Popular Post insaneeeRob
Bring on the Storm Life is Strange: Before the Storm Yes, another LIS plat in my collection. This game was okay, to be honest I was already tired of Chloe and her storyline lol so when I reached chapter 3 I only wanted to finish this ASAP. Well now it's time for LIS 2.
Popular Post kkulifay
Second grindiest LEGO game that I’ve ever played, just behind LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. I’ve read that the races were a nightmare, but they really weren’t that bad. Yes, the controls are janky for all racing games across the series, but most of the races were a breeze. My son and I did 100% of the platinum journey on a couch co-op, so I was paranoid about trophy breaking bugs, but we managed unscathed! Wish there was a gold brick detector, but it was an overall positive experience and my son enjoyed the 270+ characters and vehicles that game + DLC offered.
Popular Post disaster500
#77 Mafia: Definitive Edition - 24.40% Personal Difficulty - 6/10 Time Played - 25 hours Mafia: Definitive Edition is a remake of the 2002 game Mafia, where you follow the story of Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver who unintentionally gets involved in organised crime and gang wars. Tommy is telling his story to a police detective in exchange for protection of him and his family, and to help shut down the Salieri crime family in the city. The actual game takes place in flashbacks, which range from him accidentally getting involved in 1930, all the way to the circumstances that led to him talking to the police in 1938. The game is structured in 20 missions, most of them covering some form of heist/attack on rivals. Gameplay mainly consists of driving and shooting, with the occasional stealth section. The shooting is cover-focused and plays very similar to the Uncharted games, and the driving is usually spiced up some way, whether it be completing a race, escaping cops or chasing other cars while your allies shoot them. A large chunk of the trophy list are just unmissable story trophies, and another decent portion consists of collectibles. There's a lot of them, and while they aren't too bad due to mostly being tracked and showing up on the minimap when you're close, there were still well over 150 in total, a little excessive imo. Most collectibles are in the "free ride" open world, but some are exclusive to specific story missions, but thankfully they aren't missable due to chapter select. There's 1 more thing I haven't mentioned that you have to do for the platinum, and it's the reason why the game's a 6/10 in difficulty. You have to beat the game in Classic difficulty. To be honest, I don't like this difficulty. The shooting parts are fine, you take more damage but that's nothing new. My problem with Classic difficulty is that it forces the driving to be set to 'Simulation" mode instead of "Regular" mode (disclaimer: everything I'm about to say could just be because I don't play racing games, and therefore I'm bad). What this means in gameplay is that your car becomes a POS that will spin out whenever you attempt to turn a corner at more than a snail's pace. This might be accurate for cars in the 1930s (I wouldn't know), but it definitely doesn't make driving any fun, especially as most forced driving sections require you to be fast in some way. This especially becomes a problem for the infamous race in chapter 5, where you have to place 1st in a race with 15 other drivers. If you ever spin out, you've already lost and might as well restart. The other drivers also like to bump into you, which may also cause you to spin out and lose. In total this race took me about 1hr 45m to beat, quite annoying when most of that was resets on the first few turns. Overall, a fun game with a good story. The collectibles dragged on for longer than they needed to, and Classic mode was annoying at times, but it didn't ruin the experience. Recommended. (also, why is the EU plat 24%, but the NA plat is less than 17%?)

Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
153 - Alan Wake Remastered (PS5) I saw the trailer for Alan Wake 2 in the PlayStation showcase and thought it looked cool, so figured id give this one a shot when I seen it on sale. I was surprised I never heard of it since I try to stay pretty upto date with horror games, but I guess this one eluded me somehow. Got to say this is just my opinion but I really didn’t enjoy this game. The control is awful, the combat is boring and annoying, the enemies are repetitive, the story is convoluted. It was honestly a massive pain to get through this twice, I could only manage to play it for about an hour a day because it was just boring me to death. One of my biggest annoyances with this game is when you pick up ammo, it automatically switches to whatever gun you picked up ammo for, I never got use to this and so was constantly using ammo for a gun I didn’t mean to. Also Alan runs out of stamina faster then anyone in any game I ever played, he runs for like 3 seconds then is out of breath and panting, I’m sure even the worst shape people on the planet could run longer then this guy. It’s so terrible it would almost be better if there was no run in this game at all. You lose all your guns and ammo after every level, I could see if there was some reason you just lost all your stuff but there often isn’t. To make it even dumber you’ll often pick most of the same things you just lost back up again minutes into the next level. Why couldn’t I have just kept it? What purpose did losing everything every level have? The enemies are so repetitive and say the dumbest things, at first it came off cheesy and kind of funny in a campy sort of way but by the end of the second playthrough it was so annoying I had to turn the speech volume off. For instance one enemy says “there are 3 billion pigs in the world” like what?? Is that suppose to be scary or what? What is the purpose of such dumb dialogue? The first playthrough I kind of liked Alan’s narration, it kind of sells you that he’s a writer or whatever but by the second playthrough I found his voice acting kind of weak and that was annoying me as well. He never shuts up lol. Also for a horror game there is basically nothing scary about this, no jump scares even, it’s just cheesy like some parts your being attacked by possessed wheel barrows and barrels lol I don’t see how anyone could find that scary. Honestly if I were to rate this game I’d probably give it like 5/10 but if I were to rate the platinum, since it makes you play the game twice that brought the enjoyment of the platinum way down to maybe 3/10. I know this game has got some positive reviews but I’ve also read some awful ones so it seems pretty divisive. This is just my opinion on it. Honestly they’d have to make massive improvements across the board in the sequel for me to play it after this. Sorry for being so negative but I can’t think of anything I enjoyed about this game.

