Lovejinder_LJ
You could play the upcoming, post-apocalyptic RPG for hundreds and hundreds of hours and still not have discovered everything, reckons Bethesda. Speaking in an interview with OXM, lead producer Jeff Gardiner said: "I've played the game for probably 400 hours, and I'm still finding stuff that I haven't seen.” Source: playstationtrophies.org 400 hours??? Now that's what I call, value for your money!!! Go Bethesda Edited August 3, 2015 by Lovejinder_LJ
Popular Post Goro
Only 400? What an absolute disgrace, Bethesda should be ashamed of themselves! I could've accepted 450 but 400 is just simply not good enough. I mean after all, i'm giving them a full $59.99!
acedragons
That's awesome to hear!!! I love games that I can spend 100s of hrs in and still not see everything and not have everything completely repetitive.

Xionx
yeah ... but finding stuff you havent seen , is not always a point to play it that long ...... i mean .... if you find a cave , lets say 30 min long with a dead body on the end ..... , and than later you find another cave with a ammo chest at the end .... its 1 h content? i dont know ... you can play every game 400h +.... that is just a sentence to make it sound better than it is . PS: i love fallout , so dont get me wrong .... but those selling advertises like "over 400h gameplay" are always stupid
QuantumMercury
But the real question is... will it be 400 hours to plat?

Dr_Mayus
More isn't always better. Fallout New Vegas had tons of stuff to explore as well. But it was mostly boring caves that had nothing in it. I wish developers would actually spend more time crafting an interesting narrative, exciting environments to explore and interesting quests for us to complete...as oppose to 400 of the same thing over and over and over.

There is a difference in finding ammo and doing quests man
ossama_2010
It'll probably be 400 Hours of randomly generated "fetch" quests, keep in mind randomly generated crap does not count as content, that would be like if I played a minigame for a hundred hours and then tell someone this game has a hundred hours worth of content. I'll believe it when I see it, who knows this could be a false advertising scheme to generate more money and sales.

Popular Post Xionx
I just remembered why I stopped posting stuff on this forum because someone else has diffrent view of a topic? .... yeah that happens in forums ... sometimes to bad rpgs are my favorite genre . but you dont get my point . i prefer a good rpg with 40-60 h really gamplay than a game with 20 h gameplay and 380h running around in wastland and getting excited to see something new like ... a bottle behind a tv . like i said , falloud is great game and i will buy fallout 4 . but plz dont be so naiv and belive every thing they say .... in end we always know it when the game is released .. but like grafik in teasers is not always every number true that they show.
SoapMacTavish222
I'm remaining optimistic. Bethesda hasn't let me down so far. I put in about 200 hours for Fallout 3, about 180 for Fallout: New Vegas and about 240 Skyrim (still need to finish a few of the DLC trophies for Skyrim) but as long as I don't finish it in under 150 hours, I consider it worth the $59.99.
Popular Post Dr_Mayus
I just remembered why I had stopped posting stuff on this forum But they aren't really wrong. I have gotten the platinum for Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim and while they are fun games it is mostly Fetch Quest or Assassinate Quests. You are doing the same thing over and over and over and while it is neat to explore a cool cave in Skyrim and at the end of it you find some big spider boss 99% of the other caves you explore have the same enemies you fight over and over and there is no boss or cool gear at the end. People love hearing that there is tons of stuff jammed into a game but the problem is Bethesda isn't really known for games working great. I would rather they trim down their game a little, take out at least half of the useless caves and dungeons that serve no point and actually make a game that works on release. But people like seeing big numbers so they will tout the 400+ hours of content and say fuck you to quality control, good story telling, interesting locations and compelling characters.
Saltyie
400 hours if you play the game like an E3 demo maybe. I liked Skyrim, but 300 hours of worthwhile content? No. It had a great 60 hours of solid enjoyable content, but after that, you have a few odds and ends to finish, and unlimited generated quests, like "Oi theres a dragon here go kill it". I'm not complaining, even 100 hours is more than enough for me, but as much as Fallout 4 has me hyped, I can't see spending 200+ hours on a single playthrough without seeing everything worthwhile.

damon8r351
I know this sounds awesome and all, but I always take these "hundreds of hours" claims from RPGs with a grain of salt, starting with Final Fantasy VI, which promised that. Sure, if you spend 70+ hours walking around the desert grinding all your characters' magic levels to 100%, it would've been 100+ hours.

Superbuu3
Bethesda should just remove fast travel options in all their games instant 1000 hour games.

thegirlruka
I'd rather have 24 hours of an amazing story than 400+ hours of "content." I don't doubt that the game has 24 hours of story, but I'd rather have that advertised than generic "content."
