Popular Post MarkusT1992
Game #8: Asemblance (Day 1) What shal I say about this game? It's very short, so I already finished it on the first day of playing it. Asemblance is a game about memory. You play a man in first person, working in a memory research facility. In this facility you have a simulator to simulate some of your memories. The whole game has only three memories plus the facility you can explore. You get your tasks by a computer AI which gives you little hints. The main goal of the game is to find out what to do in a simulation to get new clues about the story. Speaking of story, I'm not entirely sure what it is about. Somehow his wife is involved and your work. I understood it that way that your wife thinks you're working to much and in the end you lose her. I could be wrong abou that though. I didn't really care for the story. By doing specific actions in a simulation you can change it. For example zooming at the clock will change the time. The game is hard to describe and I would say it is more an experience than a real game, a bit like P.T. It was fun while it lasted but was nothing special. After playing it once there's no sense in playing it again. The gameplay is nearly non existant. You can walk, zoom in and use the button on a few things. Oobedoob S Benubi
I just might buy a PSVR set in the Black Friday sale. Seeing as I'm still one game short... Which PSVR game would you like to hear me nag about, provided I buy a set? Batman: Arkham VR Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood Skyrim VR (only getting this now if I manage to get my hands on the bundle containing it) Rigs Also, not 100% sure I'm going to make the deadline on the event but I'll do my best, and I'll just keep on going until I'm at 15 games reviewed. Edit: just ordered a PSVR set, with Farpoint, not Skyrim. So the list of games I could play for this event is: Farpoint Batman: Arkham VR Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood Rigs Edited November 24, 2017 by Cubone
Popular Post vin_rob
Game #5: Final Fantasy X-2 Day 12-15 So I’ve played loads of Final Fantasy games, also Final Fantasy X is like my favorite FF. And to be honest I did play some FF x-2 on the ps2. Ok, so new game and all! You are playing with Rikku and Paine ?? I Know Rikku buy where are the rest of my favorite characters!? After a little story there is a familiar face Yuna appears! Ok so the rest must be there soon right? After your first mission you could name the prologue. You go on a airship, where you see Brother and Rin also familiar faces. You can now choose where you want to go, for example you can go to Besaid Isle where you can see Wakka, and Lulu! A bit of story, you Yuna are a sphere hunter. Member of the Gullwings, with your team mates Rikku and Paine you do most of the heavy lifting. You found a sphere that shows a cinematic of a guy that looks really like her lost love Tidus. And the goal now, is to find more spheres and see if they can find more leads that will prove that Tidus is still alive or not. Since I just did some side quests instead of focusing on the main story, I’m not really that far in the story. But Gameplay is fun, you can change your playstyle during the match. This is done by using Dres spheres, every sphere holds memories, for example a dancer or a warrior. And by changing to that sphere you change to that class. With work I didn’t really had that much time playing, that’s also the reason why I’m a “bit” late I’ll try to do some more reviewing today! Final trophies 2 / 35 Percentage 52.37% Game #6: THE WITCH AND THE HUNDRED KNIGHT: REVIVAL EDITION (ps4) Day 16-18 Bought this game in some sort of pulse purchase. Actually never heard of this before I bought this. You are some sort of familiar summoned by the Swamp witch Metalia. Your name is the hundred Knight you are legendary if you must believe the story. At the start of the game, you can choose a name for yourself. But the game just ignores the given name and gives you the hundred knight one. In the tutorial you learn how to move, run jump and attack basically all you need to know. The swamp witch wants to cover the entire earth with her poisonous swamp, so that’s where you come in. you have to travel across the map blooming some kind of tree that creates the swamp.. While walking around, exploring takes energy. When you are our of energy you slowly get weaker. You could eat an enemy to restore some energy. But if you die while not having energy you will lose all experience and items you've found that run. While playing you can find and equip weapons, there are towns in the map. Where you can be nice or you can take over the town, house by house and put them under the name of the glorious witch Metalia. Popular Post vin_rob
