Popular Post themindisacity
#121: Life is Strange (PS3) Been waiting to play it for a long time. Was going to wait until I got my disc copy in January on PS4, but couldn't resist the sale price on PSN last week. Really enjoyed it; one of the best games I've played this year. It's also the trophy that pushed me into Level 32 Edited December 8, 2015 by themindisacity

Popular Post Aela
31 Fallout 4 Rating: 9/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Well, it's been quite a while since I've posted here I unexpectedly acquired this game on the 11th - I had originally planned to purchase it around a month after it had released (mostly because I knew glitches were imminent, and I'd like to have avoided them). I got the steelbook edition since it was only £5 more than the standard edition at GAME - which I later found out I could have got for like £15 cheaper at every other store... I've never actually played any of the previous games in the Fallout series, so you could say I had no specific expectations and wasn't molded by the stubborn bias of any previous experience like thermosetting plastic I did enjoy this game. I loved the character creation at the beginning, and spent a couple of hours creating my characters. I also love the creation system in place for settlements which is somewhat similar to the Far Cry map editor These things being said, Bethesda made me temporarily pay for my actions (buying the game as soon as it released) with a game breaking bug that had originally stopped me from attaining the platinum. Fortunately, the patch released today and fixed it - hence I'm now posting here But, yeah. I can't say this game is perfect, not on the PS4 anyway. There are some very long loading times - I'd exit a building and it would take up to 45 seconds (which would normally take 5~ seconds) to load and just made me ask myself "Really?". In certain parts of the game, I'd also notice the fps drop to around 20 frames and the object render distance really isn't the best. For example I must have been 7 in-game meters away from a bridge, and the sides wouldn't fully render until I got even closer The gameplay in general is fine, in my opinion - I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone. I'd absolutely love for Skyrim to be released on the PS4 at this point, though This is also the first platinum I've attained in over 2 months Edited December 9, 2015 by Batman
sup3rk0alol17x
#38 Heavy Fire:Afghanistan Well, I was amused by this game. A lot of people play it just for the trophies because its pretty easy( Which is why I pick it up for 3$ first) but then I loved it. Veteran mode is easy, only 'hard' trophy is the 300 headshots but if you concentrate on it from the start its not that bad. Popular Post dalailama1989
#59 - Just Cause 3 King of Medici What a cool game - exactly what I was expecting after having played JC2 a few years back. So I compared it mostly to the old game and felt, that really most parts have been improved and only a few things didn't work quite out. First of all the story. Just Cause's stories are always the same - a dictator needs to go and in order to do that, it is advised to create some massive mayhem. It's simple, because the game focuses on the big freedom and doesn't need a serious story. Still, I was a little sad, that JC2 only featured 7 missions. JC3 now has at least a little over 25 main missions and a little more story - not much, but still pretty ok. Next point was the collectible/statistics-system. JC2 was just incredibly big and vast. There were still about 80 or 100 settlements (out of 360ish ?) that I didn't even visit. JC3 seemed to be a little smaller, but more accessible - thanks to the awesome new wingsuit, which makes travelling by chopper pretty much useless. JC2's collectibles were an awful lot and hard to track. JC3 has everything neatly organized and you easily see, what's missing. That's a huge plus. To mention a few minus-points: car-controls (especially bike controls) are a little wonky and the loading times are very long. But those are things which can be patched I believe I had a little weird incident, that my platinum didn't pop while playing but minutes later in the PS4's main menu - I wrote a little about it over here. That's why I have one of the ugliest plat-screenshot's ever Nevertheless a pretty cool game

Popular Post D-Tron
#82 - Game of Thrones Lord of Ironrath Not the most impressive platinum but still a platinum nonetheless. I have absolutely no experience with the show so the game by Telltale is my first and also only experience with it. As usual, Telltale didn't disappoint me with their fantastic story telling. Unfortunately though, I would say it's currently my least favorite Telltale game out of all the ones I've played (Both Walking Dead Seasons and The Wolf Among Us). Don't get me wrong, I thought the story was awesome but there were just some times in the game where I felt like I wasn't in control with what was happening despite making choices to make me "feel" like I was doing something. Yes this spoiler contains... spoilers for Game of Thrones. I want to discuss it in this post so click at your own risk One notable example I can think of is the situation with Gared and Britt atop of the Wall. I didn't want to kill Britt by any means. I tried to tell him I didn't want to fight him and when given the chance to stab his stomach or slash his wrist, I did the latter and Britt still died. I knew I shouldn't have bothered with reloading because it was such a bad (or good?) example of illusion of choice; where despite all you do you come to the same outcome as every other player would reach. Telltale has become infamous for this and Game of Thrones is not only no exception but sometimes felt like the worst (or best?) example of this. I really hope they make Season 2 more of a "choose your own destiny" type of game. Season 2 has a ton of potential with some of the decisions made in some of the latter episodes such as the decision you make that makes either Asher or Rodrik as Lord of House Forrester. I will be so pissed if Season 2 practically dismisses all of my really important choices. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 1/10
Popular Post Redgrave
#61: Platinum Trophy - Fallout 4 Definitely a game worth the wait after New Vegas. There were some spots I felt needed improvement but it was still a great game nonetheless. I can't wait to see what the DLC's have to offer. Also became my 4500'th trophy.
