Popular Post Justin__Harris
Platinum #14: Titanfall 2 (PS4) Game Score: 9/10 Platinum Difficulty: 5/10 (for me it was like a 9/10 as I'll explain below) I really enjoy this game and find it immensely fun. What was not fun was attaining the Platinum because I found getting the Gauntlet trophy "...Becomes the Master" incredibly difficult. I know a lot of other people had no issue with this, but I certainly did. Maybe it's because I only started playing video games this past November when I got a PS4 Pro after a 12 years hiatus. Maybe it's because I'm 31 and my reflexes aren't as sharp as they used to be. Maybe it's because playing FPS on consoles is still vastly inferior to PC KB+M. Maybe it's just because I'm not that good at video games. I don't know, but I accomplished this pain in the ass trophy and feel pretty good about it. I guess I could have skipped it for awhile and played other games, but with 998 total trophies, I wanted my 1000th to be a Platinum, so my OCD wouldn't allow it. I'm bragging to no one in particular, I just feel accomplished. And it feels good. Welp, looks like I can get back to killing Nazis in Wolfenstein: The New Order! Only got a 32.70, but I'll take it. No way in hell I'll ever beat Gamesager's 19.80 run. 1000 trophies and #1000 was a which makes my OCD happy. Popular Post Komrade_Konrad
#43 - Spy Chameleon (such a sad platinum image) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 The game mechanics have some potential, and most levels are pretty fun to play through, but some of the level design is just very frustrating in terms of precision. Combine this with having to beat each level 3 times on average (2 times minimum) to complete all the objectives for the trophies/plat and it kind of sucks the fun out of it. If it had just been the 75 levels with one playthrough each, I would have rated it higher, but with the 3 replays it just becomes a bit of a slog. There were also a few bugs on Vita that could cause you to lose your most recent checkpoint, which could be a pain, but all the trophies popped just fine. That said, it was a fairly quick and easy platinum that kept me entertained enough throughout, but I wish they had executed the concept a little better. Not much else to say about this one.

Popular Post Alternatewarning
Platinum #16: Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Overall, I really liked this game. I will say, though it was much more challenging than I expected. That's not always a bad thing but I felt like it was more of a difficulty wall than a curve with some of the bosses. But otherwise, it was a good game. I probably won't be getting any more in the "parent" series since I've heard this is one of the easier ones. I will, however, play II and III as I really want to know how the story ends. I really enjoyed the Divine Knight battles but they only showed up at the end. I hope for more in part II.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Perfectionist I really wanted to like this game. Buts all the little stuff that weighs it down. Let me get the good stuff out there; I live the creativity and the various ways it uses its paper themes to create it world, and Atoi is hands down the most adorable video game character I've ever played as. Seriously, look at this. But unfortunately, like LPB, it feels like it spends more time being creative than trying to be a well designed game. Not to say its broken, but like i said above, a bunch little things start to eat away at the game, ESPECIALLY if you are trophy hunting. The story itself is one of those "safe and conservative" creative stories. We have...... A mostly silent harmless character whom you specifically are here to help. A storybook esque narrative that asks for creativity. A refined British-sounding narrator whose lines alternate between being whimsical and quirky. You can pretty much guess how it all plays out. And you might say, "Oh red, its about the art, not the story!" Well yea, but here's where the rest of the bad stuff comes in. The games design choices are either amateurish, or intentionally obnoxious. Whenever you start a level, you are forced the watch long drawn out cut scenes. You are given the option to skip later on, but you are only allowed to skip a select few. It may as well not even be in here, which means you are watching this story play out whether you want to or not. The camera is also a pain. It alternatives between stopping you dead in your tracks (right after you seem to g=be gaining momentum) or panning away from the character, which means if you are a perilous situation, can spell death. Speaking of death, this game loves to clip you to death. Very few platforms you create to use are NOT capable of one hit squishing you, and when you least expect it, jumping to a lower platform make sink you to your death despite it taking maybe the equivalent of a double jump to get you there. Combat is the worst offender for me. Not just because its some of the most useless tedious and unfun I've played yet, but for a game like this, its arguably uneeded. Hit detection is awkward, your limited moves (many of which can be locked at any certain chapter) are uninteresting, enemies are obnoxiously placed and programmed, many times, its REQUIRED to proceed. Death checkpoints are generous, but manual checkpoints can send you back half a level. Many areas are closed back forever. This all comes to a head when trophy hunting. The above problems would make even the easiest of these tedious enough, but then we hit THAT ONE TROPHY. Without spoiling, its on that explain you to escort someone reach certain point IN ONE GO WITHOUT DYING OR LOSING THAT PERSON. Which means you have to endure everything I listed above numerous times for the slightest of screw ups, and that will drain you, I assure. Again, I love the creativity, and I love the character Atoi, and I WANTED to love this game. I just wished the devs spent less time being whimsical and more time polishing.