Popular Post Swotam
#205 - Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PS4) Chalice of Torment 11% Rare Well, this is one I never expected to actually get. I originally played the game in November 2020 and enjoyed it well enough, however the dreaded Deadly Obsession trophy interfered with my Platinum plans. For those who don't know, Deadly Obsession requires you to play the game on the hardest difficulty without regular checkpoints, so a death of any sort will typically set you back 30-45 minutes. This normally wouldn't be that big a deal, except this game has the tendency to kill you all by itself, so not only do you have to deal with your own mistakes, you also have to deal with the game being a bit wonky when it comes to platforming or scripted chase sequences and killing you all by itself. I'd gotten about 1/2 way through my Deadly Obsession run in 2020 and after yet another extremely annoying, game-fail cheap death, I decided I'd had enough and just walked away. Fast forward to 2023 and for some reason recently I decided to pick up where I left off. Some might say that jumping in half-way through a game on the hardest difficulty while not remembering how the controls work with limited checkpoints isn't a smart idea, and those people would be right, however after some initial awkwardness and experimentation I got back into the groove and managed to finish off the second half of the game without too much trouble. The thing about Deadly Obsession difficulty isn't that it's particularly difficult, because it's not really that hard, it's the damn checkpoints and the fact that you can die from random platforming blunders that half the time seem to be caused by the game rather than by the player. Regardless it's done, so that's over with. It's a straightforward Platinum with no missable trophies thanks to an open-world design. Cleanup is fairly straightforward and you'll probably get a large chunk of the trophies done before you finish the story. The game itself is decent enough, and if you like the Uncharted series you'll probably like the Tomb Raider series as well since they're quite similar in exploration, puzzle, platforming, and combat. Not entirely sure where Crystal Dynamics is planning to take the franchise, but I will say that I enjoyed the reboot and sequels and will play more of these games if they continue to make them, especially now that Naughty Dog has hung up Nathan Drake's hat for good. Popular Post No longer here
100% - Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Rating/Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 300 Hours PSNP Rarity (100%): 1.51% PSN Rarity: 0.3% Let me start off by saying thanks Capcom for the no platinum lol...... I mean it's all good because I was going to play it anyways tbh. Imma keep it short for today cause it's Friday and I'm lazy. I think the game is in the same quality as Iceborne, and I think the combat is ramped up a notch because the new mechanics/moves were awesome. I also feel the endgame is overall than Iceborne, mainly because you have incentives to fight every monster in the game! Yes some fights drag on a lot and some of the missions can be tedious like the follower quests. I liked them better than the rampages however it is just padded content for single - player play. I also wish the endgame updates had sieges or raid like bosses like there were in Iceborne, that was something that was missing the spark for me. Even after these issues I had, the game itself plays amazing and is the ultimate way to play MH at its best. The new monsters while less than iceborne, are really well designed and they are fun to fight. The two maps are awesome and I love the Risen monsters you fight in the endgame. The combat is phenomenal when you know how to use your combos correctly. I am a Switch axe main and I had such satisfying times with it! Overall it is still one of the best experiences I had while playing this game, similar to Iceborne! need more Monster Hunter! Shoutout to @SethHulc for being my partner in crime throughout most of this!!

Popular Post Biscoito18
#183 - Black Mirror Every Trophy accomplished Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Rarity: 51.59% (PSNP) / 12.3% (PSN) It reminded me of "The Council" only much shorter, simpler and more boring. At least some trophies have interesting names like "Profondo Rosso" after Argento's classic and "Bette & Joan" unlocked after the showdown between two old hags that hate each other. #184 - Little Nightmares II Primetime Content Consumer Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Rarity: 46.70% (PSNP) / 6.3% (PSN) I already have the PS4 version's plat and this time it was even more fun. Sometimes the platforming is a little annoying and the timing of some events is quite restricted, but nothing takes away the shine of this modern horror classic with an impeccable art direction. #185 - Haven Haven Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 Rarity: 20.75% (PSNP) / 2.1% (PSN) When I started playing I was annoyed by the cutesy dialogue and repetitive gameplay, but soon after I started to find it quite relaxing. I loved that there are several secrets scattered around that result in special scenes and the duration is enough for the game not become a total bore.
