Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#1701 Crysis 2 (PS4) (EU) This game was less like the tropical island Far Cry vibes of the first Crysis and felt more like Call of Duty in the big city. I had a fun time all the same though, the suit powers are fun to play with as they let you play the game how you wish, even cloaking past the entire game is a very viable strategy ?

Lance_87
#46 - Hotshot Racing (PS4) After finishing the previous game, which was a RPG, i decided to completely change genre and do some "retro racing", first with Formula Retro Racing (which is a easy 100%, but not so when it comes to in-game things) and then with this. As i hate most difficulty-related trophies, i was expecting the Extreme-difficulty GPs to be quite hard. I was wrong. All but one trophy that required boosting were done by myself with two controllers, or by luck by playing single races. The free DLC trophy wasn't difficult, either. Now i must choose another game to celebrate my 4000th trophy, which is really close

Collect all trophies 19.52% Rare My review I enjoyed all 3 of them I’m a huge fan also of the interactive movie games. The only bad part is it’s pretty tedious to platinum I lost count how many playthroughs I had to do in order to get them done. Overall time think had to put 85 hours for the 3 of them. Now I will play the last part soon witch is Devil in me hopefully it will be a good one. Edited February 13, 2023 by NurseTatiana

Popular Post Jiano_Vera
#144 WipEout Omega Collection 14 years later and I earned my first racing platinum! I've never been into racing games, and the last one I played was F-Zero GX on the GameCube and only because Captain Falcon was in it ?. I remember how insanely difficult it was back then and it put me off to the genre in general. Going into 2022, one of my resolutions was to platinum a racing game because I wanted to play more genres i don't normally go for. WipEout Omega Collection was the perfect candidate since it was challenging, free since it was on PS Plus, and reminiscent of F-Zero a long long time ago. I earned the online trophies since they were easy enough to boost... and then I spent the rest of 2022 going for other games. 2023 would be the year I would follow through on last year's resolutions! What a ride it's been (no pun intended). I very much enjoyed what this game had to offer and I instantly fell in love with the soundtrack - Shake It is a banger. Since this was my first foray in the genre in years, I struggled a lot in the beginning from getting used to high speeds and learning the tracks and vehicles. But once things started to click - ohh man! I began to understand why people like racing games. The feeling of getting first in a race is unmatched - especially in some of the races in the HD campaign. Regarding some of the challenges in WOC, I found them to be difficult but I never felt it was impossible: -Elite Pass 2048 campaign: Zone mode was the biggest hurdle for the 2048 campaign, but you'll succeed with enough practice on the tracks and increasing speeds. The races felt fair and the AI never felt like a factor because of their lack of weapon use. I could get first in a few attempts. -Beat Zico 2048: I found Downtown to be a more technically demanding track than Anulpha Pass but the time required is fairly lenient. I spent around 4 hours practicing this track when I finally got it. -Elite Campaign Legend: I thought this was the most difficult trophy in the game because the AI in the HD campaign was straight brutal! Getting hit with their weapons felt like a much more common occurrence than the 2048 campaign. The rubberbanding was also more prevalent in HD than 2048. Getting first place in Chenghou Project, Sebenco Climb, and Sol 2 for me was having the right power up at the right time. For example, I recall shooting a missile seconds before the finish line of C. Project to take first and speed boosting to overpass the track and the other racers at the end of Sebenco. Where 2048, solid driving was enough to win a race, in HD/Fury, solid driving and aggressively using your powerups/weapons were the keys to success. -Beat Zico HD (beat 30.82): Anulpha Pass is a fairly simple track but don't let that fool you. The key to conquering Zico HD is precise racing lines and consistently hitting the barrel roll towards the end. I had multiple runs that ended within the 30.84-30.9 range, and those hurt the most - to miss it by 0.02 seconds is disheartening, persist and you'll eventually succeed! Overall, I am more open to trying more racing games in the future - all thanks to WipEout! Thank you for reading my reflection of this game and I'll catch you in the forums! Clavietka
#182: Typoman Revisited Lovely game, very clever, but the trophy for finishing the antonymizer minigame (163 words) is such a drag, and a big stain on this game's enjoyment for me
Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2867 Garfield: Lasagna Party (PS5) It's baffling how many games and movies Garfield got in his career, and after a terrible cart racer we get a Mario Party clone, and a terrible one at that. The four characters you see in the platinum picture are what you get: Garfield, Odie, Arlene and Nermal, all in their standard appearance with no customizations. You can play against the AI or with up to three friends in local play - but every game is with all four characters. In total there's 32 mini-games, most of them ripped off right from Nintendo's hit, but without the love and care. It's a budget game I got with a 50% discount, and at best it offers some fun for one or two hours on a rainy day for kids, everyone else plays a World Tour with all mini-games and has seen everything the game has to offer.