Game #7: Fallout 4 Day 18-21 So I never played a fallout game before, the only thing I know is what I’ve heard or what I’ve seen. When you start you was able to create a male or female.. and since I don’t want to look at a male the entire time I made a female character. Don’t worry, my review isn’t only about the character creator. I just did something in a view minutes. At the start of the game there is someone at the door, that wants to sell you some secure package. After a while I agreed and a little while later. Nuclear strikes happen. You must run away with your spouse and the baby, you are getting passage to the vault. When you are inside you are in some sort of cryo frozen sleep.. But before that, you see that your baby is taken and your partner gets shot. When you wake up, you must escape the vault and you have to kill some very big bugs. Nothing you can’t handle. When you are outside the exploring begins, and the building of your settlement. There are main missions and side missions. I’ve done some of both.. and then it was time to continue with the next game. Really enjoyed fallout 4, so I’ll try and continue playing this every now and then. Final trophies 7 / 85 (7/51 w/o dlc) Percentage: 6% (10% w/o dlc) Completion rate: 51.25%

Popular Post Metal Slime King
I've been a little delinquent in my absence from this thread for the last two game periods and for that I apologize. I just felt really compelled to focus the majority of my time on Marvel Heroes since I started playing it and that compulsion has paid off as there are a lot of rumours floating around that the server that was supposed to be shut down Dec 31st will actually be shut down sometime today. Fortunately for me, I've already got the plat and 100% safely stashed away on my profile, snatched from the jaws of server death. So with that out of the way I've played some more Strider (enough to do a proper review) and I started playing Strike Vector EX. My preliminary expectation that it would be similar to Star Fox in how it played was pretty close, if anything the levels are more open. You're not on any kind of rail, you're free to fly around the whole area engaging enemy fighters. The campaign story is bad so far, so bad. I do kind of like the space-cowboy theme it has going on though. It looks like the online will be a bit of a grind, which I'm not looking forward too. A note about Final Fantasy 14. Thanks for the free "month" of server access that expired after about 23 days, Square. It's a good thing for me that they don't handle my actual rent. @Cubone I'd be interested in Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood, since I picked it up from PS+ on the off chance I picked up a VR unit.
Popular Post Edward_FOX_86
Ok! Enough Postponing! Game #4 --> DEX PS4 What to say What to say, this Game looks and plays well. I enjoyed the time I spent with it but I'm not going to pick it up , at least for now. About the Game: The time and setting of the Game really feels like The movie with Harrison Ford Blade Runner. I mean its Futuristic and there is augments implants you can aquire so I guess It also has a little bit of Deus Ex in that regard. It plays like a Side Scroller action game (which I love) with levelling up and RPG Elements that I think are Well implemented. I think this got great reviews so definitely add it to your wishlist. I think it cost me like 14€ on amazon so now its probably cheaper. What else, the OST is very good and the Game includes the OST which is awesome, and one reason I regretted getting the physical version of Slain Back from Hell was cause It included jack s*** no CD with soundtrack just a stupid link to where you could find the songs, which I would like cause Its Metal. I really don't understand the nonsense of some companies that give you the game, no Manual and your good to Go. I still remember having to read Oblivion's Manual to understand the mechanics when that came out on Pc. Other than that there are little details well made I guess for instance the persuasion option if your charisma or whatever is upgraded, Lockpicking of course and Hacking. One good aspect of the game is that Hacking makes the game less monotonous cause it becomes sort of a Shoot em up with sort of a space ship and you have to fight your way through to get data and avoid virus. I have to say I haven't played all that much cause other games got in between. My supposedly lost copy of Dark Souls 2 arrived on my mail and I was so Happy So I played that. I also finished Resident Evil 4. I have the Ps3 digital version and I'm not buying the PS4 version cause Really I don't wish on anyone to have to go through the Pro playthrough, so I won't do that again I also played Fifa Of course I never thought I could get Neymar on FUT but I got him and I also Got HAzard, Ibrahimovic and some Informs for those of you who enjoy Football. SO I'm getting ready for my last Game which will be Castlevania Mirror of Fate HD . I will probably play more than DEX Also a sidenote DEX's Plattinum is not difficult but almost all of the trophies are missable so a Guide is mandatory and I'm not a huge Guide fan so That's one of the reasons I'll skip it for now. Although I 100% I, Zombie , Resident Evil and Energy Balance my completion dropped its now at 27,88 % as for the event Games: FIFA 13 Psvita - 29% Kingdom Hearts 2 - 0% Dark Cloud - 16 % DEX - 13% So only FIFA came above my overall completion at the start which was 28% ish
Popular Post jasondm300
