Popular Post D-Tron
#88 - Tales from the Borderlands We Had Fun, Didn't we? Hell yeah I had fun. I was immensely surprised at the story this game delivered. It delivered an emotional and hysterical game in both Telltale and Borderlands fashion. Loader bot gives it a thumbs up... And Handsome Jack is the best. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 9/10

Seriously underrated and one of the best games I've played on PS4. Takes everything about the vita version and just makes it better. Love the platinum image as well. Popular Post minh2t
My 43th Platinum: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD I heard the platinum was short to achieve but was still surprised how fast this was to complete. So much more to do that wasn't required for the platinum! Anyway, at first the story was very confusing but I came to like it a lot, wiki'ing stuff as I played to understand what was going on. This game is actually making me want to play the FF13 trilogy to explore more of this FF world. I personally don't recommend this game if you are new to Final Fantasy, there's so much going on without proper explanations! If you do play it, try to complete Enima's sidequest, it's the best!! You'll know what I'm talking about once you meet her. Played King as my main and switched to Trey and Eight for split missions or back-up. Deuce was the best support! I loved Sice's character but couldn't play well with her at all. Final comment to FF14 players: Nine lol, so Squarenix acknowledges the "loldragoon"?

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Game of Thrones (PS4) Lord of Ironrath Completed Season 1 of Game of Thrones No Platinum screenshot this time, since it contains spoilers, and I don't wanna be that guy... This one here has got to be my least favorite of Telltale Games' titles. Maybe it's the subject itself (I'm one of the few that actually doesn't like the show), maybe it's the ongoing gag a.k.a. the never ending technical issues...Maybe all of it. Usually I'm expecting a satisfaction of sorts, when playing through and finishing a game. GoT only offered disappointments, especially towards the end. Graphically the game is plain butt-ugly. I don't normally depend too much on visuals, but when my eyes start to bleed it's time to wake up and smell the roses. Glitches vary from hilarious to appalling. I'm not sure if it's laziness, incompetence or greed on Telltales side, but this s**t occurs in every one of their games I do like the previous point-and-click series (and I love Tales from the Borderlands), but Game of Thrones is something I simply cannot recommend. Even to fans of the show. But, it's all water under the bridge now, and my sights are already in the next game(s). And since there's two cool milestones coming up for me, my RNG is having a well earned vacation. I'm 29 trophies away from 10,000 "dings", and as it happens, I happened to found a great game with exactly said amount of trophies My skills are rusty with the upcoming title (it's been 15-ish years since we last encountered), but I'm ready to 'Push It to the Limit'

Popular Post whoadreader
#121 - Agarest: Generation of War 2 I'm glad to be done with this game. It started out quite interesting, you start to like the characters, the story is progressing nicely then you reach the end of a generation and then half the characters you've grown to like disappear and the story stalls for a while while you get to know all the replacements. The guild quests were also a pain since every new area you'd go to you'd have to kill loads of every new type of enemy. It really slows down game progress and you get a huge amount right at the end of the game which makes the last bit of the platinum quite grindy. Overall, while I quite enjoyed the story (despite the poor pacing), I probably wouldn't recommend the game.

