Popular Post LancashireLad87
@Copanele @FreshFromThaDeli @DeepEyes7 @Infected Elite @Thedah @Yuber6969 @Gommes_ @Groudon9000 @KindaSabbath @Blitz-tek @Spookyentertainm @Sergen Future Goals & Aspirations! Since I'm growing ever closer to 100 platinum trophies on my account, I've contemplated the idea of documenting my journey. I've previously created a trophy checklist which has long been abandoned. From an account perspective I've continued to hit personal goals and milestones throughout the last 3 years. I have several goals and ambitions I would like to achieve in the coming months but let's just see how I fair on that one. Originally when I created my account back in May 2020 during lockdown, I never envisioned myself being well over 4,000 trophies and a modest 87 platinum trophies in 3 years but here we are. When I first joined PSNProfiles my completion percentage wasn't the best I believe it was around the 60-65% mark with a paltry 500 trophies and 3 platinums to my name. I had earned the platinum trophy for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Batman Arkham Asylum, and Demon Souls. With 87 platinum trophies currently under my belt there's still a long road ahead of me before I reach triple digits. Naturally when the time comes I will be making a poll for my 100th platinum trophy so the community can decide what I go for but that probably won't happen this year. As some of you may already know, since joining PSNProfiles I haven't participated in many events, in fact the ONLY event I've participated in is held by @Rebourne07 the coveted 1-10 platinum difficulty challenge which has evolved since it's inception back in 2022. I've managed to complete the event each year which I'm hoping to replicate next year as a future goal. I've always considered myself a gamer first trophy hunter second because I enjoy playing games I really enjoy far beyond the abilities of a trophy hunter. Listed below will be some of my non-trophy related goals I would like to achieve at some point in my life. ________________________________________________________________ Beyond Trophy (Goals) [COMPLETED] Goal 1: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (PS4) - Unlock the "Ultimate Flex" which consists of the following rewards; Dr N Tropy with Digital N Tropy legendary skin, Champion Kart with Emperor Velo decal, Relic Platinum Paint, and the hardest unlock the Master Wheels. Naturally playing through the game and unlocking the platinum trophy will unlock Dr N Tropy as a playable character as well as earning his legendary skin. The Champion Kart can only be earned by defeating Nitrous Oxide's time trial ghosts on all of the bonus tracks. Relic Platinum Paint requires you to earn platinum relics on every relic race in adventure mode which isn't as easy as you think it would be. Then we have the Champion Velo decal which requires you to defeat Emperor Velo's time trials on EVERY map, and the Master Wheels can only be earned by defeating every developer time trial. [Work In Progress 2/8] Goal 2: Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition (PS3) - Complete Mercenaries Reunion on all maps with every character earning SS Ranks in Solo play. ________________________________________________________________ Favourite & Least Favourite Genres Favourite/Most proficient in - Hack N Slash, Fighting, Kart Racing & Soul games Least Favourite/least proficient in - Shmups, Puzzle, Rhythm, Platformers Genres I'd like to improve in; Racing & Shooters ________________________________________________________________ Most & Least enjoyable games I've played Most: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, Jurassic World Evolution, Super Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 Remake, Final Fantasy X HD, DMC5 Special Edition, Minecraft, Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls, Demon's Souls. Least: Resident Evil 2 Remake (Didn't click with), Resident Evil 6 (Nowhere near as good as 5), Injustice 2 (Too Grindy), Diablo 3 (Too Grindy). Best soundtracks: Metal Gear Rising, Doom Eternal, Guilty Gear Revelator 2, DMC5 Special Edition, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 Remake. ________________________________________________________________ Trophy Stats Games played 97 Games completed 84 (Technically 85 as Wipeout HD I earned every trophy I could) Highest account completion percentage 98.50% Current account completion percentage 98.42% Lowest unearned trophies including unobtainable trophies 50 (Haven't seen this since finishing Zone of The Enders The 2nd Runner) Current unearned trophies including unobtainable trophies 60 ________________________________________________________________ Trophy Facts Proudest Bronze trophy: Entitled 0.91% (Super Street Fighter 4) To be honest there wasn't much competition for this one, the Entitled trophy in Super Street Fighter 4 was definitely leaps and bounds harder than any bronze trophy before it. You have to complete all 840 combo trials within the game which in itself is no small feat, then you have to clear Arcade mode on the hardest difficulty with EVERY character and defeat all of their rivals along the way. Then you had to earn every title within the game which required you to play both online and offline, and you had to defeat every secret boss in Arcade mode by fulfilling their requirements such as defeating Akuma and Gouken. After-all there's a reason why this trophy is sub 1%! Proudest Silver trophy: Master of Tasks 1.38% (Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3) Without a shadow of a doubt the hardest Silver trophy I'm likely to earn. The trophy description is very simple clear 480 combo trials and the trophy is yours, let me tell you I struggled more with these combo trials than I did with Super Street Fighter 4. A lot of the later trials consist of over 20 inputs which requires a lot of muscle memory and dexterity to pull off, plus some trials had 1-frame links such as Sentinel Mission 10. By far the hardest combo trial I completed was a toss up between Dr Doom Mission 10 or Crimson Viper 10. Proudest Gold trophy: Coin Master 4.61% (Ninja Gaiden Sigma) Judging by the rarity you might be a bit puzzled as to why this is my proudest gold trophy to date. The main reason why this trophy takes the crown as the hardest gold trophy I've ever earned is the manner in which I earned it. The vast majority of players will utilise every accessory at your disposal to assist you in the mission mode, since I'm an advocate of the Hack N Slash genre, I wanted to beat every mission on every difficulty without using the Grip of Murder costume which greatly increases both your attack and defence. Proudest Platinum trophy: The King of Fighters 13 0.98% (PS3) Even to this day, I'm still amazed at how I was able to get this platinum trophy. I struggled to complete the 200 combo trials required for the platinum trophy and had to resort to purchasing DLC characters to help me overcome the task at hand. I despise survival mode in fighting games and this game's survival was hell on earth for me. I had to defeat 35 consecutive opponents, 1 wrong move and you lose 50% of your health if you get hit by a level 3 super. Visually the hand drawn 2D sprites are stunning, will I replay the PS4 Version when it releases? I'm not sure, I guess we'll wait and see! Fastest PS3 platinum trophy: Tekken Tag Tournament HD 21.76% Uncommon (2 Hours 23 Minutes) Tekken Tag Tournament HD hasn't aged very well, thankfully the game has no online trophies which is very rare. I can only think of a handful of fighting games that lack online trophies. Trophy wise the 200 points in Tekken Bowling is a pain to get. If I recall correctly I used Paul and Law. TTT1 HD is by far the