I've been off of work for a bit, so I haven't had the time to sit down and put my feelings for the past few games. Let's do it! Ratchet and Clank (2016) 20/49 Trophies 31% Rating D 6+ hours The re-imagining of the classic PS2 action platformer with a great new coat of paint and modernized controls. You play as Ratchet the Lombax and meet with the defective Warbot Clank to join the Galactic Rangers with Captain Copernicus Leslie Qwark, who still is one of my favorite side characters. The goal is is to stop the Drex Corporation from taking over the galaxy stealing the resources from other planets to make an artificial world. I made it through most of the game, but I have 3 or so planets left to go. I spent way to much time trying and failing to get the hoverboard time trophy, so I'll probably wait until I get all the gold bolts and get the invulnerability. The game looks absolutely gorgeous, the closest to a Pixar movie I have seen. The controls are really fluid and easy to pick up, but I did have some problems with the camera at times, especially when I was trying to go up the training ground. All in all, I will be coming back to finish the game up after this month, as it was a blast from what I have played. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 2/21 Trophies 9% Rating D 4 Hours The second collection in the much loved Mega Man series, this one contains 7-10. Full disclosure, I have played all of these games in the past. the biggest reason I got this one was for the challenge mode. I played quite a few of the challenges, but I wasn't able to get a gold on any of them. I did get bronzes and a couple silvers. I also went and started through Mega Man 7 as I hadn't played it since the SNES days. Personally, I think this collection is weaker than the first. the first 6 mega mans, especially 2 and 3, are classic games that everyone should play at some point. 7 and 8 are not really good at all. 9 went back to the 8-bit style and felt fresh and inviting, but 10 stagnated the game again. It is a shame that we will probably never get another true mega man and have to live through fan games and re-releases. I would, however, not object to a Mega Man X collection that Capcom could release for the PS4, even if it is only X-X6.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #8 - Final Impressions Time to wrap this one up as I won't play any more of it today. I finished up the first chapter (consisting of 5 acts + prologue), which should be more than enough to give my opinion on this one. While I quite enjoy the presentation in form of a manga that's come to life, the rest is kind of a mixed bag. The combat is mostly fine, although very imprecise at times, to the point where it feels like you're blindly wailing your arms and legs around instead of actually trying to hit an enemy in particular. I've only played the story mode so far, as you need to get through that one to unlock about half the characters. The other half is unlocked by playing a different mode which is supposed to be somewhat of free roam with more difficult enemies. Unfortunately this greatly limits who you can play as and consequently the enjoyment due to lack of variety. I get why they did it the way they did, but I also think there would've been a better way to do it. Like for example being allowed to switch between characters that you bring along, but for some reason the devs decided against it. Another thing I noticed is that the friendly AI has awful pathfinding and is just dumb in general. This is most noticeable during the "escort" segments, as AI the characters controlled by the PC will often just stop in their path the fight hundreds of the basic enemies instead of moving to the extraction point. Other than that, the visuals are ok, the progression system is kind of meh and the music I didn't care for. Still waiting for a musou game to surpass Samurai Warriors 4 and this one ain't it. It might be a bit more fun in co-op, which this game also offers both online and offline, but even then I don't think it would last long. It's one of those pick up for an hour and drop it kind of games. Popular Post Oobedoob S Benubi
Game #10: The Swindle First dayTotal playtime: about half an hour Okay, I think this is not for me, and I think it'll be roughly the same reasons Invisible, Inc was not for me. Well, at least The Swindle doesn't have annoying punctuations in its title that would make it weird to write about it. Basic idea is king of like Rogue Legacy. Play a level, get loot, and if you die then you start over with a new character. The story has you as part of a thieving club in steampunk London at the end of the ninteenth century, who have to work their way up towards stealing some device Scotland Yard is about to activate that will somehow make stealing stuff more difficult. So it's like Orwell's 1984 except the government isn't actually the bad guy here. The levels are randomly generated (and I think I will never love a game that does this - the levels just can't get as innovative or appealing as manually constructed levels would get), and the gameplay is kind of dull. Open doors, punch guards in