Popular Post Kristycism
#19 Dark Cloud Dungeon Master This was one of my very first games on the PS2 and I must've played it dozens of times. One of my files had 400+ hours in it - though I'm not entirely sure what I was doing for that whole time. Feels nice to have the Plat on my profile as a symbol of appreciation for one of my old favourite games - and feels nice that it only took ~20 hours - not looking forward to doing all the Medals on Dark Cloud 2 for my Plat there....

Playing wolfenstein for me is like drinking a coffee, it tastes good, addictive and it doesn't tire! Now it only lacks the new colossus that won't be an easy task (for the reasons everyone knows )

Popular Post JavaNext
#53 - Yakuza Kiwami Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 7/10 This is my second Yakuza Platinum and it was just as much fun as the first! I really enjoyed the story in this one and I think it felt more meaningful after having played Zero because I got see Kiryu and Nishikiyama's relationship grow and change over time, which made the ending feel a lot heavier. The road to Platinum felt much easier this time around mostly because I already knew how to play Mahjong and rest of the minigames. Having enjoyed playing Zero and Kiwami in proper order, I think I'm going to skip 6 and wait for Kiwami 2. #54 - The Evil Within 2 Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 8/10 I have mixed feelings about this particular sequel... They fixed a lot of the technical issues the first one had and even gave the visuals a nice bump, but having said that I feel like it lost it's original charm along the way. I miss the match mechanic (even with it's flaws), I miss the enemy variety, I miss the high tension moments of the more linear approach and most of all I miss Beacon Hospital. This isnt the over the top insane horror game that the first was, I also feel like there weren't any memorable monster designs other than the Guardian, and it really needed more boss battles. I thought the story was good but I kept expecting Leslie/Ruvik to be ultimate villian and was kind of dissapointed that they weren't even mentioned, maybe in the sequel... But even with all that this is still a solid game a competent sequel.

Popular Post madbuk
#230 - Bound This is a game that has interested me for quite a while now, but never enough to buy it when it was on sale (which it has been, many times). Thanks to PS+, I finally had the chance to play it, and I'm very glad I did. The controls take a while to get used to, but once you do they're extremely satisfying, and the levels are perfectly constructed around your moveset with plenty of secrets to find for speedrunning and collectibles. The trophy guide overstates the difficulty and time estimate quite a bit imo, it's more like a 6-7/10 and about 10-20 hours. Certainly not 40. Speedrunning the levels reminded me a lot of Mirror's Edge time trials, despite the two games being very different. The level design in both is incredible and really shines when you try to do them as fast as you can. I am very thankful for the patch that lets you skip cutscenes though. Would be rather grating watching everything over and over each attempt, and I'm not sure I'd be capable of even doing the time trials if they were mandatory to watch. With the ability to skip, the balance of challenge and leniency is perfect. I was going to save this game for a milestone, but I'm glad I didn't. It was worth jumping into straight away instead. Also it's my first platinum below 1% rarity, and I made it into the top 50 fastest and got the #2 spot, so that's pretty neat. I definitely recommend this game to people with PS+, especially if you have an interest in 3D platformers.
Popular Post Dr_Mayus
Plat Rain Ready #10 Dungeon Punks OK talking about judging a book by its cover. When the plus games got announced I took one look at this trailer and thought it looked terrible. The song was stupid, the gameplay looked slow and it said "that Marvel vs Capcom feel" which after platting the game I still don't know what they are talking about with that (I mean I know you can switch players but this game is nothing like MvC). Anyways I was going to stay far away from this game until @Dragon-Archon recommend it and I am glad he did. It was a really fun brawler that as the perfect length of a game. It is still free on Plus so pick it up and I hope you enjoy it as well

Popular Post Ghoststorm71
#28:SONIC UNLEASHED Difficulty: 7 out of 10 Enjoyment: 9 out of 10 #29: SONIC FORCES Difficulty: 2 out of 10 Enjoyment: 6 out of 10 Well that's it. Completed all of the Modern Sonic Boost games this year. Still have to work on the Adventure titles, but regardless these were still a great time. Out of Generations, Unleashed and Forces, Unleashed was definitely my favorite. A lot of people would argue that Sonic Unleashed is extremely difficult, but I believe if you play platformers often you can pull through. Sonic Forces was a little on the weak side, it wasn't very difficult, they removed a lot of things that were great about the boost formula, the controls were stiff and the amount of content was just lacking. I would have liked a stronger follow up to Mania, but it is a fine game for what it is. Now I'm debating on whether I'll tackle Gravity Rush 2 or Final Fantasy 7 next for my 30th platinum. It's so crazy that at the start of this year I was just at 9 plats and I've almost reached 30 in the span of just 9 months. Completing games 100% is something I find so much fun to do now, it makes me feel accomplished. I'm giving games in my backlog a shot, that I otherwise have ignored and have really ended up liking some titles that have gone under my radar. Good stuff.

Popular Post Cave Johnson
The Evil Within Pure Evil Unlocked all trophies for The Evil Within. I'm not really sure why I didn't play The Evil Within sooner. I've known about it for years, and I even saw my sister play some of it. If I had seen more of the game at that time, I might have played it then. Speculation aside, I ended up liking this game more than I thought I would. I plan on playing the second one soon, but I feel like taking a break after going through Akumu mode. As for the trophies, clearing Akumu mode is undoubtedly the hardest part of platinuming The Evil Within. There are some annoying chapter specific trophies, and getting all the collectables is pretty time consuming, but all of that is nothing compared to Akumu. I don't have a screenshot, but it took me 17 hours, and I died 445 times. I didn't use a walkthrough for Akumu, but I did look up a few parts that I just couldn't figure out. A lot of people seem to say that chapter 6 is the worst, but personally, I thought 10 and 11 were much harder than 6.

Popular Post eigen-space
Platinum #29 GORILLA - Nice car, sweetie. Enjoyment - 5/10 Difficulty - 1.5/10 This is kind of like a visual novel meets a "racing" game... with that term in quotes because the racing you have to do is barely a challenge. The only reason I gave it an additional 0.5 for the difficulty is because you do have to have just a smidge of talent with the racing part to get a few of the trophies. The OST is the highlight of the game, and it came with it in a bundle (and you can ONLY purchase the bundle in the PlayStation store). Decent game if you're at all interested in Italian history/culture as it gives some insight into it; the game's encyclopedia is definitely fun to read through, and I particularly liked that they made a reference to Eurovision. The other demographic this game would interest are those who want to pad their trophy counts-- it's a very quick platinum... could probably be done as quick as 5 hours.
Popular Post FrenchDevil54
Collector of Souls Obtain all trophies A decent brawler in the genre of Golden Axe or Dragon's Crown but unfortunately not as good as these ones due to one major flaw: the hit detection is really inconsistent. Otherwise good gameplay with various enemies, weapons, and levels.
