Got Mog and I grinding everyone to Level 50 to get the stat boosts from the Magicite before I head on with the story. I am also glad I stumbled into a chocobo stable. That was the stable that ruined my last platinum attempt and forced me to replay the Floating Continent and I do not want to make the same mistake, so I am following RaveNScythE18's guide to the letter so I don't miss any place. Thank the Twelve this is the last Pixel Remaster. (I popped the plats for 2 and 3 while I was ill as I only had one trophy left for them.) But today I intend to go back to Dragon Quest Builders and get started on Chapter 2. I found a map of the Swamps of Sickness(which fits my mood as I am recovering from a cold, I still have crud in my throat and nose, bleck ) so I know how to route my resource gathering so I can get the quests done fast and carry the sick to the town ASAP, since you have to adminster to them and then wait a day for them to heal, which is not good when you only have 30 in-game days to complete the speedrun challenge. This is probably the tightest time routing in the game so I want to be perfect. There is also a lot of poisonous water and food and health is scarce so I have to be very careful as it's possible to die many times as there are a few mini-bosses you have to fight. I've already played through it blind twice on my other accounts. Playing the side quests almost made it feel brand new so that was nice. So happy to finally finishing it after saying I wanted to do it for so long. I was put off by the poison mist section and hearing how difficult the final valkyrie is, but I completed the mist in an hour or so and the valkyrie queen I beat first try. Thanks guide! I also started Ni No Kuni which I actually did do the platinum for the PS3 version all the way back when it first came out. I forgot just how much I love it. It's incredibly slow to get going and the trophies are few and far between so far, but I am really enjoying playing it again.

We both recovered from the blight and I managed to not only clear the chapter from start to finish in six hours(barring two hours I had to be out of the house for religious reasons), but I also got 100% of the challenges in this chapter, which was surprising as, despite this chapter and the rest having 10 extra days to clear the boss and pray return to the beam of light, this chapter is notorious for being the hardest chapter in the game, even more so than the final chapter, due to having to deal with tons of status conditions like poison, paralysis, inverted controls(confusion) and hunger drain by the dancing tree monsters. Also, the ghosts become the purple frightgeists and you get assaulted non-stop by them at night start after day 10. I had to sleep twice despite it eating up my time as the story won't advance until you use items on sick people and wait until the next morning. I even messed up and wasn't ready to cure people! But I actually got to the end of the chapter in under 30 days and got all three of the optional challenges, despite one of them requiring you to find three puzzle rooms and solve them. I was just lucky I got to the challenges early. The only hard one was fishing up a King Slime, because I ended up at the slime pool at sundown and those ghosts... Also managed to get the trophy for eating 20 unique foodstuffs. I had eaten over half in Chapter 1 and this chapter is loaded with foodstuffs because two of the patients you need to heal require various seafood items. Even though I didn't get to eat all the seafood items, I did managed to tip over 20 foods consumed and get the trophy. Sadly, the equipping eight accessories one will have to wait until Chapter 3 - while I did get all of the unique items here, only five count - the four status blocking rings and the strength ring. I already got the Featherfall Boots and Dragon Scale from Chapter 1. Will probably try to go back to FFVI tomorrow. I need to grind everyone up to Level 50 in prep for the final part of the World of Balance. I've had the guide up for days.

I plan to play it as soon as I get my next platinum. Glad to see someone who loves that game as much as I do. Popular Post GraniteSnake
First update: The Wolf Among Us - 0% > 100% - March 4th PGA Tour 2k21 - 0% > 100% - March 10th Bastion - 0% Steins;Gate Elite - 0% WRC 5 - 0% Two games completed so far! Making some pretty good progress. I'll be working on Modern Warfare III next so I'll probably not make much progress in the coming weeks. The Wolf Among Us - Played this one again for the first time since 2018, what a game! I remembered bits and pieces here and there but for the most part it was like playing a new game all over again! An amazing, intriguing story that always leaves you guessing. Bigby is an amazing lead and so too are the supporting characters. The atmosphere and setting of the game is fantastic too. And I also have to compliment the soundtrack, plenty of amazing tracks sprinkled in here and there. My personal favourite - PGA Tour 2k21 - Decided to jump into this one as I completed 2k23 earlier this month. A decent golf game, although these really lack the personality of the older Tiger Woods entries. The toughest trophy, shooting a round under par on Legend difficulty, could be cheesed which I am so thankful for. I'm not entirely sure I would've been able to do it legit. It was nice to play a golf game for a change, as it's a hobby I used to have when I was younger. Nowadays it's hard to find the time with six day working weeks.