the back of their heads, get money, leave. Look, I'm not super into roguelikes but I enjoyed Flame Over a lot and I'm always prepared to give a PS+ game a shot if it isn't something online only or has graphics that instantly make my eyes bleed. I think this game is not for me, but as you can notice I'm writing a "First Day" review here and not a final one so it would seem like I'm prepared to give the game a second chance, some time next week, provided I have the time. If not, I'll give the game a and I'll delete it because I have more than enough games I actually want to play. For the love of Poseidon, I haven't even gotten back to Tropico 5 yet, which I played for KYC1 and which I thought was very entertaining. I just don't have enough time to play everything and some games just don't make the cut. Tomorrow and Sunday will be filled with Alienation with @MarkusT1992 and @vin_rob, and Skyrim/Stardew on the Switch if I have some time left. Popular Post dertswa687o
Game #4 - Final Fantasy X It feels like a tall task to have a strong opinion of a Final Fantasy game after only 3 hours. I'd put more time into it, but I'm already playing catch up as it is. Most of my time spent playing was watching cutscenes which is totally understandable at the beginning of the game. The story seems simple enough at this point. It hasn't gotten bogged down in technobabble or anything yet which is nice *cough* Tales of the Abyss. Characters are fine so far. Obviously they're not very fleshed out yet but I'll get there at some point. I was playing the game normally and after a little while realized it wasn't an ATB system. I thought every game had that since FF6 but I guess that's not the case. A normal turn based battle system is fine with me. I did find it was tough to select the enemy I wanted to attack. The cursor over the enemies can be tough to see sometimes and it doesn't go where you want it to all the time. The Sphere Grid is the primary method of increasing your stats. You get AP in battle which causes you to grow S. Levels and for each S. Level, you can make one move on the grid. On the grid, you can activate abilities adjacent to your current position by spending orbs. There's nothing inherently wrong with this progression system; the only problem is that it takes quite a bit of menuing to even unlock one new ability. Apparently you can take characters anywhere on the grid to customize them, but I doubt I'll be straying far from the normal path during the main game. Popular Post Melanogaster1987
Game #7 of 10: Driver: San Francicso The title should tell you what you need to know about the genre and the setting of this game :). This is my second taste of the Driver franchise - the original was one of the first PC games I played, back in 1999. So just how far has the franchise come since those days? In Driver: San Francisco, you play as John Tanner, an undercover cop who witnesses villain Charles Jericho get busted out of a prison van by a woman who shoots it from a news chopper with an RPG. In his quest to reapprehend Jericho, Tanner gets in an bad car crash, and ends up in a coma. From here, we're playing the game from within Officer Tanner's coma-induced dream, attempting to find out more about Jericho's whereabouts via his connections, with the end goal of snaring our villain and seeing him locked back up again. So, doing detective work whilst in a dream within a coma?? Yes, not a terribly realistic premise, but the story in Driver was always very much secondary to the actual driving experience anyway, so how does the latest incarnation of the series play? Just like the series' previous games, it's all about driving around an open-world city, although unlike the original, San Francisco's the only city this time. A good choice in my opinion (I thought that SF was easily the most fun of the 4 cities included in the first game because of all the hills and the stunt opportunities they provide). There are so many things to do. You can play missions to advance the story; take part in other activites to earn money, such as races, stunt driving challenges or trying to stop a getaway car from escaping; you can hunt for tokens to unlock movie-themed challenges; try some "dares" - short, snappy tasks such as keeping your speed over 70 mph for 20 seconds, or landing a jump longer than 30m; you can ram a police car to start a high speed chase (or take control of a cop car yourself to reverse the roles); or simply drive around just to goof off (ramping off the back of car transporters may never get old!). The map is enormous - it'll be a long time before you run out of places to explore. The range of available cars is where this game shines. There are 140 different vehicles to try out, all of them licensed, and it's clear that a lot of attention was given to modelling both how they look and how they drive. The handling model feels very realistic - the big-engined muscle and sports cars are lightning quick and always good for a drift when cornering, your common sedans are relatively sluggish but simple to drive competently, and big rigs can smash through all in their path but