Popular Post mega-tallica
Split/Second Enjoyment: 4/5 - One of the best PS3 arcade racers and I wish this style of arcade racers would make a comeback. There's nothing really to it, it's just a fun game to play. Difficulty: 3/5 - Getting 1st place in all events with definitely push you. Even being fairly skilled at racing games, there's still a bit of luck involved with the race events. The time trials that most people find the hardest were easy compared to some races IMO. Wasn't even going to go for platinum because of the online trophies but luckily the servers are still up and luckily again, there's still groups of people out there that will help you boost it and I was fortunate enough to get in one and finally get the platinum for this game after almost 10 years. Also is still an ultra rare platinum (just barely) which puts me at a whopping 5 ultra rare platinum's total. Popular Post Valzentia
#150 - One Piece Odyssey Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 8.5/10 The newest One Piece game, and its an open world turn-based RPG. It sounds ridiculous on paper, but it makes it work because One Piece IS ridiculous (in a good way!). There's actually five open worlds to explore, all locations from the actual manga/anime, and there's a LOT to do (it took 62 hours to finish for me). The most annoying part is the Yaya Cubes, because there's no counter to keep track of which ones you have, while the most difficult part are the challenge bosses although you can cheese those.
Popular Post disaster500
#64 Devil May Cry 5 - 3.10% Personal Difficulty - 9/10 Time to Plat - 87 hours I'm very proud of this one. While not my hardest platinum (maybe top 5), I have so little experience with the hack'n'slash genre, it made this very challenging for me. So what makes this so hard? You need all S ranks on 5 different difficulties, for a total of 105 S ranks. This includes Dante Must Die (basically Very Hard) and Hell and Hell (Hard difficulty, but you die in one hit). Some missions have cheese strats, but for a lot of them you either need to go through the level hitless, or consistently get S-SSS rank fights to get enough style points. The game is amazing though. You have 4 characters, each with their completely own moves and fighting style. Even after 8 playthroughs I never got tired of it, because the game's combat is easy to pick up but it's so infinitely complex that I was always finding out new things and improving. There's probably several hundred hours more to go for true mastery, go watch some DMC5 combos on YouTube, it's insane how high the skill ceiling is in this game. It was frustrating at times though. On DMD some enemies have basically infinite HP (cough Proto Angelo) and delete half of yours in one hit. Judeccas and Furies are also really annoying. Furies in particular feel so impossibly hard to counter that I learnt a death combo as Dante just to instakill them when they spawn. I highly recommend the game though. The combat is satisfying and has infinite depth, the cutscenes don't take themselves seriously and can be genuinely very funny, the music is really damn good (especially the S rank combat themes). Everything in this game is just made to look cool. Platinum probably isn't for everyone, but don't let that stop you from trying this. After all, it's free on PS Plus Extra. Next I'll probably be playing Horizon Forbidden West when that becomes free in a few days. Edited February 19, 2023 by disaster500
Popular Post Hinderk
Platinum #26 Tales of Arise(PS5) - Arisen - + The combat is great + Thought the game looked beautiful + I liked most of the cast + Music was great + Appreciate the most of the cast are adults + Even thought I had issues with the second half, I liked the ending - Thought the second half of the game was much weaker than the first - I thought much more could have been done with the themes and topics brought up in the story - Enemy variety was lacking - Thought a lot of the villains were one one dimensional Overall I enjoyed the game. My main issue with it was that is seemed like the writers were not prepared to properly deal with some of the themes in the the story. The game is about a slave uprising, it could have hit much harder than it did. Still really enjoyed the game though. This was my first Tales game and looking forward to trying others games in the series. Platinum #27 Immortals Fenyx Rising(PS5) - The End - + Combat was fun + The puzzles were mostly good and also like how there were multiple was to solve most puzzles + Map was fun to explore + I mostly liked the writing (I know a lot of people hated it) - Not much enemy variety - Game lets you get a bit too OP at the end I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. If you are looking for a fun BotW clone I would give it a shot. Platinum #28 League of Evil(VITA) - No more League of Evil - + Controls well - Not much gameplay variety. Fun little platformer. I played this game a bunch when I was younger on my phone, so it was cool going back to it to get the platinum. Popular Post whodeygamer
#44: Hogwarts Legacy As somebody who’s been a Harry Potter fan since I was a kid, this has been my 2nd most anticipated game of the last few years only behind The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The thought of being able to fully explore Hogwarts and the surrounding areas in an open world while not being based on the books/movies is something I’ve been dreaming of for a long time, and now that dream is a reality! With that being said, the fact that this game was being made by Avalanche Studio, a developer who’s biggest claim to fame before this game came out being… Disney Infinity… admittedly made me a bit nervous, but thankfully this game ended up being well worth the wait. Hogwarts Legacy’s biggest strength and the thing that Avalanche is most deserving of being praised for is the fact they were able to properly bring Hogwarts and the surrounding areas to life in a way that has never been done before. Whether it’s exploring Hogwarts itself, going through the various shops in the wizarding village of Hogsmeade, or traveling to more unfamiliar areas, Avalanche succeeded in their goal of bringing the wizarding world to life in a way that’s not been done before. Hogwarts Legacy also has a good cast of characters and a solid soundtrack, but unfortunately lacks in enemy variety and doesn’t have Quidditch while having a really dumb excuse in the game for why it’s been cancelled for the year, but overall Hogwarts Legacy is an absolute must buy for Harry Potter fans, and I believe that even people unfamiliar with the Wizarding World will find enjoyment in this game if they decide to give it a chance. I’m very happy that I decided to make the platinum my 2000th trophy even though I had to wait until today’s update to get it due to the collector trophy being bugged. I would’ve gotten the platinum on Thursday if it hadn’t been for that. Edited February 19, 2023 by whodeygamer

Oh… I mean, it’s a great album, with some cool semi-interactive visuals attached as a music video concept for the album. I really liked the music and visuals to accompany, and thought it was super effective, and I do think the idea of “interactive music videos” is an interesting new avenue to be explored via game consoles… …but I’d hesitate to place it among my favourite “indie games” so to speak, as it’s very light on “gameplay”. If you dug the music though, that’s the main thing, as it’s great!

Popular Post Trancexistence
#36 - Virginia I enjoyed this surreal Twin Peaks style interactive crime thriller which has quite a unique approach to story telling in that there are no spoken words from any of the characters, and the game's story is conveyed through their gestures and facial expressions, along with subtle changes in the backing music. For those reasons I needed to pay close attention to what was happening, and I was appreciative of having to do a second playthrough for the platinum as it gave me an enhanced understanding of the story. Really good stuff I thought. It kept me guessing. Popular Post Viscera1900
#350 - Persona 3 Portable The Answer to Life "Earn all trophies." I wanted to collect trophies from Persona 3 for the longest time; I was absolutely ecstatic when they announced that Persona 3 Portable was coming to PS4 and other newer consoles. Although I'd preferred to replay Persona 3 FES instead of Persona 3 Portable, because Portable is missing the actual cutscenes/animations for story and social links. On plus side; Portable version has an option for you to play as female protagonist and you can also control other party members in battles. Since I haven't played P3 for awhile; I had a blast replaying this gem. On my journey to earn the platinum trophy for this game; I chose to play as female protagonist on my first playthrough, since I've only done it once before. Trophy wise the game is about just as hard as Persona 4 Golden's trophy list minus the infamous "Hardcore Risette Fan" trophy Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Completion time: 97 hours / 4 weeks, 11 hours (PSNP)