Popular Post greenzsaber
Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society Great game. 100% recommended if you're a fan of dungeon crawlers/RPGs and want something unique, cause this game definitely delivers on that front. Also has a more involved story compared to other games in the genre, and an elaborate set of dungeons with unique methods for getting around. Unlike other games in the genre which usually required farming a certain number of kills or hunting down specific items for trophies, this platinum is pretty straightforward since you just need to get the true ending which amounts to just clearing every dungeon.
Popular Post Viper
#302 X-Men: Destiny Homo Superior Valentine's Day Plat! This is one of those games I avoided back in the PS3 days because people kept saying how bad it was, but fast forward to a day of being bored and coming across a cheap copy of this...I ended up buying it anyways. And...yeah, people were right. Kind of cool to have this though...apparently the devs had to destroy all the new and reclaimed copies of this...so it's one of those rare games now you're probably only going to find a used copy of, but it's not as over priced as say, some of the PS3 Spider-Man games are (still trying to find Web of Shadows for a decent price). It's not a completely horrible game...it's mostly a cool idea wrapped in half assed execution. You play as one of three young characters who are at a Rally that gets attacked and they discover they're mutant powers (which you also get to choose from), and the game is mostly you making choices to side with either Cyclops and the X-Men or Magneto and the Brotherhood. Since you need to do 2 playthroughs anyways, you can see both sides of dialogue. Unfortunately that's all it is...just different dialogue, the game is pretty much the same either way. I'm assuming the grand idea here was this was going to be a franchise, so depending on who you chose to side with in the end, would have implications in a sequel that never came, because otherwise...the X-Men and Brotherhood were basically teaming up the whole game and had a common goal in mind, so you end up at the same place one way or the other. Choose one side or the other doesn't even change Grant much as a character. I feel like this is a problem with choice based games even today...you want us to have these choices, but they don't really do anything. I realize for them to REALLY matter, devs would have to basically make 2 games in 1, but for once I'd actually like to see a game where you can choose to be Good or Evil (or some variant for that) and the game ACTUALLY changes completely, accordingly. Just once. The gameplay is straight forward, but extremely lacking. It's a lot like Marvel Ultimate Alliance in a way where you're just bashing hoards of enemies (without the cool 4 man team). However this games targeting system is pure garbage...you can hold L2 to "lock on" but it barely works and you'll find yourself just punching dead air half the time. The voice acting from most of the actual X-Men characters is on point, it's a lot of the same actors that voiced them in the animated series and a bunch of games. But there's some acting here that leaves a lot to be desired. I chose Grant...the big football star, and went with the Obsidian powers, which made him a powerhouse. Seemed to fit. The game is also super easy, even on X-treme difficulty I only had minor trouble at the very end, and even then I just completely cheesed the final boss with my fully upgraded Ultra Power, which turned Grant into a giant Obsidian Golem. But he did so much damage with each attack that Bastion couldn't even teleport or really activate his next attack before his next stage started and I just did the same thing each stage...fully upgraded the power lasted for 45 seconds and I beat him in about 20. Overall, nothing to write home about. There's another X-Men game out there I wish I could get my hands on though, X-Men Arcade. It was digital only, so it was delisted from the PS3 PS Store years ago when Activision lost the Marvel license to so many games. Popular Post PotrikBerger
