Icebrand1270
Plat 121 Puzzle Showdown 6/15/2017 And so the Platinum Trophies keep coming for me. That's 12 Plats on the year for me so far. This seemed like a fun little thing to relax with when I bought it off the PlayStation Store for PS4. For the most part, it was. The jigsaw puzzle backgrounds were beautiful (it is said to look even better with a Pro and 4K but it still looked good to me with a standard PS4 and standard HD) and there are well over 50 backgrounds to choose from, each coming in sizes ranging from 28 to 510 pieces. You will need 2 controllers for the "Showdown" trophies as there is no online versus in this game, only local versus. The trophies are fairly straightforward: getting bonuses for speed, accuracy, line and isthmus (I'm not sure what that is but I got it quick), doing 50 puzzles, doing 10 versus matches ("Showdowns"), etc. Of course, what's a jigsaw puzzle game without a big puzzle challenge? In this case, I refer to a trophy called "Puzzle Master", which requires the player to put together a 510-piece jigsaw puzzle in under 2 hours. This took some experimenting for me as I was never good at jigsaw puzzles as a kid. i eventually accomplished this with the Bald Eagle puzzle with roughly 3 minutes to spare. All in all, a nice and somewhat relaxing departure from what I normally game with. Interesting fact: this makes 15 consecutive Plats from digital-only games (my last retail game Plat was the PS3 version of WWE 2K17 back in November of 2016). Not that all digital-only games are easy, of course, as this streak has seen me earn Peggle 2, Bully, Parappa the Rapper and Rocket League among some easier Plats. Still, I shall see if the mood takes me towards a true AAA game (I'm starting to make headway on the PS4 version of Skyrim again) or perhaps a B-List or C-List retail game. Time will tell, I suppose.
TheActualMeg4cy
Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR - #4 Definitely not the worst game in the world. It was rushed to release (as indicated by the abysmal amount of content present at launch) and was extremely buggy too. The game still feels unpolished (runs at 30-sub FPS, which is weird considering the other games in the family of the engine such as Star Wars Battlefront are capable of running at 60 FPS with some drops) but if you're able to look past these issues, at a low price on the store, you're definitely not gonna hate yourself for buying it. The platinum was enjoyable, with some of the challenges in the challenge mode being downright stupid most of the time as opposed to being fun, so if you do plan on playing this title and you have little patience, be warned that challenge mode will most likely trigger you as it triggered me several times. I bought this off the store for €7.50 on sale with a PS+ discount. It is well worth the €7.50, if you're into golf games. Overall Difficulty - 5/10 Next Up? Killing Floor 2 Tales From The Borderlands (I was supposed to have obtained the platinum from Tales From The Borderlands and Uncharted 4 for this next post but there have been complications in doing so. I plan on obtaining the Uncharted 4 platinum shortly, as soon as I can knock out the Killing Floor 2 and Tales Plats)

Popular Post DesmaBR
Platinum #61 Master of Both Worlds Acquired all trophies Hey, got another Ultra Rare... But it's already at 4.95%, so it won't be UR for long. One of the few, if not the only, PS4 game that's only available physically (You can't download it on the PSN Store). That made interested in this picking this up, since it's a strange scenario (Especially when you can get this digitally on the Switch) And I gotta say, it's loads of fun. I mean, sure, it's Tetris and Puyo Puyo, those are already established formulas; but this game nails the crossover. For such different games, playing a Tetris vs. Puyo Puyo match actually feels pretty fair, never felt like one mode had the advantage over the other. But my real surprise was the story mode. It's not a masterpiece of storytelling or anything, but it's actually really charming. I certainly kept me wanting more. Well, sometimes charming It's even fully voice acted, and I can tell the VA's were having fun while recording this. My only issue with this game (Outside of Party Mode, which is pretty lame) really was the Puyo King (x100,000) trophy. Sure, there is a Mino King (x100,000) too, and it makes sense in theory, having this trophy for both modes. But you'll destroy far more Tetris Blocks than Puyos in any match, to the point where I had finished basically every other trophy except the major grinds for both modes, I had destroyed 80000 Tetris Blocks and popped 17000 Puyos. And for the rest of the Tetris grind, just a few matches on Big Bang mode (Which is probably my favorite part of the game, btw) and I was set. For the Puyos, though, I basically end up rubberbanding my controller and leaving the console for 6 hours turned on to get the trophy. At least I'm done with this

