Popular Post disaster500
#75 inFAMOUS: First Light - 22.45% Personal Difficulty - 3/10 I played on Normal, maybe this could go down to 2/10 on Easy. Time Played - 6 hours I said I'd finally stop putting off DOOM Eternal's multiplayer trophies and have that be platinum 75. I've made good progress on the multiplayer trophies, but the problem is I'm from the UK and I'm boosting with two Americans, so time zones limit when we can play. Instead of waiting around doing nothing, I finished this instead. DOOM Eternal will be done soon though, just probably platinum 76 or 77 instead of 75. inFAMOUS: First Light is a standalone DLC kinda game set a few years before the events of inFAMOUS: Second Son. You play as Fetch, one of Delsin's allies in Second Son. Now, being a standalone DLC, obviously it's far shorter than Second Son, taking me just under 6 and a half hours (but one of the trophy guides say 20 hours for some reason?). Only the top half of Seattle is accessible, and there's far less stuff to do on the map. The story missions are also much more limited than in Second Son, mostly having you do basic actions a few times, like sniping enemies from rooftops or protecting vehicles. While I think Second Son is the better game, First Light shines in combat. Neon was my overall favourite power for Delsin in Second Son, and Fetch just has better versions of Delsin's Neon abilities, plus new ones. Her Stasis Blast is way better than Delsin's Stasis Bubble, Melee Finishers are a cool addition, Fetch has 2 air dashes while Delsin doesn't when using Neon etc. The game takes full advantage of the fun combat by having arenas to fight constant waves of enemies in. These can get quite chaotic, later waves spawn hordes of enemies all over the arena, it's fun seeing how long you can last and many points you can get. Trophy list is incredibly simple. You basically have to complete the main story, 100% the map and complete all of the challenges. The challenges are usually combat-related, kill X amount of enemies in certain ways, survive Y waves in the arenas etc. The last one I needed was to overload 25 turrets, which isn't hard, but turrets only spawn in one arena, and not that often. Overall a fun, quick, easy platinum. Maybe I'll play the first 2 inFAMOUS games if I ever upgrade from Extra to Premium (I'm pretty sure they're on Premium). As I said earlier, DOOM Eternal might be my next plat, but that depends on when we find a good time to boost. In the mean time, I think Dying Light will be my next game to play.
Popular Post XxKrmsonShadowxX
Platinum #32 Dredge (PS5) Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 10-15 hours This was a great Indie game that was a much needed change of pace. It was a pretty relaxed playthrough without much difficulty, and I really enjoyed the theme and execution of turning a fishing game into an intriguing story. The Lovecraftian-esque inspiration and styling fit very well in this game. I definitely went for trophies during my playthrough, but by no means did a speed-run of the game. It took me 12 hours to complete. Next platinum (thanks to PS Plus Extra): Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

Popular Post Swotam
#203 - Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) I AM the Batman! 6.5% Rare I was hesitant to post this one because end-of-day I didn't truly earn all of it by myself. I've had the game on my profile for close to 8 years now, and despite spending hours and hours on and off during that time trying to get Brutality 101, both in AR challenges and during the one-on-one fight with you-know-who at the end of the game, I just couldn't get it done, no matter how many times I tried it. Maybe my brain isn't wired the right way to remember all those button presses, or maybe I'm just getting old. Regardless, I returned to the game recently to clean up the various DLC trophies that are within my abilities and was once again reminded of that one trophy standing between me and the Platinum, so after beating up enemies for several more hours of my life in one last attempt, I finally decided to get a younger and more capable friend to help me unlock it, which he was kind enough to do. So there is it, after 7 years and 11 months I have a Platinum which I earned 98% on my own and 2% through the kindness of others. Not quite as satisfying as doing it myself for sure, but unlike other games where I don't have Platinum because of some trophy, this one bugged me a lot more than it should have. Maybe it's because I really liked the Rocksteady Batman games, or maybe because somewhere inside I knew I should be able to do it and was frustrated that I couldn't get it done due to some personal limitation that I couldn't get around. Anyway, it's done and while it doesn't make me feel as good as it would otherwise, at least it won't bug me anymore. As far as the game goes, like Arkham Asylum and Arkham City before it, Arkham Knight is a solid entry in the Batman trilogy from Rocksteady. If you haven't played these games but have always wanted to play as Batman then you will be doing yourself a