Yeah, there is a blue sky and the logo has tones of blue in it, so that will work. Spider-man: Miles Morales  - Black

The Spider-man games are fun, I do have to hand it to them on that one.  This one, though, was really short.  I'm not sure if it just stood out to be more than the first one but when I ran through NG+ it took me only a few hours.  Which is really just...super short to me.  The story was good, I like Miles.  I would recommend this game but only on sale.  It was definitely a bit glitchy, though, more than I would have expected.

Update time! I finished up Evil West for my red entry. I had Asura's wrath for red but I'm moving that to the 2nd rainbow if I ever get there because I just wasn't having much fun on my 3rd play through of that game. I thoroughly enjoyed Evil West though. Combat was fluid and smooth, environments were really nice to look at, and there was a nice variety of weapons and skills to keep things interesting. The story and dialogue were a bit cheesy but overall the game was really good imo. 8/10

It's finally done!

No, not my rainbow of games just the one for green... Tales of Symphonia.

It took me almost a year (on and off) to finish it. The game is not particularly hard but it does require a lot to be done. I put in about 250 hours if not more.

I was hoping to be done with it before the remaster of the game was released but things didn't quite work out. Oh well. It's an excellent RPG, nothing short of what one would expect from a "Tales of" game, tho solving dungeon puzzles for the 4th time was getting tedious (yes this game will require at least 4 full playthroughs just for basically minor scene changes tied to trophies). Be prepared for heavy use of multiple guides if anyone is planning to play it.

 

 

That right side is starting to fill up nicely but the left is still blank. The game(s) I'm about to play is/are still for the right.

Completed Resident Evil 2 Remake for my light blue color.  Its a really good game but I didn't enjoy the platinum experience.  It has a lot of elements I dislike when going for the platinum: collectables, speedruns for S rank while going back and forth across a map to solve puzzles, limited inventory space for one particular trophy, limited saves on hardcore difficulty (I'm a busy dad and not having the opportunity to save whenever possible can be a real problem), etc.  But I would highly recommend the game as it is excellent.

RE4 works for Blue - the overall effect of it definitely has a blue hue. ?

 

FFXV is only really black for the main game image - though it has a lot of DLCs with their own images, which work for a few other colours.

 

Atomic Heart is probably best as a White - that seems most dominant in both PS4 and PS5 images.

I’m really struggling to find one. I’ve seen a lot of people use guardians of the galaxy which is a good shout, but that one is out for me as completed prior to the event.

I was actually going to say this before - Maroon is a difficult colour to find, but Red is not...

 

...if I were you, I would strongly consider swapping Inscryption to Maroon.

 It is a perfect Maroon spot, and finding a different Red would probably be much easier than finding another Maroon one...

 

... particularly since you are looking for physical ones - I can suggest a few Maroon colours, but it seems virtually every one I've played is a PSN digital-only game.

I will definitely do that, red is much easier for me to find.....speaking of which, whilst I have you in such a benevolent frame of mind...are you absolutely certain that the ps5 image for atomic heart couldn’t be used for red? Lol, or is that definitely in direct non compliance with the overarching ‘don’t take the piss’ ruling?

Been a while since I've updated my gamecard.  The latest is:

 

Tan: The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - finished this one before it left town.

 

Orange: Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas - This one sat on my backlog for a while but this event got me off my butt to finish it.

 

Pink: The Artful Escape - Highly recommended to me and it was a really a great game!

 

Light Green: Chicory - One of the best games I've played in a long time.  HIGHLY recommend it!

A pretty clear Green for this one!

 

A kickstarted Indie, designed to be a tribute to SNES era Nintendo rigs (specifically, and unashamedly aping A Link to the Past).

 

It's pretty good - fun, has some good chip-tune music, and definitely evokes A Link to the Past in it's good moments... but it does have some issues - like hit boxing being a bit of an issue, the map being a bit of a chore to navigate at times, and it generally just feeling a little too "the-same... but-different!"

 

Not to mention a pretty ridiculous trophy glitching issue, that resulted in having to do an entire new playthrough to unlock one trophy that I already did...

 

Still though - on the bright side, this is a pretty well made (for a very small team), fun, loving tribute to a bonafide classic - and aside from some frustrations, was a genuine pleasure to play - hitting a lot of real nougat-soft nostalgia beats for me!

Hello all, I'm back with my 12th game which makes me a Rainbow Warrior! And this time it's probably the most obscure game out of the list of one's I've picked so far, I bet , it's a light blue colour comes to us from little known Kinectica on the PS2, their latest game is God of War: Ragnarok.