are easy to jack-knife if you're not careful. Now onto the process of switching cars - in your comatose state, you're dreaming that you can fly around the city, and can simply jump into the body of any given car's driver at any time (except for the story missions, where you have to use one specific car). This certainly makes it easy to try out a massive range of vehicles right from the outset, but it has the side-effect of making actually buying cars feel a bit pointless. There is some great variety in Driver:SF's story missions. As well as standard fare like races, escaping from pursuits, and getting from A to B within a time limit, there are some much more creative choices. I particularly liked one mission where you had to avoid the main roads in order to prevent your passenger from being seen - figuring out the best route through alleys by checking the map was a nice puzzle; and there are some missions that make good use of the car switching system, such as one where you have to constantly switch into oncoming vehicles further up the road in order to ram the front of an escaping car (but not the back or you'll kill the hostage in the trunk). However, there is one enormous annoyance with the story missions - passengers that just won't shut up. Drive even the slightest bit aggressively, or anything less than absolutely perfectly, and you'll get a chewing out every 5 seconds. Imagine the world's most annoying driving instructor, and multiply by 100. It really has drained away a lot of my enjoyment of the campaign. Throughout the game, the sheer volume and variety of stuff to do means there's a lot of fun to be had, but there are also numerous issues that drag it down somewhat, namely: - It feels too hard to lose the police when you're being chased. Even good driving at high speed is sometimes no help; they seem to be nailed to my rear bumper. And ramming them is no use - knock a cop car out of action and more backup arrives almost instantly. It seems like you just have to get lucky and hope that they wipe themselves out. - The lack of a day-night cycle. This is a major omission for a 2011 open world game, and because the game always seems to be set about an hour or so before sunset or after sunrise, it impacts on the aesthetics too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the graphics from a technical point of view, but the perpetual near-sunset conditions gives everything a permanent orangey tinge that's not always pleasing to the eye. - There's not much of a sense of speed. Maybe it's the behind the car view that I use, but even when I'm going 100 mph, it feels like a crawl. - Finally, not all of the city is open to you from the start. There have been a few times where I've been stopped in my tracks in the middle of making a getaway by a red barrier that serves only to artificially pen you in until you advance further in the story. The city's still very sizeable even if you're restricted to just driving around the first area, but artificial constraints like this always leave a bad taste in an open world game. My rating: Gold/Silver/Silver This game was a tough one to rate. Sometimes it can feel truly excellent and tons of fun; other times, you really notice all the little gripes I mentioned and it feels very mediocre. --- Trophies earned in this game: 12 (12) for 180 points [17% completion] Total trophies earned in this event: 71 (2, 9, 60) for 1,350 points Current completion rate: 55.14% [Down 4.69% since start of event] Down 0.88% due to Pinball Arcade Down 0.58% due to Thief Down 0.09% due to Ratchet & Clank Down 0.59% due to Broken Age Down 0.67% due to Sleeping Dogs Down 1.02% due to Call of Duty: Ghosts Down 0.42% due to Driver: San Francisco Down 0.44% due to other games not part of this event
Popular Post Arctic Cress
Time to review my 4th game, Yakuza Kiwami. I spent a few hours getting up to chapter 4 and then ran around town for a while, doing many of the minigames and sidequests throughout Kamurocho. It's a very fun beat-em-up from what I've played so far. You play as Kazuma Kiryu, a yakuza about to become a patriarch of his own yakuza family after a few years working under one of the main families in the area. In the first chapter, his friend Nishima murders a patriarch of a yakuza clan after kidnapping the childhood friend of both Kiryu and Nishima. Kiryu takes the blame for the murder and is sent to jail for ten years. When he gets out, the yakuza clan has completely changed. At the latest officer's meeting, ten billion yen is now missing from the clan. His friend Nishima is now a patriarch and is the one who exposed the amount in the first place. Masaru Sera, the chairman of the entire clan, also ends up murdered after the missing yen is exposed. And to top everything off, the childhood friend that Nishima and Kiryu saved suffered traumatic memory loss and disappeared suddenly from the hospital she was in during his jail sentence. Combat is very well presented in this game and you have a choice of four different styles to fight in; Brawler, Rush, Beast, and Dragon. While I fought mostly in Brawler style, I tried out all four