ll count for playing the whole game without changing difficulty, but it hasn’t been too bad so I can play hard mode again on my evil play through if I need to. I’m hoping to get the platinum this week, then I’ll hopefully finish A Plague Tale or Bully
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Loving the updates folks! great reading when I drink my morning coffee This isn't an update on my end, but more of a heads up that I'm going to use my first swap to bring in Ghostwire Tokyo into my list. It's looking like a huge amount of fun for me and the gameplay & story seems right up my alley. As for what I'll swap, I'm thinking Dying Light 2 because as much as I want to jump in properly, I still don't think it's where I want it to be just yet. It might sound like a tiny gripe, but I really want to be able to max my character out like I could in Dying Light. Right now there aren't enough inhibitors in the game to fully upgrade both Health and Stamina. There is also no NG+ which I think this game was built for and the developers mentioned that it could be in the works soon enough. I loved what I played so far, but for me personally, I still think it needs some more time to bake in the oven before i'm ready to immerse myself properly. Divinity: Original Sin - 11% Beyond: Two Souls - 10% Dying Light 2 - 24% > Ghostwire: Tokyo - 0% GTA V Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 0%
Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Here's my weekly update. I'm making good progress on Cook, Serve Delicious 3, the game is getting more challenging tho at the end. I'll keep at it and I hope the platinum won't take me much longer. I've already put a lot of hours in this game. I only made a bit of progress on Horizon, because I've been playing Fall Guys outside of the challenge. I was able to get the infallible trophy finally because of an event and I'm going for the platinum now. It's a bit of a grind, but the game is fun. I'm adding a Short Hike to the challenge, I heard good things about it and should be a nice palate cleanser in between the longer games. 1. Cook, Serve, Delicious 3! - 45% --> 70% 2. Horizon Forbidden West - 28% --> 30% 3. Life is Strange Remastered - 0% 4. Life is Strange: Before the Storm - 0% 5. The Escapist; The Walking Dead - 37% 6. A Short Hike - 0% Swaps: 0/2 Edited March 15, 2022 by Fanatixa1
