Why are they trolling us with the 21 euros price? I have to buy a 50e card

Unrelated, but wow, your trophy list is amazing. Great games (not easy platinum crap) and perfect completion. I've never bothered to congratulate anyone on their trophies but I'm jealous of the quality of the games you've managed to plat. Grats!

Read my post again, I also had an issue with the plot if you read my entire post, or was stopping partway through disc 2 and never touching it again not enough of a hint there? FF IX's plot felt very generic and bland to me, it was just the stereotypical JRPG plot line, at least VII and VIII were a bit more unique with both plot and setting. The only issue I had with XIII's art style was the summons, who came up with the not-so-brilliant idea of turning the summons basically into Transformers?

I can understand not mentioning XI or XIV there in your post since they're MMOs, despite being main entries, but not mentioning X and it's art style?

Why do you think I mentioned the plot? :P You didn't actually finish the plot... Not sure how the characters are generic though. :S I think this is the difference between actually having finished the game and only played to mid disc 2. FFIX's summons weren't among the most interesting, worked like normal magic spells for the most part.

FFXIII's art style was just so bland and boring. I really can't stand the whole crystal polish finish or whatever you wanna describe it as. From what I've seen of the FF7 remake, it seems to be having the same issue, when that game did so well with it's rough and dark mood. Those background images in FF7 really captured the right mood.

As for FFXIII's summons... not memorable. I never summoned them unless it was for some one specific reason either. The game was way too easy.

FFVIII is my favorite, but if you finished FFIX you probably would have enjoyed the plot and backstories wayyyy more. It does get slower in disk 2, but I guarantee you would have had fond memories after(unless you did a lot of the side quests(chocobo digging for one) some of those were just downright grindy and boring).

But ya definitely try to make it to the end. I highly recommend playing it.

This and a lack of a world map are my biggest complaints for anything past FFIX.

I was very disappointed in FFX summons(not all) when I first played, I like the more realistic animal versions wayyy better. They just seem way cooler to me. Especially FFVIIIs summons(even if they're not incredibly useful for most of the game)

I honestly think FFVIII's summons were among the better things in that game. Not just super useful for maxing stats and their other abilities, but the fact that they could be summoned to take all the damage during a fight, one even allowed you to break the damage limit. I remember summon boosting using a rapid controller. :D I think doing it manually you could max some of them. And yes, I know they were much like in FF13, but I liked them way better in FF8 and FF10, and in FF8 they had abilities etc too. Both those games had you level them up, but not in FF13. xD etc

I liked the Chocobo Digging. :D A bit addicting. Probably not for everyone, but you would find nice prizes etc, and I loved finding the pictures and looking for the treasures on the world map, but there was a lot of side quest stuff to that which made it a whole little game inside FFIX. There was just so much to explore etc too.

OMG, they kept the 1000 skips!!! :( That will be a brutal platinum killer for a lot of people.

Was hoping for a trophy related to the coffee sidequest. :(

Tell me once you know if the cheats, if any, disables the trophies or not.

I would not like to be forced to cheat either, I don't know if I'll have patience for 12 hour speedrun.

If cheats will disable trophies, this will be a very rare plat.

Just saw on stream. There are cheats, but they disable trophies.

:D Thank you SE, at least you finally got the idea. This is great! :D

Now you can use the cheats if you want, but if you want the trophies, you must play the game as it was intended.

I for one am delighted that FINALLY we have what seems to be a very hard FF game to plat. X, X-2, 13(1,2,3), 14 and 15, 12, Type-0, 7 and world of final fantasy are all moderate to incredibly easy. I'm really happy about this. Even if I don't actually manage to plat.

The real kicker is the 1000 rope jumps. This is apparently super easy on PC, you can just click the dialogue box with the mouse when it appears. On PS1 you had to click the button fast enough after it appeared, and not before or too late.

And for those who has never done this and wonder, how hard can it be? Well, in the beginning it's slow, but at certain points it gets faster, and faster, and then maybe a slower period, before even faster, and you can't press too early or too late, and it's 1000 jumps. I think at some points it goes fast, slow, fast, slow etc too. :( You'll be spamming the button super fast, just for it to all of a sudden go slower and you'll have to slow down. I've made it to like mid 400. That's it. Nowhere near 1000. I'd be happy with like 250.

Totally stealth release....

Hope to see plenty of DQ and FF platinums. Would love to replay VI with a Platinum.

It's not stealth, it was rated a day before.

You want a stealth release? The Typing of the Dead Overkill released on Steam years ago was totally a stealth release lol.

Wasn't getting to that point in 12h in the original European version literally impossible?

In that case... you better be able to cheat! :D

On PS1, because there was that NTSC/PAL crap... but it wasn't impossible. Doing a perfect run was.

It's not impossible in the PAL version, just much, much harder.

Hmpfft, you can actually activate 9999 damage and ultra speed. I don't know how this works for trophies. In the menu you can master all skills, max gil and that stuff, and it says that disables trophies. But not too sure on this other thing here.

Plat will still be ultra rare because of some of the side-quest stuff. It's probably just the in-game boosters. It ruins the game quite a bit. Then I bet you can do the max trance and ATB bar stuff too, and no encounter. No encounter isn't that much of a biggie, because you could already skip battles on the world map and potentially get past with very few encounters in dungeons. I'm all for the speedhacks.

I'd be totally fine with the speedhack like they did in FFVII. No encounters too.

But the rest should disable trophies, that's a bit game breaking