Popular Post grumpaluffagus_1
Update #1: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 0% Assassin's Creed Revelations - 0% Powerwash Simulator - 33-->36% Disney Speedstorm - 0-->8% Lego 2K Drive - 0% The Witcher 3 - 14% Sleeping Dogs - 11% Immortals Fenyx Rising - 9% So this week was one of minimal progress. I spent most of my time working on two out of challenge games, Assassin's Creed 2 and Hello Neighbor 2. Both of these are very close to completion and should free up more time to work on the list. I finished a few more levels and popped a few trophies in Powerwash, this one will likely take me all challenge. I also made some good progress with Disney Speedstorm. It's a fun Mario Kart style racer that is free to play and consequently has grinds locked behind dailies, battle passes and convoluted level-up mechanics that will take a good amount of time, but there's nothing too challenging. Hoping to finish my out of challenge games this week and make meaningful progress on the list. As always, great to see everyone else's progress!

Resonance Of Fate - 0% 25. Fairy Fencer F (PS3) - 0% Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I see a lot of Final Fantasy talk, especially about the newly released Rebirth. So I guess here I am the only one blown away for the fact that Gyarados fell down to the NU tier? XD. In all seriousness, I am very curious about Rebirth. Too bad I never played any version of FF7 yet, something else that I will have to rectify lol. Now, backlog progress. Devil May Cry 5. This is power. After getting the platinum, I also completed all DLC and now I have another excellent 100%! Bloody Palace once again proved to me to be my absolute favourite special challenge in any game. So much fun playing it with all 4 characters. So many stages, so many strong enemies. That was heaven to me XD. One memorable stage is #70, where I had to face 3 Fury at the same time. Even though they are not bosses, they are still lethal regular enemies, even in 1 vs 1 battles. Facing 3 of them at the same time was jaw dropping to me lol. There were many other stages with insane combinations of enemies and even a certain nasty gauntlet (nasty in a good way of course XD). It would take me too long to write in depth everything I have in my mind about the Bloody Palace, so I will leave it there XD. Vergil DLC is awesome too. Vergil is always guaranteed high-quality. To me he is even better than Dante. I'm definitely not the one to say so. Long-short example: Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3. 50 playable characters, including Dante and Vergil. A youtuber, VersperArcade, made a video for each charcater featuring their missions. Not only Vergil has more views than Dante, but he even got the highest amount of views out of all characters! That's how it was back in the day, no idea if things changed since back then views-wise. But I do remember others in the comment section pointing out the same thing I just said. Now back to Devil May Cry 5. Playing all the missions with Vergil has been a blast. His moves like Judgement Cut End and World End were a sight to see. And also very much appreciated the bonus cinematics at the intro and at the ending. In the last post I said I was going to play White Day A Labyrinth Named School after Devil May Cry 5. I once again randomly changed my mind and played something else lol. So, for this challenge I still made zero progress >.< However! The game I decided to play is part of my actual backlog. I brought it to the fall/winter challenge, but did not complete it and since it was over 50% completed, I could not bring it to this challenge. So, about my progress of the game in question. Star Ocean The Divine Force. This platinum is insane, especially grind-wise. No stacking this time, I will be settled with 1 platinum XD. For the post game, I beat the 2 super dungeons and defeated the 2 super bosses. They were definitely tough, especially the second one. Even had to defeat them multiple times (trophy requirement) and they even power up with each encounter until they reach their full power at the third fight. Thankfully they stopped powering up after them. Still, I decided to defeat them way more than 3 times because it was convenient grind-wise, especially for money. Maybe if I checked a grinding guide there was a better method. Whatever! It's done lol. Very fun super dungeons. I admit facing the 2 superbosses once would had been enough to me, but still very fun lol. I got the Item Creation trophy. This trophy took me around 20 hours. I'm so glad it required to create "only" 90% of all items. In total 438 items, so 395 is the amount needed for the trophy. That's a huge amount and the item creation is very RNG dependant. Particularly tough were the rarest items which were, y'know, rare to get, but they also require the rarest and most expensive materials, so continuosly saving the game and loading the save file upon failure was a must do procedure. Using a checklist was mandatory too. The one I used had some inacurracies, but since "only" 90% was required, then that was still good enough. But if the requirement was 100%, then that checklist belongs to the trash can lol. The item creation soundtrack is good per se, but after a while it became annoying and the characters only saying the same stuff did not help. I forced to mute my TV lol. My Pokèmon videos kept me company XD. I'm making it sound that it was a very tedious experience, right? Actually, I had a lot of fun. Especially everytime I got a new item, even more for the rarer ones. I was happy to mark my checklist too XD. I even jumped when I finally got my trophy XD. However, this trophy is a never again trophy >.