Its the usual format of a large number of short missions/hubs with lots of collectibles. Well worth a look if you have a PSVita and like Lego games. Popular Post Piggie_Pie
Stories: The Path of Destinies This was a very fun Choose-your-own-adventure style game. The narrative was fun and witty. The game-play satisfied the hack-n-slash craving. Over all for game play and enjoyment I would give this game an 8/10 personally 3/10 for Platinum Difficulty.

Popular Post Donkrieg1011
Plat #71: Horizon Zero Dawn Great example of an open world game done right. The game started slow but picked up very quickly and became engaging halfway through. Side quests and collectibles never get boring because they are tied to the main game somewhat. Luckily the developer didn't make the trophies as sadistic as their previous Killzone games. Overall, it is one of the best open world game right now and I'm very interested in what the new DLC is gonna offer

Popular Post Undead Wolf
#154: Yakuza 0 Where It All Began Obtain all other trophies. I finally got this done since starting it in late January, and I've got to say, this game is incredible. It's straight up one of the best PS4 games I've played yet. It manages to tell a super serious and engaging story, but at the same time, it's not afraid to get goofy in the side content. The game had me laughing my ass off, especially when it came to the Walking Erection. I love that dude. Speaking of side content, this game has that in abundance. There's so much to do! Fishing, darts, you name it. There are even classic games you can play on the fully functional arcade machines. It's pretty awesome. You can easily get distracted away from the main story for tens of hours dong this stuff. I happen to think this game is criminally under appreciated. It's my favourite Yakuza game, and better yet, people who have never played one before aren't missing out on anything since it's a prequel. I can't recommend this game enough. I leave you with this gem. Kiryu has such a heavenly voice. Edited June 16, 2017 by Undead Wolf

Popular Post madbuk
#202 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered Platinum This game is a huge, huge step down from the previous game, unfortunately. The first game was far from perfect, but this game just takes the flaws of the first game and magnifies them to absurd levels. The biggest issue, by far, and this is an issue that plagues the Uncharted series as a whole - but especially Uncharted 2 - is the combat/puzzles/platforming/quiet time ratio is way off. It's just gunfight after gunfight after gunfight after gunfight after gunfight. This is especially bad during the chapters in the town (where you first meet Jeff) and the chapters in the Tibetian town... The issue being that this ends up taking up the majority of the game, lol. I can only recall... 3 puzzles in this entire game? They were pathetically easy as well. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the gunplay in this is worse than in 1 as well. So not only is there an absurd amount of fighting going on, but they are also even less enjoyable than they were before. Very frequently, I would have my reticule on an enemy's head, press the fire button, and the bullet would go to the side of the enemy instead. It's not accurate in the slightest and is a huge pain to put up with. Another thing I didn't like about this game compared to the first game is that the chapters felt so disjointed from each other. I really enjoyed how in Uncharted 1, it felt like every chapter was directly connected and it was like you could have removed the chapter system entirely and just had it feel like you're exploring this one massive island hub. In this game, there are so many timeskips and jumps between areas. While this does help offer variety in setting, the island from 1 had quite a bit of variety anyway. So... what did I like about this game? The story was very generic and boring, but as with 1 the characters were a lot better than I remember and it was always nice to see Drake and Elena interact with each other, and Chloe wasn't quite as annoying as I remember her being. But... that's really all I can think of. Thankfully, I remember enjoying 3 so I can't wait to get started on that once I finish Brutal mode of this game. I won't be able to use the tweak exploit for this one, so that'll be fun! ...Kill me. All that said... this wasn't quite as bad as I remember it being when I played it on PS3, even though it is still by far my least favourite Uncharted game.