Ugh! Thank god this game is very replayable for myself haha. I only played it like 12 or 13 times (Including the PS3 version).

Popular Post Fire
#135 - Deponia Deponia Unlocked! Complete every trophy of the game. Pretty fun point-and-click game and platinum can be achieved in 2-3 hrs. But there are couple of lol's and interesting dialogs, so i don't really recommend skipping and rushing trough game. #136 - Killing Floor 2 Platinum Obtain all other trophies, and be an all around Zed slaying machine This game reminds me a lot on COD Ghosts Extinction mode and honestly it's only fun if you play it with friends. Grind towards the level 25 was really boring since i already got all other trophies earlier, even before lvl 20. Platinum is not hard at all, cause there's a glitch which you can use on highest difficulty and during solo boost.
Popular Post FLCLcrim2
#73 - The Walking Dead: A New Frontier A New Frontier Completed The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10 (you have to put in enough effort to play it) Was looking forward to this since the end of the second season. Just like most the other TellTale games just play it and it is yours. Season pass was on sale so there was no way to pass this up. Still not as good as the first season but I dont think any of them are going to be. This one does have the distinction of having some choices being made that I am unsure of and almost wanting to reply the game if not the select episodes to see if there is an outcome I would prefer more. However seeing how Clementine has grown, and these new characters was great. Now to wait for season 4.

Popular Post Meacham
Platinum #204 - Assassin's Creed II (PS4) | Enjoyment: 10/10 | Difficulty: 2/10 | 19/6/17 | Recommendable | I'm sure a majority of people would of played the "original" back on the PS3. Not much is different this time around apart from better graphics, everything is a lot more colourful and the sequence 12 & 13 DLC packs are integrated into the main game. Honestly, I love this game a lot and have lost count of how many times I've platinumed it on the PS3 on all the other accounts I used to have. The last time I played this game was in 2014 and you can imagine how far games have progressed since then. I can honestly say I did not miss the parkour/free-running in this game. It just feels so slow and broken sometimes, like a ledge right above you, Ezio wouldn't catch it and it became a little bit tedious. Remember when everyone hated collecting feathers? I'm sure a lot of people still do but compare that to collectibles in games now it's nothing and didn't feel like a chore. Then again, I took a different approach then I guess a lot of people do. They would of left it right until the end getting a map and then it becoming a drag to them but I took it section by section after every chapter. Doing it that way, you collect 9 feathers a chapter and it's so much more bearable than doing it the old way. Them eyes as well from some of the characters were absolutely hilarious. I've always found it amazing how Ezio's sister can sit in that chair for almost 23 years in the same dress. Absolute madness and his mother saying a prayer for that long to. Commitment from this family is impeccable. Ezio is still the absolute flagstone of this series. No character has come close to this guy. There are a few that are liked but none that match him. I have high hopes for the new assassin, I heard he's getting a trilogy so let's hope he's as much fun as Ezio is. Doubt it though but one can hope. Thing is with this game is it kicked off Assassin's Creed into what we know now but it's success is also the biggest pain as there are soo many things going on in the universe now it's sometimes hard to keep track. I think they let it go to their heads a little bit. Well, it's time to move onto Brotherhood. I would add a platinum image but honestly. It's just a blank screen because it was the credits + I was getting a ubisoft reward as well so it didn't take a photo probably so no one can see my account.