Popular Post Undead Wolf
Platinum #95 Bloodborne Bloodborne All trophies acquired. Hats off! As a huge fan of the Souls series, this was the game that pushed me to get a PS4. I don't regret it for one minute. Like all of the other recent From Software games, this one is a total masterpiece. It combines challenging but hugely satisfying gameplay, rich lore that's not spoon fed to you and a beautifully deep world all into one package. I love the sense of tension these games give you where you never know what horrors lie around the next corner. "Beasts all over the shop... You'll be one of them, sooner or later". What to say about this game... The bosses are fantastic and never fail to keep my blood pumping. Yharnam is a gorgeous Victorian era city and is still one of the prettiest games I've ever played. Oh and Doll waifu, best waifu? Enough of me being a fanboy though, how does it compare to other Souls games? I for one love how much faster paced this game is. It encourages you to be aggressive instead of just hiding behind a shield and in that sense, it fits my play style perfectly. There are areas where this game falls short of other From Software games though, such as in NPCs and their questlines. There's just not enough of them and they don't feel fully realised. There's no sorceries or pyromancies in this game, which lessens your options in combat by a bit. By no means is it a short game, but it's one of the shorter games in the series. Basically my only gripe with the game is that there isn't enough of it. This game hands down has the easiest platinum compared to the rest of the Souls games. It's similar to the other games, but because there aren't as many weapons to collect and the absence of sorceries/pyromancies make having to collect things much simpler. It's entirely possible to platinum the game in one playthrough if you backup your save before you finish it. The difficulty of the game is your biggest obstacle, which depending on how new you are to the series, can take some serious dedication to "git gud". This is without a doubt my favourite game on PS4 and it looks set to stay that way for a while (at least until Persona 5 comes out). All hail Miyazaki-san! Praise the Sun! And of course... Fear the Old Blood.
Popular Post Mint-x-Tea
#58 The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Completionist I bought the retail version of this game quite a while ago for 5 bucks. The game stayed untouched in the regal until I finally decided to give it a try. The reviews and ratings of this games weren't the best ones but luckily I gave it a shot. I really enjoyed the mechanics of the games and how you can command with your (most of the time brainless) AI partners. The graphics were quite nice, leveldesign was okay and the story average. I only had a few bugs for example sound-wise and the game froze on me only one time. Trophy-wise it was nothing too bad. I did it in two playthroughs getting most of the trophies in the first playthrough and getting used to the controls and the battle overview. Commander difficulty had some challenging parts, especially when your two AI partners are dumb as hell and you have to send all them aliens back to where they came from on your own If you can get this one cheap, give it a try it can be lots of fun. Now I want to see it at 100% and get the DLC Edited December 9, 2015 by Alexi-Sama

Popular Post Div_Muzza
#82 Perfect Assassin Unlock All Trophies 4,154 Achievers 11.79% Rare Loved this game was so happy to be able to play again with my brother like we did growing up but as soon as I heard it had trophies I knew I would have to platinum it. Well over a year ago I started my Professional playhtrough only to get stuck on the very last mission. Must have tried 50 times before the game got shelved and I moved on with others always with the intention of going back to it. Pulled it out last night and got it first try then ran through quickly collected the weapons I was missing.