Inscryption (PS5) Anticipation - 3/5 Didnt know a thing about this game until I saw an interview with Shuhei Yoshida in which he put Inscryption as the best game he played in 2022. Who’s Shuhei Yoshida some may ask? Well truth is I don’t really know, but from what I could make out he has been involved with making some top games over many, many years so I kind of thought he may be worth listening to. Also, as soon as he said it revolves around card / deck building mechanics I was instantly sold. Enjoyment - 4/5 What a game! It’s going to be a bit tricky to write much of the details around why I enjoyed this so much as almost anything I say could be a spoiler. And this is one game you really don’t want to know too much about before you start, and I don’t want to be the reason why anyone who is interested in playing this ends up knowing too much before they go in. What I will say is it is one of the most original and unique games I’ve played in ages. It just keeps surprising you and those first few hours are truly glorious. Anyone with an even slightly piqued interest in this, I urge you to play it. Urge you I say. Retrospect - 3/5 This would have scored higher in this section, but I did find this is one of those games where NEEDING to have the platinum kind of sours the overall experience. Trophies you get in the kind of post-game play section, with a rougelike set-up, require multiple playthroughs of the same section of the game, but applying various handicaps for each run. Kind of like the Hades mechanic. At this point you’ve completed the main game, you know the mechanics and format like the back of your hand, and without NEEDING to get the platinum this is probably where you would stop playing after having a go at a few of the challenges. Because, truth be told, they aren’t really all that challenging at all, but it is very repetitive very quickly and I grew tired of replaying the same post-game section of this title over and over. I really don’t think the game needed this part. I dragged my feet in getting this plat. Ultimately though, this is an incredible game. The twists and turns, the surprises and the originality will make you smile from ear to ear as you play through the main game. How unique this title is is worth the entry fee alone. I highly recommend this game. Go try it, see for yourself.
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
205: Manifold Garden (29.09%) Yes, that... uh, blob is the platinum image. It's on brand for the game, I guess. Manifold Garden is an impossible space based puzzle game. The main gimmick of the game is that the game worlds are all mind bendingly impossible - doorways that appear to be dead ends when approached from the back, but from the front lead to entire new areas, and infinitely cascading versions of the same level (including you). Besides this, you can also switch gravity by walking up to a wall and shifting onto it, causing the world to reorient itself so that that wall is now your floor. With these fantastical elements combined, you are now ready to engage in a few hours of... block and water puzzles, which are surprisingly mundane for the subject matter. Still, it's a charming, technically impressive game, and the puzzles are challenging without being completely obtuse. Overall I think I prefer Superliminal as an 'impossible puzzle game', though Manifold Garden is definitely more impressive since Superliminal relied primarily on optical illusions (though it did have the same portal doors.)

Popular Post mega-tallica
Doom (2016) Enjoyment: 4/5 - Decided to knock this one out while looking for boosting partners to finish off Eternal. Although I prefer Eternal, this one is still a lot of fun to play too. Got most of the trophies already way back in 2016, just had to cleanup multiplayer stuff. Easy 2 hour cleanup and platinum. Difficulty: 2/5 - Hardest thing was getting used to not having the dash again. In this game it's crouch instead and I kept hitting it by accident/on purpose thinking it was dash like in Eternal. Overall, it's certainly easier than Eternal is although this game is still filled with bugs mainly with the challenges not properly registering or showing as incomplete when you in fact have completed them. Even the infamously difficult "A Toe into Madness" trophy seemed like a cakewalk compared to normal difficulty on Eternal, especially Eternal's DLC which is utter madness even on lower difficulties.