favour by experiencing them. They're probably the best super-hero games I've ever played. Kevin Conroy's Batman and Mark Hamill's Joker (yeah, Luke Skywalker does Joker's voice although you would never know) are incredibly memorable things. The conclusion of the story of Batman and Joker, of how they're essentially two sides of the same coin, a villain in need of a hero, and a hero in need of a villain, is incredibly well done and acted. The inclusion of other Batman heroes and villains in the trilogy, especially Scarecrow being a truly creepy dude in this game, is completely awesome for any Batman fan, and the game does them all justice. Combat is fluid and smooth, but substantial and meaty at the same time. You can button-mash your way through the game if that's how you roll, or go all out and become the Bat while using your entire arsenal of moves and gadgets to take down hordes of bad guys in what can only be described as incredibly satisfying. Traversal is well done, with your ability to glide around the city using your cape and Batclaw for boosting, or driving the Batmobile around like a madman, both being valid and enjoyable. The story is good, with some very solid parts, but you will benefit from having played the first two games before experiencing this one if you really want to understand what's going on and why. So yeah, there's that. Go be the Batman if you haven't done so yet. If you have PS+ Extra I'm pretty sure all the games are in the game library at the moment, and you won't regret going through them while the opportunity exists.

Popular Post StraightVege
The Original Gangster #336 - Mafia: Definitive Edition Speaking as someone who long ago lost interest in "crime simulators," and never particularly enjoyed Mob flicks, Mafia is obviously not the sort of thing which would normally pique my curiosity. I detest open world busywork, and considering my own family's quite checkered past on the Italian side, I suppose the subject just hits too close to home. Generally, I find it rather difficult to sympathize with characters who behave villainously nowadays, making it tough to enjoy this type of media. However, I recalled reading somewhere that this one is all killer, no filler, delivering an excellent story with stellar voice performances, thus the glowing reviews—alongside my desire to extract some value from my unsatisfactory PlayStation Plus subscription—inspired me to give it a shot regardless. Having now finished it several days ago, I'd say that these claims at least partially hold up, and I didn't regret my time with it overall. Keep in mind, I've never even viewed gameplay of the original version, let alone played it, so I judged the game on its own merits. Told via flashbacks in noir fashion as the protagonist recounts his unbelievable escapades to a hardboiled detective over lunch, the narrative is fairly ordinary genre stuff, but well composed and paced. Beginning in the early 1930s, during the tail end of the Prohibition, you step into the shoes of hardworking Sicilian immigrant, Tommy Angelo. After another long day of picking up fares as a cabbie in Illinois, Tommy has an unfortunate encounter with a couple of gangsters, who force him to be their getaway driver at gunpoint. Of course, the rival Mafia faction they eluded isn't thrilled about this, and end up trying to murder him days later, so he desperately turns to the same mobsters for both protection and revenge. Quickly accepted into the Salieri family, Tom soon realizes he can live a far more luxurious life as their wheelman. He's in too deep before he knows it, carrying out gruesome hits, bombings, and battling the police. While he's clearly morally conflicted about this nasty business, it's not a life one can easily step away from, and the prospect of again struggling as a Great Depression cab driver isn't exactly appealing after being a made man. Ignoring the grandiose action scenes, Mafia thankfully doesn't glorify the ugliness of organized crime, and succeeds at showing how poverty and the misguided war on drugs only dump fuel on the fire. Most of the acting is indeed top notch, although a few characters sound like comical stereotypes, or just plain bored with reading their lines. Dameon Clarke (Handsome Jack) does his best Irish accent as Norman, the detective Tommy informs to, which I found kinda amusing. It's true that the campaign is undiluted, consisting of one expertly crafted mission after another, and even allowing you to skip most of the boring driving segments, throwing you directly into dramatic scenes, white-knuckle car chases, and tense shootouts. On the other hand, it's necessary to spend a number of hours in the game's "Free Ride" sandbox mode, scouring the city for hundreds of useless collectibles if you want the platinum. A shame they couldn't resist doing this, because the game was already just fine without the filler content. "Please, explore every inch of our beautiful world! LOOK AT IT!" Ah, well; they certainly did create a convincing 1930s urban sprawl here, bursting with detail. Everything from the endless billboards