Popular Post R25CCE
Plat # 97 Assassins Creed: Syndicate Master Assassin Earn every other trophy. Been so busy lately not had a platinum in a while but here is my first one of 2016! I'm 50/50 on this installment of AC, on one hand it is better than Unity in terms of characters/story and the general smoothness of the mechanics and not very buggy. But it's also very obvious Ubisoft played it safe, the graphics imo don't look as good as Unity and they have obviously done that to ensure it runs better than Unity did, the parkour in this game also felt like a step down, it wasn't as smooth as Unity and that was one of Unity's strongest points so it's a shame this doesn't match it. The missions were fun and I enjoyed the difference in using Evie for stealth sections and Jacob for the more hands on part of things. I really did not like the final part of the game, I won't spoil it but the 'magical eden objects' part of the story really break my immersion which is a shame because the rest of the game was fun and engaging. Fighting on a moving train or boat is hell of alot of fun. The WW1 side missions was also very fun and unique, surprised it's even in the main game tbh as they could of easily made that paid DLC but I'm glad it isn't. Overall a decent AC game but I think I'm burnt out on the series now, I'm glad they are taking a break in 2016 and I look forward to the reboot in 2017
Popular Post slash
#57 - Persona 4: Dancing All Night Dancing All Night - Obtained all trophies as a sucker for rhythm games, i knew that this was going to be in my catalog sooner or later. and with the quality of the persona IP it was polished, concise, and an incredibly enjoyable experience. there's a hybrid rhythm/visual novel story mode that i found interesting but rather shallow. there are some dialogue options but they're meaningless to the direction of the story. so i ended up just putting it on auto mode and listening to the story while i did other things like browse this site. which overall wasn't a bad thing, since the voice acting is superb. the pacing however, was terrible. it took about an hour into story mode before any rhythm game action happened and they're pretty far between. i really enjoyed the story itself, but the overall package could've been better. as for free play, i found it challenging despite being a rhythm game veteran. it took a bit for me to get used to the timing and the set up of the buttons allows for some very complicated note patterns. it's going to take a lot of tries before perfecting any of the songs on the hardest difficulty, which i welcome. the music videos playing in the background are outstanding as well. great choreography of the dances and plenty of costumes and dance partners for each character to mix things up. my biggest criticism however is how it scores you. it's rather unforgiving of missing notes. miss a few in a row and it'll fail you and end the song outright. miss just one note near the end of the song and you're guaranteed to "not clear" it after finishing. you can beat a high score and still not clear the song, which is still lacking. lso, the song variety is also disappointingly lacking. there are 27 songs and most of them are remixes of each other. i found myself getting bored of some of them and that definitely hurts replayability and mastery of the rhythm game. the tracks are sensational though, and definitely worth listening to in your spare time. all in all, if you're a rhythm game fan, this is a must have in your library. so tune in, turn on, and get down! also i popped this plat on my birthday. seems rather appropriate
Popular Post Brawler
Platinum #40: Platinum Trophy (Mortal Kombat X) Well, they got creative with the name for this one. All kidding aside, the game was fairly enjoyable. Thought they improved upon some of the stuff in MK9, though the story was kinda weak. Don't let the UR plat fool you, it's cake. Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Also worth noting: The weekly tower is MK1 this week, so if you need the trophy for finding a secret fight in the towers now would be a good time to get it!

Popular Post StewartBros
My PC was out of action for 6 weeks up until the start of this week, so I didn't get to show my newest plats in the platinum rain day thread. But, here they are now, along with 1 that I've earned since then. DEAD NATION GOD OF WAR II LITTLE BIG PLANET 2 LEGO PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN SOULCALIBUR II HD ONLINE TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS MAFIA II INFAMOUS inFamous was earned several days after the rest, but I nevertheless managed to net 8 platinums within the first 5 days of this year. Not a bad haul, methinks!

School Mode was definitely a grind, but I got to learn about each character so much more during it. Popular Post GarciaFever
#113 The LEGO Movie - Video Game This is the first LEGO game that I have platinumed, and it may be my last. Also, I have never seen the movie. Anyways, It wasn't too bad in the sense that you get to see a lot of characters like Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, etc. but you would think that Superman alone would be able to break all of the types of bricks that are found throughout the levels (silver, gold, black, etc.). When I was looking up a trophy guide on what collectibles I needed to get, I was a bit frustrated in the sense that I couldn't figure out how to get certain characters into my party. Keep in mind that the last time I played this game was a couple of years ago. So when I went back to playing the game today, I had no idea what to do. Thankfully I followed a video guide on where to get the remaining characters and Minikits, so it was a breeze to get afterwards.

Popular Post JaM
After 2 years and 7 months... #93 DJMAX TECHNIKA TUNE The DJMAX ALL TROPHIES ACQUIRED instead of celebration giffy.. why not listen to a song for a while... Did you listen to it? good... so you are now aware of what song I've been hearing for like 100 times.... seriously... but I still looove that song... but aside from that... I have a blast playing this game... This is actually the first Rhythm Vita game I've bought and played (I looove DJ Max games on PSP) but somehow thanks to a certain trophy... this was put on hiatus for 2 and a half years... Gameplay: are you familiar with the DJ Max arcade games? if yes, then you might be familiar with this gameplay... if not, well... it is a rhythm game but instead of other rhythm games that are played via button... this one's played via touch screen and read touch... sounds hard? yeah.. kinda... aside from touch buttons... the timing is crucial in this one.... Trophies: oooh.. it only has 30 trophies... most of them are actually easy to obtain.. some requires skill(like you really need to have lots of patience and focus) and EXP grind... challenging yet fun tbh... Definitely recommended to people that is fan of DJ Max Series/games and also to anyone that enjoys playing Rhythm games... Lastly.. will definitely pick up SUPERBEAT XONiC in the future Edited January 14, 2016 by JaM