of the styles and each allows you to approach combat differently, except for Dragon as it does not unlock new abilities until you fight a certain character enough times. Brawler is a regular beat-em-up moveset, Rush deals small amounts of damage, but a lot of punches, Beast utilizes the objects around you to create devastating combos, and Dragon is Kiryu's own signature combat with unique abilities tailored for him. You get a good taste of the full Dragon style in the beginning of the game before Kiryu gets sent to jail and I already miss it. A Yakuza game wouldn't be complete without a great deal of mini-games, and I've already gone through a few myself. I had trouble timing pitches in the batting cage, but I eventually got the hang of hitting that stupid curveball the pitcher throws. Still not enough to break any records, though. In bowling, I hit a strike to start then ended up with two seven-ten splits on the very next two rounds. However, I'm very good at the Karaoke mini-game, possibly due to the amount of rhythm games I've played. I easily got 900 on all the songs so far, and even hit rank #1 with the first song. Feels pretty good, but I don't know how to unlock the last song. Guess I'll just have to keep playing. After looking at the completion list, I can see why these games have a reputation of taking many hours to complete - there's literally an entry for everything; talking to people, running around, ordering every food from a restaurant, setting a score on a certain mini-game, it's crazy. It's the rarest trophy on the list, and I can definitely see why. There's additional challenges as lower ones are completed too, and they don't unlock until the previous one was. (They're nice enough to give you a completion % in the menu, though.) Overall, this is the game I'm definitely going to return to after the month ends, but for now, I'll head on to Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, and continue playing this game when I can. Completion stats: Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers - 7/44 - 11% Blue Reflection: 7/47 - 10% Touhou Genso Wanderer: 5/43 - 7% Yakuza Kiwami - 8/55 - 11% Completion % at beginning of event : 71.13% Current completion % : 70.17% Difference: -0.96% Almost at a full % lost. Should be that way unless I get something ridiculous like half of the trophies in Atelier Firis or something. Most Ateliers are backloaded on trophies so I doubt that would happen, but I'll find out soon.
Popular Post Myu
Day 24 - Game 4 MeiQ Time played : 19 hours Completion rate : 85.48% (-2.24% since the beginning of the event) MeiQ is a dungeon crawler released in 2016 and despite its recent-ness, the graphics, the animation and the chara design feels kinda dated You are Estra, a Machina Mage sent to Southern Cross to save the planet, along with four other girls. The world is currently experiencing eternal night and the only way to bring the sun back is to reset the world by wounding up the Planet Key. But first, you have to receive a Divine Blessing from each Spring of the Gods, located in the four towers surrouding the city. The towers are each connected to the Demon Realm, meaning that you'll be battling monsters with your mecha-guardian. Each girl gets her own guardian but you can obtain more of them by finding them and defeating them. 5 minutes into the game and you're already off to the first tower. The battle system looks a lot like Mind=Zero where the character and her Machina form a team. But unlike the characters from Mind=Zero, the girls from MeiQ can also deal major damage all by themselves (they are better used to buff the guardians in boss fights though) and they always attack first. When level grinding, I put the girls on the front line and I spam their spells. Battles end very quickly that way. You can customize your Machina's body and equip skills. You can also craft new body parts and upgrade their body. Machina guardians can also equip cores to enhance their abilities (use the same attack twice, deal x2 damage with a selected skill, etc). The map system is really weird. Usually, the map fills itself each time to progress on a new square but here, the map fills up your immediate surroundings too and it's very weird at first. Examples of maps The EXP you get at the end of each battle doesn't make sense. Sometimes, you get a strong enemy that takes several turns to beat and you only get 100 EXP, and sometimes you have that weak little thing that gives you 1000EXP. My favourite grinding spot was at the top of the Blue Tower (3rd dungeon), even when I gained access to the second-to-last dungeon. A lvl26 mob can give you more EXP than a lvl40 one. I still don't understand why. Game Over doesn't exist. If all your team members are defeated, you just get sent back to the inn and you can go back right away. You can also save in dungeons. I'm near the end of the first playthrough. I encountered several difficulty spikes and I had to regurlarly reconsider my builds. I'm enjoying the game a lot but I'm not sure I'll still enjoy it in the two next playthroughs I need to do on higher difficulties to get the plat.

