@LastMinuteSavior

Good Luck on your surgery

I never thought this topic would blow up! Most of my forums get lost in the database. But this? This just made my day with all the repiles I got. Thank you all!!

Me too, great work mate. Yesterday, I made a post half expecting the topic to get locked or deleted within hours.

I am surprised and glad it didn't, it is nice when topics don't suddenly vanish or get merged into an off topic one for no good reason.

So we just have to await the return of @LastMinuteSavior I am sure all will be great. :)

I was always the guy looking from the outside, and that still rings true to this day. Was born autistic, was able to open up DOS Prompt on a Windows 95 computer from a very early age. Did repetitive tasks like stacking blocks and turning the wheels of a toy car. Could not talk well or make friendships to save my life.

i feel for you. was also born autistic but have met some incredible Friends over my time. but my early life was like you, took a while for me to get diagnosed as autistic, didn't say my first word until i think about 2 years old but struggled with sentences until about 6 years old? i not sure. also had other problems which are too many to list here. but now i am quite happy and have quite a few of lifelong friends. i feel like it's important to socialise and make some friends who you can talk to if anything goes wrong.

im slowly becoming one of those *last online x months ago etc.* i rarely game anymore. i mostly dabble here and there. my ps4 is a glorified streaming device. youtube hulu etc is almost all i use it for these days. gaming just doesn't hold the same interest for that it used to. i love god of war right, but its gotten to the point i dont know if ill bother with ragnarok. the last few games ive gotten i played for maybe an hour and was like "well this is boring" and moved on.

I'm not a Kardashian.

You won't catch me on a hospital unless my life literally depends on it.

Kim Kardashian will go to social media to complain if her hair color isn’t exactly the perfect shade to her.

Glad to hear you recovered.

This year my gaming performance declined due to my worsening depression and other personal problems that discouraged me from playing. I used PS3 more to watch streaming than to play games.

However, at the beginning of this semester I already looked for help, I am taking care of myself now. 1f60a.png

I feel too shitty to play anything sometimes too.

I have 2 people on my friends lists, one died suddenly from a rare illness and the other took his own life a few years ago. Both of whom were buddies I hung out with in real life.

Definitely won't be deleting them off my list but it is weird that their lists become a shrine to what they were playing throughout their Playstation gaming lifetime. I do look at them from time to time, not sure why.

PSN is not much older than 10 years, but I dare say in another 10 or 20 years there are going to be a whole ton of accounts that just stopped one day.

For sure, life should be cherished.

What CelestialRequiem resonates with me. I mean, your trophy list is tied to your purchase history and in turn to you directly.

Like if I died, I probably would give it over to my son, if you want access to those games, due to DRM and DLC etc, it's tied to your account so your only option is just to play on someone's elses account, the one with all the games purchased for it. It probably wouldn't seem all that strange if your family started using your account when you were no longer around since unlike physical, you can't just give it to somebody else. Another disadvantage to digital purchases certainly and all those games that were delisted and only available on this particular account...

I only have one real life friend on my list who passed away. He passed in Nov 21. He was a really good friend of mine and I too look through his trophies/messages sometimes.

I was talking to his son the other day and he didn't want to take over the account. So it'll just keep saying longer and longer since he last logged in. ?

I've become just old enough that there are online friends I've not talked to/seen in years, some for very specific reasons, that I hadn't thought about it awhile. Back when I started doing guides for GFAQs, I became tight with a guy two states away from me. We were breaking down the way 'stats' are calculated in SNES Simcity for eventual posting when he suddenly stopped responding. I was later contacted by his brother saying he had a sudden massive heart attack at 22.

Used to chat all the time with a few guys on Neopets. From Y2 to Y8 we talked on a near daily basis, until it just...stopped. One had a bunch of kids all at once and decided to cut down on his internet time. We still talk every now and then. Other guy died in a car accident. Third guy just vanished. Had a unique username just for Neopets, so there's virtually no way to look'em up. Fourth guy was a pedophile, as it turned out, and was arrested for chatting up a kid, pics involved. Not really sad about him being gone, but still you think you know a guy.