and advertisements plastered around, to the retro cars and storefronts, and suitably surly citizenry make the fictional Lost Heaven feel like a living, breathing place. The building interiors look every bit as authentic, thus I couldn't stop gawking at the restaurants, pawn shops, and garages, reminiscent of real places I've visited. Mafia is not only visually stunning, but the high quality sound design does its part in immersing you into the experience, as well. Park your car after a long drive, and you'll hear the pinging of cooling metal under the hood; tread near a backyard fence, and the barking of dogs protecting their territory might startle you; walk down an apartment hallway, and the shouting of heated arguments or some hanky-panky going on emanates from behind the closed doors. Then, there's the archaic radio advertisements pushing healthy cigarette brands and products to keep the modern woman slim, which sound pulled right out of that era. For a remake of a now 20-year-old game, Mafia is technically impressive on many levels. Where the game does reveal its dated origins somewhat are the mechanics: the cover system and aiming controls feel clunky in gunfights (Uncharted, this ain't), engaging in fisticuffs is very simplistic and a bit awkward, while the vehicles aren't the most responsive to drive in gaming history (they're old, to be fair). Polish is definitely lacking in a few areas, with objectives that can fail for no discernible reason, cars flipping over at the slightest provocation, and it's actually possible for Tommy to suddenly fall through the map. Fortunately, Mafia isn't particularly challenging, even on Classic difficulty, featuring generous checkpoints and strong aim assist, therefore these issues aren't a major hindrance. 19 hours later, I was done, with minimal fuss. All in all, it was a perfectly fine crime drama, but this stuff still isn't quite my cup of tea. I have no doubt the many fans of GTA-style titles out there will find Mafia to be a masterpiece, though, and the tremendous passion and work poured into making it was extremely evident from start to finish. Now that, I gotta respect, paisano. I'll be glad when you're dead, you rascal you. Edited June 6, 2023 by StraightVege
Popular Post Valzentia
#173 - Men In Black: Alien Crisis Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 6/10 I picked this game up after an unplanned binge of the Men In Black trilogy while on a trip to Georgia. It's a rail shooter akin to Time Crisis, but with a Men In Black skin over it, and honestly? It's not bad if you like the movies. Nothing here is innovative or anything and there's a startling lack of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but other than that and a couple of nitpicky things its honestly not a bad game if you like the franchise.
Popular Post No longer here
#199 - Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (PS Vita) Enjoyment/Rating: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 25 hours PSNP Rarity: 5.83% PSN Rarity: 3.5% Going through my backlog my friend told me I should definitely go back to this game, it didn't click with me at first, but that was back when I was less open-minded about indies and games in general. And throughout the journey to platinum, it was way well worth it. The game has great retro visuals and music as it fits the theme of the game in general. The hub areas are great and look very eyecandy, you can tell the world of Shovel Knight is alive and flourishing. While the combat is pretty much pressing a button and using down-stick with the shovel, it was still pretty fun and consistent with the levels. The relics you use were good as well for some of them, as it is good for strategies against enemies or even platforming levels. I quite liked the bosses in the game as they were challenging but very fair imo. The levels were imo the best part of the game as they were nicely designed and slowly brought the player to a better state of the game! The experience was so enjoyable as I got deeper into the game and i couldn't put it down at that point. Some issues I had with the game imo is the other characters as I couldn't get into them because of their lack of movement/actions for some of them. Even in Shovel knight by itself, I had trouble or I couldn't get into how slow the game can be. It lessened the pace sometimes but overall it didn't bother me much. With some relics/abilities, I realized I didn't really use them other than the trophies itself. I will admit some stages were a drag, and some difficulties curves made me like "wtf man". Good thing I managed through, because no one should skip this game anyway. The trophies were fun imo, made you replay the main story in different ways/styles and rewarded you for it. Some of the misc. trophies were interesting and made it fun going for it! I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of indie/retro-like games. Even in general, the game was popular in 2015 and I can understand why, the game is still really good now and I can't recommend it enough! Plat #200 hopefully super meat boy!!