I still don't understand why. One reason for the weak little ones giving you so much xp is because they are resistant to your mechs attacks. If you are spamming spells on them, they go down fast but your mechs will only do like 0-2 damage on them. Sort of like metal slimes in Dragon Quest. Find the right attack and they drop fast for ++xp, wrong attack and you can beat on them forever until they flee, leaving you high and dry. I didn't get as far as you when I played earlier this month but so far I would definitely say blue tower would be the best grinding location.

Unfortunately, that compulsion is only that. Only gotten 2 hours of gaming in the last 4 or so days. I would have had the plat if I had til December, but if the rumors are true and it will shut down in less than 2 hours I'm screwed... Well good news for you then, it appears we may all have been swept up in a wave of fake news re: premature shutdowns. I was online helping a friend grind xp when the unofficial countdown hit zero and nothing happened. He was online for hours after that working away at it and never got the boot and apparently it's still up now. I suppose it could get shut down at any time and it definitely will get shutdown Dec 31st but as far as I know, you haven't been shut out yet. @Kevvik The idea that there exists a means or reason to defeat metal slimes is also a myth perpetrated by the media elites for their own twisted agenda. Popular Post Oobedoob S Benubi
Game #11: Alienation First dayTotal playtime: about three hours and forty-five minutes Played nine missions (out of twenty) with @MarkusT1992 and @vin_rob today. Hoping to get the rest done tomorrow. It's a twin stick shooter. The story is: there's aliens, go kill them. Okay fine, a bit more... Graphics are good, progression feels nice, difficulty curve is good. I imagine the game is a nightmare for trophy hunters since you need to do a full playthrough and grinding with each of three character types, and there's some dependency on the randomness of loot as well. All in all, the game is pretty fun. ... Sorry, don't have that much time today. I promise to write more in my final review.
Popular Post Kevvik
Game #8: Kona Day 3+ Impressions Time played: 3 hrs So, I played a bit of Kona this morning to get myself up over three hours as the wife dragged me out to stores after work yesterday and I got no gaming done. That said, here we go... I am getting more interested in this as I progress, primarily due to trying to figure out where the story is going. I have encountered a new device in the game which are visions. I've completed 2 so far, coming across something (sans spoilers) which I touched and then was suddenly in what felt like another dimension. A little bit of chanting going on in the background so perhaps I'm on something akin to a spirit walk? You do what you need to do there and then it's back to the real world. Still exploring around, sans guide, occasionally getting lost or ambushed by wolves. I have a gun but haven't shot anything yet as I seem to be able to distract them with steaks that I have found in people's fridges in their abandoned houses. We'll try combat later. Storywise, there seems to be reference to a beast but no details yet. Possibly related to the condition I have found a few bodies in. Things also appeared to have not been too happy here in town with a blackmailer of my intended employer, notes seem to imply that he may have killed a young woman. Still looking around houses and wandering through the woods where I have found campsites with fire pits that will help restore my warmth when lit and also some talismans hidden under rocks in similar pits (which seem to be a collectible, no obvious purpose for them). Also, the storm surrounding you helps maintain a great creepy atmosphere. The game has me very intrigued and I'll definitely be coming back to this. Trophies earned: 7/36, 10% for E rank Score so far: 7/10 Completion Rate: 78.95% (-2.53% for the event)
Popular Post DamagingRob
Final Review- Gal*Gun Double Peace Well, like I said, not gonna be much to add. But there are multiple story paths, and you choose which one you want fairly early in the game. At first, there are only 2, but more and more open up as you complete True Endings. Which require getting a high enough score, and maxing out the girl's affection. Maxing it out is done by doing well on a couple of minigames during the story, and by selecting correct dialogue choices during the visual novel segments in between levels. And I have to say, fuck those stupid touchpad minigames.. From the looks of what I have left in trophies, I'm done with those. Thank God for small favours. It'd be one thing if you could just simply retry them, but noooo, they have to make you replay the entire level again. Meanwhile, boss fights can be restarted as many times as you like, without fear of having to do the level before. What the hell, devs!? There's a shop where you can buy upgrades for Houdai. Things like increasing the damage shots do, the amount of health you have, or speeding up the measurement taking process (still not that fast, and you'll likely