Popular Post starcrunch061
I've been lazy with plats, and lazier with posting in this thread. PLAT #241 - STAR OCEAN: TILL THE END OF TIME I always got a kick out of the title of this game. It should probably be 'Til the End of Time. Unless you're actually tilling fields at the End of Time. I loved this game back on PS2, and mostly loved it on PS4, except for the crashing. About a minute later I earned: PLAT #242 - STAR OCEAN: INTEGRITY AND FAITHLESSNESS This game is mediocre as hell, and a stain on the franchise. I had hoped to plat both of these with Star Ocean: The Last Hope, but OH MY GOD THAT GAME IS SO BORING!!!!

Popular Post Ala-Arska
#350! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PS4) Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy Oh, c'mon Lucia, why so serious? WHY SO SERIOUS?! I never got the Platinum in the PS3 version, thanks to missing the "Oblivion Walker" trophy. With this milestone, I can feel more at ease. I really, really liked the older generation's Skyrim, but this PS4 enhancement I absolutely love The most important change is the "removal" of the game-breaking aspect of having too big of a save file. In the PS3 version my game was unplayable after hitting that 10MB-ish mark, but now I got no problems at all. Finally, the freedom to roam! Graphics are smoother, of course. The landscape was pretty before, but now the scenery can be purely breath taking All of the DLC comes with the package. I did it all up to 100%, from being a sucky vampire to slaying a Legendary Dragon. Dragon, meet mace! Main story itself feels kind of short and unimportant. From rags to riches, you start out as a prisoner, but end up being a Dragonborn all too fast. Luckily there's, I don't know, hundreds of side missions to keep one occupied for 100+ hours, easily. Most quest lines are well written, too. Leveling up via raising skills is addicting and a huge motivator. Picking up flowers and butterflies ain't a joke, gotta improve my Alchemy Multitasking quickly became the driving force in my hero's, Joey Fat One's ('N Sync 4 life!), epic journey. That, and Getting Married. If infinite looting, dungeon dwelling and a gorgeous northern continent tickles your fancy, then get Skyrim and enjoy to your heart's content (Post Scriptum: I feel like I've earned a vacation from longer games, with this and Fallout 4 having exhausted me to the core. A break from Bethesda, please!)
Popular Post jacks
Been kind of slacking on lengthy platinums (will be working on AC: Origins), and kind of playing games in my backlog that have relatively easy trophy lists that are fun. Platinum #88 Ark: Survival Evolved Apex Predator Collect Ark: Survival Evolved trophies! Enjoyment: 2/10, if you are hell bent on playing this game for trophies. Difficulty: 1/10, but the time it'll take depends wildly on whether or not you'll be using in game Admin commands, because 100% legit probably will run you hundreds of hours. Whatever the hell you do, do not plunk down money on this game for trophies. That's your warning, your final warning (like, don't say I didn't warn you). While I had faint interest in the game from the time it was over on One and PC, generally the fun is had in assembling a group of friends (and slightly less solo) and building elaborate encampments with tamed beasts, amassing weaponry to survive, and then taking on super bosses after pillaging artifacts. If you just want an incredibly pricey platinum that you can bullshit by just zipping around the map with elaborate 16+ digit combinations plugged in a PC-style command console via tediously entering it with a controller or more simply using a USB keyboard, then expect 5 hour slog that is absolutely wretched, boring and utterly mind numbingly painful. It's an easy Ultra Rare platinum AND 100%, but like said... don't let your trophy hunting get the better of you, or at the very least, grind it out and then salvage some fun by playing it the way it was meant to be played. Platinum #89 Minecraft: Story Mode Chip Off the Old Block Earned all Trophies Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 1/10 A lot of people are down on the Telltale games, especially as of late, but this was probably one of the only real "whoops" they have had since they shifted towards this formula with the original Walking Dead. Missable trophies that really shouldn't have been included in the game (they had no actual meaning, and were relatively easy to miss if you weren't looking at a guide), and my biggest gripe being that by the end of Episode 4, I really had no idea what they were going to do next, then Episode 5 hit, and I'm sitting there saying "Oh... well, I guess this is a thing". Can't tell if it was a blooper during the pre development phase, or they really were out to con you to sell you a season pass on top of your... wait for it... season pass, but it was a hard pill to swallow to see a "2 seasons in one, and double the price, too!" kind of set up, when this wasn't exactly the best work from them, either. Platinum #90 Batman I'm Batman Complete Batman Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Not much to say about this, another easy one. I did like the detective segments, the story (and spin on Rogue Gallery villians), especially loved the hard-R tone, but this one seemed a little jankier than their other efforts. A step up from Minecraft which I had played before this, but maybe not so much my favorite by Telltale (though it lays a very solid foundation for a franchise). Platinum #91 Guardians of the Galaxy A Little Help From My Friends Complete Guardians of the Galaxy Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Probably Telltale's best since Borderlands. Though some of the choices seemed a tad inconsequential in the end, and the hilarity of the comparison screen showing that me and like 80%+ of people seemed to agree on a majority of the choices, lending to one of the most one sided Telltale game since they started doing this format, but I'm not going to lie that when I finished it up, it did lead me pondering some of the choices I made, and wondering how it would pan out if I had done it differently (I was a Gamora guy, but I'm even contemplating just shortly after finishing it once to fire it up again and play through as a 100% Rocket guy). I have not hit the replay button on a Telltale game since Borderlands, so I guess that says something about how much I enjoyed this game. Oh, and Drax steals the show, by far. Highly recommended, even if you are a little burned on Telltale games.