I'll be the last person to say the Uncharted games are masterpieces and I agree with you on the "too much fights, not enough puzzles/platforming" as well as the bland stories but U2 Chloe is the best character of the series after Scully, in my opinion (I didn't like U3 Chloe as much, there was something very weird about her model, it's like she went from Lara Croft to Soccer Mom). Charlie from 3 is awesome as well, I think, it's Nathan Drake as played by Jason Statham. I liked Elena in 1 but in 2-4 she annoyed me to no end. Popular Post Meacham
Platinum #203 - Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor: GOTY | Enjoyment: 8/10 | Difficulty: 2/10 | 17/6/17 | Recommendable | My third Middle-earth platinum.. I'm sure people will be asking why? why not? you like a game this much you go for it but honestly, I literally have 3 different reasons why to play it 3 times. First time I played it, it just came out.. it was buggy, PS4 was practically new and I love The Lord of the Rings universe so played it regardless. Loved it then. Then the second reason was I played it on PS3 that I rented from a friend, I heard it was a very bad port and I was curious.. ohhh it was a very bad port indeed. I can't remember the amount of times it crashed and how long it loaded an area. So that was reason to, curiosity. Reason 3 is Shadow of War was announced. I wanted a re-cap, I've never played the DLC which is average at best. Good backstory and who can forget it now runs on 4k. It looks rather decent considering it wasn't built for it so it was good. Won't make a huge explanation because I think I done it when I platinumed it the first time. I will talk about the DLCS however. I'm glad they come part of the GOTY edition because there is no way I'd buy them seperately. They're not awful they actually shown some really good things. Just short isn't it. Every DLC seems to be short and it's annoying. Lord of the Hunt was decent specifically for Torvin. He's the only character in the whole game + DLC that has even a bit of humour. Obvious reasons why Talion and Celebrimbor don't but every other NPC is serious also (Nature of the game, I know) All I can say is A LOT MORE TORVIN IN SHADOW OF WAR PLZZ. Oh, Test of the wild I got really, really lucky.. I loved the challenge and finished it off on the final second, trust me it was nerve racking. Bright lord wasn't too bad. Apart from the Sauron fight.. He's the big bad guy and he's too easy and only got stronger because of Celebrimbors skinny fingers (If you know what I mean) It was good to play as regular celebrimbor though, he seems a bit weak when you first get used to him but he's alright in the end. Nothing to this one, Freed 30 slaves in 3 minutes on a Caragor to get the platinum. Nice little munch for the final image, goood girl.

Popular Post MACZ2021
Platinum #14 KINGDOM HEARTS Master Obtain all trophies. For some reason I was thinking this was my 13th platinum trophy. This was my first time actually 100% completing Kingdom Hearts 1. I've been with the series for all 15 years that it's been around but now I finally did it (10 year old me would be impressed). The only thing that I actually had trouble with was the low drop rate for Goofy's Defender shield, I think even with all 3 Lucky Strike abilities equipped to the party it still took 30 minutes to an hour for it to drop. Synthesis material farming was somewhat tedious but only a few enemies made me a little frustrated. When I got Ultima Weapon, I felt really proud since it was easy for me to get in some of the other games but I had never gotten it out of all the other times I played KH1. Felt even more proud when I took down the secret bosses since they always gave me trouble even though I knew what to do against them for a long time. Managed to get the speedrun trophy on proud difficulty so if anyone is planning to plat the game it is possible but you gotta make sure you know what you're doing. I was able to clear every world and all 4 of the main colosseum tournaments and still make it in time before hitting 15 hours (pretty sure I went to the final boss right when the timer was at 14:29 and I was level 59 I believe. After that I just went on beginner, got the trophies for not touching equipment and not hitting continue if you die. I used the free items that the game gives you (a bunch of power/defense/ap up) on Sora and was able to power my way through up to the second Hollow Bastion visit but by that point I just had to rush to the boss and it was pretty easy after that. I don't want this to get any longer so I'm going to end my reply here. It's definitely doable, just a bit troublesome for a few trophies ?