Popular Post Biscoito18
#180 - Thymesia Thymesia Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Rarity: 31.03% (PSNP) / 3.6% (PSN) A small "souls like" action RPG with a great parry system and some of the ugliest scenery I've ever seen. It's not as easy as some guides make it out to be. The first boss took me about twenty tries and the trophy "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!" to empty the first health bar of the tutorial boss requires that you have really learned the game mechanics and a lot of patience. Overall, it's still a lot easier than the more famous games in the genre it tries to copy, but it's still challenging. #181 - Lake Delivery Status: Complete Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Rarity: 57.69% (PSNP) / 7.6% (PSN) "Lake" is what I imagine when I hear that Netflix is going to start making games. It's like one of their thousands of romantic comedies that my mom loves to "watch" while she's also on her cell phone. The idea is good and relaxing but it gets repetitive fast. I wish the plot had more and better choices as well. #182 - The Chant From Gloom, to Glory! Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Rarity: 18.49% (PSNP) / 2.2% (PSN) "The Chant" is like a classic survival horror from the PS2 era. I love these games and they could release dozens of these a year that I would play them all. The mechanics, characters and creatures are typical of the genre but themed accordingly. The mix of folk horror and cosmic horror works well and makes for some grotesque and striking moments like the excellent final boss design. The "magister" (hard) difficulty can be a little unbalanced at certain points, especially in the sequence of battles that go from the end of chapter 5 to the end of the game and this can be a little frustrating if you arrive unprepared for any of these battles since the autosave will lock you exactly at the beginning of them. Overall, the only thing I missed was some less guided puzzles and the genre's famous death scenes. A solid 8/10.

Popular Post CaptainMcStuffin
#103 - Devil May Cry 3 (PS4) After playing DMC3, I can definitely see why people held it in high regard even to this day, even being interchanged with DMC5 on all time ranks. In spite of playing the games backwards, this one was pretty easy to get into, as it laid the foundation for its successors. The style meter along with the number of devil arms, guns and styles encouraged me to experiment with my playstyle tremendously, unlike most games where I stick solely to one playstyle. Furthermore, I appreciated the effort put into the unlockables, particularly the costumes. Unlike DMC5 which was essentially a palette swap, it felt like more thought and love for the series was put into it. Personally, I had a lot of fun, though had a few minor nitpicks. A few of the enemies felt archaic such as the Enigma, Soul Eater(These were especially hell when dealing with other enemies in the room because of the lock on), and sometimes the Hell Vanguard. There were also moments where the camera placement messed me up. However most of the fights, especially the ones revolving around Vergil more than makes the aforementioned complaints a nitpick. Even after getting the platinum, I can't help but keep replaying it for SS ranks. Though, I still have 5 at the top for me with 3 following closely behind. That being said, I'm unsure if I'll do DMC2 as I've heard nothing good about that game. P.S. I never saw an easy mode is now selectable screen and never will!
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
ASIA #457: KINGDOM HEARTS III Complete Master Barring the extreme actual yearly stop and starting I was doing (bad mental state), I'm surprised how easy this ended up being when I actually sat down to do it. My opinions are the same as they were in 2018; I really did like it, and it definitely ranks in my top 3 KH games. Alot of the stuff people had problems with (floaty gameplay, unsatisfying story resolutions) I DO get on oen hand; but on the other, Both of those things I've come to expect from the series at this point. I'm glad this ended as conclusively as it did, though of course they couldn't leave well enough alone for the ending. Now to finally get around to Melody of Memories. Heck, maybe I will complete the whole set and revisit the PS3 versions of CoM and BBS.