Popular Post madbuk
#229 - Mass Effect 2 I can't say Mass Effect 1 really captured me, in regards to gameplay or story... or even the characters really. It all felt so mediocre. But I had already gotten this from PS+ and I at least want to finish the trilogy, as it's a very influential and beloved franchise. I liked most of the cast in this one, although Grunt and Mordin, and Samara felt rather generic. To be fair you get Samara so late into the game that I never really gave her a chance. This game also did a better job at making me excited for Mass Effect 3 than ME1 did for ME2. This really felt like it was building towards something grander, and I'm excited to see where it goes next (although I hear the ending is a massive letdown though. I have no idea what happens because I've miraculously avoided spoilers, but I guess I should go in with low expectations). The gunplay was far better in this game too, although I did miss the infinite ammo lol. Insanity was annoying, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Certainly not the 8/10 the guide makes it out to be. As an Infiltrator you can just run past hard fights and trigger the next cutscene by turning invisible. It's sad kills no longer give you XP, that was a satisfying pop-up every time you got a kill in ME1. Hope ME3 brings that back.
Popular Post Dessane
Got my 25th plat last night by finishing OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood. Was a real challenge, its a tough game and thanks to being PS+ ages ago the rarity got a real boost. RAD mode and the Pro challenges are pretty tricky but the game is very fair and once it clicks with you you'll progress quick.

ShayShay1993
#181 - LittleBigPlanet 3 I finally got around to this after it being free on Plus back in February. This was also the first of 10 plats for my Sony Rewards thing (GO ‘MURICA ??) I have to say this is the easiest and worst of the LBP games in my opinion. It didn’t have the same charm the first two did; which I chalk up to Media Molecule not developing it, in a similar fashion of Dark Souls 2 missing Miyazaki. Overall I’m glad it was free and that all I paid for was the dlc.

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
A Sonic Hero So, is this better than Generations? Yes.......ish. Like Generations, it does alot right; the story has more weight to it (and is more corny, which is always a plus), the environments are beautiful, the gameplay is super smooth, and the soundtrack is great once again. The character creation is pretty weak, but I can't say it ruins anything. Its just a fun little option. Well, mandatory option, but still. I had two overall problems, one which I said before that is the jumping feels very awkward and sometimes unreliable. However, this is for the most part remedied by the levels being incredibly short, which allows for fewer moments of frustration. In fact, odd enough, I say the short levels are the best thing about Sonic Forces. Not only are you getting compact little action pieces almost every stage, in greatly cuts back on any potential frustration for completionists, as its easy to get to collectibles quicker, and checkpoints are closer together, and thanks to your infinite lives, that means you have infinite chances to grab them without restarting. My second problem is Classic Sonic, once again. I felt he came close to being uneeded in Sonic Generations, but in Forces? I KNOW he's pointless. He still plays like a more drawn out slower version of Modern Sonic's 2d segments, but somehow, even worse, and for some reason, they STILL DIDN'T even TRY to replicate the old genesis physics. Story wise, I am serious when I say he could be completely axed with no consequence. Seriously. Take him out, and the story does not change a bit. I gonna spoil you all here, here is how all of his cutscenes play out; Character: Whoa, something plot relevant is happening! Tails: Hey guys! Remember Classic Sonic exists? While we are at it, just pretend those trailers showcasing the villians teaming up never existed. Because the game sure did. Only two of them get boss fights. TWO. All in all, I would say Forces is a good follow up to Generations, but that would be false, as this game came out 5 years later, with plenty of sub-par Sonic games inbetween. Whatever improvements brought here feel like its too little too late to really dazzle and build Sonic back up again, and I can't help but feel Sonic Team will change things up YET AGAIN in the next installment. Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #30: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition (PS4) Game Score: 8.5/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 I was very pleased to finally get to play this game as I had watched friends play it some time ago and thought it looked like a blast. And if very much was. The story is pretty damn good, especially if you're into the Middle-earth universe. I enjoyed the combat system as it was always a fun challenge to see how long I could get combos and hit streaks going for and just decapitate Uruks left and right. Good times. My only gripe with the game would be that the controls are noticeably imperfect. Many times when in battle, I'd try running left or right or in an angle direction and Talion would either get caught up, not respond or run in a way that was completely different than what I was pressing. Not all the time, but enough to where I would have scored the game a 9 if not for the fact I cursed on more than a few occasions at the wonky controls. But still, this was a great game and I'm looking forward to playing the sequel in a few weeks after I catch up on some other games I haven't completed yet.
Popular Post Jesaya815
#220 Yomawari: Midnight Shadows Shadows at Midnight Earned all other trophies Yomawari: Midnight Shadows was just as good as its predecessor (Yomawari: Night Alone, which I really loved). Nippon Ichi Software Inc. took everything from the prequel, mixed it with some new ideas, and created a flawless transition between the two. This one reminded me of Project Zero 2, because there are two characters that try to find each other and find out what's going on in their town, filled with lots of spooky ghosts. Plus, the story is as deep and touching. Had more problems with finding some of the collectibles though. It can get annoying to repeat all your steps or walk the same path multiple times, just because an enemy kills you while searching around. Other than that, there isn't much to criticize or to praise without spoiling too much. Everyone who enjoys japanese horror games should buy it.