fastest PS3 game I've earned the platinum trophy in and I don't think it's likely to be beaten. Fastest PS4 platinum trophy: Nitroplus Blasterz Heroines Infinite Duel 13.80% Rare (2 Hours 53 Minutes) Your typical run of the mill, average 2D Fighting game. Nitroplus Blasterz was very short and sweet from a trophy stand-point. I enjoyed my time with the game it's just a shame it lacked content and it was a bit on the easy side. Longest PS3 platinum trophy: Disgaea 3 Absence of Justice 3.11% Ultra Rare (151 Hours) Hands down the longest amount of time I've spent earning a platinum trophy for. When it comes to Disgaea games the story is essentially the games tutorial, the REAL game is the post-game! Some of these trophies were a real pain in the arse, I remember the counter 10 times trophy being luck-based, hoping and praying that my 2 Martial Artists keep striking one another whilst being placed on invulnerability panels. I'd like to return to the Disgaea series at some point but god knows when that will be! Longest PS4 platinum trophy: Injustice 2 1.99% Ultra Rare (103 Hours) Injustice 2 was a pretty solid fighting game, if it wasn't for the "Cat fight" trophy I'd probably recommend it to newcomers but that grind is just too much man. Injustice 2 has an amazing tutorial but unless you want to main Batman it's useless! I primarily used the flash because I like his character trait of slowing down time and his combo routes. If I end up playing Injustice 1 next year with my friend I'll definitely play flash again. ________________________________________________________________ Important Trophy Milestones 1st platinum: Demon Souls 11.04% Rare (PS3) 10th platinum: Under Night In-Birth EXE Late St 11.23% Rare (PS4) 20th platinum: Bloodborne 21.64% Uncommon (PS4) 25th platinum: Minecraft 11.86% Rare (PS4) 30th platinum: Final Fantasy X HD 8.69% Very Rare (PS4) 40th platinum: Marvel Vs Capcom 3 1.80% Ultra Rare (PS3) 50th platinum: Elden Ring 34.31% Uncommon (PS4) 60th platinum: Batman TellTale 58.00% Common (PS4) 70th platinum: The King of Fighters 14 2.01% Ultra Rare (PS4) 75th platinum: Metal Gear Rising Revengeance 2.34% Ultra Rare (PS3) 80th platinum: Jak X Combat Racing 20.16% Uncommon (PS4) ________________________________________________________________ Backlog Clean-up - Crash Bandicoot 1 91%: Missing Stormy Ascent Gold Relic - Resident Evil 2 Remake 97%: Missing No Way Out Scenario - Doom 2016 96%: Missing 2 Silver trophies (Online Multiplayer Grind) - Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: Missing both DLC VR Mission trophies - Street Fighter 6: Missing all tournament related trophies (Currently Unattainable) ________________________________________________________________ Journey to 100 Platinum trophies As some of you may be aware a few years ago my profile was reviewed for the first time in video format by the platchums during the end of episode 4 of their trophy review series when my account was 8 months old. At that time, I had 901 trophies to my name and 11 platinum trophies. Fast forward nearly 2.5 years and I'm at 87 platinum trophies with 4331 trophies in total. For anyone interested in seeing what state my profile was in back then I've embedded the link for your convenience, my profile is reviewed at 59.50 in the video. Since I've been a member of PSNProfiles I have received a lot of praise and recognition from the overwhelming majority of users which has kept me motivated and focused in my darkest hours of pain and frustration with some of these trophies. For lack of a better word I have gained a circle of friends on PSNProfiles who have similar interests to mine when it comes to gaming. Being able to encourage, motivate and bounce back tips and tricks to help others is very rewarding when they succeed. Sure I've had the opposite but you simply cannot get along with everyone, it's simply a part of life. I'm 37 next year and my skills aren't as sharp as they used to be, when I was a teenager many years ago I was very proficient at Timesplitters 2 on the PlayStation 2, I held a few European and World Records back in the day. If I tried to replicate it today I would be a shadow of my former self, my skills in other games has improved with age because I'm not as stubborn as I once was, I'm more flexible or willing to play games outside of my "comfort zone" and I have more patience which is very important when you keep taking the L. When the review first came out I watched it with the Aussie lad because I didn't know the video had been released. So he got the opportunity to listen to my reaction which I don't believe I've ever shared with anyone else. Now would be the perfect opportunity to explain what was going through my head when the Irish lads were reviewing my profile back in 2021. Listening to Nathan's @Gotakibono reaction of my trophy cabinet had me pissing out of my sides especially with his facial expressions. Both Nathan and Dan @N1NJ4_V4MP1R3 are both amazing trophy hunters in their fields of expertise, perhaps one day I can reach the same level on my own account. I'm not sure if I've reached my full potential at the time of writing but I'm slowly working on it. My next few platinum trophies that will take me up to 90 will be as follows; Melty Blood Type Lumina (2D Fighter), Lego Worlds (Sandbox) & Street Fighter 6 (2D Fighter). Once I finish these 3 games I plan on completing another 1-10 challenge so my 100th platinum will be 10/10 rated on PSNProfiles. If by some miracle I can reach 100 platinum trophies I would like to clean up some of my backlog and reach the following milestones; 5,000 trophies, 99% account completion or 99% of all trophies earned, 100 games played and 200 Ultra Rare trophies. Generally speaking I'm not the biggest fan of gauging someone on how many ultra rare trophies they have, as long as I'm playing games I enjoy or trying to improve myself at genres I consider myself bad at I'm more than content with that! The vast majority of my standout platinum trophies are skill-based which I'm hoping to maintain in the years to come. Hopefully you enjoyed reading through this long arse post, my fingers are aching more now than when I earned The King of Fighters 13 platinum trophy! Spookyentertainm
Nice lad !! the reason that coin trophy for ninja gaiden is not as rare (u mentioned) is because most of the pros played (master collection) as soon as it came out and had already mastered it... it's just now slowly lowering in ultra rare category as new players are playing. If u look at the vita tropies u will see how low its like 1. Something Edited July 23, 2023 by Spookyentertainm

Something I definitely couldn't have done it without you watching me share-play and giving me the inside knowledge of how to play the game efficiently. Yes I can imagine the handheld would be even harder. Perhaps one day I can invest in a PS Vita and play some of the amazing games it has. I was surprised at how much of a difference the grip of murder costume makes in the mission mode. It's just a shame I was unable to beat the Rachel Vs Nicchae & Ishtaros fight without using Rachel's special costume. I'll be sure to hit you up when the time comes for part 3! I'm thinking of replaying part 2 again at some point! Edited July 23, 2023 by LancashireLad87
Spookyentertainm
Your gonna breeze through part 2 as good as you are with the bosses and its nerfed(easier) but it's definitely amazing to experience without the lag as you know sigma 2 is kinda laggy , definitely hit me up on part 3 I'd love 2 watch ? ? FreshFromThaDeli
I remember watching that Platchums review of your account when it came out. Would be good if they come back to re-review some accounts and yours would be top of the list to see the progress made.

