Popular Post whodeygamer
Here’s my first update. I only decided to use a couple of January games since I joined late. I could’ve used 1 more, but I’ve decided to wait for the Spring Backlog Challenge to fill in my “For Another PSNP Event” slot. Spoiler I5 (DLC Pack or Stand-alone DLC) - Genshin Impact Trophy: Series VIII N1 (Based on a Non-Gaming IP) - Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 G5 (Non-Violent) - Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight

Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
I "proudly" present the worst game I probably played for this years bingo card - Lords of the Fallen, a game with online features. The very first game that I used the new rating system in the PSN Store for and it got a solid one star vote from me. And now, please follow me while I paint you a picture about my expierence with the game: First of all, the good stuff - it was fun in coop and I played the full game start to finish with a friend, but every game is better in coop. Maybe 3 bosses are actually fun to fight and had a cool looking design, keep in mind that we're talking about a game that released a month after Lies of P, a game that gave me some trust back in non FromSoftware souls games, but they blew it. All but, maybe, 8 bosses are used as regular enemies in the level afterwards anyways, the first boss after the tutorial is the best one, it's downhill from there. There's no chance you're solving half of the quests or the secret ending in the game without looking them up, they're confusing, NPCs don't drop a hint about the next location or what they want from you, the just move and that's that, but if you open a door or make to much progress somewhere else they might just refuse to talk to, or accept the item you're supposed to bring them, it's fun. Worst quest of them all - a NPC called Kukajin. You have to summon her to boss fights troughout the game and pay her afterwards for her help, that's not the part that sucks though. In Lords of the Fallen you can't summon NPCs or even see the summon signs unless you already died once to the boss, so if you don't look it up you have to die to every single boss just to see if there might be the NPC you need. The secret umbral ending ist the most jump backwards through eight flaming hoops while handcuffed and in chains I ever did, and the reward for all of that is a shitty reskinned boss fight from earlier and a secret area in the game that keeps crashing if you move more than 10m in two minutes. And that's not even a joke, in Mother's Lull you have to pull yourself to 4 different platform to reach the ending, if you do that too fast, the game crashes... every single time. Took me 15 minutes with crashes to travel maybe 100 meters. And finally the inventory - you have to farm every single piece of armor and every weapon in the game, it sucked, it's disrespecting my time as a player and it's no fun farming random pilgrims in the very first area of the game because they have three different capes. The bad part is - there's limited space in the inventory, 1337 slots to be exact for everything, spells, runes, consumables, everything. There's over 550 weapons and armor in the game, nearly half the inventory, of course you gonna get duplicates. But you can sell stuff, great isn't it? WRONG!!! Do you know that fairly new thing we can use to sort names, it's called the alphabet and works pretty good if you ask me. The game is using weight as it's sorting system and there's no button or setting to change that. And every time you sell an item, it reorders the inventory and if you happen to have duplicates with stuff that happens to have the same weight, they're mixed , so selling stuff turned into this annoying check if it really is a dupicate or the last of item XY you own. The cursor also keeps jumping to the bottom right item on screen, so don't spam selling or you might get fucked. Sorry for the rant, I had to. Please stay away from the game if you value your time and do something fun like stubbing your toe on a table instead. As always I'm also using this game as my Light Blue completion for the kaleidoscope challenge, just copying this text over Edited February 4 by JayDeLosDioses 5
Popular Post ArtikSkarab
Another update, another 2 games to add to the completed pile. Released the Year You Joined PSNP: Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) Who doesn't like killing Nazis? Taking place in an alternate story (which would have fit for historical fiction as well) where the Nazi regime won WWII with superior technology, you take the role of William J Blazkowicz, a US soldier who, after a failed attempt on Deathshead's compound, gets blasted in a coma for 14 years and wakes up in a fully controlled 1960 Europe. The game itself is a slower/more arcady FPS with a secondary focus on stealth. As someone who doesn't have the reflexes required for that genre of games, I was apprehensive when I first played it back then, but it's overall a pretty easy game to go through. It's a pretty enjoyable romp throughout with the whole game being playable on it's easiest difficulty if you prefer (even though this series keeps jabbing at it's players for doing so) and it's not too long either (Plat was 20 hours with 1 full very easy run and a 999 run for the Uber difficulty). Would recommend for most people, just have to keep in mind the slightly stranger controls than you might be used to in the genre. Has Snacks: Tchia (A lot of food focus and fruits for specifically snacks) Welcome to New Caledonia! A pretty charming open-world game based on a pretty unique location stars Tchia, a young girl who is in the pursuit of her father Joxu who has been kidnapped by the evil Meadora. This game is oozing so much inspiration from the New Caledonian; from the flora and fauna to the instruments and languages. It's so strange hearing a game where I know one of the two spoken languages within and neither is English (The game dialog is both in French and Djeru depending on the speaker). Overall, it's a pretty good game with some points against it: a little bit too many collectibles, fast travel from and to specific points only and the story tone changes dramatically in the last third of the game. Still, if you want a pretty chill game to roam around, this one is pretty good. Next challenge that I've rolled is the classic Recommended by a PSNP member So I will ask for suggestions. Here are the criteria I'm looking for: 1- Collection link here I'm open to most games on there or through PS+ Premium (NA list). (My list is not 100% up to date unfortunately, so I am open to recommendations outside) 2- Maximum 40 hours for the platinum. I'm not looking for huge RPGs which brings me to 3- Good story, even over gameplay. I'm into games for the worlds they present and am always happy to experience new things. 4- Nothing too difficult. I don't have the mad skillz for difficult games so easier on that side. Otherwise, I am always happy to try new things! Spoiler Completed squares: I4: Röki (PS5) (NA) N2: Mega Man X Legacy Collection N4: Wolfenstein: The New Order (NEW) O1: Life Is Strange: Before The Storm O3: Tchia (NEW) Edited February 5 by ArtikSkarab

Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
Hi everyone! This is my first update with 7 games added to my card! i had plenty of time to play games during January since i was on vacation I wanted to play the majority of these games, so i'm very happy with this list...13 Sentinels was a surprise tho, i didn't know almost anything about it and tactical games aren't my cup of tea, but i ended up enjoying it! B1 - Free To Play - Bleach: Brave Souls ✅ (As a Shinigami, this game was a must... right? 😀) B3 - Starts With The First Letter of your PSNID - Siren ✅ (One of my favourite games from the PS2 era and probably one of the most underappreciated games ever) I4 - Antihero or Bad Guy - Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin +💯 (Chaos!!!) N5 - Oldest In Your Backlog - Bayonetta (Who doesn't love Bayo? She's the best! ❤️) G1 - That You've Been Meaning to Get To - Cuphead +💯 (Played with my 12-year-old son in coop. what a great experience!) Popular Post Baker
Game #7 done: Developed in a Foreign Country Final Fantasy III This was the last Pixel Remaster I needed to play. I saved it for last as I thought this would be the worst one aaaaand… it was. I didn’t really know in what square it could go except developed in a foreign country or player’s choice but that’s basically the same for me. Next up: Ghostwire Tokyo.
Popular Post hyousai
All righty, here I go. Seems a simple enough card. "Spawned an Expanded Universe" might be rough, but if Star Wars counts I could always go back to Jedi Knight II. Otherwise...I'll have to take a deeper look. "You think you will dislike" is in a similar boat, methinks.
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "That You've Been Meaning to Get To" Game: "Chained Echoes" A decent enough effort at making a ChronoTrigger inspired pixel-art RPG, it's got some good elements, but some real rough ones too. The actual world and pixel art are pretty strong, and there is the spine of a really good narrative... ...but the actual story is paced pretty badly, with the early game being hopelessly and unnecessarily complicated, featuring constant references to warring kingdoms and intrigue involving characters who largely don't matter (and in a few cases, don't even feature,) and ends up only really finding it's feet in the later game... ...only to then over-shoot, and fail to stick the landing, by introducing a rotoscope of barely-touched on characters, and trying to "one-up" its own plot twists, seemingly with every single cut-scene, to the point of absurdity. The side content narrative are good, and inject some needed humour and whimsy, but the main story is oppressively humourless and straight-laced, in a genre that works best when it's light-hearted and fun... ...and the combat and progression is absolutely saturated with cumbersome and unnecessary systems slowing down the pace. Not a complete flop, but also not a game that could live up to my expectations - particularly coming off the back of Sea of Stars, which did the ChronoTrigger-alike thing so much better! I've had this one a while, and ended up only getting to it recently (partly due to getting my fill via Sea of Stars... which also served as the long shadow which Chained Echoes couldn't get out from underneath! Popular Post GT__Jedi
Let's get this party started! Roki - Really thought I'd give this one a glowing review but by the 3rd chapter I was over the game and ready to just finish it. First 2 chapters were interesting, nice puzzles and characters, and the story made sense. The 3rd chapter had you playing 2 characters, switching back and forth, and that wasn't too bad - but the game just seemed to drag on, and on, and on....you get the drift. By the time I got to the ending (which took SO MANY cut scenes) I just wanted it to end.

Biscoito18
Hi guys, I need recommendations for my I-5 Recommended by a PSNP Member tile. 😁 I like horror games, still have a lot of great horror games from last year to play, especially one set in the space that is dead in my backlog for months now. I also like cozy indie games, especially the short ones since I can't play games all day as I like to go for a hike here and there to maintain my shape. Thanks! Looks like you have a couple of good recommendations already, but if I may add one that I think might actually sort of fit the bill as both a “cozy indie” (of a sort) AND a horror, I’d highly recommend a game called Stories Untold. It’s a very unusual horror anthology game, and is very imaginative and effective - and judging by some of the other games on your profile, I suspect you’d dig it quite a bit!