Popular Post MeteorHawk
DOUBLE PLATINUM DAY!!! #86- GRAVITY RUSH (PS Vita) It's All Relative Rarity: 15.14%- Rare (PSN Profiles) / 5.5%- Very Rare (PSN overall) Enjoyment: 7.5/ 10 Difficulty: 5/ 10 Time Taken: 3 Years, 5 Months, 3 Days Yet another game I got started on a while back then shelved because reasons. Once I got back into it, I found myself really enjoying the adventures of Kat the mysterious gravity shifter as she saved the floating city of Hekseville. Who is Kat? Why does she have these powers? What are the Nevi? What is the story of Raven, the other shifter who has a grudge against Kat? ... none of these questions are answered and the campaign is overall very brief. It feels as if the developers had intended there to be more game in here but they had to cut a great deal out in order to get it onto the Vita. I did find the mechanics of the game very interesting once I'd more or less gotten the hang of them. Some of the challenges, however, were a load of bollocks, especially the sliding ones. I just found that particular mechanic completely useless and made some of the challenges more traumatic than needed be. Then again, seeing as it took me about two days to Gold all of them I probably shouldn't whine. I will 100% this before deleting it to make room for more Vita games. Overall, it is certainly one game I would recommend all Vita owners get. I look forward to playing the remastered edition on PS4- which I hear is much easier- as well as the sequel, because perhaps then some of my many, many questions will be answered! #87- KINGDOM HEARTS RE: CHAIN OF MEMORIES (PS3) Chain of Memories Master Rarity: 4.88%- Ultra Rare (PSN Profiles) / 1.3%- Ultra Rare (PSN overall) Enjoyment: 6/ 10 (first playthrough), 2/ 10 (Platinum run) Difficulty: 3/ 10 Time Taken: 4 Years, 1 Month, 1 Week Being from Ireland, I didn't get to play this on PS2. I was a big fan of the first Kingdom Hearts game when I first played it in 2006. I was a kid at the time and although I owned a Game Boy Advance, I was a broke kid that didn't have any money to buy the original version and I would get higher-priority games for my consoles at birthdays and Christmases. I had to read up on the story when Kingdom Hearts II was bamboozling the shit out of me because I had no idea who this Organisation XIII were, what the story with this Namine girl was, why Sora had been asleep for a year and several other plot beats. I had heard mostly good things even though the card battling idea sounded weird to me. When the game was finally announced as part of the I.5 HD Remix in 2013, I was delighted to finally be able to play it. Perhaps it was because I was so used to previous combat systems, but the card battling system didn't do much for me at all. I got bored with the room generation and constant battling. The game is extremely grindy, and that was just the campaign. I found the story overall enjoyable but the gameplay was mediocre at best, especially when I was able to break the game with certain sleights that made boss battles no challenge whatsoever. I felt like I was just playing it out of obligation. And then there was the platinum run... oh boy. After one playthrough, I knew this was going to be an absolute slog, which is why I put it off for so long. Obviously many others feel the same way, so it is no surprise to me that this otherwise straightforward platinum is an Ultra Rare. Playing through a game I didn't hugely enjoy three times with increasing difficulty was no fun, but then having to grind both Sora and Riku up to LV 99 (there's literally no reason for either to be that level, both campaigns can easily be beaten around Lv 55) and collect the enemy cards (only five of them are in any way useful) was extremely tedious and laborious. Definitely my least favourite game in the series... and I have to do it ALL AGAIN on PS4! "But Conor," you might ask, "Why would you put yourself through that?" To that I say, "Firstly, how dare you call me by my first name like you know me. Secondly, I am a fan of the series and I want every platinum before Kingdom Hearts III comes out." With this, I also officially retire my PS3 disc for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix as I have all the games on PS4, which are, as far as I can tell, the definitive versions of the games. I thank you for being patient to get you finished, may you sit proudly on my shelf and perhaps even be enjoyed one day again by whomever I bequeath my collection to. Anyway, pretty cool getting two plats in one day! Edited November 17, 2017 by MeteorHawk