Copanele
Took me a while to get to this checklist but welcome back! Always awesome to read your posts and targets Definitely approving of the "Proudest Trophy" (like come on, KoF13 is one of the best experiences out there), cracked up when I saw the Tekken Tag trophy icon (who's that baked ass elf lol?) and I am miiiildly sad that you despise Survival Mode, because Persona 4 Arena would have been one mad challenge but the hardest part is the Survival Mode there aka Time Attack. Also first platinum Demon's Souls? :> very nice choice! Best of luck with the future goals, will definitely look forward to more of them posts

Yes I love RE5 it has the best Mercenaries mode for me, I know Resident Evil Village has a good Mercenaries mode so I'll have to try that out at some point. Some characters are simply better than others because they have a very good load-out. I haven't played RE5 for a while so I'll need to shake some rust off. The only reason I would want to purchase the PS4 version at some point is to capture my runs so you can see how I approached the map. 19 hours ago, SwiftGuyver said: @LancashireLad87 I enjoyed reading through the detailed breakdown of your journey so far as it's always cool to hear other gamers/trophy hunters thoughts and processes on how they approach things. Yes there seems to be 2 groups of fighting game trophy hunters, some people hate compo trials whilst others hate survival mode. Yes I'm not really a big fan of 3D Fighters in general so I have no idea who the Tekken Tag Tournament platinum image is. I really enjoyed Demon's Souls I had to complete 2 additional playthroughs because the crystal lizards wouldn't drop the Pure Moonlight and Darkmoonlight stones, and yet I got the Pure Bladestone in less than 30 minutes! I guess lady luck was shining down upon me that day! 2 hours ago, Thedah said: Good stuff. Your profile is looking very good! Love reading your updates as we share some similar tastes in games. Thanks man, my account has come along way but there's always room for improvement. I'd like to diversify into a few game series I've yet to play such as Yakuza, I've heard nothing but great things about the series. I'll most likely start with Yakuza Zero, not sure when that will be, but its on my radar!

LancashireLad87
Breaking News!!! The lad from Lancashire has secured his 88th platinum trophy Melty Blood Type Lumina on the PlayStation 4. The trophy guide estimates a 10 hour platinum journey and a 5/10 difficulty. I commenced my journey through Melty Blood Type Lumina on Friday night for an hour because I'm still recovering from the flu and I didn't have the energy to play more. I set myself a little challenge how many trophies can the lad get in an hour whilst being sick, 10, 20 perhaps? 27! Yeah you read that right 27/10 trophies in an hour. Saturday morning I talked with my friend from Australia and managed to play a solid 2 hours and I got a lot of shit done, I predominantly played through character story modes which helped me to build up my in game currency and I cleared time attack with an S Rank with over a minute to spare. This morning I wrapped up the remaining trophies which included winning 20 consecutive matches in survival, beating any characters story mode on the hardest difficulty with rounds set to 3 and multiple trophies for purchasing x amount of this and that and a single online trophy. I played a single player match against a random player online to start the day off strong. Next I attempted in my opinion the hardest trophy in the game, beating the computer on the hardest difficulty best of 3 rounds for 7 matches sounds fairly easy but this AI is very adept at input reading, and can punish you for upwards of 4,000 damage if they have meter. I played as Aoki if I'm not mistaken, she's a chick with Red hair. Her QCF + Triangle special move shoots a projectile attack that travels full-screen. If you hold the input it enhances the laser beam. If the opponent gets hit with a fully charged laser you can combo into a normal QCF + Triangle for extra damage or another move of your choosing. If they got in my grill, I blocked until they were punishable and performed a simple BNB (bread and butter) combo then I tried to reset the distance so I could execute my strategy. I got through that on the first attempt but one of the fights against Shiko was a close victory edging him out 3-2. Next I attempted Survival mode, I used Aoki again and used the same strategy. Use heat to replenish your health for a short period increasing your survivability. I surprised myself when I defeated 25 opponents on my first try earning me my silver trophy and 9,700 in-game currency! All that stood between me and the platinum trophy was to grind for currency, I was 19,500 short of a 100,000. The fastest method I could find was to play 2-player versus matches at 1-round matches. Overall I enjoyed the game, it was quite short which a lot of fighting games are but everything is skill dependent. Since I'm used to playing more difficult fighting games I breezed through the game, my Exophase hasn't updated so I'm unable to give you an accurate time but I'd estimate it took me around 4.5-5 hours to finish. As for difficulty I'd rate it a 4/10, if I wasn't ill with the flu it would have been lower. Edited July 30, 2023 by LancashireLad87
LancashireLad87