Popular Post Boooda
Platinum #225 Destiny Guardian Lord Well, almost 102 hours later I finally have this platinum. This game has come a long way from when it released. I had stopped playing it strictly due to disappointment but once year 2 hit and TTK released I figured i'd give it another go. Man was this game a blast to play with friends. Coming back to it I only had a handful of miscellaneous trophies left as well as all the raid trophies, and thats where the best part of this plat comes in. Thanks to the help of TheYuriG, Xeliot, Sir_Bee, etc I was able to get Flawless Raider (after a few attempts at the Bridge, Yuri ) as well as Epic Raider. It was a blast and doing it with the community members was fun as hell. But by far the worst part of the plat was when all was said and done, everyone disbanded, and I was stuck with 2 other characters to max out This grind SUCKED! Playing day after day, doing the same old bounties and the same old strikes. It really reminded me of Year 1 destiny and just how boring that shit was. But I stuck with it and finally, FINALLY got the plat This game was great fun especially with friends and im pretty stoked to see what they do with Destiny 2, but for now, I never wanna play this again. Popular Post minh2t
My 35th Platinum: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Started playing this about 2 years ago on PC and was completely hooked, spent so many hours leveling every job, crafters, gatherers to level 50 and had a great time doing so too. Was mainly playing as a SCH and occasionnaly WAR and BRD, made tons of memories learning, arguing and clearing the Coils of Bahamut. Stopped playing a bit before Heavensward came out, when I started trophy hunting. Just came back into the game recently to discover Heavensward (music is amazing in Ishgard) and realized I had completed most trophies on PC beforehand except for the 1000 levequests. So there you have it, FF14 Platinum get! If anyone's on Balmung server, let me know! I'm known as Minh Il on balmung.
Popular Post SuffyZorugelion
#153 The Mark of Kri This was a huge childhood game for me. Like I wrote in the general discussion topic about the game. I remember getting the demo with a gaming magazine in 2001-2002 and at the time this game was the goriest I had ever played. This was a few years before God of War came out. It has interesting stealth mechanics and combat, but all of those aspects could of been taken a lot further. Sometimes the combos tend to be a little unresponsive and enemies will simply ignore the combo and just interrupt it with their attacks. Thats probably the most annoying part of the game. It's deffinately not bad a game and it's good to remember that it's 13 years old. The story is a bit on the short side, but it didn't really bother me this time around. In todays standards it's probably a normal lenght for a game... I highly recommend this for everyone who likes good adventure games. It's a pretty simple platinum to get as well. I'd estimate about 15 hours. The game let's you use cheats as well so the haunting challenge rooms become a piece of cake! I'm gonna start writing a trophy guide for the game tonight. Popular Post Superbuu3
#135: Ben 10 Omniverse Omniverse Overlord Earn every Trophy in the game I haven't actually been playing much lately, but while my nephew was sick thought it would be a good opportunity to play some family friendly coop action. I grabbed this game as it was made by the devs behind EDF: Insect Armageddon and there was at least one good Ben 10 game on the PS2. This was a pleasant suprise, its a basic beat em up for 2 player, one of you controls Ben the other Ben's side kick Rook (yes this means I played Rook >_>). Ben gets to change between a good 15+ aliens all with different movesets and Rook has 5 movesets depending on weapons. Considering its a game for kids its got a decent variety in combat and has some light puzzle elements utilising the powers specific to certain aliens, which I thought was a nice touch. If you have any kids, nephews, cousins who are Ben 10 fans this is fun to play with them. Considerably better than the sequel and the other PS3 Ben 10 games.
Popular Post Boooda
Platinum #226 + 227 Game of Thrones (PS3 + PS4) Lord of Ironrath I dont mean to post again so quickly, but I just finished this and had to lay down the law. This game sucked. Im not really a big telltale fan, but I've enjoyed some of their stuff, most notably Tales from the Borderlands, but Game of Thrones seems to have created its own cliche and its not a very enjoyable one. Having every fucking decision you make end badly and having nearly every character you meet die, really kills the enjoyment. Its like, theres no winning. Ever. You always lose and because of that you start to just not give a shit. And by the time I hit episode 6, thats what happened with me. I just didnt give a shit. I knew people were going to die, its the finale, and they've been dying every other episode so why stop now? Theres no substance to this story other than the shitty plot device of characters dying. Also there are some characters that straight up didnt need to be in the game whatsoever. Characters like Gared and Mira who are literally at polar opposites of the main conflict going on with the rest of the cast. Its a massive pisstake especially when you find out at the end that nothing gets resolved anyways and you're left with a gabrage cliffhanger. Idk this game really rubbed me the wrong way, it was an episode too long and released way too sporadically. Nearly a year of waiting for this story? C'mon. And for fucks sake, fix your fucking engine. Enjoyment: 4.5 Difficulty: 1