Popular Post PotrikBerger
Tchia (PS5) Anticipation - 3/5 Id heard about the game, it’s concept and how it was focused on inspiration by New Caledonia and was definitely interested enough to pick this up. When I heard it would be included as part of the ps subscription package it all but garunteed that I’d play it. Enjoyment - 2/5 Set on a beautiful archipelago the world is bought to life through a vibrant art style that provides a truly pretty place to explore and discover. Soul Jumping allows Tchia to possess animals and small objects which you do primarily to traverse the land and clear bases. The wayfinding system tries for a little originality too, aiming to point in a vague direction rather than glaring waymarkers. However you can still place your own marker and aim for it on the mini map but it does go a little way to encouraging you to engage with the world and it’s landmarks a bit more. However, pretty soon into your game you realise you are falling into far too familiar open world rhythms and very soon again after that it’s obvious this suffers just as much as other similar games, if not more, with the open world genre fatigue. Collectible hunting and base clearing are the only real areas of focus for the entire game. Base clearing kind of starts as an interesting side activity but ends up dominating the final acts and it just felt like there was a ridiculous amount of time spent grabbing combustible rocks and setting fire to things. Add into this the absolute overkill of the usual, pointless collectible crap (treasure maps are especially tedious with far far too many of them) that so often falls afoul of these open world games and the dazzling setting and exotic story fall and fade quickly into the background to leave you feeling like you’ve done everything this game has to offer 1000s of times before and in more interesting ways. I found boredom hit very quickly in this game. Fetching and collecting on repeat. Retrospect - 1/5 Its easy to feel the love for the real world inspiration from the devs whilst roaming the world but that doesn’t distract from irritations that begin to rise whilst playing. Take Tchia’s most interesting idea, the soul jump, which rarely ever gets used for anything beyond moving from point A to point B. You are hardly ever required to utilise it for any problem solving mechanics, rather you are just increasingly asked to burn the same bad guys over and over again. There are two rhythm games very sparingly sprinkled into the gameplay, and whilst they are interesting in themselves there is very little of it across the game. It’s disappointing that a world that looks and feels this great falls into the all familiar trappings of the open world genre which essentially make this a very dull platinum to go for. Looks fantastic but will send you to sleep fairly sharpish.

Local man is intensely obsessed with a series of video games! More news at 11! Yeah, you know you're dedicated when every single milestone from the past two years is dedicated to one single franchise - for which I am conveniently counting Judgment, as it shares the same universe as the Yakuza titles. Kiwami 2 then, not just the latest but also the final numbered entry (FOR NOW) in the series I still needed a Plat for. I own the original for PS2 and the Japanese-only PS3 HD Collection, but neither show up on my profile for fairly obvious reasons (PS2 has no Trophies and I don't want to torture myself Platting a game in a language I do not speak, respectively). Which means that my series completion now looks like..... You might want to click and zoom in on the above (Judgment is missing but just trust me bro, I have that Plat too). But yeah, it has been just over thirteen years since starting with Yakuza 3 and now we've got green ticks everywhere! And the second-best part of it all is that I still get to Plat Ishin twice, and 3/4/5/LAD once each (plus another Judgment Plat and two Lost Judgment Plats). The single-best part? I'm looking forward to it, even after unlocking ten of these bad boys already >:^) First thing I'm doing when I get to real-life Dōtonbori is visiting Kani Dōraku and eating a few species of crab to extinction The original Yakuza 2 was released in 2006 in Japan and 2008 in the West, and was hailed as a massive improvement over the first game in the series - so much so, that it was widely regarded as the best in the series until at least Yakuza 5, with Yakuza 0 arguably putting the discussion to bed. Besides offering a crime thriller story co-penned by Hase Seishū, a Japanese novelist involved with the original game's story as well but conspicuously absent from all releases post-2, Yakuza 2 bolstered the game's original district with an entirely new second district called Sotenbori, which is based on the real life district of Dōtonbori in Osaka - one of its most famous landmarks, the mechanical crab adorning the facade of the real-life Kani Dōraku restaurant, is pictured above. The camera was reworked, the combat was given polish, plenty of new minigames were introduced, and it was pretty much a textbook example of how to do a sequel; bigger AND better in every conceivable way. Back in the real world, once we got to the PS4 era, the first two Yakuza titles were still stuck on PS2. Developers Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio remade the original game as Yakuza Kiwami which came out in 2016, and following a change in game engine for Yakuza 6, Yakuza 2 was finally rid of it last-last-gen shackles when Yakuza Kiwami 2 was released in Japan in 2017 and worldwide in 2018 as a more or less faithful remake that was expanded with plenty of new and returning features from other games in the series. Some dude's screenshots of Yakuza 2 - likely emulated The main complaints players had about Kiwami 2 was the removal of the Shinseicho district, which was based on the real life Shinsekai area and gave players access to the real-life Tsūtenkaku Tower observation deck. Both only featured briefly in the original, and were ostensibly left out of Kiwami 2 due to either budget or time constraints with the plot elements that took place there being relocated to Sotenbori. Swing-and-a-hit - Kiwami 2 is absolutely fantastic overall Some players' issues with the Dragon Engine persisted as well, but as I played through the game (getting 100% and finishing the story twice), I have to say that I prefer this version of the combat to that of the PS3-era games, even if a stray bicycle shooting off into the stratosphere remains sure to make Kiryu take a dirt nap every once in a while. The story is ace even though it gets relatively predictable because the same twist is repeated a few times, the minigames are all good, and you get two very meaty side-activities in Majima Construction (a re-skin of 6's Clan Creator) and the Cabaret Club Grand Prix (which is a re-skin of 0's Cabaret Club Czar). You also get a mini-campaign dedicated to Majima thrown in for good measure, something that was nowhere to be found in the original game, so one could argue that the loss of Shinseicho was more than made up for. In regards to the Platinum, Yakuza Kiwami 2 has the single highest average completion rate of all the Western-released stacks at 48.50%. This genuinely surprised me as I thought Yakuza 6 would have easily have it beat on that front, but 6 is at a 'lowly' 48.00% instead. Which is remarkable in and of itself; 6 does not require you to gain anywhere near 100% completion of its side content and you can save before the final boss and change the difficulty to save you pretty much an entire playthrough on the highest difficulty, where Kiwami 2 does require full completion and two full non-cheesed playthroughs. I supposed that 6 being the older title has a hand in this, as well as the fact that neither game have featured in PS Plus Essential (something which really tanked the rarities of Yakuza 4 and 5 on the PS3, Kiwami 1 on PS4, and LAD on PS4/PS5. Additionally, I've always felt like Yakuza fans are some of the most loyal, dedicated individuals in the Trophy hunting (or even general gaming) community so it comes as no surprise that a lengthy and mildly challenging Trophy list like Kiwami 2's still has such a high percentage. Although, for as much as I can call it meaty and challenging, this is only when compared to modern Trophy lists across series. Compared to other games in the series, I'd wager Kiwami 2 is actually the second-easiest title available ahead of 6 (which was a joke) and behind LAD. It comes nowhere near the pain caused by the Ultimate Skill / Climax Battles in 3, 0, and Kiwami 1, the LEGEND difficulty playthroughs of 0 and Kiwami 1, and the minigames in 3. It's also not as short as 6, and probably on par with Dead Souls and 4 more or less, but nowhere near the length of 0 and especially 5, which can take 160 hours if unlucky, twice the length I'd expect an average person to need for Kiwami 2. My 100% save file clocked in at 65ish hours, but that's with a very optimal route in mind; work your way through content to unlock the Photon Blade RG and Dragon Pistol SP as early as possible, and then just cheese your way through every single combat encounter from then on. A LEGEND playthrough with one or both weapons is a quicker jaunt than doing a playthrough on EASY with just your fists and regular weapons. Finishing the journey to Platinum at Gyu-Kaku in Sotenbori Before starting the game I wanted to shout out the devs for not re-introducing the supremely un-fun Challenge mode from previous games, but to my shock and dismay I was treated to a similarly horrible if less challenging slog in the form of the Bouncer missions. 27 of the damn things and you need to play each of them three times on escalating difficulties. I foolishly played most of them without the Photon Blade and Dragon Pistol, but immediately 'nope'-d out of the endeavour when I saw which adversaries the final Bouncer mission throws at you. When I came back with the weapons unlocked, it took about five minutes to cheese - hurray for proper preparation! Other than that, and the needlessly expansive Mahjong completion requirements for the umpteenth time (which I completed in record fashion because, through hardship, attrition, and having to re-do them every game, I have become exceptionally good at the game), this was a really, really enjoyable Platinum, which is why I am awarding it a 10 out of 10 in terms of fun. Not because it is 100% perfect, but because it is as close to perfection as you can reasonably expect a developer to get, even when taking into account the Bouncer missions. Just like how this series is as close to perfect as it gets. I honestly cannot envision a future wherein a different game series will hold a more special place in my heart than Yakuza does. So, with that in mind, I'm looking forward to popping another one for my next milestone - I'm thinking either Yakuza 4 Remastered for my 8000th Trophy (because 4 times two is 8, big IQ over here) or either Ishin or Lost Judgment for my 175th Platinum. If you haven't played a single game in this series yet, go play Yakuza 0 right now. And if you played a few titles already, go play another! Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #75 Final Fantasy Master of I Fun: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time: 14 hours and 30 minutes I wanted my 75th platinum to be something special, doesn't mean that it has to be a hard game, I just wanted to be a part of a series I love and why not one of my favourite J-RPG series. Thankfully they released the 6 Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters on console which I was really happy about, and as you can see of my fun rating it was worth it! I am a Final Fantasy fan since Final Fantasy XV which got a lot of flak, for many reasons, but it still has a soft spot in my heart, I loved the characters, the world and most parts of the story, I do agree with the criticism but I can't help loving it. Since that time I've played Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X-2 (but dropped that one), VII Remake, XIV, Stranger of Paradise & Crisis Core and they have been a blast. So now I get to experience the first 6 Final Fantasy games and like I said, I loved it, I loved the world, the music, some of the characters, the bosses and their designs and the battle system. For me this was the perfect 75th platinum because it's a game that fits me. I do like to do the positives/negatives stuff, so let's go with the positives: + The music, I love that you can have the old version and the new arranged version, I went with the new one. Especially the final dungeon theme was great! + This game is beautiful, be it the characters, the enemies, the bosses, the world and even the background of all the fight was just lovely to stare at. + The bosses were cool, I didn't expect too much, but a few of them were quite challenging. + Especially the final boss was fantastic, I even lost once, nearly twice, so it felt really good to win. + While not a lot of memorable characters, there were a few that really stood out to me. + It also had a pretty cool plat twist that really stood out to me and made the story pretty cool. + The turnbased battle system is so much fun, it's something I sometimes miss in modern games. + No missables, I am not the biggest fan of missables, but you can go everywhere whenever you want, you can re-enter every single area and every single chest and almost every single monster can be obtained without too much trouble. A couple of nitpicks, but honestly they're very minor: - It is very easy to get lost, which was a bit annoying because I couldn't find my way at all at the start. - Some enemy encounters are a nightmare, looking at you Tyrannosaur & Warmech. Thankfully that's the only thing I'll complain about, because I love this game (if you couldn't tell ?) and I can recommend it to anyone, I am looking forward to starting my next Final Fantasy game. And as almost always, here's the platinum screenshot:

Popular Post LastMinuteSavior
Platinum + 100% DLC You must be one genius of a driver! You are the GRID Legend A decent racer ruined by a grindy and boring progression system. Still, I had fun driving the late game fast and nimble high-end vehicles. 2 hours ago, Golem25 said: P L A T I N U M # 1 5 0 ! ! ! Popular Post Trancexistence
#62 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune I had a lot of fun with this opening chapter of Nathan Drake's adventures which celebrates it's 16th birthday this year. I'm still impressed by how good the game looks despite it's age and by how expansive the game's environments are. Drake, Elena and Sully made for a very likeable trio of characters too and there are a decent selection of weapons to use. The story is a fun Indiana Jones style callback and feels like something you'd see in one of those movies. The Crushing playthrough was the most difficult part and there's a lot of trial and error involved. It can be quite unfair in places due to the randomised nature of the enemies who glide around around like they're skating on ice and are somehow able to lob grenades at Drake with the same pinpoint accuracy of Tom Brady throwing footballs to receivers. On all difficulties there are other occasions where grenades bounce off walls and the enemies blow themselves up which was always amusing. All in all, a classic PS3 game and a very important part of not just that console's history, but the history of PlayStation itself. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Total Game Time: 20 hours
Popular Post parkerdip
#90 - Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 (PS4) First trophy - 7th September 2020 Platinum - 7th June 2023 Finally decided to finish the PS4 version of this game as I already had the hardest trophies done and just needed to do some grinding to level 100. Maybe eventually I’ll try and finish the PS5 list. Edited June 7, 2023 by parkerdip