< After that, there was still another potentially platinum breaker trophy: collecting the treasure chests and this time it's a 100% requirement. There are 242 treasure chests. Unlike Star Ocean 4, the already opened chests do not stay displayed on the map, so I had to keep track by myself. Of course I already opened a considerable amount of chests without tracking anything. Forfeiting the platinum was my first thought, but that was not the right call, especially after getting the Item Creation trophy. I mustered all my willpower and with the help of a video I checked the locations for all the chests. Took me an entire afternoon and part of the evening, but I jumped again when I finally got my trophy XD. I was getting worried because the video was reaching its end and I still had no trophy and it was quiet the moment of truth when both me and the video reached the final treasure chest lol. Very glad my trophy was secured inside that final chest XD. I thought I was done with platinum breakers, but of course I was wrong. Collect 90% of all weapons. Once again, my sincerest thanks for not requiring 100%. I needed 123 weapons and 10 were left. Let's see how to get them... Item Creation!? I already said never again >.< And of course they were all weapons of the rarest tier. I still had some willpower left, so I just went for it. It was the third time in a row that I jumped in happiness for a trophy popping up lol. All that jumping reminded me of bunnies. Wait, I said bunnies? Collect all 18 mini bunnies trophy. Perhaps I should've just call it a day, but I went for it anyway lol. I checked all the bunnies location with the aid of 2 guides and I still did not get the trophy. I simply decided to be grateful that this did not happen with the 242 treasure chests trophy XD. In the end I found the remaining bunny, and yes I jumped again XD. Treasure chests, weapons and bunnies in just 1 day was crazy. Thankfully it was Sunday. Somewho even managed to find the time to go out lol. Today I will start the second playthrough of the story. Pretty much that's all I have left to get the platinum. It will take a while, but in theory no more platinum breakers. And fly for 100km. Nothing hard, but takes some time. Before starting to play the game, I really thought that Elena was going to be my favourite girl. I was right at first, until Marielle appeared and then I changed my mind XD. Always nice reading the progress of you all!

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness 6% Played a lot of Shantae Half Genie Her U E the lst week. I finished the any/100% speedrun and the hardcore mode (which wasn`t as hard as I thought it would be) playthroughs of the main game. Then I played the first DLC Pirate Queen`s Quest and started with the no upgrade playthrough (which has a few very hard platforming sections in the last level) and finished this DLC up with a second playthrough for all winscreens (which was a breeze, thanks to the ability to upgrade my character in this run). After that, I played the next DLC, Friends to the End. As usual I started with an normal playthrough and then did the any/100% speedrun. The last level on this one was even more frustrating than the no upgrade last level in Pirate Queen`s Quest. The 3 characters you control in this DLC (Bolo, Rotty and Sky) get seperated in this level and have to use thier specific abilities to get through it. The Bolo part wasn`t that hard, but the Rotty part (besides Shantae and Risky my favourite character in the series) was very frustrating "thanks" to her ability which is to throw her head and warp to the position, her head lands. She can only throw her head in a curve (that can be controled by the player) and when it lands it has a chance to bounce one or two times. Mix this with the demand for very precise throws and moving platforms in this level and you are in for a hard time, which got even harder through the time limit in the speedrun playthrough (I can`t remember when I cursed this much on a game, but I finished it in 1 hour and 14 minutes when the speedrun demands a time of 1 hour 15 minutes. The last Sky segment was harder as Bolo`s but not as hard as Rotty`s. Now I have only the costume DLC trophies to do, but I think, I do a little break to play other games, because I will make this one my next milestone (platinum 400) and I want to complete the first Shantae first (which I also started in the last week) to finish the series of with a platinum. I also played One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 and finished the second chapter of the story mode, which retells the manga/anime story from recruting Chopper up to the Skypiea arc.
Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 2: Hey all, hope everyone is having a good start to their weeks! I've been progressing slowly through FF7 Rebirth and the zones are so dense with story and activities that they almost feel like self contained games in themselves. The game in general feels like a massive toybox of mini-games and diversions wrapped up in a bigger story. It's really engaging, but weirdly fatigue inducing, which is a new feeling for me as far as a game like this goes. So I've been switching over to Monster Hunter to break it up a bit. On the topic of Monster Hunter, I've been working away on the crown grind and I've managed to bag a few, netting me a kill trophy in the process. I think Monster Hunter is going to be something I bounce between this and whatever game i'm playing in the list. It's quite a nice bit of downtime to get into a bit of simple straightforward grinding. This week: Apart from watching the new Fallout TV show which drops today - This week i'm going to carry on switching between FF7 Rebirth and Monster Hunter. I'm also going to try and finish the Powerwash Simulator Warhammer dlc, which has been a bit of a slog compared to the previous DLC offerings. And that's it for me, hope everyone is having a decent Monday and see you all in the next update. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - 41% > 47% Pacific Drive - 0% Dragon's Dogma 2 - 0% Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - 37% > 38% Dying Light 2 - 0% Dead Rising - 0%

Also, for some reason I need to go back to Cultist's Tower because I think that's where the Air Anchor, Edgar's final tool, is. Unfortunately, I can't do any of that right now. Haven PS5 0% > 17% Games complete: 1/18 LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars > 100% Had a lot of fun with this one and didn't expect to finish it so soon, just got ill and spent the week playing videogames in bed with @rjkclarke since I got him ill too (sorrryyy). Lego game plats are just super chill and we went on a massive Star Wars binge last week with finishing up Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka, plus starting Bad Batch which started off with a banger of an episode. LEGO Star Wars was fun, but the ground battles at the end were a little too tedious, but that's probably our fault for leaving them all until the end and having a lot to do. Destroying Yoda statues with Grevious and Dooku was pretty funny though, so it wasn't all bad, and when accompanied by @rjkclarke I'm always going to have a good time anyways. Beyond Two Souls > 100% Another game we cleared up pretty quickly, so now we don't have to hear the Green Goblin Willem DaFoe constantly saying 'I miss them so much' and Elliot Page crying on loop for most of the game. The game was fun on the first playthrough, but the clean up trophies hardly had any different dialogue really and I wouldn't say it's worth an extra playthrough, kinda tempted to go back and do Heavy Rain and Detroit Become Human at some point now though since I've heard the clean up for those is better. Anyway, another platinum in the bag, and a clean up time of about 6 and a half years. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater > 41% My first time playing through this game and I just played it blind on my first playthrough and absolutely loved it. The mystery, spy like story is executed so well, and so many of the characters are extremely memorable, same with the boss fights. Big Boss is really different to Solid Snake, I still prefer Solid Snake though, I mean kinda biased when @rjkclarke has him as his profile picture anyway though... For boss fights I'll just mention a couple to avoid being too spoiler heavy... the fight against the Pain was a bit rubbish, since who really cares he's a man made of bees? Had a lot of fun fighting the End, with holding him up 3 times to get that extra satisfaction along with popping another trophy. That sniper fight is just tense and absolutely perfect, seeing the glint of his sniper and then seeing he's spotted you makes you like FUUUUCKKK. Other boss fights in the game too are super memorable, with a lot of thought provoking themes that are present in both the first and second MGS games. I have wayyy too much to say about this one. Looking forward to doing the clean up and I think I'm going to leave it for my 125th milestone since I'm on 120 plats right now, and a platinum milestone from a game series I love would be nice to have, especially when it's a short platinum that won't feel too restrictive like milestones can sometimes. Grand Theft Auto V PS4 > 59% Popped the awful nuclear waste trophy whilst Rob played some Star Ocean, and got a trophy for getting killed by a shark, so yeah. Very exciting. Just chipping away at this over time. Haven > 17% Added this one to my list since I wanted to give it a play with it leaving Extra on the 19th. Cute couples game that's really chilled with a nice soundtrack and perfect to just play for a couple of hours or so at a time. The couple in the game are really wholesome, and have a few couple things similar to what me and Rob do which is cute. Looking forward to playing more of this one!