 

 

In all seriousness, I've never been as enamoured with the God of War franchise as most people, my brother had bought the third game in 2010 and neither of us liked it, but both of us did very much enjoy the 2018 game which seemed so much more mature and thought provoking. (I saw someone complaining, saying that the original trilogy was as mature as the 2018 game, then someone replied with the sex minigame in number 3, so I'm standing by my point.) 

 

I've seen a lot of people call Ragnarok more of 2018, and I agree, but if that's true, why do I think it's a lot better, well part of it is the fact that I like characters being nice and forgiving and the original was all about Kratos and Atreus becoming complete people after their shared grief, and Ragnarok has a much larger cast and lots of smaller stories. Part of this is because of how I play games, I don't play them in one big blow-out which the 2018 game would have benefited from being one long character study, but Ragnarok is pieces building up to a war, and it's easier to pick up and put down when switching between the the playable characters.

 

One thing worth noting though in this review of sorts, is that gameplay is just like the original, it's good, but nothing that I gush over, I got too frustrated while going through the berzerkers and switched it to the easiest difficulty and chose to never switch it back and started having more fun.

 

Oh and let's talk about the visuals, it's real pretty.

Usually by chance, in this case I was heading to a party, I googled for something to wear that "Low Key," but it auto corrected to "Loki" and this came up.

Game #5 completed! House of Fata Morgana

 

 

Without spoiling too much, it's a story about a Witch and her haunted mansion where she- okay, that's all I got for you. Go read it yourself.

 

The PS4 version has 3 separate stories: House of Fata Morgana, Requiem of Innocence (prequel to Fata Morgana), and Reincarnation (sequel). Reading all 3 stories took around 30-40 hours, but if you decide to give this VN a read, for the love of God, do not skip it. It's long, but there's a very specific reason why there are so many stories because they all come together in the end flawlessly and the reward was worth the time investment.

 

It's amazing stories like these which is why I get triggered when I see someone completed this in 45 mins. Lol. I'm not telling you how to play your games, but I'm definitely questioning you on why if you do.

 

My favorite character though was Jacopo. I  feel like out of the MCs, he was the most misunderstood and went through the roughest trials out of all of the main three. Definitely felt like the most relatable out of the three and at times, really felt like a train wreck you couldn't keep your eyes off of. Glad to see him have his Redemption Arc in Reincarnation. 

 

Anyways, long story short, skipping VNs is really sad and definitely don't skip this one!

 

Up Next:

 

Tales of Arise will probably be coming up, but I need some help... I think it only fits for orange (which is already occupied, see above), but maybe move Yakuza LAD to Yellow? I think Yakuza like a dragon is probably, technically yellow-orange, but it feels more orange than yellow to me... On the other hand, I saw someone else put it under yellow before orange so maybe I'm just a tad color blind? Someone tell me it's yellow and I'll move it over later.

 

 

I guess I could just not use it, but being only 5 games in, seems pretty... unfortunate. Thoughts are appreciated!

Im certainly no authority on this, but I think if you’d listed like a dragon under either orange or yellow then not many would have challenged that. Tales of arise I would be looking to put under brown or tan myself, maybe orange but I think you got some scope with that one.

 

kudos for like a dragon anyway dude. I could not face going through that sewer dungeon anymore so I’m still one trophy away from that plat. I’d love to go back and do it but I can’t stomach that level of grind so I’ve kind of accepted it’s gone forever. I’m doing Ishin at the moment and am just crossing fingers the whole time that the grind isn’t as much as that bloody sewer otherwise I’ll quickly walk away from this one too.

Yup - I think @PotrikBerger hit it right on the money - this is a perfect example of the "relative colour" rule - and how the eye adjusts the colour hue of one thing, when placed next to another!

 

 

On it's own, I think Like a Dragon does fit best for Orange... but Since Tales is clearly Orange, and quite a bit darker, once they are both on there they balance relative to one another, and Like a Dragon gets much more applicable to Yellow.

 

(For example, on my own list, both Hardspace Shipbreaker and Twelve Minutes would work for Tan on their own - but putting them both together, Hardspace fits more neatly into Yellow.)

 

Enjoy Tales BTW - it's pretty good!

So I finished another game last week, but I've been umming and ahhhing for a few days about where it should go on the rainbow card. I think it works for light blue, but if anyone has any other thoughts I can move it around:

 

 

Legend of Dragoon was one of my favourite games on the PS1 when I was a kid. So when it came out on the PS Plus premium library, AND with trophies, I had to get it and play it again ASAP! Thankfully the initial glitches at launch have been fixed, and I had no issues playing through the game. I really liked the spin on turn based combat that it introduced, learning additions and executing them perfectly during battles is super satisfying. A great trip down memory lane (although some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy nowadays ?), if you enjoy old school turn based RPGs then this is definitely one to check out ?