Breaking News!!! Moments ago the lad from Lancashire secured his 89th platinum trophy Phantom Breaker Omnia on the PlayStation 4. After scouring through the PS Store I noticed the game was heavily discounted so I did what any rational fighting game player would do, 4 quid for a new fighting game, sign me up! The question everyone is dying to know is was it worth it? In short, yes! The game is pretty bare bones and mediocre in terms of quality but the gameplay is pretty solid and it has some interesting gameplay mechanics that take a little bit of getting used to. Phantom Breaker Omnia does have DLC trophies, thankfully there included with the game. The most difficult trophy for me was completing Sophia's story mode because you have to meet certain conditions in order to progress to the later fights. The PSNP trophy guide rates the difficulty a modest 2/10 and a 10 hour platinum journey. I don't plan my trophies to unlock a certain way, I play the game organically, as such I've taken the liberty of screenshotting my final playtime for your convenience. As far as difficulty is concerned I'd rate the game closer to a 3/10, a 2/10 is taking the piss a bit. Phantom Breaker Omnia is my 28th fighting game platinum trophy, well 29 if we're counting Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm as a fighting game. I'm not sure where I stand on that topic. Nevertheless I'm happy to add another platinum trophy to my collection, just one more to the big 90 then I can focus on my 1-10 challenge that will hopefully bring the lad into triple digits! LancashireLad87
Breaking News!!! The lad from Lancashire has secured his 90th platinum trophy Skyscrappers on the PlayStation 4. I picked this game up because it was on sale, after playing through it I wouldn't like to pay full price for it. Skyscrappers is a vertical platfomer with fighting game elements, for my short time playing the game it was enjoyable but you'll get trophies thick and fast with this one. The PSNP trophy guide rates the difficulty a 2/10 and a 3 hour platinum journey, I personally think the difficulty is closer to a 3/10 because of the final stage with each character being a pain in the arse to complete 4 rounds with an AI who's hellbent on killing you. It took me 1 hour 40 minutes to platinum the game which is my fastest platinum trophy to date. Today marks a special milestone in my trophy hunting career, the lad has finally played 100 unique games on my account, Skyscrappers is my 30th fighting game platinum trophy which is a cool milestone to reach. My next goal will be to compile a 1-10 platinum challenge which will hopefully put me on 100 platinum trophies, however my next goal is to reach 3000 bronze trophies! I'm happy to add this platinum to my collection and I'll catch you guys in the next one!
Popular Post LancashireLad87
@Infected Elite @Gommes_ @Thedah @Yuber6969 @KindaSabbath @Copanele @FreshFromThaDeli @Groudon9000 TMNT Shredder’s Revenge I’ve wanted to play this game for a while because I watched a lot of TMNT when I was younger. I picked up a used copy off Ebay for just shy of 20 quid. After convincing a friend to play through the game with me, we commenced our journey through TMNT Shredder’s Revenge over the weekend on “Chill” difficulty. Considering my nostalgia for TMNT I refrained from using a trophy guide because I wanted to enjoy my first playthrough. TMNT Shredder’s Revenge has collectible trophies but if you're very thorough like we were you won’t need a guide for the collectibles. My friend chose Leonardo whilst I played as Michael Angelo. It took the two of us just over 2 hours to clear the game on the easiest difficulty, earning us a fair amount of trophies in the process. Upon completing the game you unlock Casey Jones as a playable character, Casey wields a baseball bat whilst sporting a hockey mask. Statistically Casey is the strongest character in the game because he has the most stat points of any character. Next I wrapped up some miscellaneous trophies before wrapping up my first session. Later in the evening I decided to consult the trophy guide because there’s a trophy for completing the game with every character (7) in total. Thankfully you can clear the final stage, stage 16 with the remaining characters and the trophy unlocks. I managed to join a random session online towards the later half of the game on chill difficulty which I saw through to the end earning me a trophy for completing “Arcade” mode in multiplayer. After a considerable amount of trying I joined another random lobby on stage 16, as soon as I joined they had just defeated “Super Shredder” the final boss, earning me one of the hardest trophies in the game. The following day I continued my journey through TMNT which mostly consisted of grinding mission 1 on “Okay” difficulty for XP whilst occasionally checking arcade mode for people who are close to the end of the game so I could get the 1CC clear on any difficulty which I managed to get much later in the day. Grinding for XP was definitely a pain in the arse, when I first completed the game as Michael Angelo I was only level 8, for the trophy you have to grind all 7 characters to level 10 which in total takes around 10 hours of grinding! Since I played a lot of mission 1 I attempted to kill every enemy in the stage as fast as I possibly can to see how fast the lad can get through it, in an attempt to keep my sanity because this shit was beyond monotonous. As usual for your convenience I’ve taken the liberty of recording my fastest run which to my surprise was with Donatello! Can you clear this faster than the lad? In my opinion the hardest trophy in the game is for completing Arcade on “Gnarly” difficulty because there are very few people playing this mode let alone that difficulty setting, you should join someone who’s far enough through the game so you have less to do, if you join a room at random you can be kicked from the lobby which happened to me or if you run out of lives you have to either pray you can find another session or start one of your own. At the time of writing I’m a single trophy away from the platinum trophy, which is for winning the Coney island mini-game by popping a balloon in stage 9. Since I’m saving this game for next year's platinum difficulty challenge, As far as difficulty is concerned and the amount of time needed to 100% the game it’s very subjective because you can be very fortunate and join a game on the hardest difficulty of arcade mode and unlock the hardest trophies without even lifting a finger. According to my Exophase account I’ve played TMNT for 21 hours, the trophy guide on PS3trophies.org rates the difficulty a 7.5/10 which is high for a beat em up. Hopefully you enjoyed reading through this update and I’ll catch you guys in the next one!