Popular Post ProfSeajay7
I just learned a very important lesson today... Spoiler Like an idiot, I forgot that SNES games used to punish you for being stupid. I had to go through Kefka's Tower thrice. Once to get all the stuff in it, once to get to the end and beat Kefka... and then once more when I got wiped because it turns out that you can make three teams of solo characters and when you reach Kefka, you do not get to choose from your whole party, you only choose from the teams, so I had Terra, Celes and Relm yelling at Kefka. No problem, I thought - these three females were Level 80-84, I could solo this. Then Tower of of Gods A used Repose, insta-killing both Terra and Celes. And since it was her desperation attack that she invokes on dying and that was the last foe I faced, I warped up to Kefka... and as you know, if anyone is dead on the warp, they are erased from the party. Anyone who's played the final boss of FFVIII would recognize that Kefka's Tower is the same deal as Ultimecia's Castle - you must create three teams, fight through the castle, and then have to fight Ultimecia, and if anyone died, they got replaced. I had nobody to replace the girls, so Relm was all alone against Kefka... and even though I used a Elixir to avoid the Heartless Angel aftermath, Relm got two-shotted by his NORMAL ATTACK. Yeah, her defense is crap. I'm sure anyone could kill Kefka with only three people, but I wasn't that prepared for Repose. I managed to put in three full teams of noobs and had Strago in the intial fight this time, his lores saved my bacon. Anyways, that out of the way, I can safely update, and you can guess what my update is, since MidnightDragon threatened me if I didn't do keep my word... 8 hours ago, ProfSeajay7 said: SPRING BACKLOG CHALLENGE: (1) Final Fantasy V (100% ) (2) Wild ARMs [PS5] (100% ) (3) Dragon Quest Builders (56%) (4) Cat Quest (100% ) (5) Final Fantasy VI (71% => 100% ) Yep, Kefka is finally off the menu and now I only have the Dragonlord to deal with. Well, I actually had to load up my clear save and go to the Cultist's Tower to pick up one more chest which had Edgar's final tool, the Air Anchor, in a hidden dooraway. The devs were sneaky hiding the switch that that door! But now I can say I've finally mastered all of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters and can get rid of them, freeing up my PS5 for other things. I just have two more chapters to do in DQB and these shouldn't be too hard despite the higher difficulty of the starting monsters and lack of food in Chapter 3. Gonna have to go to the desert immediately to get some pricky pears! But I'm already planning out my second wave of games for this challenge. @Redblaziken8, I can relate to being sick and video games helping with the sickness. I got a horrible bug this week and as I was recovering I decided to knock some of these games on my list out, which was good as I really enjoy them, so now I have time to add more games I enjoy! Popular Post Static_Rook
Update 2. 3/11/2024 Final Fantasy VII Remake 45% 47% Still getting back to where I was in FF7R, but I did manage to make a tiny bit of progress. I finally got the Biker Boy trophy. I gave it a few more tries on Normal, then finally bit the bullet and bumped it down to Easy. Got it first try after that. Didn't get to play much over the weekend so I'm a little behind where I'd like to be. I'll be focusing on this game for the week and following the Powerpyx guide. I'm hoping to at least knock out the Normal playthrough plus misc. cleanup, then I'll start on the Hard playthrough next week while mixing in some DBXV2. Have a good week! Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Ok, first update: - A Plague Tale: Requiem - 3% - Arcade Paradise - 1% >> 80% - Alan Wake Remastered - 0% - Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood - 44% - Afterparty - 0% I haven’t had much time to play anything, but I have been enjoying Arcade Paradise a lot. I’ve just finished the story and most of the grinder trophies, with machine specific ones left. I’m thinking Line Terror could be a platinum breaker for me. Outside of this event, I’m nearing the finish line for RDR2. I was hoping to get it for platinum 100, and I only have 35 gold medals left to get, so hopefully by the end of this week/early next week I’ll be celebrating

This is a very long and slow chapter, you don't get food until you get into the desert which is annoying. I was almost starving by the time I was able to craft cactus steaks. (Don't ask how they taste, I have no idea how you can cook a cactus with all those spines in its flesh. ) But eventually I got up to speed and now have all three teleportals placed and it's only day 17/30. I going towards the curious contraption to make the most powerful weapon in the entire game and the item that will help me rack up 2000 monster kills, though I'll probably save it for the final chapter which I get one for free midway through. Since this chapter is tight on time, I am going to have this one be a "clear the speedrun and then clean up the challenges", the final chapter has more than enough time to get all the challenges done, since one isn't even an exploration challenge. I should be done with this platinum before Thursday if I burn the midnight oil to get Chapter 3 done tonight. I have to start grabbing the titles I need for Wave 2 of this list soon since I am almost done with this section and I've only spent 12 days of the three months of this challenge on these games. For now, it's time to do some cleanup! I finished all the minigames last night FINALLY and will be working towards fighting Gilgamesh.
