i don't know if i did commented on this before but to me Zelda is the way to go.

 

sure i did watch a few episode of the series and nearly watch all the movies but i never in my life played a pokemon game before so, i chose Zelda over pokemon. i'm not into the SSB series, i only played the first game on the N64 and never actually continue it.

I don't know if any of Mario, Donkey Kong or Zelda are a proper franchise anymore. I haven't followed Nintendo's activity for years. Maybe I'd bring Mario to PS because I saw a video review of Luigi's Mansion on TV and it looked fun as hell.