take hits trying for them). You can even donate a ton of money to the shop owner, and get an ending with her. So yeah, that's pretty much all I got after 2 more playthroughs. Getting one million points in the 3rd one was a bit rough, due to having to retry stages multiple times to get scores I was happy with. But now the hardest part is probably over. I just have the rest of the endings and grind ahead of me. Like I figured, though, it gets pretty damn repetitive, so I'm definitely ready to take a break from it. I think I'll give it a rating. Time played: Still no idea. I'll guess 15 hours. I'm sure it's going to take me way longer than the 25 hour minimum estimate on pst.org, at the rate I'm going.. Trophy progress: 27/39 for 58% and an A rank. Did it lower my completion? Yep.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #9 - First Impressions Having tons of fun with this one so far. I'm only in the 2nd mission out of 5, because I spend time exploring every every corner of the level, while looking for things to steal. There's much more content than I had anticipated There are several main missions to complete during each mission, as well as several side missions. There's also different ways to get an objective done. For the first playthrough I'm focusing on stealth, while looting everything in my path. The loot essentially turns into coins, with which you can buy upgrades and items from a black market dealer. Some of the upgrades also can enhance your special abilities. The game looks pretty good as well and gives me Bioshock Infinite vibes for some reason. PS: You can speak to rats, that will give you hints on some of your objectives.

Mega Man 7 has some similarities with the Mega Man X series which was also on the SNES. It's not a bad game, but I don't consider it an all time classic like 2 and 3. Mega Man 8 originally released on the PS1. This was probably one of the last somewhat decent Mega Man games before Capcom decided to put their hero in 3-D. Compared to Super Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, their games sucked in 3-D. Too much dialogue, there was already too much dialogue in the SNES games. Mega Man 9 and 10 are pretty good though. I played a little bit of both on my alt. Mega Man 9 is hard as fuck though, some pretty difficult level layouts and it's easy to get hit in most of them. I'm looking forward to a Mega Man X collection too. Maybe in 2018 or 2019.
Popular Post Metal Slime King
Game #7 - Strider Strider is a reboot by Double Helix of an older, critically acclaimed, under milked IP from publisher Capcom. This new game is a fairly large 2d metroidvania, down to the doors keyed to specific power-ups you must eventually obtain. Set sometime in the near future, you play a ninja of the Strider clan sent into sprawling Kazakh city (presumably located in Kazakhstan) to take down Chairman Grandmaster Meio. Standing in your way are an army of robots and cloned warriors and SCIENCE! The story so far has been campy fun and I suspect that will continue. Spoiler Robot Gorilla! Better looking than the original. I'm going to give this game a (-). The graphics are alright, they're not retro. They are done in 3d and then locked to a 2d plane. The character models look pretty silly whenever there's a close-up on one of them. The music is probably closer to the original game than the graphics. The game does a good job of creating an interesting, unique space. The different areas are distinct but they're put together in a cohesive way. Your guy can climb along most walls and ceilings which is good to get around but I find him to be a little too sticky and you can get hung up on walls at times. This becomes an issue at one point in particular where you have to outrun a laser wall through a gauntlet of platforming challenges. Further in the game you pick up a double jump and an air dash and moving around is quite fun. It's a decent challenge, a nice balance. The trophies are what you'd expect from a metroidvania type game; collect all the things, beat it on hard, do a speed run. I certainly don't foresee this game bringing down my completion rate for long. I got the plat after a second run through on hard. I was psyched to get the under 4hr speed run at the same time with a final time of 3:40:06. The speed run clock in this game is very player-friendly. It pauses on the map screen so you can compare with a completed map and focus only on useful pickups and if you die the clock resets to where it was at the respawn point. I picked up all of the health and most of the energy boosts because the last area is pretty tough. Last level got easier with practice switching weapons on the fly, those warping soldiers can be frozen with a couple swipes of the ice blade then switch over to explosive for a quick finish. The most useful tip is to remember your special attacks, mainly the phoenix shot but the jaguar is useful too if there are a group of enemies on the ground that need softening up. If you pick up the energy recharge rate boosts then your specials refill quite quickly. It's a fun game that I'd still recommend after getting the plat.