Popular Post LancashireLad87
@Infected Elite @KindaSabbath @DeepEyes7 @Thedah @Yuber6969 @Groudon9000 @FreshFromThaDeli @Copanele Quote Disclaimer: The information contained within this post is from my personal experience with the game. I’m fairly well versed in dinosaur themed park builders having played a lot of Jurassic Park Operation Genesis (JPOG) back in the day, and the 100% completion for Jurassic World Evolution 1. My methods may not be optimal but they're sufficient enough for you to complete the challenge! I've tried to provide as much detail as possible because Jurassic difficulty is not for the faint-hearted. I wasn't happy with the amount of detail provided within the trophy guide so I created my own. Jurassic World Evolution 2: UK Challenge Mode (Jurassic Difficulty/Personal Difficulty 7/10) Before discussing my personal strategy for completing this challenge on Jurassic difficulty I’ll be outlining some general tips and tricks that you must employ if you want any hope of completing this challenge. Jurassic World Evolution 2 requires a lot of micro-managing ranging from dinosaur welfare and comfort, guest satisfaction and safety, contracts and sabotage, disease control and many more. Power: Let’s get the elephant out of the room, power can be supplied through backup generators or power stations connected by pylons and substations. Whatever you do, don’t rely on backup generators because they consume a lot of fuel and need topping up which costs 474,000 to top up! Dinosaur Compatibility: Every species within the game has a variety of needs that must be met, ranging from nutrition and population to cohabitation preferences. Dinosaur comfort and compatibility is very important because dinosaurs will kill each other and become sick due to their living conditions which may result in death if left untreated. Guest Satisfaction: Guests are harder to manage than dinosaurs because no matter what you do they’re never satisfied. Guests require amenities, hotels, emergency shelters, restrooms and attractions for them to spend their hard earned cash in our parks, so looking after them should be your top priority! Income Generation: There are 5 ways of generating income, ticket sales, guest amenities, contracts, photography and random events. Unfortunately you have no control over ticket sales so that can be ruled out immediately. Guest amenities will be the bulk of your sales, each amenity can be configured by adding and replacing modules to increase your income or expenditure. Every module you add will increase the running cost of each amenity so you need to be vigilant to ensure you’re making a profit. Contracts are a double-edged sword because you don’t necessarily know what requirements you need to fulfil until you’ve accepted the contract. Contracts can range from, protecting your guests for a certain time, preventing disease for a consecutive period of time to building additional amenities and infrastructure. Photography is a lucrative venture provided you’ve got the dinosaurs for the job (High Appeal), taking control of the helicopter is more efficient than using the jeep. Finally we have random events which are exclusive to challenge mode, these events are additional scenarios that you get from time to time that can benefit your park or screw you over. An example is the “Black Market Dinosaur Eggs!” which I believe only occurs during synthesis. You can sell the egg to a black market trader turning in a handsome profit of 1.25 million or you can refuse the deal resulting in a 10% increase to your publicity rating whilst upsetting the black market which may have repercussions down the line (Sabotage). Staff Management: Scientist’s are heavily relied on because they’re required for literally all of the tasks that you want to do, expeditions, fossil extraction, synthesis, incubation and research. Scientists have received a complete overhaul from Jurassic World Evolution 1, each scientist has a set skill and potential rating in 3 key areas, logistics, genetics and welfare. The higher their skill the higher their wages because they don’t work for free! Scientists can be trained up which requires you to research specific staff upgrades which will allow you to allocate additional points in their skillset. Furthermore each scientist is randomly assigned a trait from a pool that can help or hinder you further down the line, for example a 30% reduction in research or 50% faster expeditions and synthesis to name a few. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ UK Challenge (Requirements) Par Time: 11 hours Starting Cash: Zero Dinosaur Variety: 13 Species Scientists: Unskilled Terrain Editing Cost: High Sabotage Risk: High Appeal Target: 7,500 Income per minute Target: 1,100,000 Number of Staff Centres: 2 Risk of Disease: High Storm Risk: Severe From the list of requirements the hardest challenge is to become profitable. Once you have a steady cash flow with a few million in the bank, as long as you're not throwing money away, it’s difficult to fail the challenge due to a lack of funding. Storm type: Destructive (Targets you're buildings and enclosures causing you to repair them for a small fortune) ________________________________________________________________________________________________ UK Challenge (5-Star Roadmap) Challenge mode is unpredictable due to torrential weather, disease and luck of the draw from contracts and fossil expeditions as well as your staff. Thankfully you don’t need to meet the par-time in order to earn their respective trophies. A word of caution, if at any point in your journey you're making a loss you have 3 minutes to rectify it, if you fail to become cash flow positive your run is OVER! If you replayed the same challenge 10 times you’d never get the same outcome twice, therefore you’re required to make on the spot decisions regarding everything from dinosaur enclosures and amenities to expansion. Photography is of vital importance on this map because it provides a steady stream of income which will help your park prosper. Jurassic World Evolution changes the formula on how your park is rated, it’s based on income per minute. In the beginning of any challenge mode it’s important that you cut as much cost as possible to maximise profits. Don’t hire too many scientists, just hire what you require because their wages can add up quickly, eating into your profits. Don’t be afraid to sell dinosaurs when they're close to their life expectancy, it’s better to get some cash back instead of nothing, just remember to replace them! Whenever you're playing through challenge mode on Jurassic difficulty the first thing you should always do is to PAUSE the game so you can assess what you're working with. This will give you time to make an informed decision about your choices going forward and prevents you from losing income early on, especially on this challenge map! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 1 Star (Personal time 1 hour 13 Minutes at 1.2 Stars) Every star will have a detailed step by step guide of what I chose to construct, repair and enclose to give you a fighting chance. I’ll also provide a visual reference of my park at every star interval for your convenience, so without further ado, let’s begin! Step 1: Pause the game! (Prevents you from losing income which is crucial in this challenge) Please deactivate the amenity shop so you don’t lose more money, it can be reopened once your park is operational! Step 2: Take control of the helicopter and tranquilise every dinosaur on the island! Whilst controlling the chopper, take photographs of each species to generate some much needed income. Once all dinosaurs have been tranquillised, pause the game before moving on to step 3. Step 3: Transport and sell every dinosaur on the map with the exception of the 2 Nigersaurus. I saved the Nigersaurus because they can cohabitate with other herbivores provided their enclosure is suitable and they have the highest appeal rating of any dinosaur on the island and they don’t require a feeder since they feed on foliage within their enclosure. Leave the 2 Nigersaurus tranquilised for now! Step 4: Demolish any infrastructure you have no intention of using to generate revenue. I made the mistake of demolishing the existing viewing gallery so please don’t make the same mistake I did. I destroyed 1 backup generator and the perimeter fences around the hatchery and left the perimeter fencing near the gift shop intact which was repaired in the next step. Furthermore, I moved the backup generator closer to my arrival point so it can provide power to more buildings. Whatever you do, DON’T demolish that hatchery! Step 5: Repair the existing enclosure and your surrounding infrastructure! At this point I repaired everything with the exception of the hatchery because it costs 200,000 to repair which at this stage is money I don’t have! Step 6: Construct your core buildings! Step 7: Move the existing Viewing gallery to your enclosure and improve its suitability rating before transporting the tranquilised Nigersaurus to its new home! Once they’re comfortable you’re park should be open to the public and thus generating income. Your next goal should be to research the following tasks: Science Centre, Fencing and a Small Power Station, once you're cash flow positive, you can repair and move the hatchery to your desired location! During this time, it’s in your best interest to send expeditions to acquire more genomes to help increase your park rating! Step 8: I built an enclosure adjacent to the Nigersaurus which housed Kentrosaurus and threw in 2 Nasutoceratops and a Nodosaurus in with Nigersaurus and played around with the exhibit so they were both comfortable. If I’m not mistaken I had to increase the exhibit size slightly. Add a viewing gallery and restrooms/emergency shelters where appropriate! Congratulations you should now have at least a 1-star rating and have your core buildings in place, powered by a power station. Please see below for a video reference of my park at 1.2 stars! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 2 Stars (Personal time 2 hours 18 Minutes at 2 Stars) Since no 2 challenge runs will ever be the same due to luck and unforeseen circumstances it took me just over an hour to reach 2 stars. My memory is a little fuzzy on what steps I took and when but I can give you a list of everything I added to reach this next star. I built an adjacent exhibit behind the Kentrosaurus which housed 2 Ceratosaurus. Since I had a carnivore in the park I was forced to research a carnivore feeder and a live prey feeder. As I was researching the live prey feeder for my Ceratosaurus they broke out of their enclosure and needed tranquilising before transporting them back. I had several bouts of torrential weather which caused me significant loss and I had a few bouts of disease mainly Cryptosporidiosis and Tuberculosis which needed to be researched. Furthermore I trained some of my existing staff so I had enough requirements to incubate Ceratosaurus because my staff were lacking in welfare ability. Within the video it shows I had a few genetic modifications researched. This was added automatically, so don’t waste your resources on them! I configured and added some more amenities for my guests and constructed a Cinema for some much needed appeal! During the video I was researching efficiency upgrades so I could improve my park’s efficiency! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 2.5 Stars (Personal time 3 hours 41 Minutes at 2.5 Stars) During this stage I was hit with another disease that I had to remedy and I had frequent storms which caused me to lose a lot of time. Most of my time was spent researching various projects that I needed to ensure I would have less things to worry about further down the line. In order to reach 2.5 stars these are the steps I took to get there. Hopefully you have better luck than I had. Regarding the efficiency upgrades I chose to add improved yield on my expedition centre for 75,000 and extraction capacity on my science centre for 1,000,000! Step 1: Research Cryptosporidiosis Inoculation to prevent any future cases occurring and Injury treatment research to make treating your dinosaurs cheaper or faster whichever you prefer. Since I had the cash I researched the improved amenities as well! Step 2: Since I need 10 dinosaurs in the park in order to unlock Gallimimus, I decided to incubate another 3 Kentrosaurus. Step 3: Research and acquire 50% Gallimimus genome and release them with the Nasutoceratops/Nigersaurus and Nodosaurus. My batch of Gallimimus eggs was 7 which is just above their minimum population requirements. Step 4: Research a Hatchery and an Aviary, as well as researching Ceradactylus. I had to have a change in personnel as my current scientists were severely lacking in Welfare, no change there then! So I recruited some fresh faces and researched Staff Improvements 2 to meet the Aviary requirements. Since we're housing a Piscivore we need to research the appropriate feeder which set me back 600,000. It was a costly venture to build an Aviary but I felt it necessary to improve my park rating. I synthesised Cerdactlyus embryos and had a clutch of 3 eggs which I hatched within a 3 section Aviary. Step 5: Research and apply Storm Defence upgrades to your primary buildings because the repair cost during a storm can add up quickly! Step 6: Build a Monorail station around the park to increase transport rating. Step 7: I decided to add a Ranger post to each of my enclosures as well as assigning the MVU (Medical Vehicle Unit). I added both to the Aviary as well, if a dinosaur is sick I want to know about it! We're officially at the halfway point through this challenge but it’s going to get harder to move up the ranks, so there’s no time to rest on our laurels! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 3 Stars (Personal time 4 hours 26 Minutes at 3 Stars) Since the last step was mainly focussed on research, in order to hit 3 stars I decided to focus on expanding my park with new enclosures to boost my appeal rating which in turn should attract more guests to the park. Step 1: Research the Apatosaurus and construct a suitable enclosure, alongside a viewing gallery and any amenities necessary for your park to grow. Step 2: Research tour guides and create a Gyrosphere tour that goes through the Nigersaurus, Kentrosaurus, and Ceratosaurus. Step 3: I researched Tuberculosis inoculation to prevent a recurrence. Step 4: Research additional Guest Attraction Modules and a Wide Path. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 3.5 Stars (Personal time 5 hours 51 Minutes at 3.5 Stars) I spent far too long reaching 3.5 stars because my park was devastated by multiple outbreaks of disease. Although expansion is compulsory to increase your park’s rating it causes disease to run rampant through the park making it harder to manage. Step 1: I decided to research Olarotitian, a hadrosaurid that can cohabitate with Kentrosaurus. Furthermore, I researched Styracosaurus to improve my species variety; however this dinosaur will need its own enclosure. Step 2: I was forced to research Avian Pox and Rabies inoculations because of how much disease I encountered. The benefit of researching inoculation is to prevent that disease from recurrence which is one less thing to worry about. Step 3: I needed some much needed appeal so I researched Carnotaurus and constructed a suitable enclosure for it. During the synthesis process, I had 2 eggs which I incubated. Note: I experienced my first death in the park, my Nodosaurus died of old age and was therefore replaced. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 4 Stars (Personal time 7 hours 18 Minutes at 4 Stars) In order to reach 4 stars, I had to increase my appeal rating by introducing new species to the park. I specifically targeted dinosaurs that can cohabitate with my existing dinosaurs. My transportation rating took a hit in the previous step so that was something I wanted to rectify, since it would cover the rest of the island. Ideally I would like to add a Lagoon at the far end of the park because you can house several aquatic reptiles within the lagoon, and to the best of my knowledge aquatic reptiles cannot break out. During this step I had a lot of dinosaurs die due to old age which as you can imagine cost me a pretty penny to replace. Step 1: Research Compsognathus and house it with either the Carnotaurus or Ceratosaurus. I had to research Herrerasaurus before I could research Compsognathus. Furthermore I had to train my staff up a bit by researching the extra scientist module. Step 2: Improve your transport rating so it snakes around to the top of the island. Step 3: Large Amenities to replace some of the smaller ones. Step 4: Research and release Ichthyosaurus into a 5 section lagoon ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 4.5 Stars (Personal time 8 hours 23 Minutes at 4.5 Stars) Reaching 4.5 stars is going to take a star attraction which in my case will be Tylosaurus provided it’s satisfied with a 5 section lagoon. Each Tylosaurus has 1,661 rating which will help tremendously towards our appeal target of 7,500. I applied the Humble modification to the Tylosaurus because I wasn’t sure it had enough space. Step 1: Incubate and release x2 Tylosaurus into Lagoon with the Humble trait. A key difference between Jurassic World Evolution 1 & 2 is when you extract dinosaur DNA from fossil deposits, the higher your genome percentage the more genetic modifications you can make. Step 2: Replace any dinosaurs that died in the previous step. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Road to 5 Stars (Personal time 9 hours 16 Minutes at 5 Stars) Here it is the final push, optimising our existing infrastructure and ensuring we meet our appeal target should be enough for us to reach 5 stars. This final step is all about optimisation, ensuring that your facilities and your guests needs are met. With your existing dinosaurs you should have enough appeal to reach a 5 star rating. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Please feel free to comment and I hope you appreciate the time and effort it took me to create it. LancashireLad87
@Copanele @Thedah @Yuber6969 @Gommes_ @DeepEyes7 @FreshFromThaDeli @Groudon9000 @Infected Elite Breaking News!!! The lad from Lancashire has essentially secured another platinum trophy Jurassic World Evolution 2 on the PlayStation 4. I've been wanting to play this title for a while because I thoroughly enjoyed it's predecessor. I purchased both Malta and Dominion expansions when they were on sale because they're normally quite expensive due to Frontier having to pay a license fee to use Jurassic Park assets. The PSNP trophy guide is very misleading, after completing all 5 Jurassic difficulty challenge maps, I can wholeheartedly say, this is nowhere near a 6/10 and is on par with JWE1 100% because of the restrictions set in place. Some of them are absolutely brutal! An example would be on the USA South West Map, if you incubate and release a dinosaur that has a negative trait or characteristic such as thirsty or intolerant or aggressive, it's lifespan will be reduced by 90%! Discarding the eggs and then re-synthesising and incubating high appeal dinosaurs is very costly and time consuming. Torrential weather, sabotage and disease are very common on Jurassic difficulty, yes you could save scum every few minutes to prevent this but I prefer to ride the storm out, adapt and conquer! Please bear in mind, JWE1 lacked restrictions but you had to make par-time for the trophy to unlock, I'd rather have no restrictions which would have made this platinum trophy a lot less stressful! If I were to rank the difficulty of each Jurassic difficulty challenge map, I would rate them as follows; UK: 7/10 (My playtime 9.16) Germany: 7/10 (My playtime 17.13) Canada: 8/10 (My playtime 15.32) USA North: 8/10 (My playtime 16.40) USA South: 9/10 (My playtime 17.59) Total: 76.40 (Over 75 hours for 5 maps) My final challenge map was USA South West which I can honestly say is the hardest challenge map of the series so far, the par-time for Jurassic difficulty is 14.5 hours, spoiler alert the Lad didn't make par-time, wasn't even close! I briefly watched a few videos on YouTube for this map just to see what completion times people had and 1 guy had 26 hours for this map, which proves what a pain in the arse it is. The map is very fragmented and is difficult to build on, my playtime for USA South West was 17 hours 59 Minutes. I've purposely left a simple trophy for next year's platinum difficulty challenge. According to my Exophase account, I've sank just shy of 114 hours into Jurassic World Evolution 2. After playing the game for 3 weeks without playing anything in-between, I'm definitely "Glad that's Over" which coincidentally was the name of one of my last trophies for the game and man is that the truth! If the game lacked the Jurassic difficulty challenges then rating the difficulty a 6/10 would be valid but the amount of stress and effort to micromanage death, disease, sabotage, torrential weather, breakouts, dinosaur and guest satisfaction, amenities and your staff whilst playing with some very harsh restrictions is nowhere near a 6/10, if that's a 6/10 then I haven't played any game harder than a 7.5-8/10. Hopefully you enjoyed reading through this post, now I can move on to my next project which should be a lot less stressful and take considerably less time to finish. Popular Post LancashireLad87
@Copanele @Gommes_ @FreshFromThaDeli @Infected Elite @Groudon9000 @Thedah @Yuber6969 Breaking News!!! The lad from Lancashire has all but secured his 93rd platinum trophy! After completing Jurassic World Evolution 2, I decided to finally dive into Wolfenstein The New Order on the PlayStation 4. I've had the game sitting in my backlog for far too long, collecting dust so I decided to boot it up during the weekend. I enjoyed Wolfenstein The Old Blood so I was keen to play another first-person shooter which is a genre I don't play very often. I commenced my journey on easy difficulty trying my best to collect as many collectibles as possible whilst earning as many perks as possible. I followed a collectibles video on YouTube and I still managed to miss around 7 collectibles. The first half of the game is great but once you hit the game's mid-way point it starts falling apart. I wasn't a fan of the underwater level with the submarine and some of the later levels. The final boss was an improvement over Wolfenstein The Old Blood's, it took me a handful of tries to beat him on Uber difficulty which proved to be an enjoyable battle to the death. My initial playthrough was a mixed bag really because I had to stop every 5 minutes to find where the next collectible is which definitely detracts from the experience, why the developers decided to have so many collectibles is beyond me. The PSNP trophy guide rates the difficulty a 6/10 and a 20 hour platinum journey, according to my Exophase account I've spent 16.5 hours on The New Order. Granted, I have left a simple trophy unearned which will literally take me 10-15 minutes to get but I'm saving the platinum for next year's platinum difficulty challenge. Regarding the game's difficulty I think a 6/10 is a little high because I actually found Wolfenstein The Old Blood's platinum to be harder than this one. Regardless I'm happy to add this to my existing collection and I'll be starting my next project which is a childhood game for me in the very near future. Hopefully you enjoyed reading through this update and I'll catch you guys in the next one! Edited September 13, 2023 by LancashireLad87