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Guardians of the Galaxy A Little Help From My Friends Completed Guardians of the Galaxy Here's to not looking like Chris Pratt at all! A typical Telltale series game: choices matter little, glitches annoy more or less, but the story is a good one. It's hard not to like Guardians of the Galaxy. Much like in movies, the characters are great and classic songs highlight the key points Of course everyone look and sound very different from their "live" counterparts, but meh, close enough. Drax is still the best thing around! As for the music, the soundtrack is as awesome as expected. Devs could've used those songs more effectively, but it's good listening nevertheless. A nice touch is using old album titles as trophy names. How many of those great records have you heard of? Guardians of the Galaxy is a solid effort overall. It's missing that certain something, though. Pretty okay, but not truly great
Popular Post TwilightSpira
PLATINUM 154 - DEAD SPACE Date of achievement : November, 16, 2017 Enjoyment : Difficult: 5,0 Hardest Trophy: Epic Tier 3 Engineer/Don't get cocky, Kid Dead Space is a 2008 Survival game developed by the late EA Redwood Shores, AKA Visceral Games for the new consoles at the time. Dead Space is a 3rd person survival horror game, we take control of Isaac Clarke, a engineer aboard the USG Kellion. Upon receiving a distress call from the Starship USG Ishimura, those aboard the extraction corporation embarks to investigate. Soon after arriving at their destination and witnessing the remaining wrecks of the starship, a malfunction occurs forcing all aboard to dock inside the Ishimura. Still recovering from the recent crash and unaware of the Doom that awaits then, they make their way inside the abandoned Ishumura. Isaac is tasked to return the basic power level to normal while all others wait inside the reception room, soon as power is restored, a mysterious monster attack one of the crew members turning him into shreds, still unaware of what just happened, all of the remaining crew members run for their lives. As a 3rd person survival game expect tons of chilling moments and tons to collect and loot, dead space introduced new ways to the genre, such as numerous no gravity segments, beautiful isolation and excellent score. In the end, Dead Space still manages to delivers a fantastic experience almost a decade since release. Even trough the series suffered greatly for being part of EA, matter of fact was abandoned because of their greedy ways, we can't deny that his legacy will forever remain among those that managed to survive this twinkle twinkle little star of a game.

Great job on Dead Space. One of my favorite horror games, but a shame I never got around to playing it back in 2008. Hope you play through Dead Space 2. I'm actually planning to play that game after I finish Bloodborne. Hardcore difficulty will of course be hard but after six years and a lot of tips and strategies, I don't think it will be that bad. Also got Dead Space Extraction but not sure when I'll be playing that. Don't know if I'll ever get Dead Space 3. I don't like the idea of playing through a whole entire playthrough with a partner, since I've had people bail on me in the past with various online games. I can't stand EA. Them shelving Maxis was basically my breaking point.
Popular Post backslash240
King of Medici Earned all Just Cause 3 Trophies Just Cause 3. I´m glad to finally get this one, Just Cause 2 was my first platinum so it´s nice get back. Originally i was planning to make this one the 101th, but it took way longer than expected. The game is not flawless bikes are almost impossible to drive, the bomb challenges make no sense and the framerate wants nosedive sometimes. Also the tone is a little bit more serious than 2, so it´s not as jokey. Anyway it´s Just Cause, the mobility and the new tools make the game fun as hell, i can forget of everything else put some music and start destroying stuff and that´s what i like about the series... Being a madman destroying stuff while flying with my old trusty infinite parachute HAHA!!! Thanks to DrPuspe for the call out, it took a while to get one, so i really appreciate it! Anyway i got some stuff from October that i need to finish, so gotta keep going!