Popular Post LancashireLad87
@Infected Elite @KindaSabbath @Groudon9000 @Thedah @Gommes_ @Yuber6969 @DeepEyes7 @FreshFromThaDeli @Copanele God of War 1 HD (2005 Version) Breaking News!!! The lad from Lancashire has all but secured his 94th platinum trophy God of War 1 HD on the PlayStation 3. Growing up the original God of War on the PlayStation 2 was a phenomenal game for its time, not only did it have a great story but it's combat was visceral, fast, and fluid, what more could you possibly ask for? In late 2009, both God of War 1 and 2 received a PlayStation 3 port with enhanced graphics. Since it’s a classic game from the good old days, if you’ve previously played through the original then you’ve seen and experienced everything there is to offer because nothing new was added. Since I’ve played the original back in 2005, I was 18 at the time. I had enough hack n slash experience under my belt so I had little to no issues adapting to the games combat. After finishing Wolfenstein The New Order in a timely fashion, I decided to start my journey through God of War 1. So I quickly glanced over a trophy guide which was harder to find than it should have been since I kept finding God of War 2018 instead. I pulled up a collectibles guide because my memory is fuzzy on where everything is and set sail for ancient Greece. I played through the vast majority of the game on Medium difficulty because I knew the speed run trophy was very lenient because Jason McDonald isn’t fast by any means. I had some issues defeating Pandora’s Guardian (Giant Minotaur Boss) so I decided this would be a good place to die over and over again so I could play the remainder of the game on easy difficulty. I reached Pandora’s Guardian at 3 hours 45 minutes, I used Kratos’s standard roll to navigate the world faster and I was skipping non-mandatory encounters. I reached the final save before fighting Ares at 4 hours 36 Minutes, so I had plenty of time to wrap up my first playthrough earning me a bunch of trophies in the process. The hardest part of the platinum trophy is the Challenge of the Gods, you have to complete 10 unique challenges in a single sitting. Contrary to the PSNP trophy guide, I believe the hardest challenge to overcome is by far challenge 8 because there are so many Gorgons and soldiers you have to dispose of, it’s quite ridiculous to be fair. It took me 4 or 5 tries to get through it. The only other challenge that annoyed me was challenge 10 but that challenge is more luck than skill, challenge 8 is the real skill check in God of War 1 HD. As always I would like to provide you with some tips on how I beat challenges 8 and 10 specifically because the rest of them shouldn’t pose too many problems for most people. Challenge 8: This is it, the REAL platinum breaker, my best advice for this mission would be to roll around the edge of the arena. During each roll, you can perform Square Square before rolling again and you’ll never get turned to stone. Once the Gorgon’s have stopped their gaze of death, quickly perform a single jump and press and hold L1 + Circle to perform an attack that will hit everyone if performed in the centre of the arena. Upon impact this move has the potential of knocking enemies including the Gorgons off the edge. A word of caution this move leaves you very vulnerable because if you perform it at the wrong time, you can be turned to stone whilst airborne, resulting in death and it has a very long recovery so you may get turned to stone, so be ready for it. On the plus side, if you hit everyone on the field, you can perform another 1 in quick succession! Challenge 10: The final challenge requires you to jump on to the platform surrounded by enemies, defeating them will cause the platform to rise, your goal is simple, reach the platform above you and the trophy is yours but nothing is ever that simple. The move I abused was L1+X which is fairly quick and has the ability to launch enemies into the air and potentially knock them out of bounds. Make sure that you stay as close to the centre of the platform as humanly possible whilst avoiding the enemies. With some luck you’ll be able to complete this challenge, it took me around 8-12 attempts to clear it. I purposely left the sex mini-game unearned so I can quickly wrap up the platinum next year for the platinum difficulty challenge. I created a save, just before it on the ship so I’m good to go! The PSNP trophy guide rates the difficulty a 5/10 and a 15 hour platinum journey, I think for the average player the difficulty would be a 6/10 purely because of the 2 challenges I’ve mentioned above. My personal playtime was around 6.5 hours, sub 5 hours for my first playthrough, about an hour or so on the challenges and about half an hour for clean-up. I’m happy to add this platinum to my existing collection and I’ll catch you guys in the next update!

Over the weekend the lad from Lancashire has all but secured his 95th platinum trophy, The Walking Dead A New Frontier on the PlayStation 4. I've previously played through 3 Telltale games, and I needed another 1/10 for next years annual platinum difficulty challenge, so I picked up a used copy off Ebay. I've had this game sitting on the shelf for months so I thought I'd relax after playing through some of my previous projects. I skimmed through the trophy guide to see if anything was miss-able, which there isn't and started my journey through A New Frontier. Despite being very straightforward to complete, I really enjoy these games for their story and the choices you have to make which shapes the story, every decision you make alters the story and inevitably has consequences. My favourite character in the game has to be Paul but his friends call him Jesus, he is such a badass at killing walkers (undead). I've purposely left the final episode of Chapter 5 unearned ready for next years platinum difficulty challenge. According to the PSNP trophy guide it rates the games difficulty a 1/10 and a 10 hour platinum journey, according to my Exophase, at the time of writing I've played 6.5 hours and I'd rate the difficulty a 2/10 because a 1/10 in my book is shovel-ware that can be completed in minutes which I refuse to play/support. I'm waiting for my next project to arrive in the post which should arrive in a few days, regardless I'm happy to add this platinum to my existing collection and I'll catch you guys in the next one! Hah that's an unexpected game on your list!Congrats! (you trained me in seeing all those fighting games/action H&S/ Crash Team Racing games ngl 😂)

What can I say, I'm full of surprises! As for the big 100 I'll be putting a short list of possible games and I'll let the community vote on plat 100. I've done this several times which has always been well received. Not sure if I have the skill to do the games for platinum 100 but I'll give them a good go.
